I thought it was too late. I thought our story had already been written.

College sophomore Brooke Anderson thought she had it all − a loving family, her sexy high school sweetheart, a supportive, quick-witted best friend and dreams of being the next hotshot reporter for the Washington Post.

Fate had something else in mind when Brooke collided with the devastatingly handsome upperclassman, Rich Davis. Rich was cocky, conceited and arrogant. He was everything that Brooke didn’t want, but Rich never gave her the option. He had already made the choice to be, at the very least, her friend. Would Brooke accept this egotistical man’s friendship? Would she choose to want more? Would it be too late if she did?

Fast forward nearly ten years. Brooke’s life hadn’t played out quite as she had envisioned it. She was suffering from the heartbreaking loss of her mother, her high school sweetheart was long gone, and her dreams of the Washington Post had turned into a career at a small town paper. Brooke decided it was time to follow her dreams. If she couldn’t be happy in love, at least she could be happy in life.

Brooke’s dreams brought her to the lobby of the Washington Post where fate intervened once again as she collided with none other than the devastatingly handsome Rich Davis. As her potential employer, Rich now seemed off-limits. Brooke wanted her successful career more than a chance at love. But, was it really her choice to make, or was it beyond her control?

Maybe our story is, in fact, Unwritten

I was lucky enough to receive an early copy of this book through a blog. I feel like I should send them money for it, it was that good! The feels are all there and all of the throwback pop culture was so much fun to relive! I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I got angry. It had all of the makings of a fabulous book! I cannot wait to see what comes next from this author! No, REALLY, I CANNOT WAIT! Fabulous debut!

What an amazing book this is!!

Unwritten is just that..Amazing..

I loved the beginning with its time twists and flashbacks!! It was a bit of a risky move to start the book this way, but boy wasn’t it successful and one of a kind?!! It is intriguing and very attractive!

I also loved the fact that we saw how they met and how their feelings evolved. I always love when I see their beginning and MC Decker gave that to us. We didn’t linger too much, but at the same time we saw everything we needed to see. Take a glimpse of the past and focus on the present and future! That’s what books are supposed to give us and MC Decker has grasped and embraced that in a certainly wonderful way.

The story is incredibly beautiful!! There is no other adjective better to describe it. It is utterly beautiful and breathtaking.

Unwritten is the ultimate romance with dramatic twists!

The characters are strong and able to make us love them and sympathize with them. We may not always understand them or not always agree with them, but we continue to love them. For instance, I wanted to pull Brooke’s hair and slap Rich’s head a few times, but I still adored them! Because that’s another thing books are supposed to do. Make us addicted to the story no matter what the characters do and how we feel about it. Make us love them and their story unconditionally. And Unwritten is a master of that!

The story has lots of twists and our characters really grow up throughout the book, so I am not going to analyze our characters or delve into the story more than this. There are too many things to see and experience that only by reading the book should you be able to do that the right way.

There are 3 points that I did not like as much. First of all, I had no idea that this book is the first of a series, so I got a little frustrated with the ending. I am not sure why I didn’t know, but I didn’t and it really aggravated me because I wanted their HEA. But oh well we must wait for Unscripted, Book #2. Second of all, I love Romance , I really do. But some of the lines seemed little cheesy. Some may call it very romantic but I found some lines a bit cheesy. Last of all, there were some reactions from our characters that seemed more of a teenager’s than an adult’s, especially from Brooke. I still love that lady, but she got crazied few times.
In conclusion, YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK AND SERIES!!

Unwritten is a fantastic book and it’s only MC Decker’s debut and the first book of Brooke’s and Rich’s story!!

Congratulations to the author for such an amazing debut!!

And Unwritten may be one of the best books of the year. It certainly has one of the best stories of the year!

So, 4.5 Glamourous Stars go to Unwritten!

3.5 for this debut novel!!

Unwritten is the debut novel by author M.C. Decker and is the first in her Unspoken series. I can’t wait to introduce you to Brooke and Rich!

