His Mark is a dark wolf shifter dystopian romance. It follows alpha shifter Silas and human Lia.
Silas and Lia met years ago when she was a child after his father sent him to annihilate the humans but saved her instead. That put him at odds with his old pack who were now hunting him.
Over the years he thought of her and wondered if she was okay after leaving her with a group of humans in the mountains. It isn't until 10 years later that he finds his answer.
Their story wasn't just about an alpha finding his mate it's about a fierce, rebellious, determined human female trying to save her kind from elimination and a shifter trying to stop his father's destruction. Together they find themselves battling unimaginable creatures and finding new alliances.

This was a darker shifter romance, a story of survival with many twist and turns along the way. It ends with a cliffhanger that leads to the next book featuring Varek and Mariah who he's on a mission to save.

Silas is the leader of his wolf pack. They broke off from the wolves in the city because they did not agree with what they were doing to the human women. On the other side of the fire in the middle of the compound is the human resistance. Commander Sorin states that they must have a true partnership. Her humans will not take orders from the wolves.

Lia was saved by Silas when she was eight years old. He was raised that humans were the enemy. He was not supposed to spare any humans, but he could not kill a small child like Lia. Instead, He ran with her and took her to a human camp in the mountains and left her with them. Even after all these years, he never stopped wondering what happened to her. He is not sure that she would even remember him.

Jax is Silas’ second in command. He bangs on Silas’s door because a human woman was caught sneaking around the perimeter alone. They have her blindfolded in case she is a scout or a spy for the humans in the city. She is tied up in the main area by the fire. Silas is stunned by her beauty, even in the clothes that were clinging to her and dirty. She stood there commanding their attention. Silas realizes by her scent that she is just not another human, she is his mate. Lia knows better than to show fear to the wolves. However, when the Alpha talks to her, she gets rattled. There is something in the back of her mind telling her that the voice is familiar. She is mad at herself for being aroused by his voice and presence. She realizes even blindfolded that the Alpha is attracted to her as well.

Silas has Lia taken to his cabin. He leaves her blind folded but, feels and sees her arousal. After having his way with her, the blindfold is removed. Lia realizes that the Alpha is Silas, the man who saved her as a child. Silas looks into her eyes and realizes the woman is Lia, the girl he never stopped wondering about, now a woman. Lia tells him that she was looking for him because he needs to stop what is going to happen to the human women in the city.

I was happy that Silas and Lia were reunited. They had a tough road ahead of them. This was definitely an action-packed story. It had my attention from beginning to end.

This is a dystopian shifter romance. Years ago he was sent to destroy a group of humans, but he saved her. She was fierce and defiant even then and it sparked something in him. He has wondered for years whatever happened to her. Now he is working to keep his pack together when his second brings a woman to him who is trying to save her own people from being controlled by the council, the want to force human women to take a new drug that is supposed to create female wolves that can reproduce, but at the cost of the mother's life. He recognizes her as his mate, his queen and is determined to tame her. He is an alpha strong MMC and will take what he wants including her. She also recognizes the draw to him, her body responds to his voice and his smell when she is blindfolded, and she just knows. He will not tolerate any disobedience and punishment is quickly doled out. Their chemistry is off the charts, and she is fiery in her own right having been forced to basically take care of herself from a young age. She is a fighter and doesn't back down easily, but he is a dominant and will take her to task. Their spice is blood pounding hot and sizzling, even though he is the alpha she challenges him and it only adds to the steam and more often than not results in her over his knee receiving a panty melting spanking. There is a lot of dystopian drama that runs through this, and clearly will be carried through the series. This also means there is quite a bit of violence so pay attention to that TW. The couple from the first book in the series come back and make an appearance in this one, so you get a little update on them. It is not necessary to have read that one to enjoy this one.

A captivating read, two main characters and a female they found a really thrilling read
Silas has been working so hard trying to ensure that his pack remain together and that they also stay safe which is not always a easy or as simply as you might think. They have moved out of the city and are doing well and it comes as a surprise when his second Jax brings him a female that he has found, he is at a loss as this is totally out of character for Jax.
Lia needs his help and she also has to tell him all about a test that the wolves have devised that will eradicate any and all human females and then there is also the threat from an evil that is killing everyone that it is able to come into contact with.
Nyktos appears to be a vampire and as you read deeper into the book you discover that he is so much more than this and as you read about the various characters and their strengths and weakness and the way they survive in a world that is extremely hard and filled with danger and unknown forces.
Lia is a strong female in her own right she has lots of spirit and is willing to fight for what she believes in, she cares deeply for those that she allows close to her but will never forget of forgive deceit or lies and if anyone harms someone, she holds dear she will seek retribution no matter the cost.
I guarantee that you will be captivated by this book and will read it in one sitting to discover the outcome up to this point.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Silas was trying to keep his pack safe. They moved far from the city. When his second-in-command, Jax brings him a woman that they found, he doesn’t know what to make of it. Is it a trap? Lia needs his help. He was there for her a long time ago. She needs to tell him about the test the wolves have come up with. It will wipe out the human females. But we have another evil that is killing everyone. I am glad to see Kendra and Rowan. We now have a new player, Varek. He needs help as well. All three alphas are now trying to clear out the evil. This new evil, Nyktos seemed vampire like. When you read the description, you will know what I mean. Lia’s punishment, man oh man, that was painful. I have to give it to her, she has a strong spirit and held her own. Silas definitely has one heck of a mate. Heck the story wore me out with the hard pounding Silas was giving. I was sweating and panting just reading it. The battle was really tough. I was scared for them all. We still are missing one more, Mariah. She is still trapped and we need to save her. We all know who she will be matched to, Varek. But through the bonus, he isn’t interested in a mate. They all say that.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. We are back in the Rocky Mountains with another pack that does not adhere to the council's rules. Under the direction of Alpha Silas, the wolves and the human resistance have formed an alliance. Their goals are one in the same. Fighting off the rogue wolves and making sure they are safe. Silas and Commander Sorin are working well together until.... There always seems to be a but or an until with these packs.

