Lorelai ‘Rory’ Jones is used to drifting city to city, gig to gig, never staying long enough to get attached. One electrifying encounter with Hollywood’s golden boy, Sullivan Masters, changes everything. Their connection is instant. Before she knows it, she’s moving to Los Angeles, chasing more than just a career as a DJ, she's chasing the promise of more than late-night adrenaline.
Yet fame casts a long shadow. When Sullivan’s glittering world starts to cage her, Rory finds refuge at Euphoria, an underground club where the music never quits and the nights run hot. There she meets Asher Lark, the club’s intense and magnetic co-owner who studies her as if he already knows how the story ends.
Where Sullivan is polished and untouchable, Asher is grounded, fierce, and impossible to ignore. What begins as friction soon ignites into something hotter than either of them expects. Rory now stands between the man who set her world ablaze and the one who might heal what remains of her heart.
Piper lives in East Tennessee with her husband, two children, and their dog, Denver. She enjoys reading, horror movies, and occasionally binging television procedural dramas. Her weakness is NFL Redzone on a cold Sunday with a bowl of chili. One day, she hopes to own a few acres of land in the countryside and travel to New Zealand for vacation. This book was like watching a car crash in slow motion.
I truly did not like Rory the first half of this book, she was indecisive, her back and forth was driving me crazy. I was almost sorely disappointed at the insta love, and then Piper in her true fashion gave me a reality show unfolding on the pages, and before I knew it I was rooting for Rory and the man who finally understood her.
Sullivan is the hot tv star vacationing in Australia, and when he meets Rory he falls hard, but he only wants the pieces of her that fit into the mold. Things are moving fast and before she knows it she’s living with him in LA, working as a DJ in the hottest LA club. When the pieces start to slide out of Sullivan’s perfect mold, his Hollywood rival may just be the one to pick up the pieces.
This book was a journey, a car crash, and beautiful journey of self discovery.
Thank you so much to Piper Leigh Ion for the gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.
Obsession On Repeat is book 1 in the Vinyl Hearts series. This is a binge worthy, easy and fun little romance. I absolutely loved the fact that the FMC was a DJ, this was my first time reading that and I thought it was really fun. Starting off I wasn't too sure about it, I thought the romance progressed very quickly and they moved so quickly. As the story progressed I understood where the author wanted to go and then I started to enjoy the book much more. After that I just couldn't put it down and finished it in one sitting!
The FMC Rory had a lot of previous traumas which made me make possible questionable decisions and impulsive ones. She kept falling into the same patterns. In came Asher which was such a breath of fresh air, that made her realize what she deserved. I really loved their dynamic, their chemistry and how much he cared for her. There is also a lot of growth that occurs from the FMC even in the shortness of this book.
Overall, this was a super fun, fast and easy read. It's a story that delivers its purpose of being entertaining, not too serious but at the same time touches on real issues. I enjoy Piper's writing and am excited to continue this series !
✨️Thank you to @piperleighion for my gifted ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I had the pleasure of BETA reading Obsession on Repeat.
This book had me hooked right away! I love a good romance story and Piper really nailed it with this novella. You follow Rory a popular DJ as she falls in love and makes big changes for him! There’s some 🌶️ and a love triangle…
I’ve already been recommending this book to all of my friends.
In true Piper fashion this book sucked me in and I didn’t stop reading til it was finished! In this book we follow the FMC Rory, who is an amazing and a famous DJ. She never stays in one place for very long, and she’s afraid of a commitment and being hurt again. Past trauma and people always leaving and never choosing her. She meets Sullivan while working in Australia, he is a world famous actor and he’s gone a lot, he convinces her to move to LA, where he lives, with him. Things get rocky and aren’t what they seem to be! Rory is feisty and although she’s afraid to speak her mind sometimes, she’s not afraid to defend herself. There is a twist, I kind of expected but wasn’t sure about that I was excited for. Can a famous actor and a DJ make it work? You’re gonna have to read this book and find out!
Rory wasn't looking for love, but it sure found her. Obsession on Repeat is a completely different kind of book I'm used to reading from Piper Leigh Ion. And I absolutely loved it. Rory, aka DJ Fetish, is an independent, feisty, determined, outgoing FMC. Sullivan, to me, is a manipulative, argent, jealous MMC. And then you have Asher, who is loving, fun, strong, protective when needed, MMC. A definite recommend read for me. Now, I am just patiently waiting for book two of Vinyl Hearts.
