>I received this book from the authors and from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. This anthology contains 10 full length novels of romantic suspense. The romance ranges from erotic to sweet, while the suspense runs the gamut of fearful emotions. The stories are all easy to get lost in. All of the mysteries will keep you guessing and the HEAs abound!
>Review - Revenge
>Kate Andretti is married to a nephew of a mob boss, yet is unaware of this fact. After a separation she meets a mob don, Enrique, yet is still unaware of his mob life. This novel has romance, mob action and suspense. The novel starts off running and other than Kate vacillating with her new love, which is annoying, the story is an exciting ride.
>Review - Cliffs of Starsdale
>A young woman, Chelsea, moves to a small town, buys a "money pit" and decides to renovate it to open a B & B. Meet John and Mac, her father and son contractors. Together they create something beautiful. Sounds too perfect? Enter the ex, Preston. He wants Chelsea back. There are so many secrets in this story and one scary plot. This small town and it's inhabitants suck you in and make this story flow. There is evil around, though and the reader is kept to the last pages until the plot is revealed.
>Review - Deadly Misconceptions
>A private investigator, Lucy, is frantically searching for her best friend who disappeared while investigating a story. Lucy runs into a long time nemesis, Jack, who dealt with Lucy when she was a homeless teen. Jack and Lucy feel a strong attraction and attempt to overcome past feelings of mistrust and guilt in order to work together to find Cassie and figure out what she was investigating. There is a lot of chemistry between Jack and Lucy, along with some tricky plot misdirections.
>Review - Shadow of Perception
>This is the story of an investigative news reporter, Eden, who is being sent Torture and death DVD's from an unknown source. Enter, old flame, Hudson, sent to protect Eden until the killer can be identified and caught. The second chance at love aspect of the story was very romantic, but the brutal torture scenes were too brutal. Too much detail was given and the effect made the reader feel unclean. There was a nice redirect in the plot involving a serial killer and an unknown stalker which added to the feeling of suspense. This novel went a bit too far, though.
>Review - Haunted By Death
>A group of friends go camping and one of them is lost forever. 17 years later, the survivors' lives are far from wonderful. Meg and her boyfriend, Pete, take custody of Meg's niece, who is newly orphaned. When the three take a camping trip in the same area as the tragedy, Meg finds the remains of a young woman. Is this her missing friend? Which one of the old gang is the killer? This novel keeps you guessing up until the very end. The reasoning behind the killer's obsession with Meg is not very clear, but the story was very fast paced.
>Review - Blind with her Bliss
>Julie has always been the good girl, the one her parents and sisters counted on. Julie gave up her dreams to help her families floral business, but never felt satisfied. Her best friend, Jason, commits suicide, but Julie doesn't believe it. She visits a seedy nightclub in order to find what really happened to Jason, following a lead from a tv interview. Meet shock jock, Demon Jones. Their attraction is instant and the romance is hot. Demon, aka Damon, helps Julie with her investigation, which leads them where neither expected to go. The mystery was very weak in this novel, but the romance was excellent.
>Review - Love and Deception -
>Nick is a secret agent investigating a supposed terrorist. Carlie has been running since the death of her husband. She finally settles down, meets and falls in love with Nick. There are so many lies in this story, the reader never knows whom to trust, which makes the best kind of mystery. The chemistry between Carlie and Nick is hot and their relationship is fun to watch.
>The Last Witness -
>Jesse and Zach are partners on the NYPD. They are investigating a murder and missing persons case involving a successful businessman. Their new boss was a previous flame of Jesse's and someone in the dept. Leaked that info causing Jesse to be portrayed in an unflattering light. Add to the mystery, her new love interest with Zach, threatening notes and an investigation where the witnesses are disappearing, and this story really moves. Unfortunately, each chapter is dated and the dates are all out of order, which is very confusing to the reader. The love story is weak and the mystery, while compelling, is not very interesting, especially in light of the huge cliffy at the end.
