It's A...Daddy?

How had this happened? Darrick K. McKeon was the family's Mr. Fix It, the one who solved all the problems. But now he had a doozy of his own. Twin baby girls had been abandoned with no ID except their daddy's name: D.K. McKeon.

Darrick is D.K., all right, but so are his brothers. One of them has to be the father. After all, he's the good brother - the one who always looks before he leaps. But then he remembers a certain mountaintop and a lovely, lissome pilot who landed him there...nine months ago.

Who do the twins belong to?

This is a fun book that is the beginning of a 3 part mystery. Newborn twin babies are abandoned by the mother in a hospital with the birth certificate stating the father is DK Mckeon, the initials of the hospital administrator who is just returning from a conference. The question is are they his or do they belong to one of his 2 brothers whose initials are also DK Mckeon?

The book starts out entertaining enough but takes a really bad turn when deceit overtakes the relationship. The ending was improbable and the themes of the story were just unacceptable to me. Darrick is a really good guy but I intensely disliked Skye for some of the decisions she willingly made without remorse. In the end, her apologies weren't enough.

The message of this story was seriously flawed and left a very bad impression with me. I found it difficult to finish.

Cute little story, lots of twists & turns but too easily resolved at the very end.