Brooke is an only child, as is her best friend Cassidy. These two are like peas in a pod and they just make me laugh and reminisce about my childhood friendships.

“She was my breath of fresh air and I was her stable rock.”

Getting to see the two of them in college brought back so many memories for me…anyone in their early to mid thirties will be able to relate to all the pop culture references. I may or may not have been listening to some throw back music after I finished the book LOL

During college Brooke goes through heartbreak, lust, and heartbreak again. Her relationship with her friend Rich was fun and flirty,. He was a sweet guy and they appeared to be good for one another…until he graduated and dropped from her existence.

We fast forward 10+ years when Brooke and Rich meet again. Brooke still seems to be the same girl from college, just more mature. Rich on the other hand….well let’s see his alpha/slightly arrogant a$$ side shall we…

“Don’t tease me, sweetheart. it’s taking all my willpower not to rip that skirt off you and bend you over my desk right now.”

Brooke and Rich kind of pick up where they left off, their easy conversations, teasing, and flirting come so natural. Brooke is really at ease with him, outside of the office at least….

“I was young and carefree in Rich’s strong embrace, as though the last ten years of my life hadn’t happened.”

Brooke does not want to jeopardize her career with an interoffice relationship with the boss. She asks for space, this is her dream job and she doesn’t want to lose it, but is it worth losing Rich??

“Rich was giving me exactly what I wanted, but it still hurt.”

The story follows Rich and Brooke as they try to find their place with one another and be where they truly belong. Can they make this work? Read and find out if their future is still, Unwritten :)

Aside from my obvious complaint that this formula has been done to death, the author's writing style was hard for me to stomach. She would have the characters say an entire paragraph without taking a breath, where normally writers break it up by describing an action. Also, there were many contradictions in her descriptors (i.e., 'gently plunged'. Which is it? Was it gentle or did he plunge?). The inner dialogue being in italics also bothered me. She was telling the story in first person, there was no need for her thoughts to be in italics in my opinion. I could go on, but those were the ones that bothered me the most.

All in all, the story had potential, but it was too slow-moving and just not for me.

the book had made me very interested and excited to begin.maybe thats why it did not actually reach up there.but still it was a great read.
10 years ago when brook was not available Rich (who was a jerk to her) asked her on a date she declined. She broke his heart. When she was available he didnt want to be the rebound guy and told her he would wait but when she was ready he says he has a girlfriend.he broke her heart.
Now 10 years later after no contact whatsoever they meet and he claims to have feelings for her.she declines because he is her boss.he tells her he'll wait. Then he sees him flirting with the staff.so she is devastated and thinks this a recap of the past.

4.5 Stars of Holy Crap, Batman!

Such a great story of fate, destiny, soul-mates...however you want to believe we meet those we are meant to meet.

College is where this begins with Rich and Brooke. The "hottie McA**hole" and the girl with the long distance boyfriend. Rich is goal driven and determined to succeed. Brooke is the girl who knows what she wants from her life.

We travel with Brooke and Rich through college with Brooke as the narrator. Then we follow along until later in life when Brooke decides she is ready to take the next step in her life and pursue her dream job. She has though about Rich many times through the years and just can't seem to shake the chance that got away. Being a reporter for The Washington Post is her dream and the interview is set. Guess who she literally runs into, Rich! Will these two finally figure out what could be? Is it possible to have the dream job and the dream guy?

Wonderful story, I was sucked right in and couldn't put it down. It does end in a cliffy, for those who do not like cliffhangers, but it is so worth the journey and the wait for the next one. Rich is the perfect Alpha romantic! Brooke is a tad annoying sometimes and you just want to shake her and say "wake up, sister!"

Definitely a new favorite for me!

