When priceless dinosaur fossils vanish from a Southern California museum, private investigator Samantha Moon is called in to recover the bones.
Sounds simple enough.
But Samantha isn’t just a PI. She’s a vampire with a few extra tricks up her sleeve. And the theft of ancient raptor fossils is only the beginning.
As Sam digs deeper, she uncovers a case tangled in black-market dealings, dark magic, and something far more dangerous than ordinary criminals. At the same time, life at home refuses to slow down. Her daughter Tammy takes on her very first investigation, her empathic youngest senses trouble on the horizon, and a quiet family dinner may be the calm before a very strange storm.
What begins as a straightforward recovery job soon reveals sharp teeth hidden beneath the surface. Because in Sam’s world, nothing is ever just bones.
Dinosaur Moon is a fast-paced supernatural mystery filled with action, humor, heart, and a dash of mischief, perfect for fans of urban fantasy, paranormal detectives, and the long-running Samantha Moon series...
J.R. Rain is the author of 110 novels and counting. He lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest, where he's hard at work on his next novel... and fighting off sparkly vampires.
When some dinosaur bones disappear from a local museum, Sam is hired to find them.
During the fight between Sam and the dinosaur, all they could think of was “wait till he meets her boyfriend”. But she handled him just fine. Poor guy.
Footnote: 1) This contains a short story called “Tammy Moon and the Tooth Fairy” about Tammy's first case. It was originally written for this book, but it is also published separately. 2) Rain is being silly in this one, talking to his characters. LOL. Maybe he should have paid attention to his editing. Silver alloy, not silver allow. Only one of which I saw.
Fave scenes: Sam getting the young couple to help, and Allison’s offer to help.
This is by far my favorite series right along with Haven Hallow. What's not to love vampires, fairies and dinosaurs o my! Our favorite Creator has done it again and the side story with Tam Tam and the tooth fairy fit perfectly. I love that Paxton was included. Sssoooo excited for Moon Wedding!
