A fun, easy to read, afternoon escape to the land of Bobcat’s hockey. Dean and Arianna have know each other for years, he is her brothers’ best friend. The two have had a secret thing for a while now, and according to her - each time will be the last – right??? Until it isn’t.
I love these two, she is a spitfire of sass, does not fall for anyone’s crap. As well get past her public persona, she has fears and insecurities, just like us. Dean is the team goalie, who has had feeling for Arianna for some time.
I love how he is all in and has no hesitation in proving it. BUT they do need to tell her brother!

Dean and Arianna might be my favorite Mikayla Christy couple. They just GET each other and the emotional maturity is *chefs kiss.*
Accidental pregnancy isn’t always my favorite trope but this was so well done that I loved every bit of it. Even the parts that made me cry.

I picked up this book looking for something shorter to read between longer novels. While I did enjoy the relationship between the two main characters, the story ultimately didn’t live up to its potential.
The connection between Arianna and Dean was genuinely sweet, especially their quiet, sneaky moments together. Their chemistry was strong, and it was clear they really understood one another. Arianna’s fiery, no-nonsense attitude was refreshing, and Dean was the ultimate golden-retriever hero—a devoted goalie for the Bobcats who had been pining for her forever. Once the pregnancy reveal happened, he was immediately all in, without hesitation. He knew exactly what he wanted and stepped fully into the role of supportive partner and future father, always making sure Ari had everything she needed. Dean was easily my favorite part of the book.
That said, the pacing was a major issue. Many moments that could have added emotional depth—or expanded on meaningful themes—were glossed over and dismissed as “time passing.” The relationship was said to have been building for two years, but we rarely got to see that buildup on the page, which made the romance feel rushed despite its supposed long foundation. I kept wishing the author had slowed down and explored those moments instead of skipping past them.
Overall, it was a decent accidental pregnancy story (one of my favorite tropes), with strong chemistry and appealing character dynamics. It also checks a lot of trope boxes—brother’s best friend, forbidden love, secret pregnancy, found family—but it never fully commits to developing them. While I liked the couple and especially loved Dean, the rushed storytelling kept this from being more than an okay read.

An absolutely beautiful escape! It had me giggling, kicking my feet, shaking my head, swooning, and cheering. This was a happy book to read. It made my heart feel lighter and the world seem less bleak.

Dean is a star goalie for a professional hockey team.
They have known each other for years because he works & is best friends with her brother and her family kind of adopted him. And they have been fluffing for a couple years. In secret. Both agreed they are just fun buddies and each time is always the last (even though they both definitely have bigger feelings than either is willing to admit). After an unexpected break from their activities, they end up back together and really make their time together count by making a baby. And that is just the start of the fun!
Arianna is an absolute rockstar of a character. She is bold and has a bit of snark & sass to her that I love. She takes no crap but also has some insecurities & fears. I adored her.
Dean is the most adorable man. He is so happy and kind but has a serious depth to him. I love his rambling conversations and hyper fixations. He had a really awful start to life and has built himself a great family.
These two are so sweet and so spicy. Watching them grow and become more prepared for their bundle of joy was so enjoyable.
This was my first Mikayla Christy book and I am officially a fan! My brain liked the writing and flow of the story. And my heart adored the characters. I cannot wait to read the first two books in this series!

He’s been in love with Arianna for as long as he can remember and what began 2 years ago as a friend with benefits arrangement has slowly morphed into something more. Now he just has to figure out a way to get more from Arianna.
Arianna Sinclair is the younger sister of Landon, Deans best friend and teammate. She has been sleeping with Dean for over two years but they don’t have a relationship just a mutual understanding. She doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Landon. Everything is great and she’s working as a graphic designer and enjoying life until she sees those two lines.

This book was so cute from Dean being the perfect golden retriever and doing whatever Ari needed to adopting a cute puppy and reading all the baby audiobooks he can when he travels this was just a quick cute and fun read to add to the bobcat hockey series.