Lia shows up with news of a drug that the council plans to force on human woman to help them produce female wolves that can continue to reproduce. Silas knows pretty quickly that Lia is his mate. They have a deeper connection. They have met before. Silas takes being a mate very seriously. Lia tries to fight it. She is very independent and can take care of herself. She made it them, didn't she? Lia doesn't need the help of anyone, especially not this demanding wolf. Punishments are being dealt swiftly with this one. Lia is definitely a fiery one.

This book contains battle after battle. They are busy keeping each other alive from known and unknown threats. New threats seem to be coming out of the woodwork for them. Guess what? We get to see a couple we met in book 1. Yes, Rowan and Kendra make an appearance. These packs coming together make a formidable team. Will it be enough? I am loving this series.

In the midst of this Silas is visited by Varek, a commander, who has disturbing news about creatures destroying life, and who wants help finding them and destroying them. What they discover is worse than they could ever imagine and no-one comes out unscathed. I could not put this book down. With a lot of heat and steam, this book has the usual dark tropes you expect in a book by Sara including spankings, dominance and submission. In a post apocalyptic world this is a book about survival of the fittest and the deep abiding love that can help you get through the dark times, as well as a lot of steam.

Excellent book and story! MMC is so hot and dominant. When he gives a punishment, he means it. Especially with the FMC, his mate.
MMC is the alpha of rogue wolf shifters who live in the wilderness far away from the evil inner city shifters.
FMC was rescued by MMC when she was young. He left her with a group of humans. Now she's come looking for him. She needs his help.
Both MC's are hard headed and constantly clash with each other. Until MMC punishes her. He also realizes she's his mate.
The chemistry between the MC's is sizzling hot! MMC punishes FMC brutally throughout the book.
Rowan from book one of this series makes an appearance.
Lots of spankings, dominance, fighting and sex scenes. Crazy un-killable monsters living deep in a system of caves threatens everyone.
I can't wait for the next book!! WooHoo!

Yikes, my worst freakin' nightmare. Not the being claimed by the sexy alpha wolf shifter, but to find out what I do mean you have to read this fantastic book. This is the story of Silas and Lia, wonderfully written and absolutely riveting characters. I adored their always steamy, but at times almost contentious interactions kept me utterly engrossed in this book. As always, this author has delivered a fabulous narrative with intense, rough and graphic sexual scenes with a lot of spankings, all of which could possibly trigger some readers. This book also includes a lot of bloody violence with some suspenseful scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat. After saying all of that, I remind other readers that this is a dark shifter romance, but I also highly recommend this book to other readers.

Wow. I thought this would be your typical hot and steamy shifter book with the alpha shifter meeting the strong but stubborn woman. And that is an accurate description for the first part of the book. It is a relationship born of a post-apocalyptic world where alpha shifters take their human mates to task. But then the author puts in a very dangerous twist that totally changes the book and it becomes a post - apocalyptic story amped up. It has it all - the hot, hot and steamy connection between two very strong and independent characters, but then add in the danger they soon find themselves deliberately walking into and it leaves you with a very action packed, fast paced story. Very enjoyable for sure.

Complex Situation.
The situation Lia and Silas find themselves in is complex. I liked the backstory for this couple and how it blossoms into love-power struggle type of relationship. I found the situations exerting dominance a bit of a grey area that seemed to just repeat. Eventually I just skipped the steam to get to the story. There were many issues and threats to Silas’s pack as well as to humans and wolven “getting along”. With threats within the city as well as the northern mining caves, there was never a dull moment. With one problem - I think- addressed, I am curious what the group will do next to set things right.

