What if you had to live with the worst thing that you ever did? I made the mistake of believing I was safe with Liliana and Ignacio. I was wrong, and now everything is broken.

I can see the shattered pieces of myself as I float through time, wondering what’s real or not. Am I dead?

The lies are bigger than any of us, and they have a life of their own. They say we hurt the ones we love the most, but I think those who hate us hurt us more.

I’m lost in the sea of unspoken lies, and I don’t know if I’ll ever make my way back.

This is the conclusion to the Carlysle Kings Duet, and it’ll keep you guessing.

This story opens in the aftermath of book one. Everyone left standing has been left irrevocably broken. Each has had to remake themselves from jagged pieces to keep moving and survive. Functioning apart, Ignacio, Liliana, Elijah, Theo, and Jared must find a way to come back together when festering lies come to the surface. Hard but beautiful truths unfold; and as they try to move forward into a future together, they must learn to forgive each other and themselves.

Untold Truths was a dark, gritty, and raw look into how far the desperate will go for survival. Book Two, Untold Lies, has a much different feel. This story, while gripping, is lush with tender beginnings and powerful redemptions. It was no less evocative or visceral than the previous book, it merely held the softness needed for mending broken hearts and fractured spirits.

I cannot recommend Jenn, this duology, or this book enough. It has impactful and well-versed discussions on mental health. It does so in a raw and honest way that resonates so deeply with those who have first hand knowledge of mental health struggles.

Untold Lies releases on July 17th and I implore you bear witness to how the Carlysle Kings’ story ends. You are in for an emotional al ride.

As always, please check content warnings.

This book is the second part of a duet, make sure to read the first one before starting this one!

I’ll try to keep this description and review vague as to not spoil anything.

This book is about consequences, of finding out and trying to undo what your actions, directly and indirectly caused. About how one choice can change everything and rock the entire foundation at its core. This book is about trying to move forward, about how losing someone can destroy you. It’s also about hope, for something better.

This is your trigger warning, if you’re reading this you’re hopefully already familiar with Jenn’s previous works and know that they’re usually a rollercoaster with heavy triggers, this is no different. Read the triggers and take care of yourself!

This book was incredible, where the first book had low spice, this one made up for it, the ‘why choose’ we were teased about finally comes into fruition and it is marvellous! The wait was more than worth it and trusting the author in her quest to bring her characters to life and making their story justice, 100% payed off, just like I knew it would. And once again I could not predict a thing, throw your expectations out the door because they do not belong here! Having read both parts I know that this is one of those duets that I will return to and reread whenever I don’t know what to do with myself. This is truly a piece of art, it’s masterfully executed! Also, everyone needs a Liliana in their life, she’s amazing!

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes bully romances, to anyone who ain’t scared of a bit of darkness, to anyone who loves characters who would go through hell just to see their partner smile.

Keep in mind that this is still a dark romance, the cliffhanger we ended with in the last book has major consequences in this one, prepare to have your heart broken and glued together again by the end of it. And with that I will leave you with a few of my favourite quotes.

“I feel so lost right now. Hope or despair, two sides of a coin, and equally cruel taskmasters. For now, I’m straddling the line, but one day I’ll fall. It’s just a matter of time.”

“Your fears are valid because your experiences created them.”

“God, she has the best laugh. I’m obsessed, a simp for my wife, and I don’t fucking care.”

Book two leaves off from where one ends. I struggle to not give anything away so I hope I’ve teased but kept to this goal!

The first one had full on dark bülly themes, but two has a different feel to it. There are still very hard elements to get through, based around mental health and especially a forced commitment into a rotten establishment. This was hard to read but I did love how it brought old flames together having a shared goal in sight.

This book has a lot of redemption and finding a way of making relationships work within the new versions of yourselves.
The pace is, as with all Jenn’s books, perfect and absolutely keeps you fully engaged. There are a lot more spicy times to down right burning hot 🔥 scenes, both FF & MMM and all the acronyms in between.

The only little grumble I have is I wanted the Kings Society burnt to the ground and every high ranking member unalived!! I think they got away way too easily, but Hayhoo, I‘m vengeful that way!!

The ending, oh wow, was just perfect!! I didn’t think I could ever find even a soft spot for Jared, Theo, and especially Elijah. However I absolutely and irrevocably fell head over heels in love with them all!!

The whole new family dynamics, works perfectly and I loved it all!!! Ahh swoon!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ignacio is heart broken and serving his penance locked away to distraught and racked with guilt to even face Lilliana.
Poor Lilianna is left on her own, lost in despair having lost her two loves. Her only recourse is to get lost in following her father’s footsteps and be a hitwoman and enforcer for Emil.

