Ren was a cutie pie with his shy vibe, and Maisie was sweet, but the instalove was a bit much for someone with his personality. They needed more time to get to know each other and more actual getting to know each other on page.

Spice: 5/5

Can I give this 10 stars? 100? Cause OMG!

This was exactly the reality escape I needed right now. We definitely are in the bad place if Starry Hill is only fictional. I love this island and these characters so much. They feel like my own family because the found family and community vibes are so strong in every book. All Ren's friends coming together to help him woo Maisie? One of the sweetest things ever!

I loved Ren and Maisie's personalities before they met and I loved how they just sort of fit into each other's lives and brought out the best in each other. They just needed to find the right person that accepted them for them. I related so much to Ren's anxieties. Him feeling exposed in a crowd, being worried about getting food at the party because he might take too much or too little or people might start talking to him, having low expectations to avoid being let down....yeah I felt like I was reading about myself.

Holy moly Elle...way to give my heart whiplash! One moment Ren is saying the sweetest most adorable thing ever and then he whips out this surprise, super hot dommy side....I kept going between swooning and melting onto the floor. He might be learning some new things in the bedroom but he sure knows how to use that tail and the "weapon of mass seduction"!

Maisie is such a loveable FMC! She's absolutely a ray of sunshine and brought so much happiness to Ren even before they admitted to their romantic feelings. She just wanted to be his friend because he looked like he needed one. I loved that even after she realized she was in love with Ren she wasn't willing to give up her dream of being a baker to be with him. She wanted to find a solution to being with him AND continuing with her dream.

The epilogue has me so excited for more! I can't wait to read more about that monster!

Okay, so I know I went out of order but I plan to remedy that by going back and reading the rest of Elle Sterling’s entire catalog because this was SO. FREAKING. SWEET. 🥹

Ugh, like toothachingly sweet at times. Honestly, it won’t be for everyone simply because it’s SO low-stakes, low-angst that it feels almost too laid back? But I LOVE a good character driven story, especially one with healthy communication, emotionally mature adults, and a heaping dose of sweet & spicy, steamy heat. It very much reads like a feel-good, warm and gooey wish-fulfillment story but it was exactly what I needed to read in this moment while struggling supremely heavily with depression and the world at large. It was an oasis read!

I loved everything about Ren, from his awkwardness to the way he grew into his confidence. And the way he loved Maisie? *chefs kiss* literally could never dream of a more supportive, sweet, and loving partner. And the bedroom antics that shy little virgin incubus gets up to? 😮‍💨 Chapter 21 will live in my head rent free for ever.

I really enjoyed Maisie’s character too, don’t get me wrong. I think she was the perfect foil to Ren and I really loved her openness, her exuberance, and the way she also grows over the story. I loved all the connections she made and am looking forward to learning more about the other townsfolk based on their interactions with her. The teaser after the story made me so excited for the next story (even knowing I still need to go back and read the others 🤭). I think if I had even one complaint with the story it would be that sometimes the secondhand embarrassment was too real 😅 especially in the beginning with Maisie’s lack of filter lmao. But I don’t mean it as a real complaint, it takes talent for an author to be able to illicit an embarrassment reaction, especially from me lmao.

That’s about as much as I can gush without spoiling anything lol. I’m really glad that I won a copy of the ebook on my birthday and decided to dive in! 🥰 If you also need something light-hearted and fun, or a “wholesomely horny romance” as the author puts it in the back matter, I definitely recommend this!

If I thought I loved The Orc's Sweetheart, then I am OBSESSED with this one. Ren and Maisie were so cute together, I loved them, and thought that they did such a good job talking to each other about everything (very important to the story). I also loved getting to spend more time in this cozy world. Who will be next?!

I love escaping to Starry Hill with these gorgeous characters. Ren and Maisie were super cute and I loved their story.

It was fast-paced and I thought some parts felt a bit rushed. Overall, it's another fun read from Elle Sterling, no brain power required at all!

