He told me to stay away. Then he kissed me so hard I forgot my own name.
I was supposed to beat the storm. Not get smacked in the face by the lodge door—and him.
Wyatt Hayes. Ex-military. Ex-friend of my brother. Ex-everything.
We haven’t spoken in three years—not since the kiss that ruined everything. Now we’re snowed in, alone, and there's only one working mattress. No power. No way out. Just firelight, bad blood... and heat that never died.
He’s still bossy. Still broody. Still hotter than hell. And I’m still the girl who never learned how to stop wanting him.
But this time? I won’t beg. I won’t break. And I sure as hell won’t fall in love all over again.
The book I’m reviewing today is titled, Snowed In with My Ex which is a steamy snowbound romance with only one bed written by Ava Jackson. I enjoyed reading this forced proximity, second chance story. I was intrigued by the storyline of this book, it was entertaining and interesting. The characters were relatable and you could feel the tension and the chemistry between them.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have never read anything from this author before, but this book felt like it started in the middle of a book , there was to much information missing , to much hinted at . it was slightly irritating. Even for a short read there were huge parts missing . This would have made a fantastic full fledged book but no so !such for a short story
I didn't -not- enjoy this novella, but I do think it's still a work in progress. I'd like to see at least one of the 'I want to but I can't' scenes cut because it felt repetitive and then it needed more smut. One spicy scene for all that build up was not enough.
This is just okay. Nothing groundbreaking but a fun snowed in second chance romance for when you're short on time or just don't want to get into a book that's too long or too serious.
Ehh, could've used a lot more context regarding how the MC's met, got involved, and apparently ended off on a such a bad note. I feel like it was a major plot point to understand the major tension going on.
