I used to create "dreams" with my best friend growing up. We'd each pick a boy we liked, then we'd write down a meet-cute that always ended with a happily ever after.

Now I get to dream every day, although it's a little steamier these days. And I've discovered I can and will write anywhere I can. Keep tuned to Instagram to see all the times I fit in a sentence or two.

I'm a writer, married to a writer, mother of a creative dynamo of a nine-year-old boy and currently a little sleepy. I'm a klutz and goofball and love lipstick as much as my Chuck Taylors.

Good things in the world: pepperoni pizza, Flair pens*, wine, coffee, laughing with my friends until my stomach hurts, a musician at the top of their game, getting lost somewhere I've never been, matinee movies on a weekday, the Chicago Cubs, a fresh new notebook full of possibilities, bourbon on a cold night, Fantasy Football, witty men, walking through the local zoo in the rain and that moment when a character clicks in and begins to write their own adventure. I'm just the pen.

This book was so much fun. I received an ARC Keep Boston not totally sure what to expect, and ended up completely hooked. It’s the kind of romance that sneaks up on you—with all the fake dating chaos, hilarious misunderstandings, and sweet little moments that make your heart do that fluttery thing.

Also, the writing is genuinely funny. Like, I laughed out loud at 2am funny. But it’s not just jokes, there’s depth here too, especially when it comes to the messy emotions, the unexpected baby news, and all the ways people try (and fail) to protect their own hearts.

"And then Law breaks through the crowd, pushing people away who want to congratulate him. He runs to the wall, vaulting over it. And suddenly, he's there, in front of me. Dusty, grinning, glowing like I imagine him as a little boy when he discovered what his arm could do. He takes off his hat, puts it on my head, kissing the hell out of me. Then scoops up his Ma, whirls her around like she's made of air. I adjust the cap on my head, a little dazed, a little drunk on joy. Yeah. I'll wear it to every game from now on. If he'll have me."

i. book review
Nothing's gonna hurt you baby — Cigarettes after sex

I'm gonna need to read the rest of the series NOWWW. This was so good and written so well, I'm very shocked.

I was a little nervous to start this, especially with the accidental pregnancy trope, but this story was so captivating omg. The emotions i experienced while reading this were through the ROOF. Law and Tilly went through so many struggles and they grew and changed alongside those struggles SOOO well. The found family as so AHHHH, i could cry, everyone was so sweet and caring (besides Laws mom at some parts....) Everyones relationships were so beautiful and each moment felt so real and raw. These characters definitely changed sooo much through this book, with each other, and with themselves.

Such a quick read that was very much Tilly avoiding Law, and him doing EVERYTHING (i mean everything..) to win her over, this could've been a 5 star read but I don't get why she kept pushing him away especially when he did everything right and wanted her more than anything butttt it was still such a fun and banter filled read

It’s safe to say that i will be keeping this book!!! Forever!!!
When I tell you, I was not expecting this book to be the book it is, and what I mean by that is that I haven’t read an accidental pregnancy trope and a trope like that changes A LOT for a relationship, whether it’s a trope within the romance genre, fantasy genre, or even in real life, it is a life changing experience and can really alter a romantic relationship. And this book honestly executed that!! Kelly Kay, you really know how to make characters truly love one another despite drastic differences, in a way where it doesn’t feel so forced. That is what worried me at first, but by the end of the book, I was cheering and rooting for a happily ever after!!!

This book also has the black cat x golden retriever with Tilly being the black cat and Law being the golden retriever and when I tell you, these characters where written exactly to what the trope is described as and it was super intriguing and done so well!!

I love how when Tilly was being quite the obnoxious character, Law would still reassure his love for her but also learned to put up his own boundaries as well, because no matters how much we love people, we shouldn’t have to put up with their attitudes and this was well portrayed throughout the entire book!!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, I love the characters, I honestly enjoyed the accidental pregnancy trope more than I thought I would and I am excited to read more of Kelly Kay’s books!!

If you love any of these tropes below, I believe this book should be on your TBR haha!
-accidental pregnancy
-black cat x golden retriever
- fake dating tropes
-close-knit family

Do I recommend? Yes!!