Rory (Lorelai) Jones aka DJ Fetish, has been working in a club in Sydney, Australia for a few months and is feeling ready to move on again soon, never setting her roots down anywhere. Bad experiences in her childhood and her relationships have left her never settling anywhere and constantly finding herself unable to trust in anyone or any place for long. One night, Hollywood heartthrob Sullivan Masters, takes an interest in her and doesn’t want to let go. They have one night together and she is happy to keep it as that, but he wants so much more! He is only in Australia for another two weeks, before returning to LA, meaning she sees no reason to pursue a relationship with him, because if she did fall for him, he would just leave her, like so many others. Due to his fame, an innocent romantic moment on a deserted beach is ruined by the paparazzi, leaving her left to fend mostly alone, with Sullivan wanting to control her life and what this brings to his. He returns to LA and the fever surrounding her soon dies down with no fuel to keep the flames burning. Somehow, she is persuaded to follow him back to LA and she finally finds herself a job at the most popular club out there, Euphoria, owned by a woman called Vanessa, and her silent partner, Asher Lark, another Hollywood actor. Rory had found it hard to explain her background to Sullivan and they end up fighting a lot, when he leaves to start filming for six months, leaving her all alone in a strange place. She only has a fellow female worker to talk to about her issues, but Asher also seems to be taking an interest in her.
Rory tells him she isn’t interested, as she has a boyfriend, which he understands and says he will never cross the line about. She soon finds herself looking out for him each night, always finding him watching her. His silent support and interest makes her feel safe and welcome, just as her world with Sullivan seems to be blowing up. Her identity at Euphoria has been rumbled and the stories start coming out about her again. Who has given the paparazzi the photos of her is anyone’s guess, but they hurt her deeply. An innocent photo of her and Asher, soon has Sullivan rushing to her side and picking a fight with Asher. It doesn’t solve the issues between Sullivan and Rory, the very man who got her to break her long held distrust of men and follow him across the world, setting her life ablaze. Now, she is stuck between the attentions of two men, one who set her life on fire and the other, who might just be able to heal her heart. Her relationship with Sullivan is on the ropes, whilst Asher is still around and there to protect her, without any demands in return. Rory just wanted to be able to DJ in clubs where she can be happy doing what she does best, free to live where she wants. Her position at Euphoria is under pressure with the attention of the paparazzi and it may well be easier just to run away again. Obsession could go either way, as Rory has to decide between two different men, one she finds herself drawn to and able to talk about her past, whilst the other never bothers to push her to discuss it. She makes the right decision in the end, for a future with the man who is best for her, but not without a few issues along the time. An interesting look at relationships, how to trust another after years of having yours broken, and then realising who is the better man when push comes to shove!
I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout, and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above. 4 1/2 stars
Thank you for my gifted ARC, this review is of my OWN OPINION 🖤
There’s spoilers somewhere! Proceed with caution book baddie 😈
I absolutely loved this little read. I got frustrated at times with the main FMC, but I understood her struggles. She didn’t want to be “dissected under a microscope” by the press by being with a famous guy. She gets a new job and he goes away for filming. The boss comes around and shows her worth, there is no cheating. She broke it off with the ex. They had their issues. She does the right thing by telling the ex about the boss before the media got out with crazy lies. She falls for the boss (part club owner) and they have a beautiful love and he’s patient and lets her make choices and doesn’t rush her. He gave her space and she realized he was what she wanted. I absolutely loved this sweet read, alittle different for me, but worth the read 🤍 I loved seeing the FMC’s growth throughout the book and I liked the idea of her being a DJ. Very cute !! 🥰
Lorelai 'Rory' aka DJ Fetish, is a feisty, independent, sarcastic, outgoing FMC whos job is her life. In walks Sullivan Hollywood's main heartthrob. They fall for each other immediately, despite Rory reluctance from past traumas. After she moves to LA with him and starts a job at the hottest club in town Euphoria. We meet Asher, who is intense, fun, loving, and protective. Compared to Sullivan's jealous, controlling, and manipulative behavior, Rory finds herself drawn to Asher, and she now has to choose between the love she has, and maybe the love she needs.
Obsession on Repeat was a fun easy read! It really jumped into the romance quick. I was almost surprised how fast the relationship was progressing. Then when she moves to LA, I grasped where the author was going with the story, and really started to get invested. For such a short story I felt like you really got the feel of the relationships and the characters, they had depth that you don't always get. I really enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting!

