This box set is one of the most wonderful and enjoyable sets I have ever read. Highly recommend to any shifter lover or those who love a good Scottish man in a Kilt.

Kiss the Dragon by Michelle Fox 5 Stars
Will being a dragons Maiden save her?
Sara being on the run for the last ten or so years finds a little respect in the arms of Alec. Can being his Maiden save her or just break the curse placed on him and what of his brothers. Will their curse be broken some day? Well written action packed and very entertaining to read. Can’t wait to see each brother find their Maiden.

By the Light of the Scottish Moon by Red Phoenix 4 Stars
I don’t want to die
Freya is dying of cancer, with only a few days left. So she goes to her homeland of Scotland. While sightseeing at an old castle she falls asleep. After waking she stumbles on a secret ceremony, one that just might get her killed. After being let go, the next day she happens upon some of the same men at the ceremony all by chance, or was it fate? She fell a pull to one of them and that night fells he is calling out to her. Is it her imagination or fate again? The end of this book is just the beginning of something new. Well written story. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Conall 5 Stars
Dragon Hunter and her shifter
Dragon Hunters go out in pairs, but what happens when this pair of sisters get separated. One (Keira) in the clutches of an Alpha Wolf (Lachlan, UK Alpha) who’s claiming he’s her mate. And the other sister (Gillian) is missing and possible with a dragon. The wolves are about to go into a war with other wolf shifters all for the title of UK Alpha. And if there not carful the humans will wipe them out because of it. Can Lachlan claim his mate, keep his position and help find her sister? Action packed and excitement throughout the book. Well written and very enjoyable to read. This may be part of a series but it’s still a self-contained story.

The Highlander's Mate by Liliana Rhodes 5 Stars
Timeless love
Ainsley runs when she hear the wrong thing from her one true love. Later finds out the truth, but can it save her and there love? Bran MacCulloch thinks his one true love died hundreds of years ago and yet every time he catches her scent he follows it in hopes she is still alive. The scent brings him to Leeds Point once again where lots of paranormal stuff seems to happen. But can she really be there? Well written and very enjoyable to read. Looking forward to finding out what happens next.

Highland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt 5 Stars
Highly entertaining
I got to learn a new term for werewolf and the Wulvers. I like it. This story takes place when women have no rights and yet one such sticks up for herself and it may just restart a war. For years the MacFalons, Wulvens and King Henry had a wolf pack to keep all at peace and the lands safe. But one of the three are trying to rid the world or the lands of another. Can this slip of a young woman be a part in stopping it, or is she what starts it. Well written and very enjoyable story to read. Fast paced and kept my interest.

To Tame a Highlander by Adriana Hunter 5 Stars
Uprooted and in turmoil
Could you imagine being a nurse and watching someone die in front of you, only to be met by that same person at your window? And that where everything starts. Upheaval from your life and all you thought you knew. Fighting for your life along the way of traveling to another country, and to the unknown of what will happen next. This wonderful shifter story has lots of action and adventure throughout the book. With a wonderful HEA that also makes you wonder what in store for their future. Well written and very entertaining to read. Self-contained story with great characters.

Highland Moon Rising by Sarah Makela 5 Stars
Family troubles and interspecies love
This is a wonderfully well written book about love and abuse, family and strangers. Caitlyn’s brother was finally coming home after being locked in a lab and having who knows what happening to him. While waiting for him at his place some of his pack show up, not knowing the family connection and attack her. But the person who attached who is not stranger we later find out. While she’s locked up at the pack compound the Alpha tries to talk with her. Her being a wereleopard and them being werewolves can be a little tricky. Action with some loving brings this story all together as a very enjoyable read. Self-contained story and still part of a series.

The Zrakon's Curse by Linda Barlow 5 Stars
Very Original and entertaining
Part of a series and yet a self-contained story. Wondrous shifter/wolf/sea dragons and a traveler from another world/dimension. An ordinary sea dragon and a darkling/vampire creature. A curse that’s is better understood by the end of the book. And a true mate bond forms within this story. Well written and very enjoyable to read. Looking forward to reading more stories by this author and this series. Funny thing is, I had bought the first book to the series back when it was on sale and have never had the chance to read it. I will be making sure I do in the very near future.

Liulf by Victoria Danann 4.5 Stars
New world New Love
It’s always amazing to me how an author can come up with an original new story about wolf shifters. This is once again a very original concept of a story. As humans encroach ever so closely and start to hurt or hunt wolves, the pack takes on a new adventure. Leaving all the world conveniences behind and going to a whole new world/dimension. A place with no running water or electricity, but also with no humans to hunt them. Some did stayed behind, but for those that moved are in for adventure, along with new prospects for love and mating with the other packs in the new place. Well written and very enjoyable to read. Great start to a new world of possibilities and new series.

Roots and Fang by Skye Eagleday & Ripley Sage 4 Stars
Fate’s intervention
Very interesting stoyline that has shifters, a Pooka/Sidhe “In England they call him Puck or Robin Goodfellow.”, Daoine Sith and some humans. A human who has his grandfather’s journal and his dying request to return a stone back to its rightful place. But McKay doesn’t know where that place is. Somehow fate brings him to a bar and an invitation to an annual Fest that might just help him in his quest. Enjoyable story that in the end you have to pay attention to who is speaking to whom and who is speaking thru whom. Very original story line.

Knights of Stone by Lisa Carlisle 5 Stars
Rock On
What a wonderful HEA love story with Witches, Werewolves and Gargoyles in it. Self-contained story. Lots of stuff happening throughout the book to keep your interest. With an Island just for then and a division caused by something in the past that no one seems to know the full truth of. Can two beings form different areas come together and fall in love, and will it help gap the division or make it worst. And if things don’t get any better, then the humans will for sure be making it a lot worst. Well written and very entertaining to read.

Midnight Hunt by Arial Burnz 5 Stars
Love that transcend thru different lifetimes
For the most part this is a self-contained story and yet part of a series. There were a few areas that were a little fussy by not reading the books that came before this one, but in the end things were explained for the most part. It does make me want to read the previous stories in the series. A whole lot of things were going on with characters like Werewolfs, Elemental Witches, Vamsyrians, Prophetess and a prophecy with several parts to be fulfilled. A fellow Vamsyrian brother with a grudge and feud who also plays the part of the Inquisitor of the Church. And if that’s not enough there’s a sect of what are call The Army of the Light or Tzava Ha’or. And all the while there is a love story that transcends through different life times with a reincarnation of a soul. Well written and very entertaining to read.

*I'm not rating this on GR for the time being because I haven't read the whole thing yet. As I read, I'll update with a mini review of each story and rate the book as a whole once I'm done*

Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Conall - ★★★★

I really enjoyed this one. I haven't read anything by this author before so I'm not sure if this particular story is part of a series. I definitely felt like this was a stand alone but I also felt like connections had been established prior to this story. But overall, I loved Lachlan and his alpha ways. As soon as he met Keira, I felt his connection to her and his desire for her to be his mate. The author did a great job showing their connection even when Kiera wasn't convinced. I would definitely read more from the author in the future.

Liulf by Victoria Danann - ★★.5

There wasn't really anything wrong with this story but I just couldn't get into it. It seemed like it had a great set up and would have made a great full length novel. However, while I like feeling like I'm in Scotland with the Scottish names, the names of the characters in this story were a little difficult for me pronounce. I was never sure if I was saying them correctly so every time a name popped up, I pronounced it differently. And that just took me out of the story every time.

