Received as a review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Cursed Confessions is a hauntingly and beautifully dark thriller... that opens with them shocking murder of Toby Williams that makes Ava Ramsey and her partner Harry realize that ritualistic behavior of the killing means this twisted and sadistic murderer is sending a dark message. And it's only the beginning when another harrowing murder of a well known wealthy elderly woman further confirms to the FBI these terrifying deaths the killer is hunting down those that have committed egregious sins within the religious community and need to be "cleansed" through these dealy rituals. The deeper Ava and Harry walk the darkness of those cases, the dark connection they discover between a known woman that views herself as an influential spiritual healer and Father Francis. It's what both unravel about these two people- a sickening partnership is blown open that forces both agents to act fast to prevent the twisted ending to the sick line of murders that's shocked a tight knit community to its core.

For fans of Alex Sigmore's work... a wonderful companion series to devour.

Wonderful story by Axl Blaze but my ,when faith turns deadly a man or woman scorned ? When the deceased is wearing a halo of thorns…Well a crown and what also emits a frown from FBI agent Ava Ramey and her partner Harry as she’s worked out who it is from this is the way the arms are twisted into the hands of a clock as it were…Mightily gruesome it so is and it seems it’s church business down to a tee . Not the confessionary but the service times is what’s been portrayed here ,he’s struck before if you excuse the pun . This one is close to Ava as her own devout mother though estranged has become entangled in this story which sets them on a path to the past and answers that should have been untangled and wrangled years ago. Friend or foe ,she must go on . This is a good one! So intense! Edge of my seat with this riveting storyline delivered superbly in the prose too

Mystery thriller with haunting storyline

The book hooks you with eerie clues,emotional stakes, and suspense. An exciting thriller that dives into the human psyche.

The confession based murders are disturbing, and the plot twists continue to the end of the story.

Recommended if you like twisty plots and psychological suspenseful stories.

Loved this episode, it is compelling and realistic. There are lots of unexpected twists and the visuals promoted by the dialogue give you the clearest pictures of both the characters and the settings. You won't be disappointed as Ava and Harry backed up by their colleagues' piece the evidence together.