A true sucker for second chance love stories that I am, Keeping Boston checked off each box for this. I loved the spontaneous meeting of Law and Tilly. The instant connection between the two as soon as their eyes met made me feel like I needed to jump in a cold shower! Keep Boston was an entertaining read along with being charming and witty. Law was such an entertaining character to balance off the stiff as a board British Tilly who finally let Law’s wit break those hard glass walls she’s built up. 10/10 loved this book so much

Title: Keep Boston: Boston Brothers (Book 5)
Author: Kelly Kay
Genre: Sports Romance
Pages: 462

Rating: 4.5⭐️/5 (rounded up!)

“This woman is my dick’s soulmate.”

Baseball heartthrob Law Danson is at the top of his game—two World Series rings, a roster of casual hookups, and charm that won’t quit—but he’s still stuck thinking about the British mystery woman he spent two wild nights with in Montana. Tilly Marks never expected that retreat to flip her whole life: after catching her husband in bed with someone else, she ditched her old life, switched careers, moved across the world, and still barely recognizes herself—but for once, it feels good. She thought her Montana fling was just that… until a surprise pregnancy and a job with the Boston Breakers land her right back in Law’s path. Rugged, loud, and basically a cowboy in cleats, Law barrels into her new life with nicknames, grins, and zero boundaries. What starts as fake dating to calm the media storm turns into something more, as his relentless golden-retriever charm meets her icy resolve—and slowly, Tilly starts to thaw.

KEEP BOSTON is the kind of romance that hits you right in the feels while making you laugh out loud. This story has everything: fake dating chaos, swoony baseball charm, sharp banter, emotional baggage, and one determined man who falls first and hard. Law is golden-retriever energy in cleats, and Tilly is all walls and wit after a brutal divorce—but together? Fireworks. The surprise pregnancy, the reverse age gap, the office tension—it’s all handled with so much heart and humor. I went in expecting a fun sports romance and got something way deeper, funnier, and more emotionally satisfying. If you love a sunshine-soft hero who never gives up and a grumpy heroine who doesn’t know what hit her, this one’s a home run!

A big thanks to Love Notes PR and Kelly Kay for providing me with a digital ARC of this book!

I was lucky enough to receive as an ARC 🥰

If you're looking for a steamy, heartwarming, and laugh-out-loud romance with the perfect blend of chaos and charm, Keep Boston by Kelly Kay hits it out of the park.

Law Danson is living every athlete's dream—two World Series championships, a stacked highlight reel, and a professional baseball career that keeps the spotlight firmly on him. His personal life? A string of casual hookups, none of which have stuck—except for her. The British mystery woman from Montana who left him dazzled after two unforgettable nights… and then disappeared.

Tilly Marks is everything Law didn’t see coming: grumpy, brilliant, and accidentally pregnant from a no-strings weekend she never planned to repeat. Determined to raise her baby on her own, Tilly is caught completely off guard when Law walks into her new office—loud, charismatic, and shouting the nickname he gave her (“Catnip!”). Avoiding him was impossible before. Now? It’s a lost cause.

When circumstances force them into a fake relationship to keep the gossip mill at bay, the tension between them turns electric. Tilly’s fiercely independent nature clashes perfectly with Law’s sunny persistence, and what starts as a pretend arrangement quickly unravels into something much more real.

Keep Boston is packed with witty banter, swoony moments, and emotional depth. Law is a refreshing sports romance hero—confident but kind, playful but deeply grounded when it counts. Tilly, with her guarded heart and biting sarcasm, is the perfect match to challenge and complete him. Their journey is messy, sweet, and full of sparks.

I had such a blast with this story - Catnip and Lucky have completely stolen my heart. This fast-paced relatable story takes the second chance trope to new heights: a "few" night stands quickly become a full-blown fake dating scene, contract and all. From their dreamy vacation in Montana to the terrifying reality of daily life in Boston, we follow Tilly and Law through the ups and downs of their fake relationship.

Their instant connection was so much fun to read about and I was kicking my feet when they rekindled in their WORPLACE in Boston. Something that was special to this storyline that I liked was how their personas changed from vacation mode to work/daily life mode. It felt much more realistic that they were different people from their laidback vacation fling and I loved watching them try to navigate their new relationship.

Accidental pregnancy has never been a favorite trope of mine. In many cases, I find it to be rushed and unrealistic. Kelly Kay took that preconceived notion and HURLED it out the window. It was evident how well educated she is on the topic or how much research she put into the matter. She added both emotion and humor to a real-life scenario that is relatable to many readers. I truly admired the way this was handled and enjoyed Tilly's pregnancy journey.

