I'm sorry but I tried, I swear I did, I didn't want to think that I had two books back to back that I couldn't get through.
This went from like 0 to 60 in a flash. I pushed on since I couldn't really give up after the first chapter. I can appreciate a insta-relationship, but it was the combination of the insta-ness, the bad boy CEO billionaire theme, and a heroine that says one thing but does another that didn't work for me. Her position at the company was questionable for the very beginning, and for her to accept it just because didn't really earn her any respect from me. Sex forever on their mind... In short this is another one that didn't personally work for me, and after a few too many eye rolls I knew it was time to quit.

Well.....
When I read the book blurb to Heat, I was pleasantly intrigued. It promised to be a bit dark and everything hot. Unfortunately, none of that was delivered for me.
Every erotica cliche that is out there is in this book.
Let me count the ways-
1- Rich yet young billionaire CEO
2- Meak woman enters for job interview. Gets hired after basically two or so questions. Her name, her age. Asks her to stand. Asks her to sit. You're hired. Hmm
3- Hired position is for his assistant aka his submissive.
4- Gay BFF roommate
5- Hero has mother issues
6- Every annoying endearment known to man. Pet, Kitten, Angel
Anything ringing a bell here? It's a complete blend of FSoG and B2U without near the plot. Just sex, sex, and a side of sex. Heroine has a past boyfriend who clearly abused her as a submissive. He's actually just getting out of prison. That's all we're told. So, would it be smart to enter into a D/s relationship with a complete stranger that has a horrible media reputation of being a dark, secretive man? Better yet, when the Devin flashbacks come, she begs him to fuck her, fuck her HARD. Hurt me! Yah... No. I'm no psychologist but this screams inconsistent survivor behavior.
So, the theme is pretty much back to back slapping uglies. So if that's your cuppa, this is your book!
In fact, upon inspection, the word fuck or fucking was found in this book 188 times!
Anywho. The plot is way too inconsistent, the character development almost nonexistent and the overall plot is entirely overused.
As a side note- I'm not sure who the dapper fella is on the cover. The hero is tattooed with a barbell in his eyebrow with gauges in his ears. I may see a shadow of the neck tat, however.

I feel bad bailing on this so early, but it's doing nothing for me. I'm not connecting to the characters; I keep reading about their 'connection' yet I'm not feeling it so the insta lust they have going on is leaving me cold. On top of all of that, the echoes of fifty shades and Crossfire are too obvious to ignore. As much as I love those books, I'm craving a more original twist on that whole billionare Dom plot.
I thought this was going to be an affair with the boss story, where the boss is a hugely successful, bad boy Dom, but in the little that I read, her boss, Parker seems to have hired her expressly so that he can play with her and that feels kinda creepy rather than hot to me.
I can see lots of people have enjoyed this one though so it's probably me.

5 Heat filled stars!
J.M. Walker is one of my new favourite BDSM romance authors. This is a new to me author but in so glad I gave this book a chance.
Parker Reed is all kinds of wonderful. He's a smart, incredibly sexy Dom with a dark side.
I loved this book. The sex was super hot and became more kinky as the book went on. The last 25% of this book was super exciting and it become more like romantic suspense.
I'd love to read more in this series and by this author.

I was given an ARC by the author for an honest review.
Okay first off, this book was sex sex sex! Lots of sex, so if you like that you'll love this book. Unfortunately, I'm not so into that. I feel like there are books out there about sex with a story in it & then there are stories with sex scenes in them, if that makes sense lol. I felt that this one was one of those sex with a story book. Which there is nothing wrong with that for those who like it, just not my cup of tea.
The story itself I loved!
There were a few things about Keely that did annoy the hell out of me at first but towards the end it all made sense. I don't want to say what they were because I don't know if it will accidentally give anything away so I'll just stay quiet. I will say though that the "pet" & "little one"nickname killed me, lol I didn't like it but it was their thing so that made it cute.
I did not expect the book to go in the direction it did. I thought it was going to be so predictable because I feel like I've read so many stories where the male character is so young, rich & powerful and oh here comes this average girl getting a job at his company, but boy was I wrong! & I'm glad I was because damn it was good. This book was intense, had lots of drama and action.
Oh & I absolutely love Parker Reed!! <3 <3 <3
I will definitely be following this series and reading more from this author.