Unwritten follows the story of journalists Brooke Anderson and Rich Davis, their journey beginning in college where they build a close friendship. They both feel something more, but they lose touch after Rich’s graduation and are reunited 10 years later when Brooke interviews for her dream job at the Washington Post. The years apart have not cooled the heat that courses between them. Brooke is faced with choosing her career or a future with Rich. Is it possible for her to have both?

I was so lucky to read an advanced copy of Unwritten, and it is fantastic! There’s tension between Brooke and Rich from their first encounter, and it’s as fun as it is frustrating (in a good way) watching their relationship develop…and watching Rich transform from “Hotty McAsshole” to my newest book boyfriend. Brooke and Rich’s journey took my emotions all over the place. I felt the full spectrum from laughter to anger to tears, and the chemistry between Brooke and Rich is palpable.

The ending…I can’t even talk about it. It left me speechless, and my heart will NEVER be the same. I need more ASAP! M.C. Decker’s debut novel is fabulous, and I can assure you that I’ll read anything else she writes!

Wow, Unwritten is a great story. Unwritten is a wonderful written story that takes us through the journey of Brooke and Rich. We get the story of how they meet and how they reconnect. I loved Brooke and her best friend Cassidy. Their relationship is the prefect best friend relationship. Together they call Rich Mr. Gorgeous A-hole, Hottie Mc A-hole, and I'm pretty sure I forget one of their nicknames for him. Rich calls Brooke Babbling Brooke. The nickname and funny banter between the character made them likable and seem like real people.

Brooke and Rich reconnect after ten years and sparks fly. This time Brooke tries to fight her attraction for Rich but it's no use. Just when you think everything is going to be great between Brooke and Rich, we get hit with a huge cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the next one, Unscripted.

To have been a part of this journey has been amazing! This book is like nothing I have ever read which makes it fabulous from the start. M.C. really taps into your inner emotions, takes you back in some years, pulls you forward to the present and taking a ride with Brooke and Rich.
So proud of this book and can't wait for the next installment. Your heart will not be the same when you are finished and that is a good thing. Left open and emotional, perfection in an amazing story!

Incredibly written story of true love that can take a long time, to come to be. Watching Rich and Brooke finally come together had it all, heartache, a little humor. Be prepared for quite a cliffhanger as well!

Unwritten is the debut novel from M.C. Decker, and I really enjoyed this story. I thought that it was well written and interesting, and I didn't want to put this one down at all. I will warn you though that this is not a standalone novel as I had thought and is actually the first in a series. Yes that means it ends with a huge cliffhanger that I was completely unprepared for and it just about killed me. It looks as though the next book in the series Unscripted will be out sometime in 2015. Despite the ending that I wasn't ready for, I thought that M.C. Decker did a great job on her debut novel and I am looking forward to reading more from her.

Brooke Anderson had a great life, and was on track to making all of her dreams come true. Then she literally ran into Rich Davis, and everything changed for her. Despite their initial and less than great meeting, Rich and Brooke got to know one another and continued to get closer. Despite their feelings for one another, things between them always stayed just friends due to one reason or another. Now several years later, they haven't spoken once until Brooke shows up to a job interview at The Washington Post where she has always dreamed of working. The feelings and attraction between them resurface and both are wanting to have each other in a way they never have before. While Rich will stop at nothing to finally make Brooke his, Brooke is apprehensive about starting anything due to the fact that she will now be working for him. But can she really deny everything that is between them and what her heart wants regardless of what her head tells her?

I liked both Rich and Brooke a lot. I thought that they both made some really dumb mistakes, but I also saw their reasons for them. Rich comes off as an arrogant jerk at first, and I really was worried that I was going to hate him. But he won me over just as he won Brooke over, and I really began to like him. He was really smart and dedicated and I loved his confidence. He expected greatness out of others, but he was also living up to that himself. Brooke was smart as well, and I really loved that they could connect through their love of writing and editing. These two connected on every single level, and I like that Brooke could hold her own with Rich. She was a strong and independent woman, and I really thought that she was a great heroine. I felt so badly at times for Brooke and Rich both. They had some issues with timing and outside influences, and it really seemed as though their stars would never align. But I knew these two were perfect for one another and needed to end up together, so I just had to have faith that they would find their way to each other at the end of their solo journeys.

