A solo Megatron adventure before the events of the first issue of the current series of Transformers comic by Daniel Warren Johnson that prepare the reader for the tyrant's return in the next issue. It plants several seeds for future stories with a menacing presence behind the Quintesson who tested Megatron against a massive horde of Sharkticons.

The much awaited backstory of Megatron in this new world. Not bad. And the fill-in artist has done a great job at showing the Decepticon leader in good form. There’s also the interesting revelation of a power never before seen in Transformers history. Well done!

Hell yeah! I loved getting some Megatron backstory. This series has been so consistently good and now that one of my faves is in it, it should only get better.
