Broken #2

Unforgivably Broken: A New Adult Suspense

Rate this book
It took a near-tragedy for Zane and Lili to admit their feelings for one another. If they could survive that explosion, wading through the debris left behind should be a breeze, right? Lili has spent years hiding from her past. Now, she's being forced to admit her mistakes and make a decision. Can she conquer her demons head-on, or will she remain by Zane's side while he fights his own? Zane learned early in life that charm and deception are easier than hard truths. Sometimes, old habits die hard. When his past mistakes start making continuous reappearances, he is faced with some of the most crucial decisions he's ever made. When you have secrets, they can rip ragged holes in the ties that bind even the strongest relationships. What do you do when you realize you're unforgivably broken?

Are we serious???

What was this ending???
And how i'm gonna leave without the rest of the story???
Yep, it's officialy!!! This book is going to kill me!!! That's the only sure thing...

What a mess for once again!!!

It's a pity!!! Why those two people have to suffer all the time??? Why their problems are endless???
Yeah, finally i took some answers about both their pasts, but still i have countless quentions...
And why those damned persons doesn't stop to torture them???

I need salvation... I really need it!!! I can't take it anymore!!!

Well...Lili and Zane are finally together and they struggle to manage to be together as they want and deserve...

First of all, Zane is still hurting after his shot and he is worrying stopless about Lili and the possibillity that Adam will return to finish what he started before...

Lili is hating the fact that everyone treats her like she is fragile!!!
She and Zane are fighting all the time, but the way that they manage to calm the things between them was very sweet...
They were trying so hard to adjust in their new reality that wants them together but the problems around them never stopping...

First of all, that fuckin' bitch Lizzie doesn't stop to make their lives a pure hell. She is coming with some unexpected news that devastated them both, but especially Lili.
And then, Zane decided that he had to take Conner under his own custody, so it started a new battle with her ex... Plus all that, Lizzie is trying all the time to break up Lili and Zane.

There is and the another remained problem. Adam is still somewhere out there and he is waiting... That had everyone on edge...

And except the above, Lili made revelations about her past that are shocking everyone...
Her past seems to chase her and she had to deal with it and that made her vulnerable...
And in all that, we found out Zane's secret and that secret made him unsure for himself...

In that point, i have to say that i really appreciate the way that Lili stood beside Zane and made him understand that whatever happened back then, she is beside him and she will never stop loving him.
And i liked Zane's protectiveness and love toward Lili...

They were perfect together, but they were having so much problems that my heart was aching for them...
I really need salvation!!! For them and for me...
And what was that fuckin' ending???

I will lose my mind!!!

My only problems here except the obvious (Lizzie, Adam, pasts) were...
1. They used to be so open to one night stands with others and between them they were so slow in having sex...
2. Their characters suddenly were so heavy while in the beginning of the first book were funny and pleasant... (Okay, i know that all their life was full of problems, but still...)
3. I didn't like that all the time they misunderstand each other (even though then there was only sweetness and devotion!!!)
4. They are so fuckin' young for all these kind of problems....

I want to apologize that i can't explain this story very good, but i'm a little bit frustrated after all this mess...

But this story was intrigue and interesting and sweet....
I loved this book for once again and i want to get everything clear and right...
Told ya, i need salvation, God damn it!!!!

Holy epic cliffhanger. Ok so that cliffhanger was rough. I may have even shouted at the author a little (Sorry Maegan!). But I swear it was all in the name of love. I thought I couldn't love Unforgivably Broken more than Perfectly Broken but it happened. Even with the way it ended with a cliffhanger, it was a really good one. I seriously devoured this book. I was so happy I had book 2 after reading book 1. So epically beautiful. "My Heart." That's how I feel too. My heart. Maegan took my heart and destroyed it out a few different times and I don't think its fully back together yet. I'm dying for Silently Broken.