Obsession on repeat is about Rory (AKA DJ Fetish). She’s been through some things and her rise to DJ game is just starting to shine when Sullivan, a famous movie star, enters the club she works at in Australia and sets her life in a new direction. He quickly becomes obsessed with her and while she enjoys being with him, to the point she thinks it’s maybe love, she begins to question why he loves her and the dynamics of their relationship.
Never the less, she moves to LA with him and they move in together. She gets a job in the hottest club in town and her rise to fame is her launched. However her new lifestyle comes with a cost whens other famous movie star falls for her.
This story was binge worthy. It wasn’t a masterpiece. But it was easy to read. Spicy but not overly so. And Rory knew what she wanted even if she denied it. Quick read, fun read and one I’d recommend if you enjoy easy romance.
When just one more chapter at 1 am turns into devouring the entire book. This spicy little novella was worth losing sleep to read. Rory has spent her life moving from town to town and not getting attached to anyone. Because when you do, they just leave. In steps Hollywood golden boy, Sullivan Masters and he’s obsessed with her. Photos of them hit the tabloids and her life is no longer her own. After following him to Los Angeles, his life as an actor and constant time away begins to drag her down. But she has a new gig as DJ at one of LA’s hottest clubs. When Sully doesn’t call or answer her texts Rory turns to club co-owner Asher Lark for friendship and support. But a photo of them lands her in the tabloids again. Is this just Obsession On Repeat?.

This is an enjoyable read about what happens in the past and how sometimes though the path may look similar, it’s how the path is handled that may cause a different outcome.
Rory has cut herself off emotionally while still allowing herself to have a good time to meet her needs. As a DJ, she finds herself in the flow of music and maybe a little more in Sullivan.
Sullivan is an actor with an image to protect but what happens when he meets Rory and falls. Will his image remain intact or with his love for her take all?
Then comes Asher, another actor who is thrown in and causes chaos and confusion for Rory.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read and held lessons that were relatable to life.
Rory is a tough shell to crack. She wants to make a name for herself and has done an amazing job as DJ Fetish. She was spinning tracks when she was introduced to Sullivan. He’s a famous actor. I knew Sullivan wasn’t it for her. Sullivan is all about his image, he was not what Rory needed! Rory moves from Australia to the States to be with Sullivan. Sullivan leaves her to start another movie. DJ Fetish starts spinning at a club named Euphoria. Her boss Asher is everything she never knew she wanted all wrapped up in one deliciously looking package. Can she handle the temptation?
An amazing read… start to finish! Hard to believe it’s outside the norm for this author!!!

I really did enjoy reading this book it was a great read at first the main female character Rory was driving me crazy with her indecisive about being with Sullivan but the more and more I read the book and more I got to know who Rory was as a person she was making the best decisions for herself and getting to know herself. Been along came Asher and all things changed she really started to see who she was and what her value was in a relationship. I'm glad she actually made the right decision to be with a man who wanted to be with her and all of her fault and all. I received this book as a ARC
I loved the FMC & really connected with her. I enjoyed learning about her past trauma & how that affects her present life. I thought the DJ & celebrity aspect was interesting as I’ve never read a book with this dynamic before. I also enjoyed the love triangle & seeing the FMC’s growth throughout. This was a quick, fun, emotionally raw & real story I enjoyed reading!
Obsession on Repeat by Piper Leigh Ion is all about the fire and the fallout of love in the spotlight. Rory’s whirlwind romance with Sullivan burns bright but soon feels like a gilded cage. Then comes Asher—raw, magnetic, and the total opposite of Hollywood perfection. The tension between polished fantasy and fierce reality makes every interaction sizzle. A story of passion, choice, and the kind of connections that can break you or put you back together.
As Always I will scream it from the rooftops, Piper has done it again. I absolutely love her writing and this one had me hooked from the very first page. The way piper tells a story is binge worthy. I can’t get enough of her books. I own all of them and have read each one more than once. You will not be disappointed with this book. It’s another 5 star!
Piper does an incredible job making you absolutely despise Sullivan—I wanted to punch that man in the face the entire book. And Rory? I wanted to grab her by the shoulders and yell, “Do you see these red flags?!”
But then there’s Asher. I freaking adored him. He’s the kind of character that makes you keep reading and root for something better.
I was lucky to be an ARC (advanced reader copy) reader for Obsession on Repeat. This was my first Piper Leigh Ion book and she did not disappoint. The characters drew me in right away and the story line was fire! Can’t wait to read more of Piper’s books.