>Review - Shrouded in Darkness
>Margot just buried her brother, when his friend, Jake shows up asking to stay for awhile. Something is off about Jake, yet Margot can't help her attraction to him. When Margot finally finds out the truth it is a race against time and her evil ex, to save both their lives. This is a paranormal mystery with a fair amount of romance. The bad guys keep multiplying and while there is an HEA, not all the questions are answered.
>Review - Primal Obsession
> Annie is a true city girl, honoring a promise to her murdered best friend and taking a rustic camping trip in upstate Maine. Sam is an ex-baseball player acting as guide to their small camping group. The murderer has followed Annie, though, and she has to protect the group while trying to figure out who he is. All Sam wants is to protect and love Annie. The identity of the killer was too easy to figure out, but the thrill of the hunt was very suspenseful. The book ends in an HEA after all is said and done.
Kristine Mason told me about this anthology and after checking it out, I thought, " I have to have these."
I am reviewing Killer Romances as a bundle, but will rate them separately on Goodreads.
I had read Kristine Mason's 5 Star novel, Shadow of Perception (Book II of the Core Shadow Trilogy) some time ago and loved it. If the rest of the books are anything like hers, this is going to be a huge hit!
I was not disappointed.
Killer Romances has all the elements thrillers need to make us squirm.
The novels are varied.
We have the mob, serial killers and secret agents.
We have romantic suspense and murder mystery galore.
We travel from the city to the wilderness.
I started reading on September 2 and finished in the wee hours of the morning on Septmber 18, 2014.
Killer Romances had me on the edge of my seat for 16 days.
I couldn't stop reading.
I read one right after the other.
My eyes are burning and ready to pop out of my head. 8-)
I was surprised at how many times cancer was mentioned in the beginning novels, not that there's anything wrong with that. A little humor there. If you have ever watched Seinfeld on TV, you will know what I mean.
If you love mystery, romance, sex, suspense, thrillers and science fiction, this fantastic anthology is for you.
There is loss, love, loyalty, betrayal, brutality, sorrow, tragedy, arrogance, ego - no mercy.
I loved, I hated.
I wept, I laughed.
I kicked ass, I killed.
My favorite is Shadow of Perception by Kristine Mason. I was a huge fan of hers before I picked up Killer Romances. Kristine is the one who brought this awesome anthology to my attention. Thank you so much Kristine, for the burning eyes and sleepless nights, thus the shades. 8-)
I was going to list some other favorites, but I kept adding another and another.
I love them all and will be looking for more of their work.
I received this book in return for an honest and unbiased review.
Ten full length Romantic Suspense Novels in one bundle. They all are so good! I especially liked: "Cliffs of Starsdale" by Tallulah Grace: It was well plotted with great suspense. I wanted to beat up Preston! (That is how real the characters were!) "Blinded by Bliss" by Nina Pierce: Very good with hot sizzle between the characters. I was never sure "who dun it". I was surprised by the ending. "Love and Deception" by Chantel Rhondeau: Lots of twists and turns. I really liked the characters. *** I was given this bundle as a gift from the authors in return for my honest review. ***
I picked up this anthology because two authors that I love had books in it. I knew that Dale Mayer and Tallulah Grace would contribute outstanding stories to the collection, and in fact, their books are my favorites. There are some books that were not to my taste but the writing was still excellent and most readers would love them. (One had a greater focus on sex than I would choose to read and the other had the mafia which I normally avoid) The very least I would rate any book in the set is a 4.5 and most were clear 5's.

10 Amazing Author with 10 Amazing and exciting books!!
I read until I couldn't see literally doing a marathon with these amazing books. Each one was as exciting and intriguing as the next. It was thrilling. What was even better was getting them all in one box! I can't thank the authors enough to getting together for this!!!
Wow I think this box set was .99 it was well worth it and more. This set had everything, serial killers, missing witness, revenge killing, crazy stalker boyfriend, a hitman sent to kill an innocent woman,on top of all of that there were some super hot heroes and sizzling sex.
I was enjoying the book but I was unable to get past 3%. Every time I tried to get to the next page I would get before you go rate the book. Very disappointed.
Purchased this collection to read Shadow of Perception (Book #2, Core Shadow Trilogy) by Kristine Mason, since it had lower price than buying the separate book.