This book was cozy vibes; rays of sunshine, the smell of clove and oranges in the breeze, and so so so tender. It was immaculate. It was beyond perfect. Every single page in this book added so much, not a single line was wasted. I’m just in awe over how much I love this book that I’m almost a bit speechless lol.

It was so nice being back in Starry Hill. This cozy village is one of my absolute FAVORITES. Surpasses all other cozy towns I’ve ever read. Maisie, our FMC, is in town helping run the local bakery while her aunt heals from an injury. Maisie is such a lovable character. I was immediately taken with her! Maisie, being an incredible baker, has been accidentally stealing some tangerines off of the grove by Ren’s house. She marches over to apologize and offer to bake for him in apology, but when she sees (what I confirm is the hottest incubus to ever exist) things change…

Ren is a shy incubus that lives a mostly reclusive and quiet life. He works all day, leaving little time to do other things.

One thing leads to another…. And suddenly we are having the cutest sex classes between Ren and Maisie! LIKE???? Who woulda thought leaning how to please another person could be so sweet, tender, and cozy?!?

What can I say about The Incubus's Angel by elle sterling except that it was amazing?
The story follows Maisie, as she comes to Starry Hill to help her aunt and uncle run their coffee shop while her aunts arm heals, and her journey will making new friends (we are looking at you here Ren!) and finding out what she really wants to do with her life.

Maisie is a ball of sunshine who loves to bake, and although I can't say I'm the constant ball of happiness and sunshine she is, I related to her love of sweets. I have a college degree in baking and pastry and so I really enjoyed her trying new recipes in the book, and related to her feeling of getting excited when people like what you bake. Watching someone eat your sweets and seeing the smile move across their face really is a special feeling I know all too well (it was the entire reason I went to culinary school) so I was excited with her, thoughtful with her and even found myself also wondering what interesting combinations one could come up with using tangerines 🍊.
Ren on the other hand? He was everything. The shy little virgin computer nerd with glasses and a nice body? Ugh. (Kind of reminds me of my husband when I first met him! 🤭) He was sweet, kind and I loved watching him slowly come out of his shell.
Ren and Maisie really meshed well in this story, and watching them go from strangers, to friends, to more was a joy.
Out of all of Elle's books, although I'm still an Enchanting the Elf stan, I really think this book is one of my favorites. Out of all the books it felt the closest to home for me, probably because Maisie and Ren felt so reminiscent of my own life that I instantly fell in love with them. And Starry Hill is such a wonderful world that Elle has created, it's just so easy to fall into it and not ever want to come up for air.
If I could give this book 10 stars out of 5 I would. It is sweet, cozy and spicy and everything someone could want out of a cozy monster romance book.

I was provided an eARC by the author in exchange for my honest review. I've read almost every book that Elle has written so far, I still have one to read but I'm hoping to get to it very soon. When you pick up a book by this author you can always count on them being super cute and spicy and having no drama and no third act breakups. They are perfect reads for when you need a little palette cleanser or when you just want to have a good time.

I love a shy inexperienced MMC and Ren is definitely giving that. He's a Virgin and Maisie is all for teaching him. I do wish we would have gotten a little more of him being anxious/shy. I feel like the transition from being shy to confident was a little too fast but still very good. I also have to point out that it kind of read like getting into a relationship will cure your anxiety and that's not how these things work. A partner can help, and Maisie does help Ren but to me it was like as soon as Ren and Maisie got together everything changed for Ren with his anxiety. Saying that though I still loved this book. I have such a great time reading about these characters. Her books are just such cozy easy reads, and I think you should give them a go if you haven't already.

If you are looking for a cozy, spicy, and fun monster romance, this one is for you.

Reading about more adventures in Starry Hill, feelings like I'm reading about home.

The love and support from everyone on the island just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

And then Ren gets on his knees.... 🤭🥵🫣🥰
And theres a whole lot of other feelings involved 🤭🤭🤭
Listen. Inexperience doesn't mean anything when there's passion and a desire to please.

I love Ren.
I adore that Incubus so much.
Maisie is also such a ray of sunshine.
I just wanna stick her in my pocket and carry her around.

