Residing in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, I have always had a love of writing and after years of stories bouncing around in my head I decided to put pen to paper and Stripped Bare, my first novel, was created.
As a grown woman I am now very family orientated and fairly straight laced, although you wouldn't think so from reading my novels.
I write with the aim of giving people an easy, enjoyable read, and try to make the characters as relatable as I can. And they all have a HEA.
I write my books as series, but each can be read as stand alone novels.

Okay so I kinda messed up and read this series out of order. This was suppose to be the first book and Then Stripped Raw, but other than knowing what happens to Jason(the hero from Stripped Raw) it wasn't a real big deal. These books can be read as stand alones easily. That being said I liked this book better than Stripped Raw. There was only one thing that kept this from being a five star for me and that is I was so in knots during that I really did look like the gif above frowning, eating and drinking, but not able to put my kindle down!

I loved Damien. He was hot. But then again I do have a weakness for men in uniforms!!!! Damien was all kinds of yummy, growling, dominate alpha male. Sally was relatable and easy to like. I really liked her personal growth. She was so broken down in the first part of the book, but she really finds herself again. Although I wish she would have giving Damien a chance to explain things, but I could understand why she did what she did. Damien and Sal had explosive chemistry and they fell in love hard and fast. This book just reaffirmed my love for Jason's cousin Macy . I made a status update while reading this book saying I really want Macy to get her own book. Mrs. Rebecca Moon commented that Macy's book is in the pipe line! So Yay for that. I can't wait to get my hands on Macy's book, her personality really shined in both this book and Stripped Raw! Overall I really enjoyed this book. Even if I did read them out of order lol!

For a first time author this was a good book. As usual when reading someone new (for me in any case) it did take me a bit to get used to her writing style and get into the story. Also I think it took the author a bit to get in a nice rhythm within her story.

Our heroine is Sally. A once promising young accountant that has lost her way. A previous relationship has destroyed her confidence. She has let that really bring her down. Though I can see how that could happen I couldn't , personally, relate to her. The author explains why she spiraled so low and how she cut her self off from family and friends. When we meet her first she's at her lowest.

description

Even though it's not expressly mentioned she appears to be depressed. That's when she meets Damien again. Still quite shy and introvert , the first meeting comes with anxiety on her part but it also re-awakens all feeling within her. Sensations and feelings that were left dormant for two years.

description

Damien is in the Navy and he appears to have everything in control in his life. He is quite taken with the older version of Sally and very drawn to her. This was very much an insta-lust situation for both of them. Damien can see the changes in Sally and sets out to draw her out of her shell and in to the light with him. Their romance begins hot and heavy but it doesn't progress smoothly. This spoiler is for my safety gang girls, if you're planning on reading this and don't have any safety issues don't click on this

The whole book is told in multiple POVs. We have the two main ones, Sally and Damien, but we do get snippets from the side characters too. Like Macy and Jason. The were also not separate in any way but all melded together. You knew whose POV you were reading even if sometimes it was all in the same paragraph.

I did have a few minor quibbles here and there but they are mostly my issues and not the authors fault. For example I cannot abide lip biting anymore. Albeit, they were few but I still don't like it. See , clearly a me thing. Also I felt that sometimes during the first half of the book there were some sentences here and there that were superfluous. As the story progresses that issue smoothed out as well.

Overall it was a sweet romance and a coming together of two people. I believe the author has potential and I really want to read Jasons book now.

A kind thank you to Rebecca Moon for gifting me her books in exchange for an honest review.

My Thoughts - Story
This is the first time I have read one of Ms. Moon’s books and I was pleasantly surprised.

I loved these characters: from Sally who from a prior relationship has turned into a shell of herself. Locked up in her apartment, she has a problem with socializing. Between gaining weight and being paranoid of getting too close to anyone, this girl is in need of an alpha male to set her straight.

So, in comes Damien and his subtle insertion into her life. He slowly breaks Sally from her demons and they work together to heal each other and move past their prior hurts.