Wow. Maegan Abel absolutely slayed me with this book. Like, she straight up Beyonce'd me. I haven't felt this many emotions reading a book in a very long time. Unforgivably Broken is one of those sequels that reminds you why you loved the first book so much and simultaneously leaves you begging for the next installment. Gripping, edgy, and beautifully written, this is a definite must read.

After reading Perfectly Broken, I was aching for the next book. It wasn't left on a cliff hanger, but it was definitely a tease - and I am not a fan of teasing when it comes to my books lol. I dove into this book eager to learn more, and what I found was that each time I turned the page, more and more secrets began to reveal themselves. This happened literally all the way until the very last page. The author surprised me, and that's difficult to do nowadays.

This book is a journey for both Zane and Lili. There was so much heartache, so many broken pieces that needed to be picked up. Sometimes I found myself frustrated because I was so ready for these two to just get a moment of peace. However, that is what makes these characters so unique - they ARE broken, they AREN'T perfect, and they truly need each other. Where Zane provides strength, comfort, and protection for Lili, she grounds him to the earth and reminds him what's worth fighting for. They're also both stubborn as hell and a big pain in my arse sometimes, but God I love them. They're just so raw and real - just amazing.

What I love most about this book is the emotion that drips from every single page. This isn't a normal New Adult romance. It has suspense, it has drama, and it has emotional scenes that will leave you teary eyed and aching. I also really enjoyed the steam in this book. Zane... WHEW! Hello! That man makes my Kindle melt. And Lili is a little fire cracker and he has definitely met his match in her. Sure, she's lost a lot in this book - she goes through a LOT of emotional trauma - but in the end, she begins finding herself again and that feisty-ness returns full throttle. They fit so well together and I can't imagine a future for either of them without the other.

The writing in this installment is even better than the first, which is pretty damn hard to accomplish since the first was so well done. It's obvious the author did a lot of research in this book and I appreciate that. There's a lot going on in this series, yet none of it seems ridiculous - it all fits, it all coincides, and each time a new layer is peeled back, we understand these characters a little more.

Now, I will warn, this book leaves off with a HUGE cliff hanger. I literally screamed "No! No no no no wayyyy!" because I couldn't believe there was no more. But hey - that's what makes waiting for a new book so exciting, right? :)

Needless to say, I'm very much looking forward to the next installment in this series. Bravo, Maegan Abel. Five Can't-Get-Enough Stars from me.

This is book two in the Broken Series. As book one ended in a cliffhanger I was so glad I had this on my kindle ready to jump into.

This is the continuation of Zane and Lilis story. This is action packed with plenty of omg moments. I loved the suspense in the story.
Be warned there is a whopper of a cliffhanger. Roll on book three:)

So the little juicy bits above each chapter, ya they just about did me in , knowing how that played out in book 1 I was hooked. Who is it , what is happening , how will it end ?? JUST TELL ME NOW. It was pure torture but of course I loved every minute of it !!

We finally start to see Lili's story unfolding piece by piece. Her sister had shown up in PB throwing us all for a loop , Zane caught a news report she was watching and he even caught on to something similar between the girl and Lili. She now has to face the demons of her past. As always Tish and Zane are there to support her and she decides to explain her story to them and move forward with her healing. Her story is heartbreaking and really helps you to understand the layers of Lili. Zane is still recovering from being shot. He is trying to protect Lili but he is hovering and she is not having that. Once again we see that crazy tension between these too and it is ready to explode. They are struggling with their feelings and how to take their relationship to the next level. They are both stubborn as hell and you just want to know who will cave first. Lili is not the only one with a past and Zane's past decides to throw itself into the mix in the form of a blonde beast. It is not pretty but as stubborn as Zane and Lili maybe some things are just simple to them , it is what it is and they will get through it.

There are so many conversations in this book between certain characters that I love. Always love Tish and Lili , they are such great friends and I love everything about their friendship !! Zane and Lili's heart to hearts can melt you or break you. They may not be up front always about expressing emotions but look out when they have something to say , they are both so passionate and give their all to the ones they love. Connor , oh my , he is just the sweetest little boy ever !! He has a few things to say in this book that will make you want to grab him from the pages and hug him !! There is 1 conversation between Lili and a certain someone she ends up working with , I am not going to say names , but I am going to say WOW this conversation had me drooling for more , or maybe some flashbacks , or maybe even a book about it !!!! LOL I may have a new man to swoon over !!

