This second book from Megan Short’s Alaskan series is so so good. We have high action and suspense from page one all the way to last page. Learning to trust God in the process of everything we go through is a major theme. Even when we can’t see the big picture we can trust He has his hands on us. Thank you to this author who always adds such great faith elements into her books. I can’t wait for the next book by her. It’s always fun to learn and read more books about Alaska. That’s a place I’d love to visit.

I enjoyed reading Trapped on the Alaskan Glacier, Megan Short’s second book from Love Inspired Suspense that includes characters from her debut novel, Alaskan Police Protector. Beth is in witness protection in Alaska as part of an ongoing FBI investigation into an Eastern European crime gang. She has trust issues and, when her location is compromised, she isn’t happy when a new US Marshal handler is sent to extract her.

Jake arrives in Alaska on a mission to keep Beth safe. Her life is in danger and they’re on the run. Jake and Beth bond quickly as they are forced to work together to survive many intense and life threatening situations. Their romance is sweet and low key as they both try to ignore their growing romantic feelings and deal with past emotional baggage. Jake relies on his faith and Beth is challenged to consider if she can trust God.

I read the book quickly, within eight hours, because I was hooked from the opening chapter and had to keep turning the page to find out what happens next. I loved how the suspense plot kept me guessing. There were intriguing mysteries to solve, including international espionage.

I recommend Trapped on the Alaskan Glacier to romantic suspense readers who like action packed and high octane suspense with a protector hero, forced proximity, international espionage and strong faith elements in the story.

Many thanks to the author for the advanced reader copy.

Thanks to the author for my review copy.

This is the second book by Megan Short set in Cordova, Alaska. We see a couple characters from book one but it is very much a book on its own. We met Beth Ryder in book one as a teacher. In this book we find out she is in WITSEC, Witness Protection and her identity has been discovered. US Marshall Jake Cruz is sent to extract her and deliver her to safety.

The book starts with Beth finding out her cover has been compromised, and her handler is unable to get her to safety due to illness. This is where Jake comes in. He has been sent to keep her safe and deliver her to the new safe place. Right from the start there is action and Beth's life is in danger only she doesn't fully comprehend how much.

There is a lot of drama in this book but on to the point you wonder who the characters are still alive. Along with the high drama there are some touching scenes with real conversations. The faith element is relevant and very real.

I loved the way the book played out, there were a few surprises I didn't pick. Another great read and I eagerly await the next book. If you enjoy Love Inspired Suspense and especially set in Alaska, I am sure you will enjoy this book.

Megan Short delivers a fast-paced, action-packed suspense novel that doesn't disappoint! Beth Ryder is in the WITSEC program because she witnessed a murder. Safely, or so she thinks, ensconced in an Alaskan town as a teacher, she suddenly finds herself under attack. And her handler is out with the flu. Enter Jake Cruz, US Marshal, who is assigned to see her safely back under protection. But when a series of attacks leave them in the Alaskan wilderness, can they work together to make their way back to civilization and safety? The vivid wilderness descriptions, intense suspense, and gently woven spiritual aspect all kept me turning pages long after bedtime. Grab Book 2 in this series (although it can be read as a stand-alone novel) for a great ride!

My thanks to the author for a advanced digital copy. All thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

First of all, I love the setting for this story. Over the last couple years Alaska has become one of my favorite settings for stories, and I am always on the lookout for books set there. This one was fun overall. I enjoyed the danger and intrigue of the story and the fact that the two main characters started off as enemies to a certain extent, made the story more interesting. The ending held a few surprises and I loved the epilogue. I look forward to more of Megan’s stories!

I really enjoyed this fast-paced thrill ride of a story that’s set in the beautiful and dangerous landscape of Alaska. Beth and Jake’s story was one surprising twist after another, and I couldn’t put it down until I reached the satisfying conclusion. I appreciated the author’s focus on God and His trustworthiness, and I was encouraged by the truths presented. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading inspirational suspense, and I can’t wait for the author’s next book!

I loved the first book in this series, Alaskan Police Protector, and I love this one just as much. We were briefly introduced to Beth in the first book and this second book is her story. This was action packed and full of suspense from the beginning. I am not religious in any way and I appreciate that even though Megan’s books have the faith element, it is not overbearing in any way.

Quite a roller coaster ride with international villains dogging a woman in witness protection, going on the run with a US Marshal. Most of it was very much an on-the-road-in-jeopardy story, which became very hectic. A few quiet down moments for romance and the couple sharing their faith, which was nice.
