I am undoubtedly a confirmed Janeite.

This anthology that includes some of Jane Austen's own writings, her letters, memories from contempories, comments from such as Sir Walter Scott and Longfellow, is a delight to read and also a delight on the eye. The illustrations are superbly selected and match the text to perfection.

An ideal beginning for someone who does not know Jane Austen's works as many great paragraphs are included from all her works. Scott considered her "inimitable" and she probably is!

Het is wel leuk om te lezen hoe anderen over Miss Austen dachtten, maar er staat niet echt iets nieuws in. Een leuk boekje om eens door te bladeren.