Thank you sooo very much to Kelly Kay and Love Notes PR for this arc opportunity in exchange for my honest review! I got into this book just before a surgery I had and was so thankful I had it to come back to during my recovery. This one will most certainly hold a special place in my heart <3

Swoon and banter for days! Kelly Kay knocked this one out of the park. Pun intended 😊 Law and Tilly’s story is by far my new favorite of the Boston Brothers’ series. I couldn’t get enough of them, and I am OBSESSED! Tilly and Law were magical, and their romance was filled with humor and swoon, and the push and pull had me kicking my feet in anticipation.

Law and Tilly had so much chemistry, and their reverse grumpy/sunshine dynamic was everything I could’ve hoped for. Tilly with her prickly demeanor, which made for some tense but funny moments. She pulled at my heartstrings for all her years of feeling like less and hiding her true self. I loved seeing Tilly get bowled over by Law in the best way and watching her come out of her uptight British shell.

Law!! GAAAHHH, I LOVE him so much. This man was a cinnamon roll and oozed so much charm he could probably charm the panties off a nun LOL. I loved how he pushed Tilly just right and how from day one he was all in with the surprise baby. Tilly did not make it easy on him, but Law really stepped up to the plate.

The found family dynamic was perfection. It was great seeing all the couples again, and I got a kick out of their text chains. Their banter and betting antics added another layer of humor and showed their strong found family bond.

Keep Boston was a heartwarming romance with a perfect blend of tension, humor, and spice. I loved seeing Tilly and Law’s mountain fling turn into something more and seeing the found family grow. I am sad to see the end of this series, but what a great journey it has been. Kelly Kay did the ending just right.

This is a fabulous conclusion to the series with all the elements and trademarks that made the earlier books so much fun, namely strong emotions, mild chaos, ride-or-die friendships, epic banter, plenty of spice, and buckets of personal development. Law has kind of been an adjunct to the main group, the little brother who plays hard and hasn’t really had to grow up - and an encounter on a ranch leaves him with more than he bargains for. Still though, he’s ready. He’s enthusiastic and joyful and all in. Tilly, on the other hand - older, spiky, emotionally bruised - needs a lot of convincing. I found her to be particularly well written, because on the one hand so many of her feelings and fears are incredibly relatable, and on the other, some of her actions are so frustrating. I loved the way they grow together and learn about themselves as they learn about each other, and the story rattles along to a heartwarming conclusion that made me giggle, sniffle a little, and root for this unconventional, messy and meant-to-be couple.

Law & Tilly ❤️

⚾️Lawson’s the youngest of three brothers, visiting with them and their best friends in Montana. He’s taking a break before moving to play professional baseball with his Boston home team. When he spots fellow visitor Tilly, he’s drawn to her and asks her to stay two extra nights to spend time with him.

⚾️After two magical days, they both leave without sharing their real names or identities. Which doesn’t help when she discovers the after effects are more than either of them expected.

✏️Author Kelly Kay delivers another riveting instalment in this found family series. I hardly put it down until the final page was read! Adored the way Law fell so hard and fast for the somewhat prickly, older and battle-scared Tilly. While the universe was conspiring to get Law and Tilly together, she was struggling to catch up (can’t say I blame her) 🤣 I have loved reading this series, but this book could easily be read as a standalone.

After reading all the Boston Brothers books, I can't say for sure who is my favorite, but Law is definitely a contender for that #1 spot.

Law is everything you expect and so much more. Funny and lively, the heart of the party. But he's also smart, romantic, and cares more than you'd ever expect. He may have been a ladies man, but he definitely met his match in Tilly.

Tilly is beautiful and brilliant, and oh so very British. It often seems like emotions are a foreign concept, though we can all see she has them - especially with her pregnancy hormones. And she sure gives Law a run for his money.

This book is witty with banter that will make you laugh out loud. But perhaps more than that, you cant help but fall for these characters, and when their hearts are breaking, yours is too.

I laughed out loud, then cried under my covers so no one would see... this is such a great book, and I am so sad to see the end of this series.

You know what I love more than a sports romance? A grumpy/sunshine romance where SHE’S the grump and he’s the sunshine.
Stiff upper lip Brit, Tilly, is older, guarded and sarcastic.. and now, up the duff after a super hot weekend with a hot, much younger stranger ….

