A Manhattan wedding designer whose work has been featured in top magazines showcases twelve popular wedding settings and counsels readers on how to build on a location, incorporate color and other personal touches, and work within a budget. 20,000 first printing.
I received this book as a thoughtful gift from my best friend and Maid of Honor during my wedding planning process, and it is truly gorgeous. The photos are really beautiful and provide ideas for decor. The sections/chapters are organized according to venue, so chances are you will only reference one or two parts of the book based on which type of venue your own wedding will be in, but it's a great book to see what can be done according to each type of ceremony/reception location. I would recommend this book to brides who are looking for some visual references and inspiration.
I like how this one is organized - it's organized by venue so if you're having your wedding/reception at a winery or a farm, she offers suggestions specific to that place. it was cool, because an 'inn' was one of the venues and she had some good ideas for us!
The beautiful pictures make the book--lots of elegant color combinations and decorations, very good place to get ideas. I liked that she showed photos from weddings she had coordinated, in all kinds of settings.
I'm still confused about why this book got such good reviews on amazon. All of the suggestions were over-the-top absurd or expensive. I regret buying it.
Great pictures - not much new that I hadn't already seen in other books and websites. Definitely get this from the library if you're in the market for a wedding book.