On top of all this personal drama there is a sense of unease throughout the story. Something just isn't right and you know that other shoe is going to drop but no clue when. There is just enough going on that you may even forget to pay attention to your fears and it will sneak up on you !! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for it. There were plenty of yummy distractions like Zane and the shower , Texas , the boat... In PB the sexual tension was awesome !! You almost didn't want them to have sex because it was that good to see them squirm !! So let's just say when it is relieved DAMN it is HOT !! Maegan can write sex !! Though I will say Maegan does not have to write tons of sex to have me hooked !! Her writing flows and the storyline has so much more to it than you think.

CLIFFHANGER , if you thought PB had a cliffy just you wait !! LOL
I am slightly horrified for book 3 , where the hell is she going with this cliffy...........

5 out of 5

I don’t even know where to begin. Just wow. I loved Perfectly Broken (first and second time through) and can’t even express how excited I was for this sequel. I stayed up in to the wee hours of the morning and devoured Unforgivably Broken. Devoured is my word of choice for Maegan Abel’s books. Why? Because once I start, I simply cannot stop until I reach the end of the journey she takes me on as a reader. And these books are epic journeys – the characters I have grown to love, the entire gamut of emotions written across the pages and those evoked in me along the way, the story of these two unique individuals who struggle to overcome their own perverted notions of love (or complete lack thereof) to accept what they feel they don’t deserve.

Completely swept up in the intensity of the evolution of Zane and Lili, I was blown away by all that happened in the space of these pages. So much happens along the way, good and bad, (almost too much at times to wrap my head around) that it was sometimes hard to imagine these two overcoming the hurdles before them, actual and self-imposed. I did not expect the overwhelming emotion and vulnerability here. It was raw and painful and really sad, especially Lili’s struggle to deal with all that she suppressed for so long. Years of pent up emotion and uncharacteristic tears filled the pages as they tried to figure out how to simply love each other. At its core though, this was a story of strength, as we discover what has driven these two to approach life and love the way they do, and how to fight for each other.

Through all the twists and turns, revelations, crazy ex encounters, in your face emotions, Conner sweetness, and extreme highs and lows, I felt every word of this book. Did it take me where I thought it would? Hardly – and that’s what I enjoyed about it. Although this book had a much higher angst factor than the previous and a bit more predictability, with limited exception I felt it was all critical to the storyline and the emotional evolution of Lili and Zane individually and as a couple. Warning – there is a monster cliffhanger. I knew the ending would be tough given the creative and taunting (and downright evil!) foreshadowing approach Maegan Abel used in both books, (not to mention desperately watching that percentage ticking upwards on my kindle and saying to myself, “No, she wouldn’t…”). She did. I did not expect to be left where we were. And I feel darker horizons ahead. Now I’m left in agony, waiting for the conclusion of this series until next Spring! I could be pissed. Okay, I am a little. But I’ll forgive the cliffhanger because this woman is crazy gifted with words and I love the story of these two.