Highland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt - ★★★★★

I've read a few Selena Kitt books was my first paranormal by her. I really loved Sybil and Raife. They pulled me right into the story and wouldn't let me go. Even though this wasn't a full length novel, I didn't feel like it was rushed. It was nicely paced and had a nice development of the connection between the characters. I would love to read more about the wolvers in the future. I'll definitely be picking up more books by Ms. Kitt. :)

This riveting collection of paranormal romances keeps readers entertained for hours with tale after tale of Highland shifters that take the breath away.

These fast paced and smooth flowing plots captivate readers with suspense, drama, action, passion and romance. The authors brings the stories to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and make the reader feel as if they are part of the stories while the strong compelling characters grab the reader’s attention and invite them to join in them in a wee bit of Highland Passion.

The romances are full of emotional angst, drama, passion and scorching hot sex scenes. Whether the opposites attract, species issues or just plain obstinate alphas the reader can’t help but get caught up in their stories as each author creates their own romantic adventure for each and every character. Some of the stories are part of ongoing series that the readers already love and enjoy and some introduce new characters and worlds to tantalize the imagination and one thing is for certain, there is never a dull moment.

Spine tingling anticipation builds throughout the stories with lots of action and suspense from dangerous enemies to full out wars that add lots of excitement to the stories. While I haven’t read all the stories yet, I have read the majority of them and I found them be charming and sensual with touches of humor and captivating characters. And let’s be honest really if you love shifters and if you love sexy Highlanders, then you know adding them together gets you wonderful stories but twelve of them all together in one place gets you drool worthy, dream inducing fantasies to spice up every reader’s passions.

As people have seen in previous boxsets that I review each story gets it's own review which means the review for the stories may seem long or short depending on what I highlight and note.
Kiss the Dragon by Michelle Fox
Yea so I want a highland dragon they keep intriguing me no matter what author writes about them I mean seriously Alec is just a generally caring guy, or it could be because it's Sara he's looking after, "for some reason, tossing my cookies always made me repentant. Like an apology would make it stop. "Shush, lass. Tis not a surprise after all ye drank last night." Why can't my man be that caring? Did I mention the protectiveness and possessiveness these men have for their women even if it's their own brother doing some teasing, "Alec cut in front of me, glaring darkly at the blond. "Touch her, Gavin, and I'll kill you." I mean he's also one of those guys who will replace things, what guy do you know who does that?
"Hey, I only have two pairs of underwear," I said
"I will buy you more," he growled. "And then rip them all off, one at a time."
Obviously his giving nature is purely for selfish reasons but that's alright he's still giving. I had read one other book by Michelle and that girl does not disappoint in her writing or her characters.
By the Light of the Scottish Moon by Red Phoenix
Freya is a genuinely caring person, "she trembled under his unyielding grip. "I felt the need to come, to see if you were okay." She paused before admitting, "I wanted to...comfort you." Bryn he's one sexy wolf and the boy has so much restraint, "the growled, abruptly moving away from her. "The first order of business is to introduce ye to the pack so that we can officially become Everlasting. I will not touch ye again until the ceremony. It seems I have zero restraint." The ending left a lot of questions unanswered it kind of upset me I wanted more and I wanted answers to those questions.
Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Conall
This one was my favorite out of the boxset the story spoke to me and it was so intriguing and I just loved it. Lachlan that boy is as cocky as confident, "their eyes met. "You're my mate. I'll soon know every inch of you intimately. Taking a little look now won't hurt anything." Lachlan brought humor to this story, that I didn't think he was meant to in certain situations, "Lass, I'm trying to woo you. Why would I lock you up?" Lachlan is like any other red blooded male but being wolf his senses are heightened and he has only so much control, "I canna take this much longer, lass. Seeing you lean over like that..." His teeth nipped at her neck. "It's a temptation." Keira she was such an interesting character and her thoughts were totally a hoot, "damned werewolves. Super hearing, super smelling, super speed. Super sexiness. What the hell was she going to do with him?" Our boy he's overall a simple man with simple tastes and needs, "he kissed her cheekbone. "Women think men like lacey, frilly things. Men like naked things and things that barely cover naked things." Yes there were unanswered questions at the end but it wasn't about the main characters it has to do with a certain sister that I totally want the story for.
The Highlander's Mate by Liliana Rhodes
Yeah so our boy Bran has a little jealousy issue, "I never stopped thinking about you all of these years. And now that I see you're still alive, you're living with another man," I said. Jealous doesn't begin to describe how I'm feeling." I loved how after not being together for so long Bran and Ainsley get right back in it with the chemistry they have:
"I've found something about this time that I don't like," he whispered.
"What is it?"
"You're wearing a lot more clothes," he said with a smirk.
This story was okay it didn't speak out to me like the other stories did.
Highland Moon Rising by Sarah Makela
Dougal he's the type of man that doesn't give a terd what others think, "while I might get a lot of criticism from the pack, I wanted to have her." He's such a man when it comes to his woman, "he smirked and pulled back again. "Aye." He slid his pants down. No underwear marred my view of his thick c***. "Your turn." In one swift move, he removed my panties." This story was so naughty and I loved it.
The Zrakon's Curse by Linda Barlow
Colin it's cute how he can get embarassed and I loved how Ariane made him feel at ease, "now it began to feel unbearably delicious and erotic, which made his monster c*** filled even more. "Don't be embarrassed," Ariane told him, after he'd suffered this discomfiture for several minutes. "I'm used to it." Ariane she's so innocent and I loved that about her, "ah," she said. One hand began a delicious caress of his scrotum while the other moved up to grasp his c***. She looked up again, asking a trifle shyly. "This is permitted?" Colin he's such a jokester at times, "s***, lassie, we've only been shagging for a few days! Now you wanna get married?" I loved Colin.
Liulf by Victoria Dannon
Rain that girl isn't one to beat around the bush, "I have never even seen you smile. Not onse. Which is just weird for a wolf. You know? Whoever heard of a wolf who doesn't smile? Ever. I'm not the right one for you. So, if you'll excuse me..." Rain she's feisty and isn't afraid to fight for what she wants, "Rain smirked. "Some b**** tried to claim Liulf. I said no. I think she slammed her head into my eye hard." Luilf's plan to keep his woman from complaining is a totally genius idea, "I plan to stay between her legs, hold her two legged form, and mate her until she's too happy to argue overly much." This book was good, and i enjoyed the characters.
Highland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt
Book not included in arc
To Tame a Highlander by Adriana Hunter
Book not included in arc
Roots and Fang by Skye Eagleday & Ripley Sage
Sadly this is the one I didn't really like in the boxset there was a lot of m/m and I don't do to well m/m so I'm sorry to say to the author(s) I didn't pay much attention to the story.
Knights of Stone by Lisa Carlisle
Kayla you could totally tell the girl was innocent and that is what appealed to me, "I like this," she said, touching the nape of his neck and through his dark hair. She kissed his neck, nibbling and biting him, and he moaned again." Mason it was cute how no matter what happened his eyes were on one thing only and that was Kayla, "my sweet Kayla." He kissed her smooth neck, nuzzling the warm skin. "I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since last night."
Midnight Hunt by Arial Burnz
This one I also couldn't really get into but Broderick has values and he's such a gentleman, "I am concerned for your reputation. It is entirely improper for me to be in your home alone and I won't do anything to besmirch your character." This was an alright right read it didn't really get my blood roaring like some of the other stories in the boxset.

This is for a review of Red Phoenix Novel.

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review.

Oh Red what a wonderful story you weave…..if you are a fan of Red’s work, I am sure you have already bought this book because you know she is just that awesome. If you are new to Red’s work, lemme tell you how truly talented she is at writing any kind of genera.

