What if the only man who made you feel safe… refused to show you his face?
Morgan thought betrayal would break her. Instead, it led her into the arms of a faceless protector—a man who rides like he’s running from something, touches like he’s memorizing her, and keeps his helmet on through everything.
She doesn’t know his name. She doesn’t know his story. But when he says, “You’re safe with me,” she believes him more than she ever believed her ex.
Now, she's unraveling everything she thought she knew about love, trust, and the thrill of falling for a man with a thousand shadows.
And when the mask finally comes off, the question is
D.V. Cole is the author of contemporary billionaire biker romances packed with characters you’ll swoon over and slow-burn spice that will leave you gasping for air. She lives somewhere between sweet tea and sass with her husband, four kids, two cats, three dogs, and a squad of ducks—and often escapes the madness by hiding in the bathroom with a good book. When she’s not writing, she’s usually reading or cooking something that may or may not get devoured before it cools.
There’s a lot to unpack here. While I think this book would make for a good movie, I felt detached from the characters. There were a number of inconsistent details in the story that really took me right out of the book. It was distracting to say the least. I wasn’t sure how the helmet plot line would play out.. it was kind of hot at first, then grew increasingly more annoying and eventually gave off serial killer vibes (I will concede that the scene against the window was insanely erotic). I can get behind getting to know and love someone beyond what they look like, but he didn’t really let her in at all. I get that Archer was scared to share who he was, I really do. But it seems highly arrogant to assume Morgan would even know who he was if she saw his face..
I liked Morgan but she didn’t seem to have any self preservation skills. She was upset about her boyfriend for all of two seconds before becoming obsessed with Archer. She let a strange man into her house and she was okay not knowing who he was or what he looked like?? And she didn’t want Tessa to figure out who he was?? At one point I thought this truly might turn into a horror story where she would turn up dead and in pieces somewhere.. A cautionary tale perhaps. A day or two of anonymity maybe isn’t so weird but beyond that, you have to wonder what is actually wrong with her and why he won’t show his face. At one point Morgan is moving? But then months later she lives with Archer? Where did she move? Also after the second break in they weren’t going to involve the police but then a detective calls her later to say she can go back into her apartment? And why did they break in at all? And why were they dressed in bike gear? A lot of pieces of this book just seemed to go nowhere unfortunately. And the eating scenes with the helmet.. there were so many!! I wanted to fucking scream!! Maybe find something else to do on a date.. super weird.
Archer had issues to work through, I can get on board with that. He made the wrong choices, he was scared, he’s human. He wanted someone to know him, not his corporate persona, I can appreciate that! What I will not stand for is a liar. Omitting is still lying!!! And he absolutely did lie to Morgan on several occasions and then gaslights her at the gala, yeah, fuck him. The sunglasses and gator covering were more believable than someone wearing a bike helmet around. I thought maybe that would just turn into a kinky thing, I did not anticipate him concealing his identity for so long. Also, the book seemed to hint that his profession or life in the public eye killed his parents and then it was never explained, super frustrating. How did his job lead to a car accident? And why was he so weird about Morgan seeing the rest of his apartment? It didn’t seem like there was anything to hide in the end. Also at one point he could only cook eggs and then at the end he was actually a whole ass chef.. what?
I think this book could use a good read through and edit but there was a lot to love about it. As a debut novel, this was really enjoyable! Morgan and Archer had an amazing connection, it was just so fast and while I am happy they worked it out, in the real world she would just be an idiot. Once a liar, always a liar, even if it’s not always malicious. Archer had supportive friends which is always nice to see. Morgan had an insightful and caring best friend. I love that Morgan went into conservation work, a girl after my own heart! I’m so happy that Archer could be open and honest so quickly after the gala. It was actually so sweet that Archer wanted to clear Morgan’s name so badly, he just should have been honest with her.