Review: Unforgivably Broken - Book #2 The Broken Series - Maegan Abel - TBC 2014

This book it wasn't till I really got stuck into it and I was hooked , I realised that I loved it and when it finished I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO !!! You can't finish the book there, so for those who don't mind major cliffhangers, then this book defintiely does have that and I am so hoping that she will write a Book #3 and give those fans like myself closure or at least a sense of recovery from the ending of Unforgivably Broken. At the beginning of this book is the prologue which you will read again in the second to last chapter of the book in more context but the story really starts with Lili and Zane's crazy relationship where Zane was nearly killed. They are sitting in the lounge of their flat , when a news report comes up about an Olympic gymnast being allegated against rape and the picture of a gymnast who has killed herself. After this pops a picture of a gymnast named Kaylee who disappeared five years ago. The picture of Kaylee looks a whole lot like Lili and it turns out that Lili ran away five years ago after she was raped by a fellow gymnast and disappeared from her previous life. Now five years later, with the trial appearing her past has come back in a flood and she must now face those she has spent so many years running and hiding from. Zane and Lili have finally got a good thing going until his ex-wife Lizzie turns up and announces she is pregnant and Zane is the father. Can Zane and Lili work out their issues as they are both as broken as each other or will the pressures of the trial and Lizzie back in Zane's life push Lili over the edge and crack the shell she has tried so hard to build ?

This was a pretty awesome story and a quite intense read that captured the reader's attention and as I said before OMFG - the last chapter aaahhhh. This makes me have my fingers crossed , that the author is writing a Book #3.

First and foremost you MUST read Perfectly Broken prior to this book. Secondly this book is even better than the first but it also ends in one heck of a cliffhanger. Lili and Zane are fighting to be together and secrets are being revealed that have the potential to destroy their chances. Not only is Lili struggling to coming to terms with her past but Zane's past is also a constant thorn in their side as well. Tish's big brother role for Lili proves to be invaluable as does the love of a little boy in her healing process. Connor steals every scene he is in whether he is having a heart to heart or just being a kid, you absolutely adore him! I found that during the first book Lili was the aggravating one but this go round it seemed to be Zane's turn at doing dumb stuff and not learning from past mistakes. Then there is the unbelievably scorching hot sex scenes that were complimentary to the storyline not necessary to keep you interested which in a new adult genre is rare. Zane wants to protect Lili from everything that hurt her but he is still healing himself and wonders if people will ever leave them alone and let them be happy. He is tired of having to fight for everything whether it's Lili or Connor or even Lizzie he's fed up with all the drama! Lili on the other hand is the strong one and reminds Zane just who and what he is fighting for and why it is they can never give up.
This book is so well done and damn near every page is emotionally charged or thought provoking. I have never read a "rookie" author that wrote this well and was able to duplicate that "oh no" / "she did WHAT" moment repeatedly without me seeing it coming. Seriously am dying to read book three NOW!!!

I've been waiting for Unforgivably Broken for months! I read Perfectly Broken right when it released and was immediately sucked into the story. By the end, I was flipping pages and wondering what? what? How could Maegan end it like this?!

But alas, I love a good series so I've been patiently waiting for the continuation of Zane and Lili. What do I enjoy about this series?

1. Maegan is a very good writer. I was very impressed by her debut novel with the quality of her work and this book is no exception. 2. The story is a bit different. Lili is rough around the edges and so is Zane but together they are perfect. There is a bit of mystery and intrigue to the plot that keep you turning the pages. 3. I'm a sucker for best friend romances. 4. Maegan knows how to handle her drama. And lord, is there a lot of it with these characters. Sometimes it feels like the drama will never end but it's written in a way that it never seems like 'too much'.

Is that enough? No? Well, Zane is hot. Like HOT and he's not the only one. I really wanted to punch him in the face a few times but then I want to hug him too. And Lili deserves a gold star and a hug at the end of this book. The character development is quite good and even those these characters are very broken, you can't help but root for their happiness.

I'm not going to ruin the plot or provide spoilers so you'll have to read the book to see how poor Zane and Lili's pasts just keep coming back to haunt them. (I hate Lizzie!). And again, I will patiently wait for the Spring when we get the final installment of this series. Sigh...

I was hooked on these characters from Perfectly Broken and have been dying to know more for months. This book left me breathless. That ending was just... well, there are no words. I know people will say, "another cliffhanger?" Well, I LOVE it! What makes this series so great, in my opinion, is the suspense you leave us in. You keep us wondering just what the hell is going to happen. I said it before and I will say it again, hell I'll shout it from the rooftops, you should be nominated for debut author of 2014. Your writing is beyond just about anything I have ever read. When I read your books I get transported somewhere else. I'm not in my living room reading on my kindle. I'm wherever your characters are.