This serial is about Freya who is going home to Scotland to basically die. She has cancer and has been told there is nothing left to do. She rents a cabin and will explore and live out her final days checking things off her bucket list essentially. Well a mini-castle exploration makes Freya stumble upon some naked men chanting and dancing in a circle. She tried to get away but is busted. They men decide that she must be killed for what she has seen…..yikes Scotland is kinda brutal!! Well Bryn informs the men that if they “smell” her they will know she is dead in 4days……WHAT!! How can he know that???

Well Freya and Bryn end up running in to each other another night and the men are convinced that Freya is not a good human . But again Bryn protects Frey….hrmmmm why is he protecting this human???? The ending of this part of the novel has Bryn sharing his family history with Freya and also making some life altering choices for the two of them. These decisions will cause some ramification in the next installment. I cannot wait for the next chapters in the life of Freya and Bryn.

I love me a good PNR so when you add a kilt and make a boxed set by a bunch of amazing authors, OH BABY! I am in 7th heaven. I’ve had the pleasure of reading several authors that have put together this boxed set and I can’t wait to see what new creations they have come up with. I was given the opportunity to sample one of the stories and here is my review.

By the Light of the Scottish Moon by Red Phoenix.

In true Red Phoenix style, this story is packed with emotion. Following along Freya as she journeys to her beloved Scotland, I had no idea what to expect. As her story unfolds I find myself tearing up wondering how can this end on a happy note. I won’t tell you what is in-store for Freya and Bryn but let me add this is Ms. Phoenix at her finest. Anyone who has the pleasure of her books knows, Ms. Phoenix’s stand-alone stories will always leave you a bit curious on what happens to her wonderful characters but yet still smiling in the end.

If you purchase this boxed set if nothing else than to read this book then consider your money well spent. I however found this a tasty tidbit of what's to come and can't wait to read the other stories.

I received this book from the author for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

Liulf by Victoria Danann - Liulf and his brothers are quite the trio. They band together in times of need and joke around with each other just like brothers should. When Liulf first meets Rain he's not so sure about what it is he's feeling until near fatal events bring the closer together. Their bond and love grows strong and quickly. Even the brief run in with Litha always makes me laugh.
As always Victoria Danann hits it out of the ball park again with another amazing story.

Highland Wolf Pact - Author Selena Kitt's description of the wolvurs gives you a perfect picture in your mind. The historical part of this book is really interesting. I feel for Sybil and Laina as women. Sybil wanting so desperately to follow her heart for the love she has for Raife but not wanting to put him and his pack in jeopardy, she is very headstrong and brave. Laina wanting to find an end to what she feels as a curse for the women of her pack, risking so much to find it, she is also quite headstrong and brave. Raife is only trying to keep the peace between his pack and those that seek to destroy him. He is also wanting to follow his heart needing his mate.
The leader of the McFalon clan is not one of my favorite people, he is arrogant, pigheaded, and anything else you want to call him. He treats Laina as property or a prize won. He has no passion for anyone except himself. Now, his brother Donal is the total opposite, kind, loving, passionate, and only wants peace as their father did.
I was very impressed with this story. This put a different twist on the Paranormal genre. The author did a wonderful job with the characters and descriptions of them and the surroundings.

Review of the other stories to come...

I've read the first story in this set, Kiss the Dragon, by Michelle Fox. This is a very delightful read. As a devoted fan of the Outlander series, I love to read anything set in the Highlands, pre or post "Herself". Michelle has outdone herself (pun intended) with Sara, a maiden in distress, rescued by, Alec, a knight in tight black leather, who is actually a dragon in distress, in need of a maiden to rescue him. Enter an assortment of other paranormal folk, some fae, witches, a mage, and you have a story that is hard to put down, and leaves you looking forward to the sequels. Oh! and we can't forget the steamy love scenes! My, oh, my! I woke up with wet panties after my dreams! (made the mistake of reading before I went to bed)
Time to go read the next story in the set.

As always with box sets, I have rated each book separately because I believe you should give credit where credit is due...

In general the stories were ok to good. Most were what I call super-minis (under 100 pages) so they were all fast reads. But I will have to say, hands down, the last one, Midnight Hunt #3 was my favorite.

Her Scottish Alpha ****
Kind of predictable but still a good start...obviously lots more to the story so looking for the rest of the series.

Liulf **
Yeah, that one sucked. It read like a history books instead of a story. Very little emotion. Very little detail. None of the things that are the definition of a good story.

Highland Wolf Pack ****
Muuuuch better. Brave heroine who will to do anything to save the people she love, my kind of girl. Granted she did it in a very stupid way but hey, they can't all be perfect every time because that would make it boring.

Kiss the Dragon *****
I love dragon shifter books! They are, hands down, my favorite type of shifters but books about them are few and far between. I can't wait to hunt down the other 3 books in this series!

By the Light of the Scottish Moon ***
I'm so use to shifter books that go by "born not made" that this book almost seemed weird.

The Highlander's Mate *** 1/2
Loved how the story was told across time. A little predictable at times but also some unique concepts I loved.

Highland Moon Rising ****
Interesting and different.

Knights of Stone ****
Paranormal Romeo & Juliet where no one dies...great concept.

The Zrakon's Curse ****
Sea Dragons, telepathic mates that sparkle, and world hopping makes for a good read.

To Tame a Highlander ***
eh (shrugs shoulders), predictable and forced at times but not too bad.

Roots and Fang *****
Now that's what I've been waiting for. Loved it!

Midnight Hunt *****
That was fantastic. Well written, compelling characters, interesting story line....what else could you ask for?

* Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Conall. I was pleasantly surprised. This was a great story and hopefully an indicator of what I have to look forward to as I continue reading the rest of the stories in this set. My only complaint is that I want to know what happened to Keira's sister Gillian. * Liulf The Mahdrah Ahlee by Victoria Danann was entertaining. * Highland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt was a very interesting story. * Kiss the Dragon was a wonderful story. In my opinion you just can't go wrong with biker dragons. :) * By the Light of the Scottish Moon by Red Phoenix Dammit Red... what a sad but wonderful story. I would have loved for this story to continue. The ending left me wondering how it would all work out with the pack. * The Highlander's Mate by Liliana Rhodes was another sad, but wonderful story. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series, Wolf at Her Door. * Highland Moon Rising Cry Wolf by Sarah Makela was an excellent story. * Knights of Stone by Lisa Carlisle was another fun story. I would/will read more of Lisa Carlisle's work. * The Zrakon's Cures by Linda Barlow was surprisingly interesting to read. I don't usually enjoy stories about other worlds but I must admit that I did enjoy this story. * To Tame A Highlander by Adriana Hunter is an excellent story, but the excessive number of typos just about ruined it for me. * Roots & Fangs by Skye Eagleday and Ripley Sage was a bit outside my comfort zone being that I am an older straight man. That being said it was a very entertaining story. * Midnight Hunt by Ariel Burnz was a good story overall, but I had a hard time following it at times. I think it was a bit to complex for my simple mind. I didn't like the ending with Rasheed, Mikhail and Ammon.

This was a fun set and all of the stories were entertaining.

I am giving this review for Michelle Fox and all of the 13 authors in this book set.

There are 12 books in this set and each book contains a highland shifter. Be it wolf, dragon, sea dragon, gargoyles, witches or whatever you can hear the Scottish accent of the lairds and lassies in each and every story. This set combines shifters with Scottish accent so what more could you ask for.

