Emmy's interest in romance can be traced back to her love of Nancy Drew books, when she tried to solve the mysteries of her favorite detective while rereading the romantic chapters with Ned Nickerson. Fast-forward a few years when she discovered a worn copy of "A Rose in Winter" by Kathleen Woodiwiss on her mother's bookshelf, and she was hooked. Over 20 years later, Harlequin Presents made her dream come true by offering her a contract for her first book.

When Emmy isn't writing or reading, she's chasing around her baby boy, feeding her menagerie of fur babies or carving out a little time on her front porch with her firefighter hubby.

Aislinn was being blackmailed, and ended up marrying the older man because threatened to hurt and ruin her adoptive parents, and her best friends, Liam and Diane, where all three were raised in foster care. The three met in school and became best friends. Her husband was an evil, horrible man. He was under investigation by the FBI but died of a heart attack. Thank God, she was cleared of any wrongdoing. She needs to figure out what she will do because the FBI froze everything. What will she do? She lost her career, she has no money or home to go to. Her friend, Liam who’s now a billionaire wants to help. He offers her a proposition. A marriage that can help him and her. He needs to prove to his clients that he is stable and a family man, because he’s starting his own financial firm. She needs to lay low until all of the bad things her husband did blows over. She accepts. Liam always thought of her as a little sister. Boy is he wrong. He sees her in a new light. Aislinn has always loved Liam. He doesn’t see her as a woman but as the young girl he knew. Can the two live together and not fall into bed with each other? Will they be believable? Will his clients see through their marriage? Will he keep his clients? Will his new business be successful? Will the two realize that they were meant to be? I was rooting for these two. The characters are wonderful. Sometimes you need to see what’s right in front of you. Your future. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

Thanks to Nelnet, the author, and the publisher for the review copy! Wed For the Headlines is a second-chance romance, which I normally don’t get super into, but it also has an arranged marriage trope, which I do really like. The main couple is sweet but for being childhood friends, it doesn’t feel like they always know each other that well. My biggest complaint is about the lack of communication from the female lead; I didn’t understand why she didn’t explain the situation early on and treated Liam like an enemy instead of an ally. This was a book that falls under the category of “I don’t regret reading it, but I also wouldn’t necessarily recommend it over other books.” Emmy Grayson is a good author though, and I’ve enjoyed other books from her; this one just didn’t quite hit.

This was SUCH a lovely read. You can’t help but root for the couple that learns to love themselves through the journey of learning to love each other. It pulled at my heart and had me so emotionally connected, all in a story short enough that I could read it in its entirety during a flight. Emmy struck gold with this story, with an incredible Icelandic backdrop to top it off.

Couldn’t get into the book all the back and forth narratives between hero and heroine. Heroine was in love with hero since she was a child but she still had numerous sexual relationships with other men. Hero also had his infatuation with the heroine but kept himself away because of his past trauma… dragging on too long for me. Abounded the book not for me