Overall, I really did enjoy this story and I loved pretty much everything about it. Besides the cliffhanger ending though, there were a few small things that kept this book from being a five star read for me. I felt like at times both Rich and Brooke acted childishly, especially Brooke. Her actions felt like those of a teenager rather than an adult, and I wanted to tell her to get a grip and act her age. Luckily this wasn't the majority of the story or anything, and it was only occasionally. I also felt as though Rich would do things at times that completely contradicted what he would say to Brooke. While he was telling her he would wait for her and that their story wasn't over, he would date others and lose touch with her. He also seemed to not really try to convince her of what could be between them, and at times it felt like he gave up on her and them far too easily. Of course he would eventually try to make things right and move forward, but it was frustrating at times that he would seem almost uninterested in her. I think that M.C. Decker had a really solid debut in Unwritten though, and I will definitely be stalking online to see when the next book comes out. I think if you know there is more coming and aren't expecting an HEA at the end of this book that it would completely change how you feel at the end of this story. I was disappointed with where it ended because I loved these characters at that point and really wanted to see them happy. The fact that it was such a huge cliffhanger left my emotions running wild and I honestly need to know what happens next. These two will be on my mind until I get the next installment in their story, and I just hope that I don't have to wait too long or I might go crazy. I would definitely recommend this story, and I think that M.C. Decker has a promising writing career ahead of her. I know I will be looking forward to seeing what she writes in the future.

When I was asked to read Unwritten for an honest review I was like sure… I love college romance stories and the whole coming of age thing so why not! MC Decker totally blew away my expectations and I found myself falling in love with Brook and Rich’s story. I was rooting for them to find their way and make things work. The road for love is not always an easy one and the road to self-discovery will have high and lows and everywhere in-between! So many times I found myself banging my head against the wall because Brooke can be frustrating! She’s stubborn and at times I did find myself wanting to slap her but in the end, I wouldn’t change a thing! I love stories that bring out those emotions in you and even if its frustration. I cannot wait to see what is in store from MC Decker and will be following her works as she totally sucked me in and didn’t let go into the very end! This is part of a series and does end in a cliff but for me…. I didn’t mind it. I felt like there was more to their story and I cannot wait to see what’s next!

The story starts with Brooke Anderson interviewing for her dream job. She has put her life on hold for so many years to help out others but after so many years she decides to tackle her dreams, a job with The Washington Post. She has dreamed about working there and the last person she expected to run into was the one person from her past. She is immediately thrown back to her college years and when she first met Rich Davis. He was the arrogant teacher’s pet and they were paired up to work on a project together. Everything about him bothered her. He was the perfect male specimen that was the overachiever. Being the same major they end up working together on the school newspaper and became good friends. Brooke was in love with her high school boyfriend who was at a different college and was attempting to make the long distance relationship work. Until it finally didn’t. Rich thought he could finally have a chance with Brooke but things never worked out. He said he would wait for her but life goes on and he didn’t…. Or so she thought…

Fast forward back to the present, Rich is offering Brooke an opportunity to work for the Post and to have to just spend one night with him. To see if the fireworks that were there years ago are still there. Brooke knows this is her one shot to prove she deserves a job at the prestigious Washington Post and does not want to blow it because of a college crush.

“This has always been my dream job and I can’t mess that up now for just one incredible night under the sheets with him. Or could I? Maybe we could just pretend to be strangers tonight… as Rich suggested. And tomorrow would be new day.”

Could they keep a professional working relationship after they do the deed?? They had off the chart chemistry ten years prior just being friends; would they be able to have just one night? Once they are together, would Brooke’s coworkers treat her different because she was with the boss? Brooke thinks she’s doing right by pushing Rich away and following her dream job. This is where my frustrations come in!! Rich… gah…. I just fell for him, hook line and sinker. I wanted for Brooke to just say YES and let fate take its course but sometimes our brain thinks it knows best and not the heart.