They were absolutely perfect for each other.
She guided him to come out of his shell.
He was her calm, supportive anchor who helped her to be herself and explore her dreams.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE ENDING?!?!?!?!?!
THE NEXT BOOK?!?!?!
I AM SO READY 😍😍❤️❤️❤️

I would make sure you read the other Starry Hill books along with this one. You'll get a really good feel for the whole island 🥰❤️

This story is sunshine & joy in book format! The characters are delightful, the town is a place you wish you could live, the spice is delicious, the dialogue is fantastic, and the story is so sweet.

Maisie is a human baker who is in Starry Hill temporarily to help her aunt & uncle at their bakery while her aunt recovers from an arm injury.

Ren is an incubus video game coder who lives in Starry Hill and struggles with being around people.

They see each other at a wedding and both think the other is pretty but they don't interact. Then he sees her in the woods have some grown up alone time with his name on her lips. Then she shows up at his house to apologize for stealing his clementines. Things progress, information is revealed and she offers to give him grown up fun times lessons because they are friends. Because at this point, they are still both sticking to the "we're friends" narrative. Bless. It is the most deliciously fun time!

Maisie is a delightful, rambling, neurodivergent, supportive, caring woman who puts her whole heart into things and just wants to find her place to belong & thrive.

Ren is absolutely precious. He is socially awkward & inexperienced in all the ways and because he is an incubus who isn't having *connections*, his battery is running low. But once he starts having *connections*? Lord! That battery is fully charged and he is a very take charge and own the space kind of male. *fans face*

These two are absolutely amazing and I adore everything about them. Perfection!

Elle's writing is truly like a balm for the heart & mind. I love it. My brain likes the way the story flowed and the relationships between not just the two main characters but all the characters. They are so beautiful! Definitely adding to my comfort read shelf.

I received this as an ARC and although I am extremely grateful, it had zero influence on my review. This is all based on my thoughts & feelings about the story.

Five stars doesn't do this story justice. I can't possibly place a number on a world that just feels like the most welcoming hug.

We're back in the beautiful small island town of Starry Hill - this time with our sweet but shy Ren and adorable baker Maisie!

My heart has been swooning for days over how much I love these two. Maisie could be the literal definition of sunshine. She brings with her a vibrancy everywhere she goes, and puts a smile on everyone's face. Her presence in Starry Hill was felt so strongly, and didn't go unnoticed by Ren at all. Even in the moments she worked hard to keep her doubts away, the love she has for her community (and a certain Incubus) filled every space. I was smiling way too hard while cheering on her wins and watching her fall in love. My romantic heart couldn't have related to her more.

Ren is a shy but sweet Incubus who captures the attention of the sunshine baker during a chance encounter. He battles with himself, and his needs before they come together to make a deal - one that benefits them in more ways than one. Maisie is so attentive and caring, turning Ren's once shy persona into something incredibly hot and swoonworthy. I couldn't believe the light switch aura Ren developed once those feelings for Maisie were unleashed. I did my own happy dance everytime we saw his bedroom side - powerful and incredibly devoted to pleasing his angel. Elle absolutely knows how to write a good steamy scene!!

I loved how Maisie found the place she's always wanted to be in Starry Hill. Their connection towards the end just made my heart soar, and I'm excited for our next Starry Hill couple! Elle has a magic of making you wish you lived in Starry Hill yourself. I can't wait for my next trip into another beautiful world.

The book once again invites us back to the cozy, quaint island of Starry Hill. This time it tells the story of Ren - a very shy, introverted, and socially anxious incubus - and Maisie, a pure sunshine and bubbly human.

"You already said that, you fool. Try something more eloquent. 'I'm Ren,' I manage, the words coming out haltingly like even my name is a question."

Maisie decides to befriend Ren, and he is powerless to resist her - not that he wants to. We follow their journey from strangers to friends to lovers.

"But damn, he has one hell of jawline. He can probably cut glass with it if he wants to. I wonder if you can register a jaw as a weapon, because he totally could."