And girl.. THE SPICE WAS CHEF’S KISS!! Seriously, the blind fold was hot, the sex was erotic, I love that they both got tested before sex. Like fuck yes!!! And let’s talk about Archer’s tongue piercing.. what an unexpected and hot as fuck surprise!!! I have never kissed someone with a tongue piercing and now I need to immediately rectify that! Morgan getting a nipple piercing was also super hot! I don’t get why she only had one, but damn. The intimacy and soft moments were hands down the best part of the book. There were so many sweet moments and I’m here for it, I love them as a couple!! I loved the writing and the dialogue was great!! I can get behind a book that has zero cringe dialogue!!!
I hope I get to experience the rest of the series as an ARC reader. I really think this series could go from three stars to four for me with some more editing and detail consistency!! I’m not an insta lust girly so I hope we get some yearning in the other stories and maybe less drama..

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Readability: 📖📖📖📖 (this became more of a level 3 for me but I bumped it up because I was really interested in the first quarter of the book Feels: 🦋🦋🦋 Emotional Depth: 💔💔💔 Sexual Tension: ⚡⚡⚡ Romance: 💞💞💞💞 Sensuality: 💋💋💋💋 Sex Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑🍑 (for most – they get a bit shorter as the book goes on) Steam Scale (Number of Sex Scenes): 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Humor: A touch Perspective: third person from both hero and heroine More character focused or plot focused? character How did the speed of the story feel? slow to medium When mains are first on page together: very soon in, chapter 1 (of 29) Cliffhanger: No, this ends with a happily ever after Epilogue: Yes, 6 months later Format: voluntarily read an advanced reader copy in e-book form from the author Why I chose this book: I came across one of the author’s posts for ARC readers on Tiktok and it looked like something I would love Mains: Morgan Reeves and Archer Sullivan – This is a M/F relationship between a cishet hero and heroine (Descriptions found at end of my review)
Should I read in order? This is DV Cole’s debut and the first in the series.
Basic plot: Morgan is curious about the masked biker that comes to her rescue after a cheating boyfriend breakup.
Give this a try if you want: - contemporary romance - biker hero - he’s tall – a little over 6’ - billionaire hero – he has built a security company from the ground up - secret identity – from him - former military hero - heroine works in marketing and design - he writes her little love notes - tattooed hero - hero has a tongue piercing 👀 - you want super strong consent – this her is still asking at 92% in - higher steam – 5ish full scene with plenty of blindfolding
Ages: - Didn’t catch either mentioned
First line: The keys in Morgan Reeves’ purse jangled like tiny alarm bells as she dropped her massive black handbag onto the entryway table.
My thoughts: I was so intrigued by the premise of this one! I was hoping I would really adore this one – and it had a lot of elements that I did like. I love the idea of a hero with his tongue pierced – I need more of this has a former tongue piercing owner 😂. I loved the secret identity aspects and the blindfolding/mask wearing. I seriously adored that – being in my mask era for sure.
So what I didn’t love about this one was...the scenes seemed a little repetitive in some ways and they were awkward to me. I loved that the hero was trying to keep his identity secret but WHY were they eating so much together? How awkward is it to eat with a mask on? Like why was there so many scenes of them eating together. One is fine but then I started getting annoyed thinking about him having to wait to bite (and maybe this is just me thinking about how I scarf my food) but having him have to put his mask/helmet up while she looked away...I was just dreaming of them doing almost anything else. Go for a walk. Lol.
The consent is really, really strong in this one which is so great for those that desire that. But it got to a point where it was pulling me out of the scenes – he asks consistently and maybe it’s me coming off some darker reads it was just not what I was wanting. That’s on me of course!
I loved that it was third person – I would read so much more contemporary I think if it was third person.
I would definitely try more from this series, but I think I’ll reconsider my expectations and dive in at a later point. Definitely an author I plan on following though! I think I just was expecting some things a bit...darker and more aggressive?