This set has 13 fantastic authors who contributed to this collection. Michelle Fox, Red Phoenix, Tabitha Conall, Liliana Rhodes, Selena Kitt, Adriana Hunter, Sarah Makela, Linda Barlow, Victoria Danann, Skye Eagleday and Ripley Sage, Arial Burnz and Lisa Carlisle each have a story in this set and the stories are told from each authors way of writing shifters.

I love this set of stories and have nothing bad to say about any of them. Each of the stories is great and I get the feeling that some of the stories will expand by the authors.

If you love paranormal Scottish shifters of any sort then you will definitely want to invest in this great set of stories to have in your library. Some are for mature readers because of sexual content so please be aware of this.

even better than chocolate! I knew I was in for a marathon read so I stocked up on goodies and shut myself away. I can't stand to put down a book unfinished so I was in it for the long haul. As usual my favourite authors did not disappoint one bit but I confess my absolute favourite was Kiss of a Dragon by Michelle Fox. I simply loved it. After I finished reading the book I wish it had been placed last in the book. The reason I say this is that I enjoyed this story so much (I adore dragon shifters) that I subconsciously compared the other stories in this collection to it. All but one story I did not enjoy but that is because of personal preference. What more can you want hot alpha shifters and a gripping storyline? I highly recommend this book and have given it 5 stars because of the quality of the stories and the calibre of the authors. Rush out and buy it immediately. farm out the children if you have them. Visit the bathroom and settle down with this brilliant book and chocolate. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Boxed Set

I am thoroughly enthralled by these stories. I have not been able to put my Kindle down since I started reading Michelle Fox's first story

I am not finished reading this awesome boxed set of stories from some of the
best authors of Paranormal, but I just couldn't resist leaving my review now
because I know that the 2 stories left for me to read will be just as good as the ones I have read.

I am in love with all these highlander shifters, they are so powerful in love and battle.

These authors have united to bring some of the most wonderful stories I have read in a long time, it would be crazy if any paranormal fans out there were to pass these by.

Lots of action, suspense and lots, but lots of passion.

Congratulations to all of you for taking me to those lush Highlands and for your magic with words.

If you love shifters you need to have this boxed set, even if you don't, there are Scots in it and we all know they wear kilts :) *sigh* a man in a kilt. Where was I? Oh yes, I have to say this boxed set is fantastic! I haven't read or even recognized some of these authors but I will be stalking, I mean look them up and give a hello anywhere I can find them. The worst thing about this boxed set is the stories are short! Even though they are complete, I still wanted to stay just a little while longer in that world, get to know them better. At least there are links to the other books from the author, part of a series or not. A good writer is a good writer and I typically don't care of the genre, just as long as I can get lost in a book and a good writer can do that. So go forth and one-click you will not be disappointed!

You had me at Shifters and kilts.....As I read the 12 books in this set by some really awesome authors, I'll add to this review.
Victoria Danann's book "Luilf, New Scotia Pack 1" fulfills that hunky shifter kilt hunger from the get go. Luilf, alpha of his pack, is waiting for his true mate and will venture to a new world to find her and protect his pack. Luilf and his two brothers travel to another dimension with the help of the demon, Deliverance...You will recognize characters from Victoria's book "Moonlight" in "Luilf" too.
Does Luilf find his mate in this new world?
I really enjoyed this book and can not wait until the next one in this series.

This box set is one of the most wonderful and enjoyable sets I have ever read. My personal 2 favorites have been Kiss the Dragon by Michelle Fox and Liulf by Victoria Danann. I was gifted the set by one of the authors in the series and could not put it down once I got started. I highly recommend this box set to anyone who loves shifters of all kinds and anything related to men in kilts. :-) Several of the authors in this set are already on my always TBR lists and this has now added a few more.

Overall, I believe this boxed set was worth the $.99 I paid for it. Some of the stories were very good while yet others. I could hardly get through. In averaging the star scores for the good and the not so good I settled on 3 stars.

While in pursuit of a dragon shifter named Damon, Keira finds herself in Lachlan’s home, a werewolf shifter. As soon as he smells her, Lachlan knows she's his chosen mate, now how to convince her that she belongs to him. When her sister goes missing, Keira has but one goal on her mind that is finding her, but Lachlan’s presence is hard to ignore.

Hearing from her sister but still no clearer as to where she is or why she isn't coming back to her. Keira decides to help Lachlan in his war against his cousin, who wants to become Alpha of all the United Kingdom. Lachlan does not really want to go to war but his cousin is determined to become Alpha by killing him or die trying.

Even though this book was pretty short it was jammed packed with excitement and suspense. The sexual chemistry between Kiera and Lachlan is scorching. Lachlan and Keira are destined to be together even though Keira tries to fight it, but in the end, she knows where she belongs. When these two finally come together holy mother of god it is HOT. This author really knows how to give you everything you need in a one-two punch. I cannot wait to see what else this author has out to read.I would definitely recommend this box set!

Liulf The Mahdrah Ahlee(New Scotia Pack, Book 1)
(Highland Shifters: Paranormal Romance Boxed Set)
By: Victoria Danann
Amazon: http://amzn.to/1x7LNDp
Rated: Paranormal Romance

After humans kill Liulf’s uncle, who is the current Alpha of the Scotia pack, Liulf must become the Alpha of the Scotia Pack. His uncle’s last words are simple get the pack somewhere safe from humans. Liulf contacts his cousin and finds himself on a journey of the unknown, in the Lunark Dimension. With the help of his uncle Stalkson Grey, Alpha of the New Elk Mountain werewolf colony, he moves his pack to the Lunark Dimension.

While visiting the New Gaul colony, Liulf runs into his mate, Rain Falling who just happens to be the Alpha’s daughter. Rain finds his aggressive behavior and lack of smile unattractive; she refuses to see him as her mate. When Liulf saves her from a bear attack, leaving himself mortally wounded in the process, Rain starts to reevaluate him as her mate.

This book was definitely different from most of the shifter/werewolf books I have read. It talks about fae and dimensional shifting, it leaves you entranced and wanting more. Liulf is all Alpha male and rough around the edges; whereas Rain appears to be shy and reserved. At least until some other she-wolf tries to lay claim to her man, then you had better watch out because she will go full on Alpha she-wolf.

There isn’t as much romance in this story, but the magnetism between Liulf and Rain can be felt from the first moment. This author gives you a little bit of everything from romance to science fiction to fantasy. I loved it and I cannot wait for the next two books to be out so I can see what Liulf brothers’ go through in the new world.
I would definitely recommend this box set!

***ABOUT THE AUTHOR***
My early work (eight-years-old) would be called fan fiction today. I began by writing my version of Bobbsey Twins novels on legal pads that my dad brought home from the office. As an only child - in the days before children became little electronic receivers - there was often not much to do other than seek amusement in my own head.
Childhood fantasies involved being the only girl (for some odd reason) at a ranch for wayward boys. Yes. I do realize this sounds vaguely familiar. Those fantasies were supported by real life events because the boys included me in the afternoon neighborhood games whether it was cowboy/Indians or G.I. Joe.
When I left the Bobbsey Twins behind I didn't write again until I was married with children and in my mid-twenties. I completed a paranormal romance and gave it to my spouse to read. After hearing his criticisms I didn't write again for decades. At the time I didn't understand that he's the absolute farthest thing from my audience.
It turned out to be a blessing because during that time that I didn't write, I lived an extremely full life. I traveled a lot, raised a family, got an education (I have an M.A. in Psychology.) and explored my compulsion to be a spiritual seeker. The fantasies were a constant companion throughout. The faces and names of the characters changed as I matured, but they remained a source of comfort. They helped me through hell-raising teenagers and three near-death scares.
By the time I started writing again, I had something to say.
I write cross-genre with uniquely fresh perspectives on paranormal creatures, characters, and themes. Add a dash of scifi and a flourish of fantasy to enough humor to make you laugh out loud and enough steam to make you squirm in your chair. My heroines are independent femmes with flaws and minds of their own whether they are aliens, witches, demonologists, psychics, or past life therapists. My heroes are hot and hunky, but they also have brains, character, and good manners - usually - whether they be elves, demons, berserkers, werewolves, or vampires.
If you're interested in me personally, I am also a classically trained musician who defected to Classic Rock music. I'm the utility player which means I play rhythm guitar, keyboards, sing back ups and a few leads. My band has covered everything (note for note) from Styx to Led Zepellin to Rush.
I live in The Woodlands, Texas which is why I sometimes joke about being the witch in the woods. Married. Four children. One very smart, mostly black German Shepherd dog.

