I'm a retired Registered Nurse who loves to write. I have 16 published novels; 3 medical thrillers( Rebirth & Murder by Proxy, Behind Prison Bars) 2 romantic thrillers (The Turquoise Cross & Connections) and 11 James Ford detective mysteries (Toxic Blood, Finding the Lost Ones, Cold-blooded Revenge, Greed & Lies, His Haunted Past, Death of Dreams, Thieves, Hidden Mysteries, Hidden Treasures, Stranger Than Fiction, & The Fire). My books are available as hardback, soft cover and e-books through amazon.com. Some of them are audio books. I write about my own experiences as a nurse blending actual fact with fiction to create page-turning stories. I have worked in hospitals in Obstetrics & NICU, at a women's prison, at a dialysis clinic and have taught at a nursing school. My 2 nonfiction books include information about the the story of caring for my mother with dementia (Navigating the Fog of Dementia ) and a Family history genealogy.
My stories do not contain graphic sex as I want my granddaughters to be able to read my works, but some of them are PG-14. They contain mysteries, love stories, murders, mayhem and excitement.
"Finding the Lost Ones" by Sandra L. Olson is the story of James and Lacey, who must work together to help save their kidnapped friend Margaret Krane, who also does facial reproductions for the police. The characters in this story are relate-able so you can feel their emotions and their reactions are genuine. There were some real unexpected twists and turns. You will end up really pulling for the characters. I love that the people all have flaws, they make mistakes and they make you feel something for them. The author's well-researched and plausible scenario keeps the reader engaged at all times. Sandra, you did a great job! Thank you!
The medical element to the author's murder mysteries add an intriguing dimension. The characters are well developed. The woman are strong and intelligent. The story lines twist to keep the reader's interest.
The story kept you wanting to read more. It was interesting reading about reconstructing a head from a skull. I will definitely read more from this author.
By Genell Reed on March 30, 2015 Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase I've read lots of Iris Johansen's forensic sculptor's series. This book shows an updated method to recreating a face with only a skull. Great story line. A joy to read. I would highly recommend it to everyone. A good clean story, no violence, no sex, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