Law is at the top of his game, literally, it’s baseball. He’s been all about the hook ups, but there’s a feisty Brit he just can’t stop thinking about. And when they meet up again and find they’re working for the same team, then it’s karma.
Chaos ensues, with a fake engagement and learning to be with each other whilst being surrounded by a large boisterous family and the paparazzi. …. And don’t forget…. Pregnant .

This book had all the feels, being laugh out loud aaaaaand emotional. Rollercoaster anyone?

This can be read as a stand alone, though with Law’s large messy family, there are four brothers before him with their own stories, I feel like I would have liked it more if I’d had more of their backstory.

Great book.

This is book five in the Boston Brothers series although it’s my first. I was taken to it from the beginning and it kept me turning pages. I was all in.

I absolutely loved the characters! And the black cat x golden retriever were exactly that. Tillie has an obnoxious air about her, but what she’s been through who could blame her for having her guard up. Law is charming and swoon worthy. A no strings attached hookup, surprise pregnancy and fake dating became so much more.

I enjoyed the author’s storytelling and writing style. She had me laughing out loud throughout with their witty banter. The growth of the two characters throughout the story made their love story more genuine. As Law was melting Tillie’s cold demeanor he was definitely melting me too. Their chemistry was undeniable. I absolutely loved their story. My first read by this author and will most certainly be checking out her other book!

What a way to wrap up a series!!!

This book literally has it ALL! All the emotions, all the vulnerability, all the laughter, all the banter, and all the heat you could ask for. This is more than a reverse age gap story, it’s more than a surprise pregnancy story. This is a story about two people who are meant to be together with one person who is absolutely certain they are going to work, and another who just can’t see it.

Law and Tilly’s story is one you think you will have read before, but let me tell you, you haven’t. Kelly just writes her stories with something I have yet to find in any other book I read. I can’t describe it, but I feel it with every book.

This is the last book in her Boston Brothers series, and it is a standalone, but I promise you that if you start from the beginning with Keep Paris, you are not going to be able to stop. Her storytelling is an addiction that I’m not ashamed to have. Come join me in the fun that is Kelly Kay!

Keep Boston by Kelly Kay was my first book into the Boston Brothers series. This book follows MLB star Law and attorney Tilly. With a chance meeting these two go from strangers to soon to be parents real quick.

Tilly is closed off and rightfully so. She just went through a divorce where her ex belittled her beyond belief. And add on top of that all of the hurtful things her parents had said to her as well, the girl has baggage.

Law is a golden retriever energy personified. He is a happy go lucky guy. And when a surprise pregnancy landed in his life, he didn’t bat an eye. He was ready. He was ready for Tilly and the baby.

This age gap romance had so many relatable moments. As someone who went through infertility I related with Tilly and her lack of joy during the pregnancy. (Thank you Kelly for bringing light to that!) Also, Law may have been head over heels, but he did not take Tilly’s excuses. The man was not afraid to say how he felt (it was refreshing to read that).

Keep Boston will have you laughing and crying. You will swoon over Law and root for Tilly.

Age Difference Does Not Matter
OMG Those first, very funny, chapters in Montana with all the teasing and flirting made me want to participate, they were sooo good! The last of the six ‘brothers’ is getting his HEA in an unexpected way – even when there were bets about it. What a wonderful family. Law is such a gorgeous character, sweet, loving, caring and very, very wise. Tilly has lived an emotional traumatic life and it takes courage and insight (thanks so much for personal mirrors) to become the person she really is. The growth these two people have to go through to make it together, is beautifully narrated with so much humor, wit and compassion as Ms Kay is known for in her books. It’s laughter, tears and a lot of empathetic feelings reading this story. I want more!
Highly recommended <3

I do so enjoy Kelly Kay's books. I find her writing style incredibly unique and her stories filled with quirky characters, witty banter, passion, steam, and intense and complicated emotions. Tilly and Law were fascinating and incredibly likeable characters. I loved how enthusiastic and 'all in' Law was with Tilly, and his almost unending patience and unconditional love. While I could empathise with Tilly's fears and insecurities, I did become increasingly frustrated with the impact this had on her relationship with Law and with his family. What a relief to reach the hard fought and much deserved happy ever after.