I loved how the author developed these characters an took us on a beautiful journey of love.

Sally was in love and the humiliation of her lover’s betrayal, especially when everyone knew but her was devastating. To protect herself, she hid away from the world of men, locked down her heart and tossed the key, leaving her only half alive, depressed and only able to dream of the life she wants. Her life was about to change as she began to see her future in the soulful eyes of a boy from her past. Damien is definitely not a boy anymore. He is all the man Sally could want, and then some, but you know what they say about something being too good to be true…Sally meant to surprise Damien, but the shock was hers, and she ran, no excuses accepted. You know what they say about assuming something, now two lives were in shambles, both deeply hurt, lost and emotionally flayed, both hiding behind pride, pain and desperation. What will it take to at least get them communicating or will they both move on, crutches in tow?

Rebecca Moon’s Stripped Bare will resonate with anyone who has felt the pain of being the last to know. Sally comes to us, broken and needy, trying to make every aspect of her the best it can be to compensate for her heartbreak. Ms. Moon allows us watch as Sally grows and finally discovers who defines her life, and it isn’t some hot hunk that rocks her sheets. Damien is like the Prince Charming of Romance, almost too perfectly alpha and tender. Too bad he lied by omission about one little detail! Speaking of details, Ms. Moon has tossed in day to day things that almost go unnoticed, which is what breathes the oxygen into these characters, nothing is huge, but they are there and it felt totally realistic.

Follow a wonderfully fascinating cast, as Sally grows up, Damien faces his own demons and that darn dog gets out again! Passion, heat, a touch of humor, some angst and a rescue dog, what’s not to like?

3,75 "Keep fighting" stars from me!!

An overall enjoyable story with an intense and emotional plot, where you see how a person like Sally chose to turn to herself away from people after a devastating relationship with a "man" who decided/chose to listen others and not his girlfriend and as a result humiliation and pain took charge and destroyed anything beautiful they had at first.

After long time and from a happy person to an introvert and shy with low self esteem Sally's life took a new turn when she saw Damien again after many years, he succeeded to make her feel things again besides pain and all the bad emotions which come with it. A sparkle became a fire and now Damien and Sally are something explosive together with their hot scenes and the enjoyable dialogues...this part of the story was my favorite but towards the end some things happened that i wasn't a fan, when you will read you will understand what i'm saying because i don't wanna spoil anything and that's totally my personal opinion doesn't mean that someone else would have an issue with it.

The reason i'm saying that is because when two people have very intense feelings for each other and never even in the slightest this feelings decreased then you shouldn't be able to do things the main characters did, work your problems don't act like that..yes i understand that for Sally it was difficult to be her former self after what has happened to her and act like everything is OK but for that reason trying exists not to act with the exact opposite way.

That been said everything else in the story were very interesting and the plot developed quite steady, the other thing that i liked a lot it was that in the narration it wasn't only by our main characters but also from Jason and Macy which made the reading even more pleasant especially Jason's POV who is the main character in the second book of the series.

Sally Parker is all but hiding in her apartment from the world. Sally works from home to avoid being hurt again. Sally's best friends Macy and Chelsea want only the best for their friend not this broken shell. At Chelsea's coffee shop Sally gets reacquainted with a high school friend Damien Johnston. Sally can't believe that Damien is so handsome and tall. Damien is stunned by the changes in Sally. Damien only wants to help Sally come out of her shell and be the woman she's meant to be. To encourage Sally to step out into the world again Damien sends little gifts to her. Sally is floored by Damien's thoughtfulness and caring. Both Sally and Damien come from broken relationships. Can both Sally and Damien move beyond their painful pasts? Your answers await you in Stripped Bare.

Stripped Bare left me feeling stripped myself emotionally. I've been where Sally was in the past yet found the one to help me move past it all. I lived this story along with the characters from first page to last page. The characters are raw, honest, real, down to earth, compelling, flawed, and interesting. The story is honest, real, compelling, interesting, and believable. I look forward to more of this author's work in the future.

