It all started when I was a kid. I developed a love of raspberry jam (still love it) and a love of writing (ditto on that one too).
I wrote my first book at the ripe old age of nine. It was eight whole pages! Unfortunately, it was a shameless rip-off of Black Beauty. What can I say? Like most girls, I loved horses (yep, still do). For my fifth-grade career day, I declared my desire to become a rich and famous author. Years later, I’m pleased to have achieved the “author” part of that goal.
One of my favorite things about writing is the research part! I know, it’s a bit of a surprise to some folks, because it sounds suspiciously like “homework”. But for me, it’s so much fun! I truly enjoy researching the backgrounds and careers of the characters in my novels and of course the plot lines. It's one way to live many lives all at once.
And what better inspiration than beautiful northern California, where I live with my writer husband, Roger (birds of a feather as they say). I’ve also lived on the East Coast and in the Navajo Nation, the setting for several of my novels. Like most women of my generation, I wish the kids would visit more often. When they’re not around, I enjoy playing with my imaginary friends, who take me on all kinds of adventures.

DANNY’S GIRL—Manon is trying to escape an abusive relationship. She is literally speeding away to save her life. When she is stopped by Danny, a policeman, the last thing she wants is another man in her life. Danny is used to protecting people and can see how scared she is. He promises her that is she stops running he will protect her. Manon and Danny are able to form a sweet friendship built on trust. The only problem is they both have insecurities that get in the way.....this was a great book and the first I have read of Susan's. I see there are other books in this series I will be looking into the others because this was worth the read!
COME TO ME—I loved this book! I know I say that EVERYTIME but I really really love them all! Rob Definitely needed his own story. I mean come on he is a retired professional athlete he has to end up with a girl! I thought that little Wren was a perfect fit for him. They have a great story! And I am glad that Rob was able to get over his insecurities and know that he was worthy of any girl that would have him! I love all of the people in the little town if Fircrest and I like that if you get more of Shannon’s books you get to read about each one individually and get to know them better. It was another great book to add to my collection. I can’t wait to read the next one!
TEMPORARY BRIDESMAID--Always a bridesmaid never a bride...this is the case with Jenny. Now in her late 30's and living in Utah, as a single woman, she is in a tough spot. She decides to swear off men all together when he office hires a temp. Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome...she has never been so flustered or mean in her life......this was a great read as well! I hadn't read any others of LuAnn's books. She had a real talent for story telling! I was sad to read of her passing not long ago and after reading one of her books I see how much she will be missed! Love the triple treat sets this was another must read set!

Come To Me
I have been waiting for this series to come out for awhile, and the first book was definitely worth the wait!! This book will have you hooked from the first page until the last! Once you pick this book up, it is impossible to put down!!! The story is fun, charming, and will leave you smiling!!
Words of advice, don't read this book when you are hungry! Throughout this book she describes the most delicious dishes, that will make you instantly crave them!!
Shannon does such a good job of describing the characters, it makes it easy to picture them in your head! The new characters she introduces you to in this book are fun, witty, and have loveable personalities!! There is one that you feel like slapping however! She also brings familiar characters from the Dessert series into the book! This is always a fun thing, because it's like catching up with old friends!! I love how Shannon shows you another side of Rob in this story, he is definitely more swoon worthy in this book!!
The way she creates the scenes in the story makes you feel like you are there along with the characters! You can picture everything in your head, her descriptions and details are amazing!
This is a fun read, and if you are like me you will finish it in no time! It will also leave you giddy for the next books to come out!!

Great stories
Each story had a unique twist and plot. All very driven! Loved the chemistry lad n clean plots. The third story was a real surprise.
