She gets her life together or so she thinks, only to find herself knocked down again and again. When she is old enough to take care of herself, she strikes out on her own looking for revenge for her family member's death. After she finds out that her family may have lost their lives due to the drug game, she jumps in the drug world head first, in search of the person responsible for their deaths. Shi, as she is called finds herself married to the man who could be responsible for her whole family being murdered.. You can't help but feel for Shi, praying that she finally finds the happiness she deserve. She has to make some hard decisions and difficult choices. There are a lot of plot twist here that keep you turning the page.
The characters are believable and draw you in to their world. I can't help but wonder if the author wrote from personal experience. The storyline is well constructed and follows a well defined time line.
This is the first writing project for this author and has excellent potential. There were editing problems, but I still would recommend this book to readers. Overall, I give this book three and half stars. With proper editing I would give it a four.
I could just lay down and die when I picked this book up. Oh, lawrd. Whoever, Jasheem Wilson is and where ever he came from, he is the truth for this book. I saw nothing but raw talent when I read this one. This book made me laugh and cry and lose a whole weekend worth of sleep. I bought this book on Friday night, finished by 6 in the morning and was buying his second book. I wish I could give you 10 stars...
Wow I don't think I could of survived all the things Shi went through in her life and she was so young when everything happened. Spin is just grimey & I hope he get what he deserved. King and Shi need to get back together. Vicki is sneaky I can't see how Shi isn't picking up on it. I love the B.I.T.C.H women
How much can a little girl take before going crazy. This was a story full of twists and turns throughout the whole book. It held my attention and definitely kept me guessing. Such a tragic story that touched me in a way I haven't felt in a king time. Great read!!!
This book right here. You have to be from EPA to understand. This book took me all the way back. I was waiting to here something about day and night, ValuMax and Giorgios.and let’s not forget good ol Drew Medical. With every page I had a visual. This book is amazing can’t wait to read book two!!!!
Enjoyed the storyline very interesting most definitely will be reading the sequel because I’m interested to see the fate for T money and Shi . I gave the book four stars because the beginning gave us a prologue that they never came back too and I really don’t understand why that was done and didn’t bring us back.
Life have away that it can be good one moment and shity the next I felt so sorry for shi it hurt to see her in so much pain life change her to end right were it started love this book
I really enjoyed reading this book. It took me on a journey and I really felt like I was going through the situation with the character. Great book....
This was my first read by this author but it won't be my last. I was hooked from the very beginning. Shi endured a lot in her young life. Losing her family in such a horrible way. Then moving somewhere she didn't want to be. I was shocked when her and Dr. Richards became close, yet loved it because they helped one another out through there heartache and pain. Vicky was Shi's only true friend unfortunately horrible circumstances happened that made her avoid her friend as well as her friends father. I'm confused on why T-Money so angry at Spin, there beef is crazy. Plus the truth behind Freeman and etc made my draw drop. I can't wait until part two, because I know Shi and King well be victorious. This an great read
I was feeling this book but it began to bore me during Shi's stay. It was suspenseful and had you wondering what happened to her brother. I didn't like the high school part and Shi selling drugs. I understand that was supposed to bring her to her father TMoney. Was he her dad or not. Not sure if I will get the other books in this series.
This series is great. This is my first time reading a book by this author and definitely won't be my last time. I can't put this series down. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just started part 3. OMG.
Slow moving but good. It looks like it's about to pick up now. I'm ready for some action. Hopefully this was just setting the tone. Just when it was getting good, it ended. But it kept me interested enough to see how it turns out.
Great book couldn't put it down. I started in the morning and finished that night. Not much into cliff hangers but it kept me interested the whole book with all its twist and turns. Can't wait to start the next one.
Totally got right into this book. Storyline great so much back story. Characters well written. Could relate to the tragedy because was so real. I will definitely read pt 2. Must read
I have never read so many chapters in one book before, but I couldn't put it down. Every chance I got I was reading this book just to see what was going to happen next.
I finally understand what the title means... This book with the twists and turns keeps you sucked in! I cannot wait for part 2 to see how it plays out!
