Such good, unbiased information in this book. Well written and easily understood. The author explains the various roles cholesterol plays in the body, and that this varies with age, gender, and overall health of each individual. To certain people, high cholesterol could be problematic and to others, it would not be an area of concern, and for others still, high is better. While I was strongly opposed to the use of statins prior to reading this book I understand now that statins do benefit some. This book is a great resource if you are seeking to educate yourself on what your lipid panels actually mean.