I absolutely adore this series and these characters! Mikayla has this amazing talent of writing stories where you feel like you're part of the group and characters that are just so relatable!
Dean is freaking adorable, y'all. Total golden retriever through and through. He's been in love with his best friend's sister for forever it seems, even though their "arrangement" deal for the past couple years has been an unrealistic "one time only" thing. He knew how HE felt about Arianna, but she wasn't ready to hear it.
Until two pink lines showed up unexpectedly. I'm not always a fan of accident pregnancy, but Mikayla does it SO well with her men. I LOVE how Dean was all in immediately. She was nervous he wouldn't want to stay because in her mind, SHE was the one keeping arm's length in their deal to not get hurt in I think. But boy, did he prove her wrong 😍 He was so attentive, loving, and honestly the best partner a girl could ask for in this situation.
He even stood up for and with her when it came time for the secret to come out. Ahhh, I was kicking my feet all giddy for this man. Did not expect the surprise to be who it was, I thought it was another person. But again, the way Dean was there for her! Ohhhh and sweet Cora! 😍
Another great book and I'm sad it's over... I hope to hear more about them down the road!! Thank you, Mikayla, for another beautifully written story!

Something the was nice was that the other two books of this story did not need to be read first to jump into this one.
So explaining my rating, it is 4.5 because after I kept saying only one more chapter I ended up getting sucked into the book and read it in one evening. There are several parts where there is a small time skip (basically a couple hours/days nothing crazy like years until the lil section at the end). Some moments I did wish it continued on before skipping ahead, but I get it as the next part probably would not have added much to the plot.
At the end, there is a bit of a twist that I feel like was wrapped up very quick and it didn't go into much details of. It was ok, it did have it's purpose but felt like that particular thing was wrapped up quickly. I was slightly frustrated with how the brother handles the news of their relationship, while I understand how he would feel hurt... he handled it like a child but glad to see it did not cause a rift within the team.
Trying not to include spoilers, but I will say I loved how the mom was trying to be a wingman in her own way. That's all I'm gonna say and you have to read all the way to the end to know what I'm really saying.

I honestly think there was so much potential but I found the execution was so bad. Like everything was so fast paced and was rushed. I think this book could have benefited from a little more. It also felt like there as no sustenance in this book. It felt like time jump to time jump, I felt like there was no time to truely enjoy the development of these characters in real time compared to in their past.
I also found the suspense aspect to the book rushed, and terrible. It also had no conclusion, it was like the issue immediately was fixed and then everyone was happy.
Something happened in the second last chapter, then the next chapter it was managed *not resolved* and then the book ended. In the epilogue nothing no mention of the incident and then in the bonus epilogue there was maybe 1 paragraph of the issue and then they had sex. A classic bonus epilogue. Wtf!
This book pissed me off so much. It actually ruined my day. I was reading it to make myself feel better cause my day was otherwise shit. Spoiler alert** it didn’t work. I felt arguably more pissed

There is just something about Mikayla’s writing that just gets to my heart, she just makes you feel like you are reading about your friends. Wrapped Around My Heart is book 3 in the Bobcats Hockey series. This is Dean and Arianna’s book
Dean, the golden retriever goalie is absolutely perfect. He has been in love with Arianna (his best friend’s sister) for as long as he can remember and ended up in a friends-with-benefits arrangement with her. While Arianna was adamant every time was “the last time”, Dean had no such thoughts and wanted her for the long haul, he just needs to figure out how to make that happen.
Arianna, Landon’s younger sister, does not want to ruin Deans friendship with Landon which is why she is determined to keep the arrangement as friends-with-benefits. That is until she gets very sick and sees those two pink lines.
From the moment Dean finds out, he is all in and is determined to prove that to Arianna. The only issue, telling his best friend that he got his sister pregnant and is now dating her.
I just can’t get over just how perfect Dean is in this book and Arianna is perfect for him. I could sense that there was going to be a twist thrown in and was not ready for what happened. This was such a great read. I can’t wait to see what more Mikayla’s beautiful brain has in store for us.

It was never really casual and the fact that they were able to keep it a secret as long as they did was commendable. I really loved Dean and his backstory. He was the best kind of golden retriever who was always finding the bright side. I loved his love for Arianna and his patience and understanding of what she was ready for. I thought the minor stalker plot was obvious and a little predictable, but I liked the tension it added. Overall I really liked this book. The only thing I was left wanting was maybe a few chapters with Arianna and Dean as a couple once their secrets were out.

This book warmed my heart in every way possible. It was the perfect mix of spice, swoon, humor, tension, etc. Mikayla left no crumbs with this one.
I love Dean so much. He is the definition of the perfect book boyfriend. The way he loves Ari is beautiful. He loves her big, bold and out loud. The little things don’t go unnoticed by him, they’re just as important as the big things. He checks every single box.

