The fairy tale is over. The dragons are back for real.
And for revenge.
For Ynarra, things couldn’t get worse. Until they did.
Torren, the mysterious, intriguing, and okay—hot—Curator has been shot twice in the chest and left to die on a Crystalbay pier. Weston—Ynarra’s dearest and best friend—is missing. Pax, her secret and forbidden lover, has betrayed her. Zavier, the sketchy advisor to the queen of Crystalbay, has imprisoned her.
With danger and uncertainty around every corner, Ynarra and her small band of red-collared fugitives are finally free from their tower prison. But they now find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and newly-imprisoned inside of a city on fire.
Dragons are loose, armies are clashing in the streets, and the city’s skyscraping black towers of glass and steel are crashing to the ground.
Pursued through the burning city by the Paladins and with the dragons wreaking havoc, all seems lost…until Ynarra hears a strange voice inside her head.
She doesn’t know whose voice it is or why she keeps hearing it. All she knows is that it’s got a mission for
Return to Stormport.
Revive the dead.
Unite the dragons.
Home is right across the river, but it might as well be a million miles and an entire realm away.
The dead are…well, dead.
As for the dragons—after five hundred years, they’re back in a blaze of fury.
But have they returned to save the world or to burn it to ashes?

Since reading the first book Rekindled, I've been super excited for more in this series.
The fairy tale is over. The dragons are back for real. And for revenge.
This one picks up right where the pervious book ended, with Ynarra in prison. But that doesn't last for long and Ynarra along with her small brand of fugitives have escaped their tower prison.
There seems to be one issue with that though- the dragons are loose, wreaking havoc and wanting revenge. Ynarra has a mission though: Return to Stormport. Revive the dead. Unite the dragons. It's the voice she keeps hearing in her head- and she's not sure whose it is.
This mission is one she's not sure how she'll be able to complete with the war raging on around her.
Have the dragons returned to save the world or to burn it to ashes?
I'm super excited to see where this series goes and I cannot wait for the next one!
A ton to unpack in this book. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but wow. It’s getting really good and I can’t wait to see where the next book takes me.