Please Note that this book is pretty dark and contains a lot of abuse. Not for faint heart. This book has a lot of insight into BDSM/ Shibari and Kinbaku
I read the Blurb of this book and I knew I had to read it. This is the 1st book of the Author I have read and I must say its a well written book ^^
Parker : Loving/Tattooed/Dom/Protective/Fierce/Alpha/Master
I loved the way Parker is characterized in this book. He is such an amazing hero full of warmth but beware ladies a Dom to the core ;)
The scenes between Parker and Keely are so amazing it made me droooooool *swallowing my drool back* ;)
He hires her to be his assistant but when he meets her for the 1st time knows that she is a broken women who needs a Dom to help her heal her soul ^^. Their story brought me to tears at times when he cradles her through her tough times.
He is strict but is also very giving. The way he soothes her is so beautiful that it made me want to hug Parker and look into his eyes and look at his soul and know he is such an amazing person ^^
Keely : Vulnerable/Beautiful/Strong/Sub/Loyal/Best Hacker/Slave
She has been through so much that I feel so sad for her. At the age of 16 she made a mistake of falling in love with Devin who abused her, used her, tortured her to such extent that she could not be truly free from any of the abuse she faced even after she put him behind bars.
Years later when she is finally with Parker where they both want to move ahead with their lives, Devin finds her and haunts her.
This book is full of twist and turns which keeps this book interesting ^^
But towards the end of this book what Devin does to Keely makes me hurt for her. And Parker... he is there for her, to pick up the pieces again to help her and make her a strong women.

This book is fucking ridiculous I wanted to rip my hair off. Since this book's gotten so many rave reviews, I'm guessing this will be one of those unpopular opinion. Meh. Sorry not sorry.
I'm gonna have to be clear here: I didn't finish this one. There's only so much bullshit I can take. First of all, the characters' insta attraction is fucking ridiculous! Real talk. Hands down ridiculous.
This book started with our girl, Keely who was interviewing for a job at Reed Industries , which was a stupid interview by the way. He asked her name and preceded to order her to stand and sit and bam! She was hired. Apparently he liked the submissiveness in her. Whatever. Keely was practically salivating for Reed the second she laid her eyes on him. -eye rolls-
After that so-called interview, she went hom to her, very gay, roommate and he started warning her against working with Reed. Keely being dumb as she was, stormed out of the apartment and practically ran into Reed! Suprise, surprise!
He then took her out to this sandwich place and they had a mini makeout. Yadda, yadda.

This is the first book that I'm reading from this author. I have some of her other books.
But... I just hope they are not like this book...
Wow...
First thing that came to my mind when I started reading this book was that it reminded me so much of Fifty Shades Of Grey. (A little... But way more darker)
The author didn't mess around with the timeline either.
Keely meets Parker Reed in a job interview... Then like two hours later she was already fighting her feeling for him!!!
I mean... I'm all for instant love... But... I want the main characters to work for it just a little! And that's only 4% into the book.
I guess I would be ok with this whole scenario of instant love if they had met at a party or club or bar.
Where instant attraction flirting a little & witty little comeback's between both main characters would be expected.
It all just seems too cold.
I would expect how fast they got together coming from a little novella a short story but not a novel.

Keeley and Parker's character just didn't do it for me. They just felt so cold and impersonal. I absolutely hate it how he called her "pet" in front of other people. I felt like that should've been between them and kept for their private moments.
The book was kind of choppy did not flow easily. And there really wasn't a lot of details in a lot of the events that went on in this book.

If you love a man that just oozes male dominance... and embodies the true meaning of an alpha male then this book is a must read!!
This book jumps right into the story from the very first page. There was no slow escalation which I truely appreciated. This story has so many different twists and turns, it always leaves you guessing as what is going to happen; and wow the storyline I never would of expected it to go in that direction.
Keely and Parker are two truely remarkable people and I am so happy that they found each other in this book. They are two broken souls that are trying to heal and they find out that to heal they need the other one more then they wanted to admit. There are many bumps in their relationship.. both their pasts colliding with their present to taint their future; but in the end will their love overcome??? You will have to read to find out.
I am so looking forward to the next book and to see in what direction these two take and what obsticals they will have to endure and or overcome together or seperetly.