Jared, Theo and Elijah move to California, trying hard to pull themselves back together under their own steam and away from the Kings Society completely.
Only past deeds are hard to forget and your sins have a way of playing with your mind and sight!

Lillianna is forced to move to California for Emil on the hunt for a drug dealer selling a date räpē drūġ, which he will not let stand!!

When old faces make an appearance and a new betrayal hurts someone yet again, friendships, love and old wounds are put to the ultimate test all whilst fighting threats from a new gang!

This was a Rollercoaster of a book. The guys came to their senses and tried to fix their mistakes. I honestly enjoyed how even though they were sorry and did things to show Rachelle how much she means to them they never lost their bad side. They were still a little rough here and there and did things that made me wanna smack them but they had good intentions.

Rachelle has been through a lot 😭😭. After the last book it kind of felt like she couldn't catch a break. She had a village behind her. She had people that would burn down the world for her.

With Ignacio and liliana it was easy for Rachelle to fall back into a relationship with them like nothing happened. Those two are crazy about her as they are with each other. It was a little bit harder for the other 3 to get on her good side. Even when she didnt really want to deal with them they never stopped looking out for her and making sure she was safe. Little by little they gained her trust again and were able to built a relationship with her. No one can deny that all five of them are head over heels for her.

All the guys were equally as dangerous and deadly. They never hesitated to take someone out or hurt someone when it came it Rachelle. I ABSOLUTELY love how they were all scared of Liliana. She's even deadlier and scarier than the guys. As a little psycho as they were they were perfect for Rachelle. As innocent as she is compared to them she still has blood on her hands 🫣. I can't be mad at her for forgiving them after what they did cause she does love them and she saw them making an actual effort in trying to win her back and actually changing for the better.

Loveeeee her step-dad. Not only him but lilianas dad too. As scary as these dudes are they are so soft when it comes to their kids/family. They would literally move heaven and earth for them without hesitation.

Was looking forward to this one after the mess that was book 1 and it didn't disappoint. My girl got her happy ending with her men and woman.

Jenn Bullard is the Queen of bully romances and this 2nd story in the Carlysle Kings duet proves no exception to that statement!

I am so glad that we picked up right where book 1 left off because after that cliffhanger, I'm not sure my fragile little heart would be able to survive any sort of time jump in this story. What I really loved about this story is that all of the questions, thoughts, emotions, etc. that I had after reading book 1 were slowly but surely answered during this part of the duet. This is a heavy story (just like all of Jenn's works) with numerous triggers, so as I always say, check your trigger warnings before reading, but if you are someone who doesn't have a problem with much, I would highly recommend this book. I will say, Jenn has a unique way of developing the depth and complexity of all of her characters. I absolutely DESPISED the MC's in the first part of this duet and while it was certainly a struggle to get to this point, I found myself wishing that they would win forgiveness as the story went on. The work they had to put in to get a second chance- insane, but I loved and admired how committed they were to doing that work. Rachelle certainly proved time and time again in this story what a bada** boss she was and I loved seeing just how strong she really became after everything she had endured. I also really enjoyed that we really got the full extent of their relationship as a group and some spicy moments that we were certainly building up to since the first part of this duet. Really helped drive this story home and give it that final touch to make it an amazing book.

Here’s the thing, I am getting sick and tired of being v!ctimized by this evillllll little pixie girl. 😂

Jenn, you know I love your books. I love the trauma, I love the hurt, I love the pain…. Okay, I am a sick girl and clearly a glutton for punishment. 😅 But there was a moment where I thought I was going to have to quit you bc giiiiirl this book had me feeling alllllll the feels.

At one point I messaged Jenn and said “I may quit my job to finish reading. And ill need hazard pay for emotional damage” and you know how that evil little pixie responded?

“😆😆😆

I was mean, huh lol.”

Yes MAAM YOU WERE. 😱😩😭

And believe me besties, she is mean. 🥹
She will make you scream. 😡
She will have you feeling so overwhelmed with emotions that it will make you want to toss your reader in a blaze but you wont. And luckily this evil little pixie is not that evil. She wont leave you hanging because while she enjoys hurting us (and i know she does lol) she will always make it better. 😍

All of this to say that I LOVED the conclusion to this duet.

Also - can we talk about Mr. Emil being the REAL feckin MVP? if there was ever a parent you want in your corner, it would be this man.

Just like with all of Jenn Bullard's books, this book (the whole duet really) is a trigger warning in itself. Make sure you check the trigger warnings!!! Jenn writes DARK and this one may be one of the darkest.

