Using Ali as an example, this book explains the importance of practicing good hygiene and why it is important to wash your hands thoroughly. Staying clean keeps germs at bay, of course, while bathing, washing her hair, and putting on clean clothes keeps Ali smelling fresh. I also liked how the book discussed the importance of keeping dishes clean as a way to keep bacteria from growing. No one wants to smell those odors that emit from plates and dishes piling up in the sink.

I loved how kid-friendly this book was. The layout was just right for young, inquiring minds. It had a contemporary feel to it, in terms of content. Also, it wasn't preachy, rather it was informative.