As usual, Elle Sterling delivers a cozy, no-angst, relaxing love story that gives all the good feels. And she does it with a twist in this book, telling the story of Ren, an incubus male so shy that he is still a virgin, despite being from a species that feeds on sexual energy. Enter Maisie, more than willing to give him that energy - and aaaaall the lessons needed for a virgin incubus.

I really liked the story, and I love that in this universe of Starry Hill, you're guaranteed a cozy love story for the ages.

I loved, loved, loved the character development - Ren coming out of his shell a bit, and Maisie letting go of some of her perpetual sunshine, allowing Ren to see the real her.

Unfortunately for me, the story dragged a bit at times - especially when focusing on the cakes. I love a cake as much as anyone with an ass like mine, but I didn’t need quite so much detail. ;)

Also, I feel like the spice never quite reached the levels you might expect from an incubus story - even allowing for him being a very shy virgin.

Rating: 4
Spice: 2.5

Tropes:
- small town
- virgin male main character
- sunshine female main character
- sexy lessons
- found family

If I liked The Orc’s Sweetheart, then I’m fully obsessed with this one. Ren and Maisie absolutely melted my heart. Their chemistry was adorable. Their communication? Top-tier. Every conversation felt meaningful and brought them closer in the sweetest, most genuine way.

And let’s talk about the vibe, this book is a warm hug in literary form. Think golden sunrays, clove and citrus on the breeze, and the kind of tenderness that makes your chest ache in the best way. It was cozy perfection from start to finish. Every page added something magical. Nothing felt wasted. I’m honestly a little unwell over how much I loved it.

Returning to Starry Hill was such a treat. This village has officially ruined all other cozy towns for me. Maisie, our sunshiney baker, is in town to help with her aunt’s bakery while she recovers. She's lovable from the first page, and when she accidentally pilfers a few tangerines from Ren’s grove, she does the only polite thing and bakes an apology.

Enter Ren, the shy, soft-spoken incubus who spends more time working than socializing. That is, until Maisie shows up at his door and flips his quiet life upside down with sugar, spice, and just a little bit of chaos.

One thing leads to another, and suddenly we’ve got the most wholesome, heart-melting sex lessons happening. Who knew an incubus learning how to please someone could be this cozy and sweet? It’s soft, it’s spicy, and somehow still has that warm, fuzzy feeling throughout.

If you're in the mood for gentle kink exploration wrapped in sugar-dusted romance, this book is your jam.

What to Expect:
✨ Cozy Monster Romance
✨ Incubus x Human
✨ Baker x Computer Nerd
✨ Virgin MMC
✨ Soft Kink Vibes: Tail Play and Somnophilia
✨ Let’s just say… his anatomy is unforgettable 🍆

Highly recommend. It’s the kind of story that leaves you swooning and stress-baking cookies at midnight.

Thank you to Elle Sterling, the author, for the ARC opportunity!

The Incubus's Angel by Elle Sterling
5 🌟

10/10. No notes. Perfection! Ren and Maisie will hold a special place in my heart for the rest of time. 🥰

There is something about Elle's writing that draws me in and soothes my brain every time I read one of her books, and The Incubus's Angel is no exception. I loved this book from the first page until the last. I immediately related to both Ren and Maisie for so many reasons. Ren's insecurities and social anxiety were so like my own, and I loved seeing how he grew through the book with Maisie. And Maisie's inner thoughts were so iconic, and it really made me feel connected to her. I spent the whole book completely enraptured by their story, and watching their relationship blossom had me kicking my feet; I was so giddy. The clear communication that they consistently had throughout the book and the explicit consent conversations were a cherry on top of their whole vibe. This book is sweet and spicy and perfect for fans of friends with benefits, spicy lessons, and, of course, found family. Elle has just really smashed it out of the park with this second instalment in the Creatures and Cottages series 🙌🏻🧡 And as a bonus, I love how Elle sets up the next book in the series at the end of this book - I can't wait!!