I had a difficult time with this one, and it had NOTHING to do with the writing. The FMC goes through some seriously traumatic and awful experiences (you'll know what I'm talking about when you read it) and it was really difficult for me to read. Personally, I only forgive one of the guys. In my opinion, what they did to her in the first book was unforgiveable. It wasn't even what they did that I had an issue with (though I didn't love it), it's HOW they did it that made it so I couldn't forgive them.

Even with all of that, I still loved the duet. Jenn is such a fantastic storyteller. She's so good that most (if not all) of her books have FF and/or MM and though I'm not into either of those, I still read every single one of her books. I refuse to miss out on such good writing and stories just because FF and MM aren't my cup of tea.

I said it once and I'll say it again.. CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS. Though in my opinion, the more triggers the better! :)

Loved!

Jenn has a way of engrossing me into a book every time. There is something about Jenn’s style of writing I can never get enough of. This book was another delicious read! I could not put it down. It had me crying and shouting and I couldn’t wait for their HEA. Jenn writes dark stuff and I absolutely love Jenn’s books. This one was a fantastic read!

I loved the first book so much and this one just added to me loving the duet completely. The FMC goes through so much and has some awful experiences. I honestly wanted to put this character in a bubble. The men… where to start… I don’t even know. I felt like they were doing their best to try to get the FMC to forgive them, but at times I didn’t want her to. But when they finally did it made me excited to keep reading more and more.

Overall, this duet was so good. I loved every minute of it and couldn’t get enough. These books do have trigger content so please make sure to read that. But I highly recommend if you love dark romance! Then this beauty is for you!

Unspoken Lies is the second book in The Carlysle Kings Duet written by Jenn Bullard.

💜 mystery
💜 learning to heal
💜 found family
💜 mental health
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice

Liliana is trying to find her way after everything happened with Rachelle two years prior. So much has changed and she’s finally done and graduated from Carlysle Prep School. She can go to college and she may. But, right now she wants to take things out on the people her father and Me Emil deem necessary. Will she be able to stay away from the three guys who turned everyone’s world upside down? Will she go to college and get a degree? Would she stay and help her father and Mr Emil with running things and finding out information from those they deem need to spill?

This was a rollercoaster of a book and duet. The world building was on point as per usual. I love some of the Easter eggs that were plopped within the story that lead to some of the other books in Jenn Bullard’s repertoire. There are a lot of moving parts and pieces that go into this book and are brought together by the end. I did enjoy this story so much.

Dear Higher Power AND possibly a licensed therapist,

We gather again in this unholy union of caffeine, tears, and broken dreams to beg for guidance as we plunge once more into the gummy fueled chaos of emotional damage disguised as “character development."

Grant me the strength to endure a Tiny Pixie and the serenity to accept the sour gummy-fueled trauma about to be unleashed upon my very soul. Stay our hands from launching our devices against a wall and our families without questions during THOSE scenes.

May our devices stay intact, our rage posting remain spoiler free, and may we remember that therapy is a valid and necessary expense, especially after whatever Jennifer Talulah Bullard is about to unleash upon us.

May the writing penis give our chaotic word gremlin comfort in the face of the PTSD TRAUMA RAGING I can feel about to happen.

In the name of Trolli, Albanese, and Hans Riegel we pray,
Namaste, Shanti, Blessed Be, OI VAY

“Love, forgiveness and redemption”

OMG what a book!!! This was the conclusion of the Carlysle Kings duet, and it was everything I could have asked for.
Again Jenn writes a beautifully emotional rollercoaster of a story. I may have wanted to throw my kindle and pull out my hair….. and stayed away from scissors. It’s really hard to explain all the wonderful (and tragic) things in this book without spoiling it.
There was angst, compassion, mental anguish, mental trauma, revenge, forgiveness and so much love.
Every character is dealing with what happened at the end of book one in a different way and none of them are the same people they were. They all grow so much from who they were in high school, it was truly a beautiful thing to read.

I won’t say much more other than I 100% recommend this duet!!!
Oh and I am completely in love with Emil ❤️

Unspoken Lies is book two of The Carlysle Kings Duet.

Now after ending the first book how it did, I wasn't exactly sure how we were going to go with this one. There were more characters that I disliked than liked. But by the end there were more characters that improved themselves as time went on. I didn't like Elijah from the first book, but in this one you get to see more of a softer side with him and I appreciated getting to see a new side with him. Still hate Theo though! He does get better but still hate him.

We really get to see the group work through their emotions from the fallout of book one. Some of them may never recover from what they had to do to get where they now are. This was definitely a emotionally driven second half to the story that you will need to get ready for.