Sally went from out going and on top of the world to introverted recluse after the emotional abuse doled out by her ex. Her amazing job and happy spark died with their relationship. Two years alter, she lives under her best friend/pseudo big brother Jason and works from home. Until her friend Macy brings Damien to meet her. Sally remembers Damien from high school but Damien is all grown up. His military career and secret assignments have made him all muscle and confidence. Sparks fly and Sally dives in to a passionate relationship with Damien, letting him heal all her scars from the past.
I truly loved the two-thirds of the book and the ending wrapped it up brilliantly. It was sexy and emotional and well written. I loved watching Sally's character grow and blossom. Damien's sex appeal and complete devotion to his woman sold me on him. The drama and misunderstandings leading up to the the finish were not my cup of tea. (personal opinion) While I can mostly forgive a character's bad decisions in exchange for a heartfelt apology, both of the main characters (and a few secondary) behaved pretty badly. That being said, I am excited to start the next book in the series to get to know some of the supporting cast a little better.

Sally Parker is just a shell after changing her life to please someone else. Her self esteem is non exstant. She is now 'hiding' from life. Working from home and rarely going outside it's door. I could really relate to Sally as I saw my own Mother change to try to make a man happy and she also was a living 'shell'.

She has a few really good friends Chelsea, Macy and Jason. They don't know what to do help her get her self esteem back. Through Macy she reconnects with an old school friend, Damien Johnson. He is beyond shocked in the change in Sally from high school and makes it his mission to take small steps in getting Sally to become more like her old self.

Damien focus is on Sally and doesn't mention his own hell. Which comes back to bit him and nearly destroys them both.

Though Sally shows us all how strong a person she really is and picks up the pieces and attempts to move on.

The sex is beyond sizzling. I was very happy with how the story ended but felt sad for Nick because I felt he really cared for Sally and got a little burned. I hope there is a story in the future for Nick.

I truly enjoyed this story. It’s got all the makings of a good romance: passion, angst, disappointment, and reconciliation. And, it has a lovable rescue dog. Both Damien and Sally are both affected by their past relationships. Sally suffers from emotional scaring while Damien’s complications are more of an encumbrance. In either case, both of their pasts have an effect on their present relationships. As a result, poor assumptions are made and feelings are hurt. The key to making a relationship work is being able to admit that one is wrong. Sometimes, one has to work at making amends. If done well, most things can be forgiven. On the other hand, a sexy dress with a slit up the thigh can drive a man to do something crazy – sometimes good or sometimes bad.

My absolute favorite line:

“You know she’s ‘the one’ when even your mother’s cooking doesn’t cut it.”

"Stripped Bare by Rebecca Moon" is a stand-alone novella and the first book in "The Warnum - Bailiff Series." Many thanks to the Author Rebecca Moon for providing me with the free digital copy to review. I give this book 4 stars. “Stripped Bare” is a sweet love story filled with beauty, heartache and forgiveness. There are a lot of twists & turns in the story which makes it a page turner. The review is short in order to not give away a lot about the story.

Sally Parker at the age of 25 is not what she had intended to be at this time in her life. Gone is the smart, vibrant, talented & ambitious girl. After getting scarred by her Ex-Scumbag-Boyfriend Shane, Sally not only lost her spirit but her strength too in that relationship. She had been fragile and closed off for years, but a flicker of hope blooms in her heart, when she meets Damien Johnson.

Damien Johnson is a senior training officer for one of the elite teams in Navy. “A Stud muffin with brains.” Meeting Sally after years, didn't change the yearning he had from their former years of knowing each other. Seeing her this vulnerable, broke his heart and he vowed to protect, cherish and heal her wounded heart.

In a short period of time, their relationship bloomed and Sally’s faith in herself recurred. She was becoming her former self, when one day Damien’s unrevealed past knocked at their present !!!