Thank you Elle for the absolute pleasure of being on your street team and the opportunity to read an ARC of this fantastic book! It's coming out on July 7th, and you can preorder it now on the Zon. I genuinely cannot recommend this enough, and if you haven't already, be sure to check out Tilly and Bodin's story, The Orc's Sweetheart, which is available now 💜

I needed this book in my life—super cozy, spicy, and incredibly sweet. Yes, I absolutely did!

Starry Hill is the perfect place where hearts meet, and dreams come true. It’s such a charming world, the kind you enjoy with a cup of tea and your favorite cozy blanket. This setting has all the vibes we love: fated mates, found family, insta-lust, cozy vibes, and amazing characters you’ll fall for in every single moment.

This time, we meet Ren and Maisie, and they are simply adorable in every sense of the word. From the moment I started reading, I loved them. Ren is a shy incubus who falls head over heels the moment he sees the beautiful human, Maisie, arriving at the island. And Maisie? She’s instantly drawn to Ren too. Her sweet and radiant energy perfectly complements Ren, helping each other see they both deserve all the love in the world.

Ren goes through a spicy transformation halfway through the story—hello, sexy incubus! 😍 He becomes this confident, seductive version of himself that’s impossible not to love. But he never loses his tenderness and attentiveness. Maisie, on the other hand, is a little ray of sunshine who lights up everyone’s day. I adored her interactions with the rest of the cast!

And yes… this book is spicy, so be prepared 🔥. Also, if you’re a fan of red velvet anything, this book will have an extra treat for you. 😏

I can’t wait for the next story in this series—those epilogues always leave me wanting more! Starry Hill has officially become my dream fictional world. ✨

The Incubus’s Angel is cozy monster romance perfection. If you're looking for something sweet and spicy, Elle Sterling delivers again with a story that feels like a warm hug with a tail.

Maisie is sunshine personified: bubbly, big-hearted, and unapologetically herself. Ren is her perfect opposite, shy, anxious, a little reclusive, and utterly lovable from the moment he peeks out behind his computer screens and low social battery. Watching these two go from strangers to friends to very enthusiastic lovers (with lessons, no less) was an absolute delight.

Their dynamic is so thoughtfully written, tender and respectful communication filled with genuine care. The spice is deliciously fun. Ren’s growth from hesitant virgin to confident, take-charge incubus had me fanning myself one minute and swooning the next. And Maisie? She never once dims her light, she stands firm in her dreams and makes space for love.

The small-town island setting of Starry Hill is its own kind of magic. Familiar characters pop in and out, adding warmth and a sense of community without. The found family energy is strong, and the way the town rallies around its people is beautiful.

This book was pure serotonin. Cozy, comforting, joyfully spicy, and unexpectedly meaningful. Elle’s writing continues to be a balm for anxious brains and romantic hearts. If you loved The Orc’s Sweetheart, this one raises the bar even higher.

Thank you to the author for this advance copy.

This was so amazing! I have the pleasure of being on Elle’s Street team and getting all sorts of teasers and art for this book and it absolutely lived up to expectations. Thank you Elle for the ARC! I absolutely fell in love with Starry Hill from book 1 but this is 100% my favorite! Ren was just my type, sexy, nerdy and shy until he got comfortable and then was all confidence and possessiveness. He was the perfect combo of nerdy cute and smoldering sex appeal. He was so eager to please as well, I loved seeing Maisie get him to open up more. Maisie was also a great combo of strong and feminine, leaning into her strengths of baking but also determined to stand on her own two feet.

All the baking scenes were a pleasure, from someone who used to work in a bakery! And the spice, OH THE SPICE! It was perfectly paced since Ren is a virgin, working their way up through first with each other. There was so much to enjoy, from tail play, horn sensitivity, nipple Os, light choking, flavored *release*, special equipment and Somno TO NAME A FEW! There was always something delicious to enjoy, between Maisie’s bakes or the amazing spicy scenes, I was wholly satisfied by everything. I 100% recommend this book, specifically after book 1 and the novella!

The next installment in the creatures and cottages series was per usual, absolutely spicy and adorable. Maisie and Ren were just cute as buttons. Their friendship was quick to blossom into some delicious spiciness, and then grew to be an absolutely perfect and sweet love story!

