I Called Him Uncle Will

Rate this book
Doris 'Coke' Lane Meyer, knew Will Rogers, not only as the Follies star he became, or the widely read newspaper columnist, or the popular star of radio and movies. She knew him as a favorite uncle who loved to sing and 'cut up' and tell jokes and stories long into the night.

I purchased this book at the annual Will Rogers and Wiley Post Fly In at Will's birthplace in Oolagah. Mrs. Meyer, "Coke", autographed my book and as a bonus kissed me on the cheek. Her book is a wonderful read about her family and her famous Uncle, Will Rogers. The book is a wonderful tribute to him and I am sure will be treasured most by her family members for years to come. I enjoyed being transported back into time and especially liked the stories on Sunset Farms. Having relatives that live in Chelsea and Oolagah also make the book and the heritage of Will and his family special to me. Thank you, Mrs. Meyer, for sharing your stories.