THIS BOOK!! I UNDERSTAND THE BOOK THROWING!!

OK, first I held off reading Unspoken Thruths because of the cliffhanger, and then I read the reviews for this book, and I 100% agree with the screaming, frustration, and eventually the aaawwwss First, let me say. I read a review commenting on the characters' ages. It bothered me for about 18 pages. I was hooked. It's a story about legacies, poor parenting, great parenting, growth, and survival. Or it's a story of really messed up people doing messed up things :) Both have appeal. I'm familiar with Jenn Bullard's work, so no surprises there. I mean, I can't say enough. The duet is awesome. It's captivating, eye-opening, and totally frustrating because you can't read it fast enough. Highly recommend. Read the triggers and hang on for a wild ride.

Unspoken Lies by Jenn Bullard
✨ARC Book Review✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This was the perfect conclusion to the Carlysle Kings Duet. After the chaos, betrayal, and mind games of Unspoken Truths, I couldn’t wait to see how everything would unfold—and Jenn Bullard did not disappoint. Every question I had going in was answered, but in the most intense, gut-wrenching way.

The twists in this book had me second-guessing everything, and the emotional weight of the characters’ decisions really hit. I loved seeing the layers of each character peeled back, especially with all the unspoken lies finally surfacing. It’s dark, messy, and raw—but that’s what makes it so addicting.

I’m sad to leave this world behind, but I’m really hoping we’ll see these characters again someday. If you like dark, twisted, emotionally heavy romances with high stakes and flawed characters, you need this duet in your life.

This is the second and final book in The Carlysle Kings Duet. Jenn Bullard is an awesome author and I am always thrilled when I see her new book releases. She is one of my favorite authors and I love her books!
Is it petty of me when the MMCs realized they royally f#cked up and need to grovel for their bad behavior and decisions?! Of course, I am petty AF!! I think that their groveling makes the story even better! I mean how unlucky can one girl be? After everything she had been through, she is still not out of the woods!! This story was so satisfying and I do not want to put this book down. Do I really need to work and sleep…
Thank you, Jenn Bullard, for another beautifully written story! It was dark, traumatizing and spicy. I always know I am gonna love the story when I see your name on the book!

Wow. I loved this series. This was a continuation of the first book. Rachelle went through a lot in the first book and it continued in this one. Ignacio was charged with something he didn’t do. He was in jail for a few years. He was able to get revenge on Colton for what he did to Rachelle when she was 15. Ignacio got out and his father immediately took him to see Liliana. Everything snowballed from there. He reconnected with his friends eventually. Elijah, Theo and Jared moved to California and started their own businesses to get away from the Kings society. Their businesses were thriving. They opened a shop and hired Brea as the manager for that. She hired a girl named Rachel who did tarot readings on the side and presented it to her to do them for the shop and she agreed. There were so many events in this book and I loved it all.

After the ending in book 1 and the beginning of book 2, I thought Jenn had broken me for real! I was devastated!! But being the QUEEN that she is, Jenn pulled through and put me back together again!

This was such an emotional book. So much trauma and suffering! Rachelle was such a tortured character. She went through EVERYTHING! Lilliana and Nacio had so much to work through to find each other again. Theo, Jared and Elijah had the momentous task of trying to get a second chance and each of them stepped up to get it done!

I DEFINITELY recommend this duet! It was fabulous! Great spice, spectacular storyline, a rollercoaster of emotions and a fantastic HEA. I adored this book and this duet tremendously!

This is book 2 of the duet and must be read after book one. It picks up immediately where book one left us. Please be sure to mind your triggers. I enjoyed this duet for the most part. My only issue really isn't anything to do with the story or character or anything like that. It is just that the story does contain both mm and ff relationships. I did read the book but I did slim/gloss over the ff parts as it is not something I particularly enjoy. Because of this I feel like I missed out on how phenomenal the book was for others. Like I said absolutely nothing wrong with the book or story or anything like that. It was all on me. And yes I knew going into it there was ff. But I still wanted to read it. I still enjoyed it greatly. Which is why I still gave it the five star rating.

I seriously do not know how Jenn does it, her books always leave me feeling every single dang emotion. They always tackle the hardest topics and I love that her worlds are all connected no matter if it’s contemporary or omgeverse.

This book totally blew my dang mind multiple times and I was not prepared to be sobbing because it was over, so if this review doesn’t make sense I’m writing through my tears. I am not ready to say good bye to this group but I loved their journey so much. Thank you Jenn for never letting us forget that we are more than our trauma, and brokenness. And that we always deserve love and safety.