Full break down on what my ratings above mean here: Overall: How I felt about it everything considered! Readability: How ‘readable’ was the book? Did I fly through it? Did I have to tell myself to pick it back up repeatedly? Were any passages confusing? (I will probably score like (1) is literally unreadable due to formatting/typing errors, etc (2) There were lots of errors that made it difficult to read OR It was extremely confusing and I had to reread passages to make sense of it OR I disliked it so much I had to bribe myself to keep reading (3) I didn’t really want to keep reading and would have preferred to abandon the read and start something else OR some minor continuity issues/confusion (4) I liked it fine, maybe a minor error or 2. I was happy to pick it up when I had time. (5) I never wanted to put this down. I thought about it when I wasn’t reading it. I hid in the bathroom from my kids to read. I threw inappropriate food at my children for dinner so I could read instead.) Feels: Totally subjective to each person but did the book give me any tingles? Any butterflies? Did it rip my heart out (in a good way?) Emotional depth: How well do I feel I know the characters at the end? How much did I feel their emotions throughout the story? Sexual tension: Again, subjective, but how strong was the wanting and longing to me between the characters? A book might have strong sexual tension without a single touch. Romance: Was there romance? Did romantic things happen? This can be actions/words/thoughts of the characters and again is subjective. Sensuality: This is how the intimate scenes are written. Kisses and sexual scenes – how sensual were they? Were they on the mechanical side? Was there emotional pull tied in? Were the details explicit or flowery? These are subjective but generally (1) too short to get a good judgment (2) not all what I'm looking for - very vague or flowery prose (3) either not explicit enough or not enough emotional pull (too mechanical/physically descriptive without the emotions) (4) what I love in a scene (5) absolute perfection - perfect balance of emotional longing and explicit descriptions Sex Scene Length: How long the bedroom scenes are (generally (1) is 1-3 sentences (2) is a few paragraphs to a page-ish (3) is about average, a few pages (4) more well developed scenes, quite a few pages with descriptions (5) the majority of the book takes place in the bedroom. This is always hard to tell for me on audio! Steam Scale: Generally, each flame is a scene. If scenes are super close together I sometimes combine them. If a scene is super short or so vague I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t count it. There’s some levels of grey but generally the number of flames is how many sex scenes there are (I max out at 5 so I’ll put a + after if there’s more than that)
This one is for the BookTok x BikeTok girlies. You won’t want to put this one down. Morgan and Archer have instant chemistry but it’s not quite love at first sight… More like love at first sassy comment??? The MMC is a mystery for most of the book, which I love. Yeah, we know who he is, and what he does, but we know nothing about his face. I almost wish we had more mystery and less revealed to us until the end, I think it would’ve made a more dramatic impact, but I still devoured it.
There were a couple of scenes in this book that confused me, and I prefer first person to third person so that’s why I took off a star. Even though I prefer first person, I still really enjoyed this third person book. In the middle of the book, it said that archer can’t cook anything but scrambled eggs without burning down the house, but then at the end of the book he’s making gourmet dinner meals for Morgan, like cooking is his “hidden talent.” I’m not sure if I missed something or that is a forgotten fact throughout the book, but it definitely threw me for a loop. I was also confused about why she was packing in the last chapter. She never says where she’s moving to, again, unless I miss something. Other than that, this book was super easy to fall into and picture in my mind.
I can’t wait for the other books in the series. It looks like we’re gonna go through all of archer‘s mysterious billionaire friends, and I’m so excited because we only got a taste of them in book one. I have no idea if they’re also going to be hiding their identity, and if they are, is it gonna be in the same way with the helmet? I have so many questions and I’m already coming up with crazy theories!
Faceless Devotion by DV Cole is an absolute knockout! From the very first page, you're pulled into a world of dark secrets, unspoken desires, and heartbreakingly human flaws. The way DV Cole weaves the chemistry between the characters is electric—raw, real, and messy in the best way. The heroine’s strength and vulnerability, paired with the brooding intensity of the love interest, creates a push-pull dynamic that had me hooked.