Will Sally's wounded heart heal again ? Will Damien get Sally back ever ?

Sally really does have it all. A perfect job that she absolutely loves, and a handsome boyfriend that she adores. Shane was everything Sally ever looked for in a lover, caring, attentive and doting. But that all changes when he gets caught up in the ramblings of a scorned friend. Shane soon believes all the lies he's being told about Sally. The infidelity, the lies and the sneaking around sees Shane treating Sally much differently these days.

Sally finally has the courage to leave the abusive relationship with the help of her old school friends Jason and Macy.

When an acquaintance, Damien, catches up with Sally and Macy for coffee one day, the attraction he has towards Sally is something he's never felt before. But Sally is not her fun loving, joyous self any-more. Shane took that away from her. Shane has stripped her bare. She now spends her days working from home and generally hiding away from the general public.

But this doesn't deter Damien at all. He showers Sally with gifts and finally asks her out on a date, and even Sally is surprised with herself when she says yes. Could Damien be having the same reaction to her, as she does to him?

As their love blossoms, things just seem too perfect. You are expecting something to happen to upset the balance of perfect harmony, and this book does with heartbreaking effect.

An absolutely beautiful read that had me close to tears one minute and the next giggling like a child.

If you're a fan of happy ever afters, then I highly recommend this book.

A definite 5 star read

Sally has had the life and soul of her stripped down to nothing even after 2 years she is still in this tormented and broken place.

Damien back from the navy and catching up with Macy a mutual friend of both his and Sally's and intrigued about who Sally is after all this time meets them both for coffee.
Damien sees that Sally's not who she used to be that she's broken and scared but deep down he can still see a tiny piece of the Sally he knew shining through and he's going after it. Desires run deep and the lust and chemistry Damien and Sally hold for each other is sinfully hot. But hidden secrets destroy everything.

Sally takes a chance and believes in herself and a new stronger Sally takes control, Damien is still in pieces. Both Damien and Sally try to move on making choices they think will help but deep down the pull towards each other is over powering.
Can mistakes and misunderstandings be put right with a simple gift that holds the truth.
Will Damien and Sally get a happily ever after?
A stunning first read from Rebecca moon and looking forward to the next book.

We meet Sally who was constantly humilated and degraded by her first love. This leads to Sally nit having not having any confidence she shuts herself away from the world.

Luckily she has 3 great friends in Macy, Chelsea and Jason. It's through that Sally meets up with with old school friend Damien.

Damien is a elite naval officer that can make girls knees trembles just from a smile. He has the sort of eyes that feel like that they are looking straight into your soul.

For the first time in a long time Sally starts to feel alive and feel the old Sally coming back to life.

When Damien asks her on a date she surprises herself by agreeing to go. When they are together both Damien and Sally feel connected as one person and it's not long before love blossoms between the two of them. The sex between the two is hot hot hot.

If your a fan of happily ever afters that will have you laughing one minute and then crying the next this is the book for you.

Stripped Bare by Rebecca Moon is a heartwarming, entertaining book. This is the first book in the series.

Sally has been burned by men, well mostly her first boyfriend Shane. It took Sally over 2 years after leaving Shane to move on. With the help of her close friends Sally got re-equated with an old friend from high school, Damien. Unable to deny his attraction to Sally, Damien knew he needed to be extra careful with her. He could tell she had been burned in the past, but he wasn’t sure to what extent. A misunderstanding leaves both Sally and Damien heartbroken. Do they have it in them to fight for each other?

I really enjoyed this book. It’s well written. I love the characters as well as the connection between each one. I honestly can’t wait to read the next book. Damien and Sally’s story was one that fantasies are made of.

I read this book not knowing what to expect. I am not usually a romance, let alone erotic/romance reader and was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the characters in the script. Rebecca Moon has managed to make the characters all very real and relatable. The storyline flows well with a good mix of romance and sex/erotica. I am putting my hand up and saying that Rebecca Moon has me hanging for her next book!