I loved how unapologetic Maisie was. She was kind and sweet and fun and flirty! And an amazing baker (seriously, I want her to make me a gf birthday cake!)

Ren, ugh, he was just utter perfection. He was so shy and unsure, and I loved watching him grow, in himself and his confidence! And boy oh boy, when he did 🥵

The spice in the story was absolutely delicious! We got these really cute spicy moments, but by the end? I was SWEATING. Ren? Whew. You killed me in the best way!

It was so fun seeing past characters pop up, like Bodin and Tilly, but also getting to expand on some characters, like Marisol and Beck! I'm so hoping we get books about some of them 👀👀

All in all, another absolutely cute and spicy monster romance!

“I’m still holding fast to one day getting my own sunshine.”

After reading the first book of this series, I was so excited for this one! Again, I want to be the new resident in Starry Hill because it sounds so peaceful and tranquil.

Ren and Maisie were both wonderful characters and I loved reading about their dynamic and their relationship grew. It was cute and sweet. Seeing both Ren and Maisie becoming confident in their own selves and internal issues they were facing was wonderful to read about.

The book was also spicy! With their “lessons” the spicy scenes were entertaining with the tail play, choking and horn sensitivity. I learned some new things not only about what a demon tastes like, but a few new things to add to my own list.

I also learned new things about baking surprisingly! As someone who enjoys baking to help reduce my stress, it was a treat to read all about Maisie’s baking adventures!

I highly recommend this book, it was a nice sweet and cute read. Thank you so much for the ARC, I greatly appreciate it!

I absolutely loved reading this book!!it was a romance based story and I loved that their relationship was the main focus of the story. I had the best time getting to know Ren and Maisie and found them to be the sweetest creatures!! Ren was a shy incubus that struggled to socialize with others but from the moment he sees Maisie he knows he wants her even if he isn't sure how to make her his just yet! Maisie was such a sweet and lovable character that struggled to find her filter at times and I loved her for it! I loved that Ren was the inexperienced one in this story and that Maisie was the one who was willing to teach him. 😏 This was a perfectly cozy and spicy book and I highly recommend it!

“You don’t mind waiting?” “I’d wait forever and a day for you.”

Maisie's in Starry Hill to help her aunt manage the town's bakery. She met Ren, the shy introverted incubus, and they striked up a friendship that leads to more.

This was sweet and wholesome in a book form.

Maisie's been described as sunshine-personified and I wholeheartedly agree. I was really looking forward to this story ever since I read the first book in the series and this intersected with the second book too.

The dynamic between the main characters was great. They had this attraction then built a solid foundation of being friends before becoming more. I love seeing their journey and how they built each other's up by pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and being supportive of one another.

The whole book just gave off warm, cozy cottage core vibes with low stakes so it's very fun palate cleanser.

I received an ARC but all thoughts are my own.

This was such a great follow up to book one! I loved Ren and Maisie. They were such a great opposites attract couple. Maisie had such a bubbly personality and it paired perfectly with shy Ren. I loved how Maisie helped bring Ren out of his shell but never pushed him. She was just there to lend her support and be his friend.

It was a pleasure to watch Ren become more confident and comfortable not only with himself, but being part of the island. I cheered when he went to Guy's Night to hang out with everyone, and his friendship with Beck. The surprise he put together for Maisie had me swooning!

This was such a feel good book. If you're looking for a story to help you escape the world for a bit, this is the perfect book. It was sweet but spicy, no drama, and a quick read. The pacing was great, the side characters were fantastic as always, and Elle did a great job of setting up the next book.