The emotional depth in this book is next-level. You feel every ache, every betrayal, every flicker of hope. And that plot twist? I had to sit my book down and just breathe.
If you’re into tortured hearts, obsession tangled with loyalty, and love that refuses to quit no matter how ugly things get—Faceless Devotion will absolutely consume you. DV Cole has delivered a gritty, passionate masterpiece. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time. 👏🔥📖
I was absolutely hooked the minute I started reading! I was so drawn in & the story line kept my attention the entire time reading! The way D.V Cole portrayed the characters in this book was absolutely wonderful! I definitely ship Morgan & Archer!! 😍😍 When I read a book I want to visualize every bit of it & she nailed that aspect for me! The spice AMAZING!!! 5 out of 5! The romance was great! I am excited for what comes next & cannot wait to read more!!! Thank you D.V for the amazing opportunity!!!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Faceless Devotion by D.V. Cole, and I went into it completely blind—no expectations, no spoilers. I ended up flying through it in under 24 hours. It’s one of those books that pulls you in right away and doesn’t let go.
The story follows our FMC, Morgan, who’s stuck in a draining job with a nightmare of a boss. Just when things couldn’t get worse, she walks in on her boyfriend cheating. But before he can talk his way out of it, a mysterious biker named Bullet steps in. What follows is a whirlwind romance filled with chemistry, intrigue, and one burning question: why won’t Bullet take off his helmet and reveal who he really is?
The pacing is spot on—no slow chapters, no filler—just a compelling, well-written ride from start to finish. The characters are fully developed, and D.V. Cole does a great job setting the scene and bringing emotion to the page.
While the book doesn’t dive too deep into heartbreak or angst, it’s a feel-good romance with a satisfying ending that leaves you smiling. If you’re looking for something to curl up with on a cozy weekend or rainy afternoon, Faceless Devotion is a perfect pick. I’d absolutely recommend it—and I’d gladly read it again.
Faceless Devotion by D.V. Cole releases August 15, 2025. Don’t miss it!
Thank you so much to D.V. Cole for the opportunity to read this ARC!
I devoured this book! It was such a cute story and I couldn’t put it down. I’ve read a lot of romance novels but this was my first time coming across an MMC who refused to show his face for over half the book! It got a little old, but I’ll forgive him - he’s got a tongue piercing 😉 There were a few confusing inconsistencies but I don’t think they impacted the overall story. The biking (enter, the motorcycle helmet) was a new book theme for me! Lots of emotionally intimate and romantic scenes + the spice was spicing! Great job for a debut novel! I can’t wait to read the next books in the series about Archer’s billionaire friends!
D.V. Cole did a phenomenal job with this book. The depth given to both the main characters—MMC and FMC—as well as the side characters, was truly impressive. Each character felt fully developed and brought something meaningful to the story. I especially appreciated that by the end, everything felt complete—no loose ends, no lingering questions. It was a satisfying, well-rounded read, and I’m already looking forward to the rest of the series!
I loved this. By the 3rd chapter it was painful to put down. Luckily a friend of mine was also chosen as an ARC so we could share thoughts. It gives 50 Shades (but so much better) and Beauty and the Beast vibes, but cozy. This was a nice read with the bonus of a little mystery. I look forward to more from this series and this author :)
Amazing read!! D.V. Cole really created characters that pull you in! They are relatable and instantly likable! I can’t wait for the next books!! I started this book late in the afternoon and stayed up way too late reading!!
I loved this book. The character development is so well done! This is the perfect beginning of what seems to be an addictive series. I am so sad that I have to wait for the rest of the series!