Only Jenn Bullard can make you rethink and question everything. Because only Jenn can make characters who are seemingly unredeemable and quietly make them redeemable. It sneaks up on you like a ninja. Characters like Elijah and Theo and Jared. Who we absolutely hated in book 1, they're truly bad. On paper.

Then the stunning realization barreled into Elijah. Literally. And everything sunk in. The truth, the consequence, the guilt. The glaring reality of their actions.

And they truly hate themselves. And you feel bad. You are starting to catch feelings. For me it was Elijah first, with his silent but deadly way that he would ruin everything. Then it's Jared with his brashness. And Theo with the world at his fingertips, the stroke of a mouse or click of some keys on his keyboard.

This book is the conclusion to the Carlysle King duet. I really really want you to read this book. And meet the FMC who brought the Kings to their knees.

Book 2 of the Carlysle Kings Duet.
Check triggers before reading.

This book opens up in the aftermath of book one and secrets are coming to the surface.

Elijah, Jared and Theo are at college and starting a new business together whilst Nacio is in prison for Rachelle’s murder.
Liliana is also starting at college and letting out her anger by helping her dad and Nacio’s dad dealing with bad people with finding drugs.

Elijah, Jared and Theo have a lot of grovelling and this is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Undoing your actions and discovering changes.

Jenn’s writing is amazing in every book that she writes.

Fair warning, I gave this book 5 stars before I even opened it.
Check the trigger warnings before you start.
“So be br0ken! Who the f□ck cares, we all are in some way." This is the second book in a duet, so read that one first. It ends on a brutal cliffhanger, so prepare for the healing in this one.
I loved this book. It is a HEA polyamorous story and that intrigues me in the very best ways. I love that these characters find their loves and fight for it together. Of course, there are plenty of stumbles along the way. And Rachelle makes them earn her love. Lilian is a total bad@$$! Ignacio, Jared, Theo, and Elijah redeem themselves very well.

So I am no stranger to Jenn’s books at all, I fall in love with every piece of her books every time. Now with that said diving right on in to it. With all of Jenn Bullard's books, this book (the whole duet really) is a giant trigger warning in itself. Make sure to please check the trigger warnings!!! Jenn writes DARK and this one may be one of the darkest! Me personally I have no triggers and this one was right up my alley. I literally couldn’t put it down, I had it devoured in no time flat. I had to read the last chapter of Unspoken Truths again before I started this second book. As I read, I kept wondering where is Jenn going to take us. So much heartache, secrets, danger, distrust, slowly moving towards putting the pieces back together. So many protective people that needed to heal and learn to trust. I laughed, smiled, got angry, really angry and then back to tears and laughter. An emotional rollercoaster which is one of Jenn's specialties. Amazing characters and locations to be immersed in drive this story. You won't want to put it down.

Oh my goodness what an amazing duet. After reading the first book I was dying to read the conclusion. Let me tell you it was absolutely amazing. I was hooked beginning to end. Definitely a page turner. Couldn’t get enough. Lots of twist and turns. Dark romance. Betrayal. Unhinged characters. Trauma. PTSD. Everything I absolutely love and need in a book.

I’ve been reading Jenn Bullard’s books for years. Every time a new book comes out from her I get so excited to read it. Each book just keeps getting better and better. Kudos to an another amazing book!!!

Hold onto your hats people as this book dives right back in after that cliffhanger!

Now there will be no spoilers but this book really is a reconnection, healing and seeing if the pieces of each of these characters that are so broken can come back together and see if they can forgive never forget but hopefully move past their pasts and the events of the last book.

Is there a HEA well that is for you to read and hopefully be happy with!! I loved these characters and hope that we see them again in some other of Jenn's world she creates!

Very slow start

This 2nd book of the Carlysle Kings series has such a slow start that I almost gave up on it. If it wasn't for the fact that I was so invested in seeing how things ended, I would have walked away from the book. I stuck it out and it does eventually pick up and it continues to be a rather weird story. I'm a big fan of the whole bully to lover trope but this story takes it to another level. It's weird because there's not a proper foundation laid for it in book one. But the spicy scenes were definitely spicy and the HEA was decent as well.

I have no words

I have laughed with, cried with, screamed at, been terrified with, traumatized and all manner of things. This has been one of the worst and best series of my life. I love Lili, she was all in from the start. I hurt for Rachelle for all she went through. Felt awesome Nacio figured himself out. Was angry with the other guys for so long, then bad for Elijah, he is so sensitive. I love that they owned there faults and worked there behinds off to fix or help strengthen what they broke.