“I know I messed up, but there is no happily ever after for us. That shit just doesn’t exist in my world. I couldn’t let it.”

Unwritten is a great coming of age story that had me turning the pages of my kindle at lightning speed! It’s funny, has great dialogue, and at times made me want to yell and scream at my kindle. All the qualities I love in a book! I will just leave you with this quote that will have you swooning over Rich just like I did!

Meeting you that day by the elevator was fate. Becoming your friend was by choice which took a whole lot of work, might I add. But, falling in love with you was beyond my control, sweets.”

This book......I don't even know where to start. I am so kicking myself right now for waiting as long as I did to read this book. This one of those books, that just leaves me without words...

Unwritten is a beautifully written story about second chances and missed opportunities. It follows the main characters Brooke and Rich when they first meet in college. It was not really love at first sight for Brooke, but as she got to know Rich, she found that Rich wasn't so bad. However, the timing just wasn't right and when it finally was, Brooke missed her chance. Now, 11 years have passed and Rich and Brooke are once again thrown together. This time, Rich vows that he's not going to let Brooke get away......Will Brooke finally take a chance on Rich or will this be another missed opportunity???

Brooke....Ugh, she was so stubborn!! She frustrated me so much. I completely understand her feelings and where she was coming from. This is one of those situations where as I'm reading I'm like "Come on Brooke, Snap out of it. You're going to miss this amazing opportunity". But, by the end of the book, I was definitely pleased with how far Brooke had come since the beginning of the book.

And Rich....I wasn't too sure about him in the beginning. But, he definitely proved me wrong. And I LOVE when characters prove me wrong. Rich was still arrogant when he reconnected with Brooke, but this time, his arrogance was more confidence. I really liked the more grown up Rich :)

The tension between Rich and Brooke was really great. It was very palpable and I loved the whole will they, won't they. The banter between Rich and Brooke was fantastic and their chemistry undeniable. I loved the slow build of their romance and was so thrilled when Brooke finally gave in to what was staring her in the face all along. My only complaint is that I did find some of the dialogue to be a little cheesy. That being said there was plenty for me to swoon over and I was easily able to look past the cheese.

Lets talk about the end.....I was in now way prepared for the book to end like that! It was definitely a brutal cliffhanger. All I can think right now is that I NEED that next book!!!

Unwritten is a fast paced and captivating read. It has excellent angst, romance, frustrating characters, and steam. There are also some really great twists and turns along the way. Unwritten is the debut novel for M.C. Decker and I am super excited to read more from this upcoming author. If you've been thinking about reading this book, read it today. Don't wait as long as I did....

Unwritten is an "up all night, must finish right now, sleep not needed" kind of book. It spans about twelve years and is the story of taking a chance on love the second time around.

Brooke Anderson meets Rich Davis aka Mr. Gorgeous Asshole aka Hotty McAsshole aka Douche Monkey Davis on her way to journalism class at Western Michigan University and he makes an everlasting impression (as if you couldn't tell from the nicknames). These two butt heads like nobody's business and it takes them awhile to warm up to one another, both being stubborn as mules. Well, several missed opportunities, stubbornness and graduation leads up to a reunion that Brooke never expected. Interviewing with the Washington Post, she once again comes fact to face with the Rich as her potential boss and doesn't know what to do!

Here she has the ultimate opportunity to get the two things that she's wanted most in all the world. A position with a top newspaper, her dream job, or to finally be with Rich. Dilemma dilemma. Oh my goodness these two had me totally going nuts the entire book. Will they get together? Is it meant to be? Should they try again? And those love scenes!! Hello Smokin hot Kindle!

"Whoever said the G-spot doesn't exist has never done that before."