So grateful for being given the opportunity to be a ARC reader and being able to take this journey with a new author, I greatly appreciate it. Overall for a debut novel this was a sweet read, fast paced and slight intrigue. While the story was complete and checked boxes, I feel as if some were missed in the fast pace-ness of this book. The characters are well developed and placed however there were some key elements that seemed a little lacking. While it was well written and the plot was there; there I feel there were parts that gave more pause to the story line and didn't quite give it the UMPH the book deserves. PROS: * The scenes were delish, the window scene....scratch that the pottery scene dear lord!!! We love a good GHOST scene. The spice was well written and you could feel the tension in those moments and the imagery that flashes through the mind, hot damn where can I find one! * The piercing. what mote is there to say other than yummy and all the deliciousness that comes with it. * Masked man who comes to the rescue and stays for the connection/romance. The air of mystery him being masked brings to the table is kinda hot, him being a billionaire on top of it is just icing on the cake. While it did bring up a few interesting problems it led to some very erotic solutions. (my fave was the blindfold) CONS: * While the insta-love was well written in that they caught each other's eye I feel it was too rushed. I understand timeline wise it needed to be fast paced but I feel many opportunities were lost in the making. Hell my parents met and married in 8 months but to hear them tell it it was a lifetime. I would have liked to experience more of that lifetime feel with Archer and Morgan. Where were the little hiccups and disappointments other than her not seeing his face? * In my opinion the wearing of the helmet went on just a little too long, while in some cases it was VERY hot in others it caused some awkwardness as a reader to witness. Because lets face it after the second meal shared it was a bit annoying. While the sharing of a meal did indeed feel a bit intimate t was off-put in the awkwardness of her having to look away for him to eat and the pausing of an otherwise good flow. Yes, the scene where he feeds her was hot as hell to read I could have probably done only with one. * And finally it might just be me but I wasn't a fan of the third person for it to have been written as a multi POV story. I feel as if doing this in third person we've lost some of the emotions and intensity. While in some aspects they are there they feel watered down as if they had to go through another person feeling them for it to come across. I would have liked to feel the utter loss of control Archer felt when Morgan left, as it was it was brief and clinical ,which yes I can kind of see a CEO respond this way, but where was that sense of loss of devastation he felt when she walked out the door? Consequently where was her anger at the cheating only to be immediately replaced with subsequent adoration borderline obsession with Archer? It felt as if those moments and emotions were watered down while in other moments the tension was through the roof. * And I'm sorry but where was her awareness!!!! a strange masked man asks to walk you to your car!! HONEY!!!! There is a time and a place for you to allow that but that should not have been one! Thank him exchange numbers text him to let him know you made it then make plans....And another thing it was about his wants and needs to stay mysterious and you just went along with it.... Babycakes what did you really think about it how did it really make you feel. Sorry for the rant but these thoughts were just 'a tumbling round my head. It seems all the plot development went to Archer because we already had a strong and confident FMC who just allowed him to help her in things she could have very well handled herself. Overall a nice read and I did enjoy it.

Falling in love with a man when you’ve never seen his face because he’s always wearing a motorcycle helmet - “Grease 2” vibes all the way. As a little kid I used to watch that movie with my cousins all the time. No, you don’t understand, All.The.Time! Yes, it’s so not child friendly, but what can I say, it was a different time and when my love for masked men began. I’ve been waiting my entire life for my “Cool Rider”, so when I came across this book, babyyyy let me tell you…Oh the book’s not out yet? Immediately signed up for the ARC. Nothing was standing in my way!
Morgan first met “Bullet” as he came to her rescue when her boyfriend, whom she had just caught cheating, confronted her at night on a public sidewalk. Imagine hearing a deep voice through a motorcycle helmet warn, “I believe the lady asked you not to touch her.” Oh my! And when your leather-clad hero offers to walk you to your car, he gallantly extends his arm for you to hold. I was already in love in Chapter 1!
