SUMMARY (50 words or less) This series is a home run for me. I just loved it from the start and this last book brought everything home for the win. It was just that good.

This series gets better and more intense with each book. River and Jonathan are finally back together only to be separated once again. Hiding their true selves from everyone except a select few is trying on both of them. Jonathan is learning his wolf and trying to keep him under control when all he wants is to be next to River. River trying to keep the peace with her ruse and Eli is doing everything he can to keep himself under control and keep the ruse going. There is so much suspense and many secrets in this book that keeps you reading wanting more. Things come to light and other things get resolved but most of all there is so much emotion and love. As with all of Charlotte Abel's books this one captured me and held on tight.
This is book 3. If you've read this far it means you love the series, and loved this book. You cannot read this one without reading book 1 and 2. Otherwise you would be lost trying to follow what happens. I loved this book. I just wish there was an epilogue to show more of what happens after everything. I know there is a book just about Gabriel so maybe that's my follow up to the story. Happy reading!
What a great third book... but it doesn't feel pinched off as when totally things are ended (there is more room for more stories... hint, hint, hint). The world opening for River, Rueben, Jonathan and the entire cast will be hard and different from what they expect, but it won't be without the moments of joy and glory along the way!
I thoroughly enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end. I'm not usually one for love stories but including the fact that it was both a shifter sorry as well as a hidden society made this right up my alley. I would recommend this not only to enhance readers but sci-fi lovers as well
Expecting a war or a rival, hum it almost feels real. Traitors, criminals, family feuds, deceit, and the world lives on. Zebulon, has his hands full, but when one has had enough sometimes its just best to turn your check and except change; even if it takes years. A great read, looking forward to what's next for Gabreil.
An incredible series of books. The characters come alive and you really care about them. I never want them to end. I'll be at a loose end till I can start on the next book in the series. Please Charlotte, keep writing ......
I love this series which this is the third. The love story between River and Jonathon is sweet and hot. I rarely pay for books but these are an exception because the are so well written.
I gave this book three stars because it wasn't as good as the first two. While it held my attention and kept me engrossed, there were a few places where I went "Wait a minute, how much time has passed?" There might be weeks, maybe even months, between paragraphs with no clean transition. The characters were also a little flat, and predictable, in some places. There were also a times where the book felt more like a report than a story. Finally, if I hadn't read the first two, I probably wouldn't have started with this one. I couldn't, I would have been lost.
I think the author tried to cram way too much in this book. The ending, however, was done much better than the first one. At least, this time, I didn't know I was driving up to a cliffhanger until I was about two pages away from it. The ending wrapped up the story enough to make the trilogy complete, but hinted at the series shifting in a different direction. Though, I worry that direction might have been done one too many times before and if not handled correctly could come off as contrived. (Sorry for being so vague, but I don't like spoiling things for other people.)
The third (and final?) book in the Sanctuary Series will keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering if River and Jonathan will get their happy ending. Over the course of three books, the characters have all grown and changed, displayed their flaws and strengths, giving us well-rounded characters rather than the flat, one-dimensional characters they could have been. Abel gives us a world where things aren't as black and white as they first seem. There's action, angst and romance that had me finishing it in one sitting. While the ending does give a definite solution, there's also plenty of room to work should Abel continue on with the series.
Charlotte Abel does it again in this the third book of the Sanctuary Series. In this book we follow River, Jonathan and Eli in their journey towards the prophecy. This book sucked me in from the start. The plotting, back-stabbing and alliances were very well done and often surprising. This book was well worth the wait and I can't wait to read the rest. For once I don't mind that it's a cliffhanger. Charlotte does them well in that it's a good end to this part of the story and the next book will be the next part of their journey.
I enjoyed this next instalment of the series, a nice mix of political and personal issues. The ending was some what of a part closure, many issues were resolved yet some thing has been left open for the next book(s?) however I think that the next book shall be from a different point of view. Although I have loved this series I don't think I shall be continuing because of the nice closure and that change of POV (something I hate in series).
This series has been an awesome adventure. This book had me going through so many emotions; happiness, fear, sadness, joy and heartbreak. The plot gets thicker and fate causes many twists and turns. Full of surprises and an ending that could hopefully lead to more book in The Sanctuary Series.
I found this novel a little anti-climactic. I enjoyed the characters as I have with the previous installments but I didn't feel this novel was paced very well. The main conflict felt a little rushed to me and the story was wrapped up and concluded in such an abrupt fashion there wasn't enough tension to make the ending feel worthy of the characters' struggle.
I enjoyed this third book but the second and third were a let down after such a great first book. There is hinting that the story may continue but I am not that interested in the other characters...so I think I will not continue this series.
Definitely not as good as the other two. I felt like everything was just TOO perfectly wrapped up. It was too easy. Wish there was an actual conflict or struggle this time around. I was severely disappointed since I enjoyed the other two.
I only hope this is not the last as I haven't looked to see if their Is a sequel as I liked the first three books enough so I was in a hurry to read number three
This third foray into the exciting lives of River, Jonathan, Eli, Aspen and all of New Eden's citizens was absolutely mesmerizing! I know the next book will be equally compelling and I look forward to it with much anticipation!
I was disappointed in this book, it was still a reasonable read but I felt that to much time was spent on areas that didnt necessarily need it and not enough time spent on the areas that did