Another one by Mikayla Christy that I really enjoyed. An author who's book I know I'll always like.
Such an easy and quick read. Arianna and Dean were fun characters with soo much chemistry between them, I could see the steam. I loved there was no second guessing and playing around with their feelings for each other. Even though it took Arianna a bit longer to admit her feelings, she knew deep down Dean was it for her. And Dean, being so head over heels for Arianna and slowly inserting himself into her life and never giving up on her, what a great and patient man.
Cora was such a good and adorable dog. Really made the story that much better.
Curious about who the next book will be about. Looking forward to it already.

Three for three!!! This is book 3 in the Bobcats Hockey series and Dean and Ari maybe my absolute favorite so far! I am a sucker for a brother's best friend, secret love romance. Mikayla does such a great job of writing these characters that you get vested in these two right from the start. Their chemistry is great with just as many heartfelt moments as spicy ones. Dean pulls at your heartstrings when its love at first sight with his new pup Cora and then seals the deal when you see how patient and loving he is towards Ari. If you are looking for a low angst, sweet and swoonys brother’s best friend, surprise pregnancy, hockey romance with no third act break up this one’s for you. It will not disappoint 😊

I gobbled this up. I love all of Mikayla’s books. I have read them all, except Until Tomorrow Comes, which is on my TBR!
Dean and Arianna were perfection! This troupe is typically not my favorite but Mikayla wrote it perfectly. It has all the parts to a good spice novel where the plot isn’t lost. There was love, and bother’s best friend, suspense, golden retriever….so freaking good!
I have loved this series from the beginning and I was really hoping Uncle La La would get a book. Thank you for having me on your ARC team!

Ari and Dean are everything. I love a HEA without a 3rd act breakup and this one is perfection. The characters are incredible and the plot is even better. Everyone grows, evolves and becomes better versions of themselves all while nurturing their friendships and families.
This book is a brothers best friend, forbidden love, accidental/secret pregnancy, found family lovers dream. Such a good read. It flows beautifully and is so well written. Highly recommend!

4.5 ⭐️ Dean and Arianna were so perfect for each other! And I love how Dean would do anything for her! Their chemistry was AMAZING!! I rated 5 stars because I’d rather lean towards the positive side! THE REASON IT HAS LESS: I felt the storyline with Dean’s brother really took away from the story? Like him randomly showing up with a knife? That and I would have loved to hear the girls’ reactions to Arianna telling them she’s pregnant? I felt it would’ve added a little more! I’ll definitely be reading the rest of the series!

ARC review I like this book I really enjoyed being back in this world and reading about my favorite characters and all their friends. Check your trigger warnings there are mentions of child abuse, drugs and alcohol abuse, and child neglect. I liked Ariana and Dean’s story I like that they were friends, to hook up buddies to lovers. If you like brother’s best friend, hockey player x artist, found family, pregnancy trope then you will like this book

Oh this goalie had some secrets! Sneaking around with your best friend's sister is a bit of a big secret to be keeping, especially when that friend is as close as a brother to you. I really loved watching Dean find himself and his self worth in this story. Arianna had a way of finding herself as well that had a special journey in my opinion. This story starts out with quite a scene that sets up for the whole mood of the book.

This was such a nice and easy read. The accidental pregnancy trope was executed well, Dean had an emotionally mature reaction, she also had a humane and mature reaction. They went right into it together and had the important talks at the appropriate time. I was kind of sad the book wasn’t longer. The only issue I had was the unnecessary scene of his brother breaking into their home and holding her at knife point. Cause like wtf?

Not one of my favorites. Kind of disappointed. I really appreciated the other two books of the series much more. The story itself is ok, but I don’t understand why rushing the end so much. Introducing a character who could have contributed a lot to the story just at the end of the book does not make sense to me. Developing all the different ‘consequences’ of his appearance in the main characters’ lives could have given so much to the book.

This was a good book.I love Dean and Arianna.I love the chemistry between them.Dean is a hockey goalie and Arianna is a graphic designer.I love how patient Dean was.Dean was all in the minute he found out that Arianna is pregnant.I love how Dean listens to all the baby audiobooks.This book is hockey romance,brother’s best friend and accidental pregnancy.