“Bullet” turns out to be Archer Sullivan, powerful billionaire CEO, who runs a successful business empire called Sullivan Security Solutions. During the day, Archer attends board meetings and acquires companies. But at night and on weekends, Archer prefers the “Bullet” persona and rides with his ex-Special Forces crew. Archer is very protective of his identity so Morgan doesn’t find out who Archer is until about 70% in. Yes, he either has his helmet on or has Morgan wear a silk mask throughout most of the book. While it definitely added to the spice, it did start getting weird, especially after he gave her a key to his penthouse, but I can suspend my disbelief for a good story. And while there was a third act breakup, we did get a happily ever after.
I’m not going to pick apart the book, I prefer to just go with the vibes, and I have to say I loved it. I had such a great time reading it and definitely recommend if you enjoy spicy hidden identity insta-lust stories. This almost bordered on insta-love as Archer was ready for Morgan to move in within 10 days. When you know, you know.
Now I couldn’t find a way to bring this up organically, but I felt like it’s important to note that Archer has a tongue ring. Just going to let that sit there. And I’m excited to hear this is going to be a series with Archer’s ex-Special Forces biker crew as the love interests!
Faceless Devotion follows Archer, a billionaire CEO torn between the man he is at his core and the powerful figure he’s expected to be. He lives by strict rules—until he meets Morgan. For her, he’s willing to break them all…except one: his helmet stays on, keeping his identity a secret.
Morgan, a brilliant marketing strategist, has just discovered her boyfriend is cheating on her. The same day, she crosses paths with the mysterious Archer, who steps in and saves her from a messy confrontation with her ex. It’s not love at first sight, but the spark between them is undeniable.
Their connection deepens with every encounter, but secrets—especially the one Archer keeps—loom large. Can what they’ve found survive once the truth comes to light?
This was a fun and intriguing slow burn with just the right mix of tension, chemistry, and emotional pull. I’m definitely recommending this one to fellow romance readers! It is a five starts for me!!!
I really really liked this book, once I started I could not put it down and finished the whole thing in one night. It has a great balance of plot, action, and the spice 👌. The only reason I am giving this book 4 stars instead of 5 is because while I enjoyed the suspense of not knowing when Archer was finally going to reveal his true identity, he really does wear the helmet a bit too long IMO. I found myself saying out loud ahhh take off the helmet already man!! But hey it was also enough to keep me hooked and turning those pages!
All in Morgan and Archer are both well developed and loveable characters that you will find yourself rooting for. Archer’s face reveal is spoiled by Morgan figuring out his identity first, which of course is the catalyst for the dreaded third act break up. (Don’t worry, it’s a HEA no cliff hanger ending). I’m not sure how she didn’t figure it out sooner. There are quite a few pretty obvious clues. There is a plot twist at the end that ties every event together including Morgan’s early break up. It’s not too far fetched IMO but you can definitely start to see it take shape so you won’t be totally blind sided by it.
This could be a great stand alone, that has really great potential to be a full series. I can’t wait to read the other characters stories and get more background on Archer’s guys and Morgan’s best friend Tessa.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and wow, let me tell you. It was so cute and fun to read. Right off the bat, both Morgan and Bullet (Archer) have intense chemistry and literally had me kicking my feet while giggling. Seeing their relationship evolve was so heartwarming especially as she was becoming more and more essential to his life. When she meets his friends and feels like they’ve been pals for quite some time was interesting to see as well. There were a few things I questioned about the books such as who broke into her apartment and why they dressed up to seem like Archer broke in (i know it was somewhat implied who did it) I just can’t wrap my head around the why? Another part is when she is packing for her move after the Gala, ummmm, where is she going if it wasn’t to move in with Archer? She does so later but that seemed a bit off. The ending seemed a bit rushed. Also, towards the end when he’s cooking her a meal it backtracked on his earlier cooking abilities so I found that a bit odd. I assume it was to keep up with the persona and “compartmentalization” of keeping his real identity a secret? Not sure. Forgot to mention that this book is written in third person pov. I don’t read third person books usually so it was interesting to read. I do wish we would have read more about his parent’s accident since he felt so guilty about it. Overall, it was a good read and I’m pretty excited about the future books. I have a feeling perhaps viper and Tessa will have a book of their own? Not sure but will be exciting to see if there is. I’m sure they’ll also be a good read. Towards the end I feel there was a tad more to the spicy scenes (I’m a sucker for spice) so I wish I would have read more of them. But that’s just me.