This author did something to me that doesn't happen to often in this genre, if at all. I got teary. I felt ever pain the main characters were going through like it was my own, which left me on an emotional roller coaster. I was wanting my own Parker Reed from the very beginning. I had to finish this in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. Now that doesn't mean I wasn't screaming and having melt downs. Maybe even the odd hate mail to the author :P What can I say the emotions got to me and hate was definitely used. I hated the ending, not because it wasn't amazing. BUT because I have to wait for her to finish writing book two! When this book goes live, scoop it up and read it right away bump all your other reads because just like me once you start you will be wanting your very own Parker Reed.

For starters I very much enjoyed this book, as a lover of BDSM stories this one did not disappoint. The scenes were hot and it was clear the author did some research into the lifestyle.
The storyline itself was very good, it was hot and intense yet the unexpected twist will keep you guessing…
It was focused around Keely Price and Parker Reed. Keely has escaped an abusive relationship and was rebuilding her life…insert Parker Reed, the owner of the company in which she has a job interview. The immediate attraction was a given, he is hot, tattooed, pierced and not at all what you would expect from a man who runs a million dollar company. They cannot resist each other and he vows that with BDSM he will tear down the walls she has built from her previous life, she instantly submits…
OK…my issue #1….she literally submits immediately-to a stranger…. Yes the attraction was intense and immediate (hell I wanted to lick him myself) but I enjoy a little work up to the first scene please….. It was just a little too quick for my liking….
There are so many twist and turns in this story, expect the unexpected for sure….
The ex returns and makes life hell….
Of course Parker doesn’t ‘do relationships’ but he wants to own Keely, and she definitely wants to be owned. Parker is very experienced in the BDSM lifestyle and the book follows the journey of his teaching Keely.
My issue #2….kneeling at his feet….EEK! I just cannot wrap my head around it….
My issue #3…. While most of this book was well written, there were parts that felt rushed…really rushed, and I was like WTF how did we get there??!!
It is hard to explain much wo giving away the true plot BUT it was totally unexpected and it is a CLIFFHANGER.
I will definitely read the next book not only because I need to know how it ends but because the scenes are TOTALLY HOT.

First I would like to say that this is the first book I read from this author and I am not the least bit disappointed. I enjoyed this book starting from beginning to end. I just couldn't seem to find myself putting it down!!
This one was a little different for me. It might have been the sexy millionaire but he was different, very different. When do you read a book that has a tattooed pierced alpha millionaire??? Never, at least I haven't. You usually find those in rocker books. But I was highly impressed and found this interesting.
Parker Reed was a man who has secrets. He's also sexy, moody, rich and did I mention HOT, oh yeah but I said sexy (same thing right)! He owns Reed Industries and he worked hard to get his own company started. Yeah, he is young and he still managed to start his own company. Now he has people trying to destroy him and his company and he needs to find out who and why.
Keely Price is a woman who has a pretty f*cked up past. Her ex tries to destroy her in any way possible and that's why she has left him and did what she had to do in order to get away from him. Now she is with Parker and together they try and fix each other, they fit perfect. Keely is a smart girl and she is trying to help Parker in trying to figure out who's trying to destroy him.
This book has a lot of sex but it also has a story line. It will captivate you and you will not want to put it down.
I am anxiously awaiting for the 2nd book and I can't wait to read it!! The suspense is killing me now!

Scorching hot! Parker Reed is a filthy mouthed, tatted up, green eyed Alpha and he is perfect! Jm Walker has the best love scenes in all of her books, but this one was off the charts hot! Keely and Parker's chemistry jumped right off the pages. This is a very intricate story and it has many twist, turns, and plenty of angst, this is not for the faint of heart! Keely's indecisiveness worked my nerve a bit, but by the end of the book I was starting to understand her better. And I know you are supposed to hate the bad guy, but, I gotta say Damian is very intriguing, I would love to see more of him. I really enjoyed this book, and I'm looking forward to what is next for Keely and Parker.