I loved watching the relationship grow between Zane and Lili. And, Connor-that little boy melted my heart. The ups and downs with them. The hurts from their pasts starting to come to light. Everything you start to show so the reader can understand your broken characters was so wonderfully written. I felt like I was living every moment with them. The terrifying moments had me shaking with goosebumps breaking out on my skin. It all felt real. The happy moments had me smiling. The sad moments had me crying.

There is nothing I would have changed about this book because it was written so well. And, it's not just your main characters. Your supporting characters add such a depth to your story. Without Tish and Kaz and the rest of the characters there would be a major hole. I love how to flow them in and out of the story. Another well developed story and you will continue to be a no brainer go to author for me.

To say that I loved Perfectly Broken, Broken #1, is an understatement. Too many times the sequel to an amazing book pales in comparison to the original; that is not the case here. Unforgivably Broken far exceeded my expectations. As we found out in PB, Lili is hiding secrets from her past. Because of events going on in Zane's life, and Lili's determination to make their relationship work, she has no choice but to reveal everything that she's been hiding, even though there is one thing that could put an end to her relationship with Zane.

Zane has secrets of his own from his past that he is trying to keep from Lili. My heart truly broke for him. Because of what happened to him in his past, he feels that he's not worthy of love, and tries to push Lili away, but she's determined to not let that happen. She wants to show Zane that he does deserve love, and he is worthy for her to love him.

Both Zane and Lili are dealing with life-changing events, and need each other now more than they ever have, but there are many things standing in their way: the secrets that they've both been hiding, lies between the two of them, and Zane's ex that won't go away. Add to that the fact that Jordan is still around, and the pressure and stress is getting to both of them. It leaves you wondering what else is going to be thrown their way, and can they handle it.

This book ends with a MAJOR cliffhanger that will leave you begging for the third book right away. This book is a must-read. As stated, this is part of a series, and must be read in order.

Reviewed for A Wanton Book Lover Blog....

I found the second book of the Broken series, Unforgivably Broken just as good as the first book. It did not fall short on any drama, emotion, or suspense. Lili and Zane have finally found their way to each other after dealing with numerous obstacles. Lily has to decide is she is going to support Zane deal with his ex-wife, fight to continue to keep his son and give him a loving, stable environment in addition to dealing with herself and their relationship. Zane continues to work at keeping Lili’s emotional protection walls down by showing that he can be “her person” through anything either of them might endure and by being there to support her while having to relive an emotionally draining situation in front of the public form when she was younger. This incident also sheds a lot of light on why Lili is like she is now. While reading this book there were times I was so happy for Zane and Lili, times I wanted to knock both of them upside their heads, and times I was crying. Fortunately, both Zane and Lili redeemed themselves. Maegan Able is an incredible writer to produce such powerful emotional piece of writing. There are some HUGE(!!!) plot twist in Unforgivably Broken at the end; it does end in a cliffhanger so be warned! I am holding my breath until book three comes out.
*I don’t feel you can appreciate Unforgivably Broken, Book 2 without first reading Perfectly Broken, Book 1. Besides, it is such a phenomenal book, you wouldn’t not want to read it.

Unforgivably Broken is book 2 of 3 in the Broken Series. As it is a continuation of the first book, Perfectly Broken, you need to read that story first. This series deals with the struggles of Zane and Lili, and believe me when I tell you they have more than their fair share of them. Overall this is a fantastic series. Maegan Abel really has a way with words and paints a vivid picture for the reader. She also does a great job of making all of her characters real.

When rating this book, I was torn. I gave the first book in this series 5 stars. The quality of the second book was no lower; it is still well-written. I did, however, find myself getting frustrated with Lili and Zane at points, especially Zane. It seemed that he was caught in a loop of repeating the same mistakes. This was especially true when it came to his interactions with Lizzie.