Highland Wolf Pact (Highland Shifters: Paranormal Romance Boxed Set)
By: Selena Kitt
Amazon: http://amzn.to/1mVZTEC
Rated: Paranormal Romance

English noblewoman Sibyl Blackthorne is not like most English women, her father taught her how to fight, shoot a bow, and hunt as good as any man much to her mother’s dismay. Now that her uncle is in control of her life, he has promised her hand in marriage to Alistair MacFalon a despicable piece of man. Determined not to wed him, Sibyl makes plans of escape while out on a hunt. Little does Sibyl know that the hunt would change her life forever.

Riafe is the leader of his pack and is willing to do anything to keep the peace between himself and his neighbor Alistair MacFalon, only Alistair doesn’t want peace. After coming to rescue his brother’s wife from Alistair’s clutches, he winds up rescuing Sibyl in the process. Drawn to her like a moth to a flame, he can't let her go even if it means war between his pack and MacFalon. Love knows no bounds in this book where werewolf and human are concerned.

I totally adored this book, between the characters and the time period, it had it all for me. The author gave enough historical background to make it interesting without making it all about history. She captured my attention right away within the first few paragraphs and kept it all the way to the end. I could not put it down until I read the very last sentence.
If you are into the sex scene within the first couple of chapters this is not the book for you. It is all about the romance and learning to love each other even though you are different. Chemistry between Sibyl and Riafe is hot but watching them fall in love with each other is what will get you hooked. I will definitely be checking out other works from this author.

I definitely recommend this box set!

Her Scottish Alpha - I had no idea what to expect when I started reading this book. I saw the Highland Shifters Bundle on sale and decided to give the books in it a try. This book didn't disappoint. You get the story of Kiera and Lachlan, but also there are two, maybe three other stories hinted at within. I thoroughly enjoyed how Lachlan attempts to very quickly woo Kiera. He has a very limited time to show Kiera that she is his one true mate. She is determined to get away in order to find her missing twin sister, but also Lachlan is dealing with an impending werewolf war between the English pack and the UK pack. He must convince Kiera to stay with him, to be his mate before she finds a way to leave and before a war occurs possibly killing him in the process. It's a pretty fast read. My biggest complaint is that I felt like Lachlan's Scottish scent could have been brought out in the dialog a little bit more. Otherwise it was definitely worth reading.

Liulf: Alpha of the Mahdrah Ahlee - This is the second book in the Highland Shifters bundle and both talk about other dimensions. I was a little taken aback by that. This particular story actually has the werewolves going into the other dimension in order to escape the humans who will eventually hunt them to extinction. Liulf (which I really wish there had been a key for pronunciation of the names) has become alpha due to the death of his uncle by human hands. Upon his death he names Liulf as alpha and no one challenges that naming. The kicker is that on his death bed his uncle told Liulf to contact a cousin of his to discuss moving the pack. They had been in this one location for centuries, but technological advances and the growth of the human race has been making it harder to stay hidden. On top of all his new responsibilities, Liulf is longing to find his true mate. He's over 400 years old and considered highly desirable. However, he believes in a true mating and won't just settle for convenience. The new world provides promise of cleaner air, water, and new mates for the entire pack, one of which has caught Liulf's eyes immediately.

I am not going to go into the details of the meat of the story, but I found the take on werewolves to be very interesting. There's a lot that you will find in your standard werewolf writing, but the slight differences make it more interesting. I liked how the love interest isn't an immediately "I found my soul mate" concept. Liulf has to win her over and she has to do some growing up. The character development made the love story part much more believable. I liked it. My biggest complaint was not knowing how to pronounce the Scottish names. I loved how Victoria Danann worked the Scottish dialect into the writing.

Highland Wolf Pact - When I started reading this story I almost felt like I was reading Disney's Brave. It's like the story of when Merida is finally forced into a marriage. Don't think that it is a Disney-like love story though. The main character, Sibyl, is forced into a marriage contract by her uncle after her father passed away. She is a high born English lady and she is to marry a Scottish Laird whom she discovers is an animal of the worst kind. He likes to hunt Wulvers which are half-man and half-wolf. Her fiance is just a human, but his personality was more animal than the Wulvers. She does what she has to to get away from her fiance because she couldn't stand the idea of marrying him. When she gets away, it is straight into the arms of the Wulvers her fiance is hunting. They save her and she saves them. In the process, she learns who she is meant to be.

I loved the story. I couldn't put it down. There is one scene in the book that makes me think there might be more to the story. It doesn't feel like there will be a second book though. I just felt like more information could have been given about what Raife (the leader of the Wulvers) knew about Sibyl and about how Sibyl's father raised her like a boy by teaching her to hunt, track, and survive in the wilderness. That might be me reading more into it though. It was great story and I loved the characters.

Kiss the Dragon - Sara has had a very rough life. She was just a normal human being and didn't believe in magic until she was hit with lightning, died three times, and woke up with a voice in her gut. I said gut because that is where she felt like the voice resided instead of in her head. At first people came to with job offers because this voice seemed to predict the future and she even had a tiny bit of control over what it said to her. She didn't want to be defined by the voice though, so she turned down every offer. After the offers came the people hunting her down. Some of them were human, but often they weren't. She has spent ten years on the run leading her to Inverness. The voice told her she would be safe there for a while so she decided to actually do something for herself for once by opening a cupcake shop. The problem is that people found her almost immediately, driving her into the arms of a stranger while looking for help in escaping them. That someone ended up being a dragon. The voice took control of her body, forcing her into a lip lock with Alec, thus changing his life forever and later hers.

Alec is a dragon stuck in human form via a curse. Kissing Sara revealed to him that she is his maiden, the woman destined to be his mate. I found the idea of dragons being locked in human form to be very interesting. I actually had trouble putting the book down because I wanted to know if just finding his maiden would cure him of the curse or would each of his three brothers have to find their maidens as well in order for all four to be cured. I liked Sara's paranoia and how it meshed with her character development. I enjoyed the romance even if it happened really fast. Well worth reading and I look forward to reading the other three brothers stories.

By the Light of the Scottish Moon - Werewolves in Scotland are very aggressive in this story. Freya has returned home to Scotland after being diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. She has a death sentence on her head and decides to see her homeland before she is gone. She rents a little cottage where she won't be bothered or watched. It's a beautiful place where she can die in peace. While exploring the countryside, she comes across naked men around a fire. This is where she meets Bryn. Bryn is the leader of the pack. Their laws state that Freya must die just for simply seeing them, which leaves her very confused. She is left to live simply because the cancer will over take her in a matter of days.

It is very interesting to see how the pack deals with the knowledge of this observer having a death sentence already. It's even more interesting when Freya realizes that she has one last purpose to her life. I feel like this is only the beginning to the real story. It was good, but I felt like there should be more. I like the twist at the end very much though.