I'm completely gushing right now because I loved the book. Normally this type or "are we, are we not" books completely infuriate me but MC Decker made it work and so very well. So many laugh out loud moments too. I loved Brooke's best friend Cassidy and really want her to have her own book. She's too funny not to have her own Happily Ever After.

"I thought I was going to have to fight a bear for you. I'd fight a bear for you, you know? Not a grizzly, or brown bear...or a koala...But like a Care Bear? I'd fight one of those sonsabitches for you."

Little Kaitlyn is adorable and Rich had me swooning when they interacted. Even Brooke was getting swoony.

"I swear in that moment I felt my ovaries flop inside my belly."

And that ending *gasp*. So many "holy crap, holy crap, you did not just do this to me right now. Oh my God!!" Spewing out of me at the same time. I need the next book. Right now!!! Prepare for a book hangover of epic proportions!!

ARC provided in exchange for honest review.

I found this to be enjoyable, and there is definitely some angst throughout the book, but there were a few times where I found myself rolling my eyes, and all of the eye-rolling was because of Brooke. There's definitely chemistry between Brooke and Rich, but timing seemed to be a factor with them. I was also impressed when Rich told Brooke that he didn't want to be her rebound guy, big points for him not taking advantage of the situation and just using her for sexual purposes.

Usually with these types of stories, the main character has had something happen to them at some point in their lives that is the catalyst for their behavior throughout the story; I know Brooke's goal in life was to work for the Washington Post, but we're never really given a reason as to why she was so adamant about working for the Post; it's not like she had anything to prove to anyone, or that she had to show that she was able to rise above whatever crappy lot she was dealt at some point in her life. I can understand not wanting to make that step after her mom died, but thankfully she did. Something else that bothered me, in this day and age, how do you NOT Google a potential employer? She could have easily learned who she would be interviewing with, but that's just me digging to deep into the story; my husband says I do that quite frequently lol.

Rich is just freakin' hot! There's no other way to describe him. He's like the perfect man, except for the jealous streak that came out when some of the reporters got together for dinner and drinks right before Brooke started at the Post. I liked that he had a commanding presence, but he wasn't full of himself. He just knew how to get things done.

Now this book does have a cliffhanger, and I'm pretty fired up that book 2 won't be out until 2015 because I want to know what happens damnit! This is a good book and I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a story that has angst and drama, but plenty of laughs that come from Brooke's best friend Cassidy, but be forewarned that ending is a doozy!

Unwritten is a good debut novel by M.C. Decker. This author had a lot of potential.

This book is centered around two characters, Rich and Brooke. The two first meet in college when Brooke literally runs in to Rich on the way to class. Rich is a hot, cocky, jerk; Brooke is the sweet girl committed to her high school sweetheart. The two become friends and begin to develop feelings for each other. However, they don't act on them since Brooke has a boyfriend. When her boyfriend breaks up with her, Rich already has a girlfriend. The timing for these two just never seemed right and they go their separate ways.

They meet again years later when Brooke applies for the newspaper that Rich is an editor for. Not only that, but he is to be her new boss. The feelings and the chemistry follow them to the now. The now is where the story just didn't quite deliver for me.

There was too much pushing away from Brooke. I didn't get it. I mean I kind of did. She didn't want to start a new job seeming like she has the bosses favor because she is sleeping with him. I get that. But, she kept saying things to push Rich away and would not even give him a chance. Honestly I thought she was a bitch. I just couldn't understand why Rich would still want her. This made it hard for me to connect with the story.

The dialogue between Rich and Brooke was sometimes stuffy and felt forced. Even when they finally tried to be together, some of it just felt unnatural and was often corny.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book, when the two are in college. I connected with them then, but lost that connection when they are grown. I just found it hard to sympathize with Brooke's feelings when she acted the way she did. I didn't feel like she deserved the guy, but was glad that got together for Rich's sake.