This is the first book I have read by this author and my first impression regarding this story was a little conflictive to say the least. I carried on reading. Fortunately, the plot is a solid one. I give a lot of importance to this as too many steamy scenes, and believe me when I say they abound; tend to bore me. Is this the case? Read on! Her characters’ personalities are strong, the setting is perfect, and even though I found the storyline a little repetitive at times, I liked it.
Keely. Despite annoying the hell out of me, her submissive tendencies were quite comprehensible. You’ll find out why she is like she is by reading on. An abusive relationship which started when she was in her teens has marked her for life. She breaks away from this and decides it’s about time to make a living. Look for a job. She can’t keep living under the wing of her bestie, Apart from being gay, Troy has been her salvation. Not only has he looked out for his dearest friend, his concern, his sense of humour, and his spontaneous quirky remarks, had me laughing out loud. A true friend. The banter between the two is well described and if anyone in this book made me say “chapeau”, it was definitely him.
The first electrical spark between the two protagonists is to be the backbone in this novel. Keely felt it as soon as she timidly walked into an interview for the job as personal assistant to Parker Reed. His savvy at such a young age had made him one of the most important entrepreneurs in the cut- throat business of wheeling and dealing. He is demanding. She realises this without a blink of an eye and complies; hardly any questions are asked. Blinking heck—this man is so Alpha that the pages lit up! Drop dead gorgeous, tattoos, piercings and rippling muscles are in all the right places, and will certainly have you grabbing for your fan. And if you haven’t got one…! He doesn't have to convince Keely to his modus vivendi either. He wants her; she is inquisitive. She wants to please this man who has bombarded her feelings. Problem number one is her ex. Problem number two is she’s not forthcoming with a secret that could ruin a beautiful relationship. Say no more!
Let’s get back to Parker! He is a man who has had a past. His present is in danger and the last person that one would think could help him is Keely. She is a dab hand in hacking, and Parker’s minions trust her. Why? Because his word is law, his intuition and feelings for this beautifully damaged girl, stronger. The BDSM scenes were written with utmost detail, but spoilt by Parker’s endearments towards Keely which I found irritating. His protectiveness towards her comes over to the reader so very loud and clear that it made me wonder why there was so much fuss at the beginning of the story. I loved how Parker constantly warns her about his likes and dislikes, and the ending; phew! Never in a million years, was I ready for it!
A message to the author. There is no doubt whatsoever that you know how to dangle the carrot. If I have knocked off a star and a half, it’s because your brill plot didn't need so much hot, steamy sex. It could have been so much more regardless.

I received this book by the Author for an honest review.
I love JM Walker’s work. I have read most everything she has written and she has never let me down. I was hooked from the beginning and I had a tough time putting it down. Between the Dominant Alpha Male and the broken female I had to know what was going to happen between them. These two were the perfect match you would think she needed him to fix her but he needed her just as much.
Keely Price had a horrible past and she was finally moving on. She was living her best friend, Troy, and had an interview at Reed Industries. To say this was a strange interview would be an understatement. She was interviewing to be the assistant to the one and only Parker Reed. She blew off all the warnings Troy gave her about working for Mr. Reed.
Parker realized from the interview that Keely submitted to him without even thinking. They begin a relationship and Parker introduces her to the BDSM world. Things are not always easy for these two because of Keely’s past she has triggers but Parker is good at being a Dom and sees it quickly and counters it. Parker can be the Dominate Alpha male but he also pulls it in and doesn’t force Keely to tell him things he lets her tell him in her own time, although this doesn’t always work out for the best.
There are so many things going on in this book and a few twists that I was a little shocked at. I cannot say too much about the book because of spoilers. But when things start coming out it is like a never ending waterfall of things. I will say the chemistry between Parker and Keely is amazing and you see it from their first “date” all the way to the end of the book. There were some moments in the book were I was shocked and couldn’t believe what I was reading. I felt like Keely was my friend and I need to be in the book sitting next to her holding her right beside Troy.
I even found myself drawn to the side characters in this book; there is Troy, Patrick, Liz and Aidan. There is just something about these four Troy and Patrick are great together and l love how open and accepting everyone is toward them. Liz and Aidan have that on again off again relationship. I love that Liz could possibly become a great friend to Keely she so needs more great friends in her life after what she has been through.
I enjoyed this book there twists and things that I didn’t see coming. To see Keely be able to overcome what she endured in the past and trust someone not to hurt her again was remarkable. HOLD. THE. PHONE!! This book was hawt and sooo rawr worthy because Parker Reed is some kinda broken alpha male. *wipes brow* Man oh Man, did he make my heart jump and make my panties explode. He is soooo delicious that if you like erotica then this is a jackpot for you.
Parker Reed is a player, player, player. He plays for him and doesnt really care about the woman. They are basically there to serve him. Hey, he doesnt feel the slightest bit bad either becauase all these woman just want the eye candy that he is OR the money attached to his credit cards. Our sweet little Keely shows up for a job interview. Parker is stunned stupid by how completely submissive she is. He hired her after asking her to stand and then sit....no joke!! LOL
The two have an instant chemistry and they dont really try to fight it even though she is his "personal assitant". They spend alot of time talking (well and other things too) but Keely gets to know Parker. He also does something he never thought he would....trust a woman!!!
Well as the story goes, Parker knows Keely is hiding something. The secret she spills about her past was a WHUT!!!!! and OMG!!! and then HOLY CRAP!! But later secrets she spills because her ex Devin force her to spill, send Parker spiraling out of control. The two end up seperate but missing the other totlly and completely.
While all of their relationship drama is happening, we are wondering about Keely's not good guy ex Devin PLUS someone is trying to steal from our Parker.....WOW alot for a couple to take on. The ending chapters of the book I was sooooooooooo mad at Parker and soooooooooooo sad for Keely but more revalations are made and OMG this book just gets deeper. The epilogue was heart stopping and I even yelled at JM about it. I made her promise me that she is working on book 2 because the ending was just ...............i dont even have words for it..............it was just that insane, amazing, epic., twisted, etc!