Ok so I devoured this in probably 18 hours and I was asleep for 6 of those, driving for one of those, exercising and showering for another hour. it gripped me. I only knock a star off because I had a really hard time with the tense and POV, like how it’s in third person but not all of the time. That was a tough adjustment for me for some reason. But the story, the characters, the spice?! Chefs kiss 👌🏼will definitely be reading future books and definitely recommending them to fellow readers!
The irony of his name being Archer and nicknamed Bullet amused me. Morgan and Archer definitely had chemistry from the start and as it grew I was practically kicking my feet.
The characters are well hashed out so that you just like them from the beginning. Morgan is confident and smart, while Archer is reserved and gives off the manly vibes without the typical alpha male bullshit.
Even though I was wanting to side eye of disappointment Archer's decisions and give him a head slap, his thought process was still understandable, if a bit frustrating. Morgan getting all the information and facts endeared her to me so much more than if she'd just insta forgave. Like make that man beg for forgiveness queen you're a snack.
Was it unrealistic? Mayhaps, but I still loved that shit. For a debut book, babe you killed it.
This book was a refreshing surprise... and I might have learned a few things about myself along the way.
Beautifully crafted characters, flaws and all. A clear but complicated world, mystery, romance, etc! What more could a girl ask for?
There were minimal punctuation or formatting errors, nothing that took away from the flow of the story over all. (these will most likely be fixed before august release)
This piece is written in third person which I feel did help immerse us further into the narrative, able to understand and experience both the FMC and MMC POV throughout. There were some instances where dialogue was repeated either because of the switching POV's or for some other reason, say an introduction of a new character asking one of the MC's a question about themselves. While these moments felt a little repetitive and maybe not totally necessary at the time, they didn't disrupt the flow of the story.
My absolute favorite part about this story, other than the insane plot twist (which i thought i had figured out about half way through- WRONG), was how new all the intimacy scenes felt! They were spicy, but they were sweet, they were thoughtful, and they were creative! Given the restrictions of the characters, they were very creative! But each interaction felt new, felt purposeful, and meaningful to me as a reader as much as it does to the characters themselves.
I don't like giving out spoilers, so I'll leave the praise at that.
Honestly, I want to read it again! And I'll be impatiently waiting for the next installment in the series.
This just wasn’t it for me… The writing style, the story, the characters… This fell really flat. And If I read the word “compartmentalized” one more time, I’m going to scream. Also, why are we eating so much with the helmet/blindfold on? It was literally like half of the plot of the book… We don’t find like ANYTHING out until like 70% into the book… And like… A week??! That is WAY too insta love for me and the smut was just bland… I’m disappointed cause I looked forward to this so much and it just didn’t do it for me :/

Faceless Devotion by D.V. Cole is a stunning blend of mystery, emotion, and slow-burning intensity that completely took my breath away. From the very first chapter, I was hooked by the intriguing dynamic between Archer and Morgan, two characters who couldn’t be more different yet fit together in the most magnetic, combustible way.
Morgan, a talented digital designer with a quiet strength, is instantly likable. She’s real, driven, and emotionally grounded in a way that makes her easy to root for. Archer? He’s enigmatic, powerful, and utterly fascinating. A billionaire hiding behind a motorcycle helmet might sound strange, but Cole turns it into something brilliant. Archer’s decision to keep his identity hidden is more than just a disguise. It’s about vulnerability, control, and the desire to be truly seen for who he is, not his money, his status, or the world’s perception of him.