Unwritten was on its way to being a 4 heart read for me but well you know what happened. However, Brooke's behavior is ones of my book post peeves. I WOULD recommend this book to those who are looking for a quick light read. But beware: This book ends in a cliffy.

I think this is an amazing story of two people who truly are in love. At first the book started out slow I didn't get into it until chapter 6. Then the story started pulling me in I had to know what would happen. This girl gives new meaning to walls I mean I wanted to slap her a few times. But I understood why she was so stubborn and infuriating me. Brooke was a head strong young lady that was at college she had a perfect boyfriend. She had life planned out accordingly exactly how she wanted it to be. As she is at college she literally walks in to this major hot brick wall who smells amazing. But she hates his arrogant ass. Cause let's face it he really was arrogant but he has a different side. Which she gets to know very well. Some things happen and she learns that sometimes life as you plan it doesn't always work out. But she will be OK because she knows what she gonna do well that is what she hopes for. Again life slaps her in the face and just remember you should always seize every opportunity before its too late. OK so the time line is 2011 now we skipped some. Brooke has put her career on hold because of some horrible things that happened in those years. She is a caregiver that's not her job description but she takes care of those she loves the most. But one night she is thinking I need to go after my goals I set for myself so long ago. The time is now so she submits her resume to a paper. And three weeks later she has an interview but little does she know that past always comes back. As she comes off the elevator she runs literally in a hot brick wall. I will leave you with this because I could go on but I am not I hate ruining books with spoilers but you will love this story. To me the story began at chapter 6 but I understand why it was there. M.C.Decker is a great writer and I can't wait to continue with my love for Rich ahhhhh
This is Debut as an author fantastic job.

Ever meet someone that you should have said yes to, but held off because the timing just wasn't right? That's what happened to Brooke, and his name was Rich Davis. He was the guy she loved to hate, the one that crawled under her skin and made it nearly impossible for her to forget. What should have been so easy to say yes to, ended up being an amazing friendship with the promise of more, if only Brooke would give in and admit it.
Ten years later, Brooke is still in Michigan. Working a dead end job, she takes a leap of faith and applies for her dream job, a job at the Washington Post. That's where she runs into-literally- the one and only, Rich Davis.
Once again, Brooke's indecisiveness gets the better of her and she holds him at arm's length. It is clear that Rich's feelings haven't changed a bit. Still cocky, he is sure she will wear down. Still unsure, she convinces herself it won't work. I swear that girl is her own worst enemy.
Grown up Rich is so much better than college Rich. He's still arrogant, but he carries it differently now. It's more endearing now than it was before. I got a kick out of the fluff assignments he hands Brooke to start off with and she handled them with grace. She's a tough cookie, tougher than I thought. The will they/won't they back and forth has you needing them to be together. But will it happen? This book ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger, and I mean MAJOR. I actually screamed, "NOOO!!!" when I got to the end. I know how some of you feel about them and please, give this one a chance, it fits the story so well and sets the stage perfectly for the next book. I normally don't give spoilers but I feel this one is necessary, so you don't go in blind. But as I said, it's a perfect cliffy and will have you hounding the author day and night about the next book, it's that good.

As the debut novel from this author, I was so excited to read this and she does not disappoint at all!

From the beginning, this book had me hooked! I loved these characters and this story. It had me feeling all the feels from anger to happiness to sadness!

Brooke and Rich meet in college. Both journalism majors, their relationship has a bit of a rocky start but soon, sparks fly! Unfortunately, circumstances mean that their relationship cannot progress to something more…until seven years after graduation when they meet again!

The chemistry between Brooke and Rich is off the charts and I enjoyed reading how their relationship progressed.

As this is the first of a series, the ending was a cliffhanger! And Sweet Mother of Mary, what a cliffhanger it was!

I HIGHLY recommend this book and this author, and I cannot wait to read more!!!