I just finished Heat and I just loved it! If you know J.M. Walker than you know that she can write some hot men (Brett for the Torn Series was my fav of hers) For me though, Parker was one of the hottest most sexiest man that I have read about and I think I am in love!! Keely has some secrets but she has to move on in her life so she goes for an interview at Reed Industries. She has the interview with the man himself. Parker Reed highers her on the spot. She doesn't understand why and doesn't question it at first but now things have progressed very quickly between them. What we find out is that they both have secrets, some predictable, some not. You just have to read and see how this story turns out.
I loved it! It has so much going for it. A good plot, good characters, and mystery. It to me was just amazing and I am so glad that I was able to read it. Miss Walker has a way of writing her characters that you are totally there with them. You care about what happens to them. You wanna smack them when they are being douches. You just care and I love how she does that for me.
Parker is so my man. I will fight any chick here to the end to make him mine! (JK) He is so freaking sexy, domineering but sweet when he needed to be. He really understands Keely and tries everything in his power to help her. He just wants to fight her battles. Keely is such a sweet girl. You feel bad for her when you find things out and you just want nothing but the best for her. She really tries and I can understand her hesitation but love how she wants to take the jump, she just needs a strong reliable man in her corner and I truly feel she finds that in Parker. What I love most about these two, is that even though they both have secrets, they honestly both need each other to heal. They have light and then they have dark sides (who doesnt??) and they need each other to heal what was broken.
You just have to get this. For me it just gets better and better and I so cannot wait for more!!

OMG!! I am hereby staking my claim on PARKER REED!!! Yep its official..He's mine!! I loved this book from the first page. JM Walker can certainly write a fabulous dynamic alpha male. This story drove me nuts with anticipation on what was going to go down next. I couldn't put the book down. I loved the excitement and whirl wind guessing I was doing the whole time I was reading it. Of course, I was wrong most of the time. LOL. That just goes to attest to JM Walkers ability to allure her readers into a fabulous journey.

I can't tell you much more with out giving away the story but I can say..YOU WILL BE BEGGING FOR MORE!!
Let's talk about the chemistry of these two for just a second...SO DAMN SEXY AND HOT HOT HOT!! The sex scenes were melting. I was hanging on to every command and demand he was speaking to Keely. There was some very intense scenes in this book that just left me panting!! I loved it. JM Walker just knows how to HEAT up her readers with her characters for sure.
Now on to the end....I mean "Really???" I was so unprepared for it and was just left with my jaw dropped. I never saw that coming. Those last few chapters will leave you on the edge of your seat. This is what I love about the book. I love a book that will take you on that roller coaster ride of emotions and just leave you floored with all the twists you manage to get tangled in. I can't wait for more! So if you are looking for a hot adventurous read then this book is guaranteed to supply it. So don't miss this one you may just regret it!!