Their relationship is a masterclass in tension and trust. Every moment they share feels laced with anticipation, a push and pull between secrecy and sincerity, obsession, and honesty. When the truth begins to unravel, the emotional payoff is explosive.
D.V. Cole’s writing is sharp, evocative, and deeply immersive. The pacing is perfect, the dialogue is electric, and the emotional stakes are high. Faceless Devotion isn’t just a romance, it’s a journey through fear, desire, healing, and what it really means to give someone your heart without a face to hold onto.
If you love mysterious billionaires, emotionally rich storytelling, and a heroine who holds her own, this book is everything.
I really enjoyed this debut novel. Morgan and bullet, while unconventional, are quite the spicy pair. I love the care and devotion displayed within the lovemaking. I am curious tho… are we going to find out who was in the video? Overall a great read that kept me coming back for more.
Oh. My. GOODNESS!!!! This book was absolutely everything honestly. The helmet thing? New yum unlocked instantly. The identity thing was also sooo intriguing and enticing, and if the rest of the books in this series are anything like this one, I’m going to absolutely eat them UP! So glad I got the opportunity to ARC read this🥵😍
I loved this spicy romance book. D.V. Cole created a story that had me hooked from the very beginning. I really didn’t want to put the book down. The characters are all amazing and I am already looking forward to reading book #2 (Viper’s story) I definitely recommend this story.
Thank you to D.V. Cole for giving me the opportunity to read this eARC copy in exchange for an honest review! 🩷
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book. The story is great. I loved how the story and relationships unfolded organically. The author has created characters that had me feeling the tension, pain and holding my breath for the ball to drop. Read this book in a day. It was too good to put down.
If you love a well written plot, strong yet soft FMC, and a helmet-wearing MMC who is a dark broody sweetheart...then give this book a shot.
An absolutely beautifully written book there is not one part of this book that ever feels slow or anything like that even the first couple pages suck you right in. I will highly recommend this book to anybody who asks for a book recommendations. The author is absolutely amazing and I cannot Talk about this book enough. The characters are also so wonderful and I immediately fell in love with the main characters so much. If you’re looking for a wonderful read, I highly recommend hands-down!!!!!!! (*ˊᗜˋ*)/ᵗᑋᵃᐢᵏ ᵞᵒᵘ*
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and I literally could not put it down until I finished. The author beautifully weaves a story of love, understanding with angst. The MMC is so use to having two side to his life, his billionaire CEO identity and his personal identity and when he meets the MFC he struggles with showing both sides because he has put up such a wall between them and it’s a beautiful journey for him to lower that wall while the FMC works on finding herself. This is truly an amazing book and I highly recommend people read this!!
This book was so amazing! The added mystery, the chemistry between the characters! Everything! I was in such a bad book slump after Severed Heart! I got approved for this ARC & it pulled me out so quick! I love the military background, the boysss! I cannot wait to read their books! If you want a cute but spicy book with an ex military biker, where the helmet stays on during spicy time, this is it! I cannot thank the author enough for letting me be a part of the ARC team! Cute, but mysterious & spicy with some added drama! 🩵💚
First I just want to say thank you for the arc! Second, I read this so fast. I throughly enjoyed it. It was such a fast read, however I did find some inconsistencies which slightly turned me off but I was able to look past them.
I will say I am not a huge fan of insta love, but if you are then this is definitely for you. However, even though this was very insta love I still felt the tension and the yearning between the characters. I do feel like I wish Morgan (FMC) had more of a backbone and I wish we got to dive deeper into Archers (MMC) past and trauma. There was something that he mentioned that was pretty heavy and just never brought up again.
The spice was immaculate. Truly. It was written SO WELL in my opinion. Tongue piercings and blind folds.
I do think this series has serious potential, and you can see the bread crumbs of the next couple towards the end. I really hope I get to experience the rest of this series as an arc, I think I could see this moving to a 4/5 star series for me with more editing and less inconsistencies. Regardless, I do plan on reading this whole series!!
