If I were a film, I'd like to be one that has Christoph Waltz in it, or Al Pacino. Either would make me happy.

If I were a Boxset, I'd want it to be The Sopranos.

I love walking in the rain, especially if I've got nowhere to go.
Winter's my favourite time of year, it fits me, unlike summer when everyone thinks you should be happy. Happiness doesn't just appear because the suns out, life doesn't work like that.

I love my family.

I love reading - Harry Potter, Twilight, Memoirs of a Geisha, Da Vinci Code are all in my top ten. Don't make me choose one. That would be like asking me to choose between my children. It just wouldn't happen.

OKAY! Here goes... POSSIBLE SPOILERS labeled as such!

(I had a difficult time reviewing/rating this one!! I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could!)

Let's get my "issues" out of the way first, shall we?

1. I thought the two main characters spent way too much time apart. I get that they each had their own thing to do (well, mainly Josh did) but there were many scenes They just needed more together time, even in little spurts!

2. Not finding out until near the end WHY Josh was so smitten with Evie, that he'd I'd assumed it was insta-love, which I wasn't really going for. So had I'd known, it would have been more believable.

3. Was Josh supposed to be evil? Working for "Death", I would think he was. He certainly didn't like himself too much, was ridden with guilt over a number of things, but he wasn't actually evil, I was a little confused. Once I realized he wasn't evil, I couldn't figure out WHY he wasn't.

4. Their first kiss

Okay, aside from the above, I DID enjoy this read. Not enough for a "really liked it" 4 star though :( The author did a great job of painting Evie's depressive state in a believable way. I really felt for her!! Her mom was a mess, her aunt was mean, and she really didn't have anybody! Well, she did have Sam, but she didn't take enough advantage of that relationship. I think that's why I kept expecting Josh to show up and give her a shoulder to lean on, 'cuz she really needed it. People who are depressed typically can't and shouldn't be dealing with it on their own! It was hard to watch her suffer alone for so long.

But I did love how the tables got turned and she And the chemistry when they WERE together was awesome.

A good set-up for the next book, which I will be reading. There's potential here for a great series.

Seventeen-year-old Evie is desperately alone and depressed. She is constantly fighting a battle with the demons in her mind. The demons win one New Year’s Eve, Evie attempts suicide by jumping off the Old Bridge. However, the Angel of Death, Josh, has different plans for her. Josh can’t watch Evie die, so defies his role and saves her, rather than bringing her to Death. Josh must be punished for defying the rules, so She strips him of his powers. Half human and half angel, Josh is sent on a mission so that he can die peacefully, rather than live a half-life away from Evie. The mission to find Archangel, Hyperion, is far from easy and keeps Josh away from the depression filled, Evie. What will happen to both Josh and Evie now that their lives are entwined?

Evie is a beautiful character. Morgan has explored the depths of despair that Evie feels and makes her a likeable character. Similarly, Josh is also likeable. He defies his purpose to save Evie, only to have Death punish him. Josh and Evie’s relationship is explored well, cryptic at the start and blossoms as the story unfolds.

The novel is well written. Written from first person perspective, alternating between Evie and Josh. The style is easy to follow and allows the reader to truly understand the two main protagonists.

Really enjoyed the overall story. Felt it was fresh, full of new perspectives in the paranormal genre. It was fast paced, I finished it quickly.

Would highly recommend!

I enjoyed reading this book once I finally got into it. Unfortunately I was about 40% of the way through the book before it really started getting interesting to me. Fortunately after that it really started to look up and I enjoyed it enough to finish reading it, but it took me a long time. I read other books before I finished this one.

Whenever I read a Young Adult book I always ask myself "am I enjoying this book" and "would my teenage daughter enjoy this book?".

The answer to both questions is "Not really." Normally if I have gotten that far into a book and it has not grabbed my attention yet then I put the book away and never finish reading it. The only reason I didn't is because I made myself resolution to finish reading 52 books this year and review them. However, I won''t review most books until I have finished them because sometimes the ending is better than the beginning. This book is a clear example of why I do that. This book gets off to a rough slow start but ends with a flourish. The end was good enough that I MIGHT just read the next book in the series to find out what happens next to Evie and Josh. Maybe the next book is a 4 star book or better.

I was interested in the story from the first sentences. It was easy to read. I was touched by the feelings of Evie and Josh, by their sorrow, sadness, hurt. I enjoyed reading it, to know their thoughts, their feelings, their view of things. I wanted more. I wanted to know more about Evie and Josh, what happened to them, what would happen to them now. I started to care about them. I wanted their story to have happy ending.

It was also story about angels. I was interested to read how they are portrayed in this story. Details of the story piqued my interest to know secrets and what story would reveal. I started to feel there is a bigger picture and I wanted to know more.

I liked this story a lot. Some parts made me laugh or smile. Sometimes it was kind of poetic, with nice wording, and I enjoyed words, sentences. What I enjoyed most about the story was how it portrayed feelings of the characters, their sadness, darkness, despair and yet longing, hope, and how it made me care about the characters.

It was nice story. I'm interested to know how it would go on.

This beautifully written book takes you straight in to the story and gives you a powerful insight into a teenagers’ life that has been cruelly altered by grief. It covers current issues such as cyberbullying, depression and suicide.

Everyone loves a good “angel story” and Everlong is no exception. It has the perfect package of romance, fantasy and magic. The story could be weighty enough without the supernatural theme but it is nice to have a twist to the story otherwise it could prove to be quite a depressing read.

Morgan chooses her characters well; both protagonists are interesting as individuals and it would be interesting to see how they work together. I am confident that #2 will cover this in great detail.

Everlong: really sets the scene for a fantastic trilogy; can’t wait for the others to follow.

Note to the reader it is highly recommended that you listen to Foo Fighters’ Everlong. In some way it makes the story come to life and puts you in the mind set of Evie.

I received this book from the author through LoP in exchange for an honest review.

Josh and Evie are soul mates who are drawn to each other with a heavenly passion. The only problem? Josh is an Angel of Death and Evie is a mere mortal. There are a few aspects that I liked about this story: Death is a woman, and there is a supernatural fight to prevent the apocalypse, and there's something sneaky going on in the supernatural world. However, there was very little world building until later in the story which made things a little confusing at first. The people in Evie's life are somewhat limited and revealed in extremely small increments. I wish that these people were fleshed out a bit more. Overall, the story itself has a lot of potential and I'm interested in seeing more about Death, Hyperion, and Obadiah.

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Lovers of Paranormal or LoP*

When Josh saves Evie from dying everything changes for them both. Mostly because Josh is the Angel of Death. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was very original and wonderfully written. I LOVED the forbidden chemistry between Evie and Josh. I really wanted them to be together. Of course, with Josh's "profession" being together isn't going to be easy. Josh is a very loving and sexy character! I loved how much he wanted Evie. I absolutely cannot wait for book #2! I highly recommend this book!!

I kinda expected more from this book. I mean I really liked the idea, the plot, the book cover was awesome but when I started the story, it was waaay slow and it seemed to give details that were not required and hence lose the reader's interest. I saw that it is a Trilogy and I personally think that the place where the story in Book 1 ended was a bad ending, should have shown some conclusive thing, maybe something suspicious or something that creates curiosity in the reader and he can't wait to read the next part!

Anyway, as mentioned above, I liked the idea. The idea of Hyperion gathering things to bring the end of the world, end both god and satan.