OH MY LORD!!!! Could there be a better title for this book? I don't freaking think so!
This is absolutely by far the best work to date by J.M and that's saying an awful lot as I absolutely devour all of her books!
This book was SO insanely hot I wouldn't have been able to put it down if I wanted too! However it wasn't just a really good sexy story but so much more than that!
The plot line behind this story will leave you reeling! You will never in your wildest dreams be able to guess how it ends, and with the amount of good books out there now a days that's saying an awful lot!
Then we have the characters, oh the characters. Why oh why can't Parker Reed be real? By far one of my all time favorite book boyfriends EVER! If I could trade my husband in right now for him I can easily say I would in a heart beat! Then you have the female main character. Well lets just stay she may start off weak but the growth that goes into this character is amazing. I was absolutely blown away by the turn around she is able to make.

Heat was HOT! This book was recommended by a blogmate from TaSTy Wordgasms and she told me that Heat was a MUST read. Heat was not an ARC, I bought it and it still received an honest review. I loved Parker's & Keely's story! There were a couple of shocking moments that I did not see coming. No I won't tell you what they were because then this review would contain spoilers which it does not. Keely is submissive from the first meeting with Parker and Parker is a very sexy, tattooed & pierced hunk of a man. There is a lot of sex in "Heat" and has a BDSM theme. There were some very hot sexy scenes played out in Heat. Definitely a cliffhanger at the end of this book and it leaves you wanting more! Fortunately I don't have to wait to long until Edge comes out in December.

Her latest book HEAT is fantastic. Yet another book I couldn't put down but didn't want it to end either *sobbing dramatically.
The title HEAT says it all as it's sizzling HOT. Gripping & amazing. The twists and turns in this book leave you gasping & on the edge of your seat!

This book has been the death of me. I need book two NOW!
J.M. Walker told me I would fall in love with Parker Reed by the end of this book and I DID with no regrets, like a good little pet would do.
I can't tell you how much I loved this book.
But I felt like this book was way to similar to Bared To You and Raw. The plot wasn't original but I still loved it, it pulled me in page after page.
Also I felt like this was insta-love, it moved a little to fast for my liking but I'm not complaining because the sex scenes were HOT. This was my second book by J.M.Walker that I extremely liked.
But I swear this book should be turned into a movie, I need to be played out onscreen

Holy hotness, I didn't want to put this book down, I needed it, I devoured it! You need to read it and fall in love with Parker Reed and all his alpha dominating hotness.
Keely applies for a job she may have zero qualifications for or even know what the job entails but she needs a job and a paycheck and Reed Industries is the perfect place to start. What she doesn't know is Parker Reed will change her life in more ways then one.
Parker is a beautifully broken man who everyone thinks they know but no one ever really does. When Keely enters his life he begins to question the way he swears he's been programmed to run. Can they repair each other or will the past break the future before it starts?

All I'm going to say is HOT! I love Parker Reed! We've got lots of twist and turns during this story that had you guessing what was going to happen. Then chemistry between Parker and Keely is just plain hot. You could tell from the start it was going to fast and strong. The sex scenes had me fanning myself and putting the book down for a second to get it together. I truly love Author J.M. Walker work and will continue to read and support her always. I can't wait for the second book to come out. Thanks again J.M. Walker for a hot, sexy and down right good book. Go pick it up I promise you will not be disappointed at all.

This story was somewhat dark, heart wrenching, and yet uplifting. The characters are complex, secretive, and passionate. They have dark and sordid pasts, but are determined to be each other’s light. I love the support structure that Keely and Troy have with each other. The story has several twists that I did not see coming. Parker is an enigma to me. He is unlike most characters I read about. You can’t help but feel drawn to Keely. I am very excited to see where this story will lead these characters.
This is my first J M Walker novel but will not be my last.

This book was amazing. It's hard to put down because you want to keep reading to see how Parker and Keely find their way with each other. You can feel the emotions while reading. Parts of this book will pull very hard on you heart. Absolutely LOVEed every minute. Great read.