Much like the first book, this one ends in a cliffhanger. In this case it is a more frustrating. This is the trend for most literature now, and I realize that many people don’t mind these ‘edge of your seat’ cliffhangers, but felt it was worth mentioning.

Despite any minor issues I had with this book, I am anxiously awaiting the final book in the Broken Series. Maegan Abel continues to be one of the best new authors I have read in many years.

I received an ARC from Author Groupies in exchange for an honest review

I'm most grateful to have read Unforgivably Broken straight after Perfectly Broken ♥

Lili and Zane  both have issues and dark and difficult pasts , both are good at avoiding the past. BUT demons have a way of haunting you and somewhere along the line they will have to be dealt with.
These 2 characters seem like a disaster waiting to happen but in actual fact they flow together like a beautiful tragic symphony.
The drama , ups and downs continue and keeps you on your toes. Zane still makes me feel all hot and flustered and Lili , well , never judge a book by its cover ! That punk hard ass exterior is just a farce , she's beautiful and sensitive although she'll never admit to it.
Even in book#1 it was evident in the way she dealt with Connor... I really like Lili.As far as Lizzie is concerned I wish she'd go and play in the traffic on the highway! Damn! This chick is a thorn in my side !
Zane and Lili threatened my kleenex supply and in between snotfests and murderous thoughts of Lizzie my inner zen was zapped !

Another ★★★★★ read from Maegan. My heart is unforgivably broken while waiting for silently broken !

Another amazing book by Maegan Abel! This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. You will keep turning the pages just to find out what happens next!

Lili and Zane finally admit their love for each other. They focus on moving in together while Zane is fighting for complete custody of his son Conner. Both of them are healing and learning to trust again. That is until their dark pasts come back to haunt them. The man that raped Lili when she was 14 is on trial. She decides to go back to Texas for the trial and to testify. But first she must tell her past to Zane, Tish, and the rest of the family. They must hear it from her first. No sooner is her past squared away and Zane's comes to the front. No one knows the complete truth from Zane's past. He doesn't talk about it. But when Conner's mother tries to use it against him in the custody battle, Zane is forced to tell Lili about it. He is fearful that he will loose her once she knows the whole truth.

Are Lili and Zane able to work through the stressful ordeal of their past? Are they able to deal with it, heal, and move on? Will things outside their control continue to try to keep them apart?

This book ends in one hell of cliff hanger! I can not wait for book 3 to find out what happens!

OH MY GOD! I loved this book! I also hated this book, well at least the ending! I absolutely loved this book though in total honesty! I think one of the reasons I love not just this book but the first one as well is because I think on some level we all are broken. We are all struggling with something that happened in our past and reading this not only gives us hope that we might find someone that loves us no matter how broken we are but we can understand where the characters are coming from. To bring the kind of emotions that reading this book has done, words cannot describe. I am in awe with this series and I am in love with the characters. I could not put this book down once I started it. I cannot wait for the next book, in fact it cannot come out fast enough! I will not give away the ending but I will say...UGH CLIFFHANGER! The kind that leaves you breathless, I literally flipped back and forth from the last page to the acknowledgements while exclaiming, "That cannot be the ending!"
Maegan Abel, you are one of my inspirations and you are an amazing author. The only thing I can say to you otherwise is...tell me what happens....please. :-)

Another home run from Maegan Abel in the Broken series. Unforgivably Broken answered so many questions about Zane and Lili and still maintained the chemistry and suspense from the first book. I continue to love the cast of characters; they all have redeeming qualities that keep me rooting for them. Even Zane, who I loved in the first book and kind of wanted to kick in this second book. He made some pretty boneheaded choices that had me as mad as Lili, but I guess they are realistic choices given how broken our lead characters are and how clueless they are about healthy relationships. But the drama isn’t over yet. A few things were wrapped up and a few things seem to be just coming to a head. There appear to be some dark times ahead for this cast of characters and despite some predictable plot points; I am a goner for this series. Unforgivably Broken was a lot more intense than the first book and equally enjoyable. I will be once again impatiently waiting for the next release in this series. I knew there was going to be a cliffhanger ending, but damn. Maegan Abel needs to write fast. I NEED to see what trouble and drama transpires next for Lili and Zane.