5/5 ⭐️s
🌶️🌶️ - medium spice

LOVES:
- Starting with Tilly and Bodin’s wedding (from book 1) was perfect 🥹 and I appreciated their cameos throughout
- The dynamic between them is so cute. Ren is painfully shy at first and Maisie is so sweet and friendly that she just becomes his friend so easily
- Speaking of, Maisie handled Ren’s entire “situation” with such care, maturity, and mindfulness. She was a class act 👌
- The fact that he was able to feel the change in her arousal while doing things to her really amped things up 🔥 imagine if that were the case for real live men 😱
- The somnophilia (basically, involving a sleeping person) in this was done so well 🥵
- The hoops Ren jumped through to make it possible for Maisie to stay in Starry Hill 🥰 *swoon*

This was such a joy to read and I love this little community. I can’t wait to see the stories for all these other sweet characters. That epilogue grabbed my interest and shifted it into hyper gear! I need the next, STAT.

Pack your bags, it's time to head back to Starry Hill !

It felt so good to head back there. The inhabitants of this cozy island are just so welcoming. You'll want to live there.

I've been wanting to read about Ren since I've meet him in the first book. His shyness compelled me.

Ren and Maisie's love story was just so beautiful. They felt perfect for each other from the very beginning.

Maisie was his perfect counterpart. With her sunshiny personality and her supportive nature, she was the perfect one to help him.

And Ren helped by grounding her and calming her when her thoughts kept spiralling.

Thank you so much for the free digital ARC for an honest review. I loved it.

Ren lives a quiet life on the quaint island of Starry Hill. That's until Maisie with her big smiles and even bigger heart waltzes into the tangerine grove surrounding his cottage. Will the sunshiny human be able to help the shy Ren with his rather delicate problem? And what if once isn't enough?

These two!! I love them with all my heart. Elle, master of squishy, swoony, funny and hot monster romance strikes again. Ren and Maisie have amazing chemistry and I love how they complete each other's characters. Maisie, helping Ren to get out of his comfort zone more and more and Ren seeing Maisie for the talented baker she is an encouraging her to go after her dreams.
If you like opposites attract, (found) family, hilarious inner monologues, spicy lessons and lots of heart, go read this series asap.

✨This is book 2 in the Creatures & Cottages series. I could not put this book down. I’m not even joking, I finished this in 3.5 hours. It was SO GOOD.

The main characters (Maisie and Ren) are so relatable. I felt so in touch with Maisie’s character, her personality and mine are very similar so I loved seeing her find her peace and calm with Ren. Ren is just so sweet and inexperienced and I loved watching his confidence grow with Maise. 😭💖

The spice was SPICY. Like holy COW. 🥵 5/5 spice.
The tropes are also some of my absolute FAVORITES:
🌼friends with benefits 🌼small town 🌼cottage core
🌼cozy rom com 🌼she teaches him lessonnnsss 👀

Overall I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a short, sweet and steamy monster romance in the most dreamy cottage core setting. Pack your bags because you’ll wanna move to Starry Hill immediately!!🍊🏡💖🌼♥️🔥

Gleeful Goblin Review: I want to live in Starry Hill. Who needs reality, especially this timeline when you could live and love in Starry Hill? This story has SO MUCH "found family" influence that it could melt even a heart made of stone. You get such a strong sense of community, friendship, and love from all these characters. Our main characters, Ren and Maisie are both loveable and sweet individuals and together it's just wholesomeness and love squared. They bring out the absolute best in each other which is pretty much the best thing you could want from a relationship is someone who is on your team, pushes you in good ways, supports you, and loves you so very much. And these two exemplify those characteristics which is heart meltingly wonderful. This story put my head and my heart in the clouds and I never want to come down. 5/5 Stars

The Incubus’s Angel is the second book in Elle Sterling’s charming Creatures and Cottages series, and I was so excited for Maisie and Ren’s story after that teasing epilogue in The Orc’s Sweetheart. And let me tell you—this book did not disappoint.

Maisie’s bubbly sunshine energy paired with Ren’s quiet, introverted vibe? Absolute perfection. They balance each other beautifully, and watching their relationship bloom was such a cozy, feel-good experience.

I truly wish Starry Hill was real—it’s the kind of magical, welcoming world you just want to escape to again and again. I’ve completely fallen for all the quirky, lovable characters in this series and cannot wait to see who’s next!

Huge thanks to Elle Sterling for the pleasure of reading an ARC!