I was lucky to receive an early copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE LAW!! 🥵😮‍💨 The charming playboy that pitches for Boston. His mouth is spicy and has the best witty sense of humour!
Law and Tilly meet while on separate vacations. The incredible chemistry they have together is the deciding factor to spend a few days together and that’s it. Cut all ties forever. But of course that’s not it!
Brought back together by a baseball team and an unexpected baby. Law stops at nothing to get under Tilly’s tough exterior.

Tilly has walls up so high I almost thought Law wouldn’t get through her icy heart. She definitely keeps her on him on his toes. But Law is so incredibly sweet to her and just never gives up, I think I’d like to keep him for myself…
I love love LOVE this series and the found family of brothers. The banter is just so freakin good it made me laugh out loud so many times. 😆😍

Keep Law Danson!!! He is all the swoon in this book. A second chance at romance, but really he never really got over the British sass that is Tilly Marks. What started off as a retreat fling continues on to Boston, where Tilly has just relocated her life and where Law has just signed to a new team to see out his career. Loved Catnip and Lucky, they were beautiful in Montana but back in Boston, things got a little tricker and what a rollercoaster they have, of course there is a HEA for our favourite Baseball boy, but what a journey to get there. Accidental pregnancy, reverse age gap and a bit of fake dating along the way made this book hot property, great to see the gang again, they're loud and wild as always!

This was a great book. Definitely could read without reading the others but when you have read the first ones it helps build the story so much more. Law is one of my favorites. His personality is fun and he had me laughing. Tilly was working through years of hurt and emotional damage that her mother and ex-husband had caused. The amount of time Law showed up for her and fought for her was incredible. Everyone wants a Law that will encourage her and build her up physically despite how she feels. I loved watching them work through the issues and the community that Tilly learns to love. Great and easy read.

This was such a cute read! If you like sports romances, and that grumpy/sunshine trope, this is for you!

Law and Tilly are interesting characters! This is my first Kelly Kay book, but will certainly not be my last. I really like her style of writing.
Law is a sweet baby angel, while Tilly is an icy, moody girly pop. Bless her heart, she has every right to be! We LOVE that Law will stop at absolutely nothing to make her laugh and get under her icy exterior. He is such a golden retriever, yes ma'am! 🙌🏻 Their banter is top tier, and Law is a witty, funny dude. Their relationship blossoms into something beautiful, but it takes some time to get there.

If you like:

🥰 Second Chance Romance
🤭 One-night stand
🌦☀️ Grumpy/Sunshine
🤰🏼 Accidental Pregnancy
😜 Witty Banter
😏 Reverse Age Gap
⚾️ Baseball
🥰HEA

Then you might like this read! This is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I read it as a standalone, and really liked it!

I was craving an accidental pregnancy romance so I typed that in the searchbar on BookSirens and found this book.

Law is a professional baseball player who on vacation in Montana has an affair for 2 days with a beautiful older woman. Because they know they'll never see each other again, it's a fake name affair. But surprise! Matilda, Tilly, starts a job as a lawyer for Law's team. And double surprise, she's pregnant with Law's baby!

Tilly has some pregnancy problems & keeps Law at a distance, saying they'll just co-parent. I thought the book was a little too long (462 pages), and I lost track of who was who. (There were too many side characters!)

When I read the first book in this series I knew I would love getting to see Law be swept up! As a Red Sox fan I loved the subtle nods to fenway traditions without making it over the top or forced.

This FMC was such a breath of fresh air, from her description to how guarded she was, was done in a very original way. I appreciated so much how this wasn’t a typical sports romance troupe but still had the authenticity of one!

4.5 stars for me !!

I have to say, it's my favorite book in this series by far! The emotions and found family aspect drew me in. The way the characters grow and change throughout the story is captivating. You can feel their struggles and triumphs so vividly. I just couldn’t put it down!

The relationships between the characters are beautifully crafted, making each moment feel genuine and heartfelt. You see how they evolve, not just as individuals but also in their bonds with each other.

Keep Boston is a homecoming romance done right—full of nostalgia, heartfelt emotion, and swoon-worthy chemistry. Kelly Kay writes characters you fall in love with and a setting that feels vividly alive. I was fortunate to read this one early, and I was completely charmed by the way the story captured small-town charm and big-city heart. It’s a slow-burn romance that lands every emotional beat—exactly the kind of story I love to champion.