Review of Unforgivably Broken (Broken #2) by Maegan Abel

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 ½ out of 5 stars

Unforgivably Broken continues on with Lili and Zane’s story. They have finally realized their feelings for each other but their pasts are tearing their world apart.

In book 2, we learn more about why Lili has been on the run and in hiding. We also learn about Zane’s heartbreaking past.

Zane struggles everyday trying to make the right decisions where Lili and his family are concerned. Unfortunately, those decisions can’t make everyone happy.

I felt so sorry for Zane. He is trying to please everyone and tries to see the good in people. Lizzie is still a major problem for Zane and Lili. There is nothing she won’t do to get Zane back.

Lili has quite a sad past as well. She is a tough, young woman.

The author did an amazing job with this book as well. It is definitely one of my favorite series that I have read so far this year.

The story flows perfectly and the author leaves us with a huge cliffhanger. I hope book 3 is finished soon because I cannot wait to find out what happens!

I won an arc of book 1, Perfectly Broken in a giveaway! Am I ever so grateful for that day. It made me bump this series to the top of my list and read it right away. I immediately fell in love with Zane and Lili and the entire story. I was so pumped and sad at the same time. Knowing there was more to come but having to wait was hard. I wanted to dive right into book 2. I was so ready to get some answers. Well...book 2 definitely answered my questions but man!!! Did it ever leave me with a ton more questions and a very uneasy feeling as to what book 3 had in store for us. I want this book even more so than I wanted book 2 to come out. Meagan you sure know how to write a suspenseful romance story. This has to be one of my favorites for sure. I am so #teamZaneLiliConnor&baby ;-) Pleaseprove me wrong in the theories I have running through my head for book 3. I'm not gonna lie. I'm a bit scared.

I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Book two in the Broken Series. Lily's past is starting to catch up with her. Time to come clean with her friends and Zane Zane still recovering from the gunshot is finding himself happy in his relationship with Lily. But his past is still haunting them. Don't want to say to much and give anything away.

I couldn't wait to read this book after the cliffhanger in the first one. Lily is such a strong character. She finally steps up and wants to do the right thing and get on with her life. Zane, what kind I say. I just wanted to reach into the book and slap the crap out of him so many times. As a character I loved to hate him. He wants honesty with Lily but at times seems unable to be honest. The cliffhanger in this book is a major one and I can't wait to read the finally book. It is driving me crazy to not know how it end.

Wow! Maegan Abel is the best at leaving you begging for more.
Book #1 in the Broken Series is PERFECTLY BROKEN which is about Zane and Lili and their developing relationship. Nothing comes easy for either of them and UNFORGIVABLY BROKEN, Book #2 in the series continues in much the same way.
Truth is difficult for both of these characters to divulge and in book #1 they start to open that can of worms. Book 2 will show you how they are building on that relationship while learning to deal with the truth that they are now uncovering.
Both books leave you in a cliffhanger so have the next book in the series readily available before you finish one.
I definitely recommend this series any reader who likes to learn more and more about their characters and just don't want to put the book down. Since this series deals with some things out of the ordinary, you won't find this series to be like any other.

This series just keeps getting better and better. With Unforgivably Broken, we get to watch first-hand how Zane and Lily wade through the murky and sometimes treacherous waters of love. These two have been through the ringer more than once and it will take every bit of faith to get them through.

I adore the fierceness of their love and how vulnerable both are when it comes to each other. They truly want to be together but fate has other ideas and I can only hope that their troubles start to subside with the conclusion.

A great second book. One that didn't hinder the story one bit like so many 'middle' books in trilogies can be. This was more than a bridge to the conclusion and delivered one heck of a cliffhanger that has me desperate to get to book 3.

A series I am thrilled to have discovered. Well worth your time.