Given To Me For An Honest Review

Unwritten (The Unspoken Series Book 1) by M.C. Decker is a great must read especially for a debut novel. The main characters in the book are Brooke and Rich. Brooke and Rich met in college and became close friends. After graduation they went their separate ways. Ten years later they meet again. Once you begin to read this book you will not be able to put it down. Talk about a page turner. Those pages will seem like they just turn themselves as you read. The full spectrum of Brooke's and Rich's emotions for each other is really something else. Once you get to the end, well here it comes ------ CLIFFHANGER!! But, no worry the sequel comes out next year. I gave this book 5 stars but it really deserves more than that. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I look forward to more from M.C. Decker.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review, it in no way guarantees that it will be positive.

Brook and Rich meet on the way to the same class. They both get a false first impression but soon they find that they work well together. Life does not work out for them right then, but life isn’t done with them yet.
This story is full of hits and misses between Brooke and Rich and the story is full of drama and intrigue. The cliffhanger at the end will leave you excited for the next book.
I liked the secondary characters almost as much as the main characters and I hope that the foreshadowing in Unwritten means what I hope it means.
This book has more language and explicit scenes than I generally read, but the story itself was good and if those things don’t bother you, it is a romance that is easy to get into.

5 "Hotty McA**hole" Stars

*ARC review for Crazy Daisy Book Whore* by Megan

I loved this book! I don't even know what else to say. I just finished reading it, so everything else that comes to mind has "spoiler alert" written all over it!

Brooke is a strong, driven, and smart woman. She and her bestie, Cassidy, have the greatest dynamic in this book. They made me laugh with their nicknames and conversations. They have a true life relationship. I love that Brooke stayed strong even though she was hurting. I love a strong and stubborn female character.

Rich, douche monkey, Davis is a swoon-worthy man. Even though he is dominant and arrogant, he is also sweet, patient, and caring man.

I can't wait to read the rest of Brooke and Rich's story. It was quite unexpected!

4.5 stars!!

I truly enjoyed this book!!! I loved the flashback that the book begins with and the backstory that it offers the reader for future reference. Rich is one helluva man! Where was he when I was in college? He is BBF material FOR SURE! While I liked Brooke, there were times that I wanted to smack her. I had a hard time with the back & forth behavior & her jealously all because she couldn't make a decision.

I engaged with the story and the characters. I found the pacing in the beginning a bit slow but the story picked up for me about 18% in.

I can't wait to get my grabby hands on the next book! My heart is a wreck and I can't believe that is where she left us. I need answers NOW!

An endearing debut novel that will grab a hold of you within the first few pages and have you wanting more and more.

A perfectly paced plotline, a heart-warming romance‚ realistically sculpted characters …

Unwritten is really the whole package. Humor‚ romance‚ drama‚ steamy sex scenes… so many emotions were packed perfectly together and made this novel a fabulous read.

I love a book where it is written so perfectly that you feel every single emotion and Unwritten is just that. I cannot convey how much I loved this book.

Can not wait to read the next book and see what will happen.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Amazing story! Without giving any spoilers this isn't your typical boy meets girl and they hook up right away, get married, have a baby, and live happily every after! There is so much in between! Oh and the cliffy on this book gutted me! I can't wait until 2015. I keep telling my husband he needs to build me a time machine so I can bounce around to get books! He keeps looking at me like I am crazy! I was lucky to stumble on this book by following a link from another authors post on Facebook! I have found quite a few new books that way lately!

Bonus is that it is part of the Amazon Kindle Unlimited Program if you have a membership!

Fantastic debut from M.C.! I stumbled upon this book from a recommendation from a friend and she hit the nail on the head. I couldn’t put it down. It was a very easy read that pulled on my emotions, especially as the story went on. I found myself frustrated with Brooke at times, but that is what makes this story so engaging. And then there’s Rich…sigh!

I enjoyed getting to know them in the past and seeing how they have grown and changed with what life has dealt them as we work our way to the present. My heart was finally happy and BOOM the twist of a lifetime hits from nowhere and has left me begging for more…that’s right…begging!!!
