Ghost Connection is a series centered around Cassandra O’Grady and her unwanted ability to see spirits. In episode one, Cassie and her ghostly best friend, Abel, help a girl save her family from a jealous boyfriend. In the process her own family is destroyed.

To make matters worse, her well-built stable world is turned upside down when secrets are revealed that affect her and Abe. Tragedy will strike again, and a savvy sexy detective notices an uncomfortable pattern with Cassandra O’Grady… people keep dying around her.

In future episodes, Cassie will learn to better manage her ‘gift’, and with help from some unlikely sources her life will eventually become stable again, with small detours to help those souls stuck on earth pass on.

Good introduction to this series about a girl who communicates with ghosts. It brings to mind "Ghost Whisperer", and that's a good thing!

A good, but hardly original, premise but poorly executed. Poor conversational punctuation and some major plot inconsistencies didn't add any to the quality either.
The characters were pretty flat and lifeless, no pun intended. Little suspense or intrigue.

The 'Introduction' where the author basically tells the whole blessed tale in summary should be deleted. It seemed rather pointless reading the remainder of the story when I knew pretty much exactly what was going to happen. The Introduction is a requisite for academic papers, for a novel, definitely not. Yes, I would have skipped it if I'd realised, but I read extremely fast and by the time my brain caught up with my eyes it was already too late.

A different editor may have noticed and addressed the inconsistencies such as the main character knowing the names of the murdered girl's mother and brother when no one, including the two ghosts present, had told her. Or a detective rolling up as a first responder to a 911 call.
Or how inappropriate and unprofessional it would be for a Detective to be flirting with the daughter of a murder victim before the body has even cooled. Or how damned unlikely it would be for that daughter to be thinking about how sexy the detective's grin is or how hot he is when he smiles. It's a pretty pathetic representation of two of the characters, but fairly representative for my disliking the book in toto.

Can't recommend this, didn't enjoy it, won't be reading more from this author for the foreseeable future.

"Ghost Connection:Lost" by Jami Brumfield is the first book in a promising series about a college student that can see and hear ghosts. After a car accident that took the life of her father and almost herself, she has been able to see them. With the help of a ghost teen she goes through life trying to help other ghosts with crossing to the other side. But everything she thought she knew is starting to change and life is forcing her into knew involvements with spirits, both good and evil.

I love this series just as much as her other series Paranormal Bureau of Investigations. I love them because they feel like I'm watching my favorite TV series and I can visualize the action as I read it. Lots of action to keep you interested.

This first story in the Ghost Connection series introduces ghost whisperer and psychologist Cassie O'Grady and her corporeally challenged best friend Abe. When Abe brings Cassie a newly dead ghost who turns out to be her next door neighbour, Cassie has no idea the secrets that will be revealed or the life changing events that are coming.
Lost lays the groundwork for a whole series of mystery cases in which Cassie and her group of assistants, both living and dead go on to solve mysteries while helping their ghostly associates to finish their unfinished business and cross over to their final reward.
A solid foundation for a great series..

This was a short quick read that lays the foundation for future stories. This story is filled with secrets, murder, and a friendship that exceeds time and even death. Our main character has the ability to see ghost and they usually want her help. Her best friend is a teenage male ghost who keeps the bad spirits away. This unique story grabs your attention and keeps you reading. But watch out, it leaves you hanging and wanting more. :)

Cassandra has the ability to see dead people. It makes her a little crazy, but she is used to it. In the process of helping one person, all hell breaks loose and now several mishaps has involved a sexy cop. Not sure what is going on, and not believing in coincidence, he is determined to discover the link. I love the characters and was drawn in immediately. This book is a cliffhanger and I was given a copy in a contest.

I love Cassie and getting to know her, her gift, and learning about her spirit guides! Jami knows how to write a gripping story that makes you want to turn the pages then pick up the next in the series! She keeps the reader interested, intrigued, and involved. I can not wait to see what's next in Cassie's life!

I listened to an audio version of this book. I thought it was great! The story was interesting and I got into it right away.
The reader was not excruciatingly slow. She read like a normal person would read the book with some emotion at a normal pace which I LOVED! Thank you!!
The only downfall is that this book is extremely short and ends right in the middle of the story. I was a bit upset.

Way too short

I guess these are serial short stories because this just barely gets underway when it's over. I don't mind serial novelettes and the like, but this is way too brief to be meaningful. It's a pity since the writing is fairly good and the premise interesting, though not unique in any way. If the next in the series isn't longer, then I won't bother with them.

ust like the rest of Jami's books. this one is a winner. I actually read this one a long time ago but I do remember Cassie and Abe, and they connect well. This book one actually helps you to understand where Cassie came from before she crossed over. Total tear jerker.

Captivating book that will sweep you away within moments. Kami did an excellent job bringing each character to life so to speak. I look forward to more of these types of books in the future.
