Starlight: Dark Wolf Shifter Romance

Rate this book
Dana has survived the blood-soaked streets of Chicago by playing the game better than anyone— fast deals, faster bullets, and never letting anyone close. Especially not humans.

Detective Dominic Cross built his career on hunting wolves, not trusting them. Not fearing them. Until Dana crashes into his world like a loaded gun with a wicked smile and a body built for sin.

She's everything he despises.

He’s everything she laughs at.

And the deeper he digs into the darkness surrounding her pack, the harder it becomes to decide whether he’s hunting her—

Or falling for her.

In a city where loyalty is a death sentence and love is a weakness no one can afford, two enemies will either destroy each other... Or set the whole damn city on fire.

Not the best book I have read, in reality it's about 3.5. I have read better, but I'm just tired of people on the internet and false accusations. The story is good, Dana and Dominic worked well together because they genuinely felt like they came from opposite sides of the same violent world, and I liked the 1920s Chicago setting, the wolf politics, and the tension between them.
For me, the story was strong enough on its own that all the over-the-top smut wasn’t really necessary. That’s personal preference, as I tend to skip a lot of those scenes anyway, but the plot, the danger, and the chemistry were what kept me reading.