The Highlander's Mate - What happens to a wolf shifter who is immortal and met his mate who is not? The story is about Bran who is on the illusive quest to find Ainsley, his one true mate. She does not suffer the curse that Bran's clan suffers which makes him immortal, but somehow after centuries Bran keeps coming across her scent. He follows it relentlessly even though he is certain she must be dead after all this time. The strange thing is that the smell keeps leading him back to the same town every so often. This time he is determined to either find her or find the one with the similar scent. Lucky for him, he stops in a shifter bar with a bartender that can help him.

After all these years Bran finds his mate. I do love when two people destined for each other are brought back together even when it seems impossible. I enjoyed reading about how Bran and Ainsley met and fell in love. The explanations Ainsley gives later completely make sense, but somehow I just wanted something more in there. I guess it felt too easy perhaps? There is obviously another story coming but I don't think that Bran or Ainsley will be the main characters. Perhaps more information about them will come out in that story.

Highland Moon Rising - Caitlyn has been trying to help her half-brother escape captivity while trying not to be captured herself. He;s a werewolf and she's a wereleopard. Their mother was an unlucky human who happened to get pregnant by two different shifters without knowing what they were. Now Caitlyn is preparing for her brother's return home only to find his house already has another werewolf occupant. They fight because no one knows that Colin has a half-sister that is not a werewolf. It's the basic idea of cats and dogs duking it out. Now Caitlyn has unfortunately been taken captive by the werewolves, beaten almost to death by Colin's father, and finds herself inexplicably drawn to Dougal, the alpha werewolf.

An extremely fast paced book to say the least. I actually felt like time was not explained well enough in the story. Things happen so fast that I felt like it all happened in a single day. I am not sure if it really did or not, but that just left me feeling like the story was a little off. I actually really liked how the pack and Caitlyn handled the rogue werewolf, i.e. Colin's father. I would have liked more information about Colin, but I think that is in another book. It's exciting and quick.

Knights of Stone - Gargoyle shifters are a new topic for me to read. These gargoyles have been living on the Isle of Stone their entire lives. They protect the island through their watchful meditative state. At night they fly around defending the island, but also venturing to other places to learn about the world. They have visited their original homelands of the highlands and they have gone places where they have learned about rock and roll. Something about the music called them and now before they go on their flights at night, they play a rock concert for the humans brave enough to come to their island. This is where Kayla first sees them. Other tree witches have left the safety of their village on the other side of the island, so she ventures out too. She sees one of the rock concerts by the gargoyles and immediately starts questioning the reasons behind their clans' feud. She also finds herself inexplicably attracted to Mason, the guitarist. Lucky for her, he feels the same way. Now they must find a way to be together when fraternization between their clans has been strictly forbidden on both sides.

I found the topic in this story to be very refreshing. My lack of reading about Gargoyles made this very interesting to me, though I still feel like I need to read more to fully understand them. I loved the developing attraction between Kayla and Mason and how they are forced to keep their relationship a secret on both sides. I think it was really interesting why their clans were fighting. Overall it was just really interesting.

The Zrakon's Curse - Ariane is from a parallel world to Earth. She is a Traveler which means she has the ability to control wild animals and uses them to travel across her world. She is something like a diplomat without actually being a politician. She is traveling with her sea dragon companion to his new home when they are attacked by a Darkling. What that really is, no one really knows. Stories just say that it is able to pretty much drain the life/blood of anything it attacks. This attack causes Ariane and Rin (the sea dragon) to go through the rift into Colin's world. Colin is sent to see what has managed to pass between the worlds and to defend the border when he discovers Ariane. They are pretty much instantly drawn to one another, but security measures must be met before they can be together.

It's a really interesting story. I wish there was a little more description on what a sea dragon looks like. There may have been enough for other people to picture, but I really had trouble imagining what it was. The concept of a Traveler and their connection to the creatures they control was very unique. I enjoyed the development of Colin and Ariane's relationship as well. Overall a pretty good book. I am curious about the others in the series.

To Tame a Highlander - A book full of action right from the start. Colin is being hunted by the man he thinks killed his father all because he is destined to be the new alpha of his clan. During one of the assassination attempts, Colin is wounded, seen by humans, and taken to the hospital. One thing that I found different about this werewolf story than most was that Colin was able to "play dead". The hospital ruled him dead, but he surprised Aspyn by showing up at her home hours after she witnessed his death. The two of them are on the run since his confession of what he really is. It's a pretty exciting journey where Colin kidnaps Aspyn who eventually decides that he is the best person for her to be with. He is safety.

I fully enjoyed this book. I liked the slight changes to normal werewolf mythology and liked how this story indicated that a werewolf bite could infect a human. Many paranormal romance authors do not write that a single bite could turn a person into a werewolf. While Aspyn doesn't actually turn in the story, it is hinted that she will. Perhaps it is hinting that there will be another book after this one which I would very much like to read.

Roots and Fang - I am sorry to say that I could not read this one. I have read some gay romance in the past, but I just could not get into this one.

Midnight Hunt - Broderick MacDougal is wandering looking for purpose to his very long Vampsyrian life ever since the loss of his soul mate Davina. He is very angry at a prophetess for saying that Davina was the key to ending their curse and then losing Davina before a cure was found. He believes his entire race is doomed because when a soul dies, they go to heaven or hell and that is it. It happens not to be the case. Davina's soul is now said to have been reborn into a new person so that she can still be the person the prophetess claims her prophecy is about.

Davina, now called Monika, is a fire witch and healer who is tasked to find a cure for the werewolves when she meets Broderick. She believes that he might be the person that she is meant to be with, but there are so many secrets between them.

I loved this book. I know that it is actually the third book in the series, but I think I might have to go get the other two so I can find out what happened in the past. Reading this one didn't give me the impression that it gave away too much information from the other books, but the author informed me that the plot does make a little more sense when they are read in order. I loved this story. I thought it was very unique and full of intrigue. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Four stars overall!

Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Conall
There was tons going on in this story, Lachlan and Keira find each other, we're introduced to two new species, dragons and Dragon slayers, Keira's sister Gillian is kidnapped by the Dragon Damon, war seems imminent with the English half of the UK werewolf pack, we meet all of Lachlan's family, and Colin and Mattie from Her Kilted Wolf make an appearance. All in all, very quick yet amazing read. Although it's written to be able to stand alone, I'd definitely recommend reading these books in order. Each one adds something to the next one. There was a little confusion when Aunt Lorna came back to the Stronghold. She's the best friend of Lachlan's mother, who has passed away, and she helped raise Lachlan and his three siblings. To that point everything is clear, but then it seemed that 'aunt' and 'mom' become interchangeable for a chapter or two. Lorna says she loves them as if they were her own, and she helped raise them, but they only call her 'Aunt Lorna', so I'm not sure why it got all messy in that small part of the story. But it was not enough to detract from the excellent writing and storytelling!! I'd recommend it to anyone that is a fan of shifter romance books or romance fans looking for something new and adventurous.

Liulf: The Mahdrah Ahlee (New Scotia Pack, Book 1) by Victoria Danann
This book was a little dry for my tastes, but it had tons of world building and quiet main characters. I prefer quite a bit of conversation in my books, so with the quiet characters, that also didn't sit well with me. But it was very well written and I'd think it will help set up for the next two books quite well. I'd give it three and a half stars.

