Psyche Moon #3

Wolves distrust Mages and their ability to manipulate the mind. Sadie is Mage and mated to Billie, Beta of the local Wolf Pack. After proving her loyalty and promising to stay out of Pack minds, Billie’s Alpha permits Sadie to live in Wolf territory but denies her Pack Status because of her heritage.

“He believes you upset the balance of the pack. Your presence causes trouble no matter what your motives are. He knows we're telling the truth. If you were like other Mages, he would be dead, I would be Alpha, and you'd be on your way to having an army of Wolves at your disposal. He believes you won't hurt us, but he also believes a Mage doesn't belong with Wolves or in Pack business. He thinks there will be problems if you're called Pack in any way.” Sadie hates proving the Alpha right.

A Wolf from a neighboring pack, injured and in need of help, brings danger from without. When the stranger's packmates find out about the Mage living in a Wolf Pack they believe the worst. In the midst of it all, Sadie must come to terms with a prophecy about her and endeavor to fulfill it. Her actions will determine the fate of every race.

This book contains descriptions of lesbian sex. If you're under 18 years old or you object for any reason, then this isn't the book for you. Otherwise, enjoy!

I've always loved to disappear inside of a book, recreating myself in a character for the duration of a story. When I discovered Madeleine L'Engle as a girl, science fiction took on a new depth. Only after reading The Lord of the Rings was she relegated to second favorite author. At different times in my life I've obsessed over the classics, historical fiction, biographies, philosophy and spirituality, science fiction and fantasy. Lately my preferences have focused on fantasy, particularly shapeshifters and magic hidden in our mundane world. Throw in an unusual romantic twist and I'm hooked.

Early on I began to create my own characters, spinning stories to express my dreams or to imagine fantastic experiences. Writing has always been a part of my life, but mostly I wrote for myself. Recently I decided to start sharing my stories with others. I'd been working on a fantasy romance off and on for a couple of years and decided to move it into a full-fledged novel series.

I published Psyche Moon last July and uploaded Psyche Honor this week. The twists and turns in Sadie and Billie's life and relationship are getting exciting! I'm anxious to share it.

I live a simple life, and that's exactly how I like it. Friends, family, art, writing, and community are my world. If I've been sitting at the computer for too long, my cat lays on my arms and growls at my twitching fingers. Billie's home is decorated with pieces inspired by local artists who have inspired me. I enjoy herbs and herb lore and spend time in the deserts and mountains around me. If you want to know how I feel about the wilds, look through Billie's eyes. She got it from me.

I really, really like this series.
I can see that not everybody found this books as awesome as I did, but I love them.
The characters are great, except Richard, he got on my last nerve. Sadie and Billie are the perfect mates and all the other packmates bring a certain uniqunes to the story. The way the wolwes and mages were described was so interesting and original and the plot was engaging and I could not put the books down.
Realy I have nothing bad to say about this series, except maybe "Where the hell is book 4 !?"
I thought this was trilogy so I came into this expecting a closure by the end of book 3, but now I am dying here, wanting to know what happens next.
If there is ANY way I could get book 4, please let me know, I would greatly appricate it.

This is a great continuation of the Psyche Moon series. I was sucked right back in and eagerly waiting for the next! I can't wait to see what new twists and turns she will bring us.

Psyche Shield failed to hold my interest. I somehow stomached through the second book but it's as far as I can get with all the pacing issues as well as plot holes. The author often tells and repeats the same thing but barely shows them in action, secondary characters are introduced but barely ever, if ever brought up again, backstory is teased but never uncovered or elaborated, important plot points introduced and forgotten with no relevance to the story as a whole. On top of all that the sex scenes are uninspired and a chore to get through and there's quite a lot of those in these books.

I fail to see why these books are so highly rated. They don't do anything original, nor they do it better than others. It's as generic as it gets.

Overall a good book with some caveats:
The pace is a little too slow, some of the scenes seem like fillers. The book is a little too touchy feely, I feel your pain. On a personal level I do not go for this noble werewolf, pack hierarchy crap, little too much like sparkly vampires for my taste, we are talking solitary monsters here not the local bridge club.
Love the FF couple at the center of it all, gets rid of a loot of the macho bullshit you often see in werewolf boos
Good series - when is the next one due?

If you haven't read the previous two books, then go and read it. This is unlikely a standalone.

I felt the hatred and distrust toward Sadie to be somehow a little over-reacted, knowing that if she really wanted to harm them, she would do it by now. I understand that it is nerve-wrecking to be near someone who could control your mind without much effort.

For example, if I am roommate with a serial killer, I'm not allow to change room, not allow to step outside, I would act the same way as the wolves every night I sleep in that same room with said killer.

What I want to say is, at one point, I wouldn't careless anymore. Because I can't do anything, can't fight it, can't escape it, and that serial killer want my trust. The truth is, if the killer really don't want to harm me, they wouldn't, if they want to, whether I trust the killer or not, it doesn't make any differences. So there's no point for me to be paranoid (but I doubt in real life, it is hard to stay calm when something could kill/ control you at any moment, whether you realize your effort is futile or not)

But then, I'm glad that the wolves' treatment toward Sadie did improved a whole lot at the end.

I actually like the first two books better, I think most of it had something to do with the romance between Sadie and Billie. In the third book, the romance dropped drastically, other than Sadie and Billie connection through mindspeech, their comfort words toward each other, a little bit of their intimate moments, I didn't feel it as much as the first or second.

Other than those minor criticism above, I think the book is very great. The whole series is great, especially the concept and plotline. This is the first time I read three books within two days. I never notice how much of a bookworm I am until now. I definitely looking forward to the fourth one.