Highland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt
This is kind of a new genre for Ms Kitt, historical shifters. But she does it well! Though this was much less erotic than the other books I've read by her, it's still got some steamy action. This book is set in Scotland in 1502, and the main characters are Sibyl, a highborn English Lady, and Raife, a wulver, or as we'd think of it he was a werewolf of sorts. He is the leader of his pack, and she has been promised to the Scottish laird, Alistair, that lives closest to the wulvers, and likes to kill them when he can catch one alone. Alistair has a female caught in a cage and is about to kill her when Sibyl takes action and releases her. In the ensuing struggle, she is rescued by this giant that only seems to speak Gaelic. He takes her to safety, far far away from Alistair. She goes to live with him and his pack in a system of caves inside a mountain, becoming a member of their society, helping however she can. And of course, during this time, she and Raife get to know each other better.

Kiss the Dragon (Maidens Book 1) by Michelle Fox
At the beginning of this story, there were quite a few editing mistakes, like the name of the hero being mixed up several times, at least once in the same paragraph. But even with those mistakes, the story was still very good. More likely than not, I'll be staying with this series, as that I want to see what happens with the hero's brothers, who are also dragons. I'm not a huge fan of dragons, but Ms Fox does them in a way that made it good.

By the Light of the Scottish Moon by Red Phoenix
A very quick, yet somewhat emotional read. The heroine returns to Scotland, where she was born, to die, after being diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. She stumbles upon a group of naked men doing some kind of weird dance. They threaten to kill her, until they smell the impending death on her. They send her on her way with the warning that if she tells anyone, they'll kill her and whoever she tells. The whole story takes place in less than a week, because that's all the time she has left. I'm afraid if I describe anymore, I'll be giving away spoilers, but I will say that it ends somewhere between a Happy For Now and a Happily Ever After.

The Highlander's Mate, A Prequel to Wolf at Her Door by Liliana Rhodes
This is another story that is sad for the majority of the telling. A curse has kept them apart for over four hundred years, with him thinking she is dead that whole time. But he catches her scent again and the chase is on, even if he's sure he's imagining things. I'm not sure they have found their Happily Ever After, but they are at least Happy For Now.

Highland Moon Rising, Cry Wolf by Sarah Mäkelä
I liked this one. An alpha werewolf finds his mate in a werewolves. I plan to keep an eye out to see if this continues as a series.

Knights of Stone by Lisa Carlisle
I saw a blurb for this story in an email a while back and it immediately went on my Amazon wish list. I was very excited to find out I already owned it in this anthology! In a way, it reminds me of society today, minus the paranormal aspects of course, with the way three different cultures share the same land, but are completely divided because of things that happened in the past. I wish it were so easy to overcome the problems in our society as it is for these three cultures, to realize there is an outside threat that overshadows anything they may feel divides them. For one couple's journey to be able to start the path to healing that divide. This is an amazing story that puts things into a perspective that anyone should be able to understand that while people are different, be it race, religion, or culture, we have a lot more in common than many people would like to think.

The Zrakon's Curse by Linda Barlow
As I said before, I'm not usually a fan of Dragon stories, but this one was very original and intriguing. The Zrakon, which is a type of sea Dragon shifter, protects a Rift in the Barrier between worlds. Colin, who is a Zrakon, finds a Traveler from one of those worlds on the beach near his family's ancestral home. He's visited her world before and learned the Common Tongue, a universal language between the countries in her world. Arinae is a Traveler, from a guild that bonds with large predators of their world to travel great distances and encourage trade and diplomacy between the countries. She is currently bonded to a sea Dragon named Rin. She and Rin were traveling to a distant colony of sea dragons where he could retire of others of his kind, since his time as a Traveler's companion has ended. On their way, they are attacked by a Darkling, or a vampire as we would call it. This Darkling herded them toward the Abyss, what they call the Rift in her world. Rin is hurt during this attack, but they both make it to the other side of the Rift, to our world. Arinae forces her will upon Rin to try to get him to cross back over to their world and seek help for his wounds, but she's not sure if he makes it. Soon after she meets Colin and her introduction to his world begins.

To Tame A Highlander: Highlander Werewolf Romance by Adriana Hunter
This was a pretty good story, though I had  a little trouble getting into it. It has all the things I usually like, action, intrigue, romance, but it just seemed to lack the extra sparkle some of the other stories in this anthology have had. And the ending seemed a little abrupt, with a bit of the information missing. I enjoyed it okay, but feel it could have been more.

Roots & Fangs by Skye Eagleday and Ripley Sage
I didn't care for this story, and I was tempted to skip it before I was done with the second page. I did read it all, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Midnight Hunt: Book 3 of the Bonded By Blood Vampire Chronicles by Arial Burnz
This was by far the longest of the anthology, as in novel length. Even with that, it was a pretty quick read. Though the third book in a series, it was easily read as a stand alone, though having read the others probably would have just added to this story. This had some original ideas when it came to werewolves and vampires, or vamsyrians as they're called in this world. And even though Broderick is a couple hundred years old, he doesn't know all the things about werewolves and vamsyrians. This was a great read and I'd definitely recommend it to fans of shifter romances.

Overall, this book was well worth the time and money. There was only one story in it I didn't care for, and one that could have been more,  the rest were varying degrees of good to great. I'd recommend this book to any fans of the paranormal romance genre.

Overall: Some little grammar and spelling issues in the box set that were a little annoying but overall(with the exception of the 2 I didn't get to finish) I loved it.

Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Conall: In the midst of trying to figure out their mating, Alpha werewolf Lachlan and dragon slayer Keira have to find Keira's missing sister, fight a war and save Lachlan's life.

Well, What a start to a great box set. I absolutely loved the characters and story line. The story certainly left me thirsty for more hot alphas and their women but more importantly, it left me starving to know the sisters story. :-P hint hint to the author.

Liulf by Victoria Danann: For two thousand years the Scotia werewolves have enjoyed the protection of the Fae Monarchy, but the world is changing and the tribe must adapt or face extinction. Or move.

I liked this. It was very different. Inter-dimensional is all I’ll say. The newly made alpha makes a bold choice that shockingly finds him meeting his mate. It was a great read and I fell in love with the characters and the setting. I hope to read more from this series.

Highland Wolf Pact by Selena Kitt: Englishwoman Sibyl Blackthorne escapes her arranged marriage to a cruel Scot only to find herself in the arms of something even more dangerous - and discovers only one wild heart can claim another.

I actually think this may have been my favourite out of the entire box set. The characters were relatable. Sibyl is a strong woman and the Alpha is a strong male presence. Their interactions left me needing more from them at times but they never rushed and that’s what I loved. The story line itself was awesome. It gave some details of the past that led to the present, but in a way that wasn't an info dump.

Kiss the Dragon by Michelle Fox: A cursed dragon finds his maiden is already claimed by the future. If he can't save her, she can't save him.

I absolutely adored this one. Not gonna give anything away but it’s a fated mates kinda deal and that is truly amazing. My fav kind of paranormal story. I loved the female character. I love, love, loved the male mate and his brothers. By the end of the story I was left wanting to know all their stories and all their mates.

By the Light of the Scottish Moon by Red Phoenix: Bryn, the pack leader, is so lost in his own pain he can't see beyond it. Freya is dying & has come home to Scotland.to say goodbye. Her fate lies in his hands - but to save her he must kill her.

Damn. This one had me in tears several times. It was very emotional. It’s hard to explain without giving away the story, which I will not be doing. Parts of this tale, like the way they treat the female lead, left me annoyed and upset for Freya. By the end though everything seemed to work out but if all werewolves were assholes like these, I’d steer well clear.

The Highlander's Mate by Liliana Rhodes: Centuries after an ancient curse on his clan tore werewolf Bran MacCulloch away from his mate Ainsley Drummond, he catches her scent on the breeze. But how can it be her?

Ooooh. Paranormal with a hint of sci-fi! Super!! Well laid out story and well thought out situations. Left me wanting more and that’s always great. Characters were awesome.

Highland Moon Rising by Sarah Makela: When wereleopard Caitlyn returns home to see her werewolf half-brother after he’s rescued from scientists, she’s imprisoned by the Pack. Will the Alpha who hungers for her be the protector she needs?

I liked this one a lot too. Seems Almost every story was a huge success. So – Caitlyn is a firecracker and I love her. Her life has been a hard one but she overcame everything that happened(hard to explain without spoilers but I never spoil) – Anyhow… she’s attacked then captured by her half brothers pack and turns out her attacker has a history with her. The Alpha of said pack is AWESOME… The whole story was great. I loved it.

Knights of Stone by Lisa Carlisle: Gargoyles, tree witches, and shifters have divided their Scottish isle. When a witch breaches into another territory, she's tempted by a forbidden attraction that may affect the future for all.

Great read. Loved the setting and the whole romeo and Juliet feel to this story. Forbidden love triumphs over an old grudge between species and two can overcome it all and fix things. Awesome read.

The Zrakon's Curse by Linda Barlow: Sea dragon shifter Colin Malloch's need for a mate draws a woman from another world into grave danger. How can he keep her safe when his own brother demands her life?

I was thrilled to find this in the box set. I read the first Zrakon Book starring Colin's older brother Ross and love love loved it. This did not disappoint. It was great getting to catch up on the characters I remembered but made me fall in love with the active couple in this book too. I loved it.

To Tame a Highlander by Adriana Hunter: Curvy nurse Aspyn Montgomery's night takes a sudden turn when a patient she watched die suddenly turns up at her apartment desperately needing help. Can fated love triumph over the threat of war?

Ah yes. This story I loved. It hooked me from the start. I loved the characters and their stories. It showed their jaded pasts without info dumping the data down my throat which is always a plus. Think this was a close runner up to my favourite of the box set.

Roots and Fang by Skye Eagleday & Ripley Sage: When McKay takes a male Fae lover it triggers the deadly jealousy of the powerful Pooka shape-shifter the Fae abandoned. Can love conquer all when only one of you is human?

I couldn't actually read this. I read the first chapter and it was a bit confusing and things came up that weren't exactly explained well. Then the second chapter seemed to be somewhere else and it confused me further. The writing style seemed nothing like the other stories. I didn’t get on with it so I’m sad to say I can’t give a thorough review of this story.

Midnight Hunt by Arial Burnz: As Broderick unravels the mystery of why Monika reminds him of his late wife, his quest for answers causes a chain of events, starting a witch hunt, dooming them both to the fiery stake of judgment.

And again. Another story I just couldn't get into but I feel that the story before it(roots and fang) just put me in the wrong mind set to continue. I will perhaps try this story again at a later date but until then I can’t say anything.

This is a great collection of steamy shapeshifter romances and an example of the authors amazing talents. Collections such as this one are a great way to find new authors without spending lots of money. Loved! everyone of them. I was hooked from the beginning and read it in two days. Can't wait to read other books by these authors. If you love paranormal Scottish shifters of any sort then you will definitely want to invest in this great set of stories. Highly recommend to everyone.

Kiss the Dragon by Michelle Fox: A cursed dragon finds his maiden is already claimed by the future. If he can't save her, she can't save him.

3.5 stars

Loved this! Was skeptical at first when they kissed so fast and was almost dreading thinking that they were immediatetly going to fall into bed
was happy that didnt happen. I found myself easily into this and not wanting to put it down. Very exciting introduction into a world I am anxious
to read more about as they other brothers get their stories.

*****By the Light of the Scottish Moon by Red Phoenix: Bryn, the pack leader, is so lost in his own pain he can't see beyond it. Freya is dying & has come home to Scotland.to

say goodbye. Her fate lies in his hands - but to save her he must kill her.

This was really good about a woman who goes to her homeland of Scotland to die and finds out she has more destined for her than death.
I found myself very much into this story and would love to see more since this ended with a bit of a cliffhanger like maybe it was hinting of more of a story later. So far I

am loving these shifter stories.

******Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Conall: Her Scottish Alpha by Tabitha Connall: In the midst of trying to figure out their mating, Alpha werewolf Lachlan and dragon slayer

Keira have to find Keira's missing sister, fight a war and save Lachlan's life. This was good full of action and loved how she wasnt so fast to just fall in love right away.

Highland shifters
This was a mixed bag of stories, most of which l enjoyed. They all seemed to be part of a series but none caught my interest enough to find the sequels or prequels. Most had strong women as protagonists.
Her Scottish Alpha
This concerns a wolf shifter named Lachlan who is alpha of the UK, with dissent within his ranks that leads to war. He encounters a woman dragon hunter who is his mate. She resists at first but eventually succumbs to his charms. It's strange to see werewolves fighting but using 21st century technology and dealing openly with the mortal government. One thing I did not like was that Lachlan insisted on no guns being used in the fight to reduce casualties, but when he is threatened he himself pulls out a gun and kills his opponents. Many unresolved issues which I expect will be dealt with in the next book.
Liulf
Lilulf is a werewolf and alpha of his pack. He leads them to a new world and meets his mate, who at first resists but eventually succumbs to his charms (sound familiar?). This universe is already established by previous books which I have not read. The world he comes from is mostly ours in the present day, but the new world is more primitive.
Highland Wolf Pact
This is about Sibyl in 16th century England. She is a political pawn and is promised by Henry VII to a Scottish laird. This man is cruel and she escapes and is rescued by a werewolf. This wolf wants her for a mate. Once again, she resists but eventually succumbs to his charms. Much of the story involves her adjustment to a new way of life. There was a bit too much of the mythology of this world which did not interest me. On the whole it was fairly interesting.
Kiss the Dragon
Sara has been struck by lightning, which gave her precognition and enemies who want to own her. She's living on the run and has an internal voice guiding her. It leads her to a man who is a dragon shifter in modern-day Scotland. He says she is his mate. She resists but eventually succumbs to his charms. There are adventures involving baking, four of her mate's brothers, some evil witches, and a trip to New York. I expect further stories to explore the brothers.
By the Light of the Scottish Moon
Freya has a few days left to live due to cancer. She goes to Scotland to die and stumbles upon werewolves. They are suspicious of her, but dismiss her threat because of her health. Brynn is the alpha but had been challenged by the pack due to his compassionate nature. He falls for Freya and takes pity on her. A beautiful love story.
The Highlander's Mate
This is about an immortal werewolf who was separated from his mate centuries ago. It started out interesting but lost me well before the end.
Highland Moon Rising
Something about a were-leopard and her encounters with wolves. Uninteresting.
Knights of Stone
Gargoyles in a rock band. Uninteresting.
The Zrakon's Curse
Sea monsters or something. Uninteresting.
To Tame a Highlander
Callum is a werewolf marked for death. He encounters a nurse and they have adventures. He falls in love with her amazingly quickly. She resists at first but eventually succumbs to his charms (yet again). An unresolved issue makes me assume there's a sequel.
Roots and Fang
By chance I had just read a previous story in this saga. McKay travels to Scotland to trace his roots. He has already met a werewolf in Canada, so is unimpressed when he encounters fae. No mates here, but lots of coupling with every combination of man/man, man/woman, and woman/woman. There are also ancestors here who resolve issues through their descendants.
Midnight Hunt
Werewolves and vampires. Uninteresting.