Interesting Read Does Not Disappoint

I'm just getting into reading books by Sara Fields and her writing is a little outside my comfort zone. I really enjoyed the first book in the Alphas of the Rocky Mountains series and found the characters, plot building, etc. very good. The dominating Rowan was not over the top and I though he had a much stronger loving connection with Kendal. In the second book however, I found the Silas character more brutal and his dominance was a bit too extreme for my taste though overall I liked the story and plot.
With all this said, I'm looking forward to the next book in this series because as a whole, the story of the world collapsing as it has, was fascinating.

I absolutely loved this story. It’s full of romance, danger and the unknown. The main characters, Lia and Silas are both strong and fight the mate attraction but the inevitable wins in the end. The story is well written and very entertaining. It held my attention because I was not always sure what was going to happen next and was greatly surprised several times. There are secondary characters who added a lot to the story, such as Varek and Rowan. I am glad to hear he is getting his own story. This story has a cliffhanger that leads to Varek’s story. This is a story worth reading.

I can do whatever I want.

This is a good old fashion Alpha/Omega story. He saves Lia once. He moves on with his pack of resistance fighters. Both human and wolves fighting together try to save their races from extinction by the council. Lia shows up in his camp with the news the council has found a way to fix the shifter females infertility. Lia thinks she can give him the news and move on. What she didn’t expect is him claiming her as his mate. He has to persuade her that she is his and only his. His methods are very strong and painful to her butt. Please read the trigger warnings for the book.

Sara Fields’ “His Mark” is book 2 in her Alphas of the Rocky Mountains and my first read in this series. I loved Silas and Lia. The circumstances around how they knew each other and the general “fight” that they’re both involved in—saving humanity for the win!—worked really well. Silas’ protective nature; especially toward his mate was fun and highly entertaining particularly when she refuses to keep herself safe. I also really enjoyed all the secondary characters and really hoping to see some of their stories pop up. In the meantime, if you love yourself some dystopian PNR with growly and passionate alphas and humans who love them, this was a great way to unwind in the evening.

Oh wow oh wow. This one was super intense. Silas was amazing. Total Alpha who was very insistent on getting his way and making sure his mate knew who was in charge. So hot! Lia was freaking amazing too. She has learned how to survive and fight and she is good at it. It was so awesome to see such a strong female fighter. And together these two certainly heated up the pages! Sooo good! Everything you expect from a Sara Fields book and more. The danger was real and intense and it had me on the edge of my seat. Absolutely recommend.

When it comes to erotic smut you just wanna enjoy? Sara Fields is my go-to author for a glass of dirty, shaken and raw. Turn off your brain and just enjoy it. Let's just say femi-nazis will have a field day roasting this story, so it depends on what you like - sexually lol.

This was quick, with some action but you get your dose of alpha shifter-caveman, a sassy heroine and surprisingly - as a huge horror fan - we got to see them fight some grotesque creatures.

It's a win-win when I'm rushed for time.

I look forward to Varek's story.

It Comes Full Circle
Humans and Others rarely get along. The story bring a bit of chaos between humans and wolf. Even as a small group tries and needs to work together tension rides the edge.
A choice from the past will directly change the future.
The three are wrapped up together surviving and fighting. Each for their own reason that closely ties together.
To change thought, fear... to put your trust in someone else. The determination to grow and thrive.
The characters full of personality, and meld so well together. Silas, Lia and Nyktos their lives, their story.

Silas is a wolf shifter who saved Lia when she was a young girl. Years later she tracks him down to ask for his help to save the city from rogue wolves and humans who are trailing a drug which would see human females produce female wolf shifters. Danger also comes in the form of the Nyktos. Can they survive long enough to make it back to the city to stop the drug being distributed.
The story has a HFN ending and will continue in the next book.

Honestly, I’m not gonna give a rating for this one as I didn’t even get past 5% of the book. It had potential for me to finish it, but it threw me off when he started talking about the little girl that he had rescued from one of the camps or whatever she was like seven or eight the last time he seen her, and she just happens to be his mate, granted he didn’t find that out until years years later when she is, I’m guessing she’s probably going to be 18. I don’t know. I just didn’t finish the book because it threw me off. Especially since you knew her when she was eight years old.

His Mark is Silas and Lia's journey. It's an intense, intriguing, dramatic, shifter story that keeps you glued to the pages from beginning to end. Thier story began years before when Silas rescued Lia. Now she's in need of help again and she needs Silas again. There's a lot that goes on in this story. Plenty of drama, twists, turns and surprises that pull you in quickly and doesn't let go. His Mark is definitely a must read!

Fight For Their Lives
Silas is the Alpha of a group of wolves that live in the mountains, shunning the activities of the city. He and Lia have a history, but do they have a future? This story starts in one direction, then pivots, bring action-packed horror and new dangers, which kept me both captivated and needing the next story. I loved Lia fire and her strength, these traits made her a heroine I could root for, even when I knew she would be getting in trouble. An exciting read.

It’s so great to find an author whose writing grabs your interest so quickly and fully - which Sara Fields does here. The romance unfurls from a base of protectiveness and duty - always winners in my book. And as we learn about the world, the past and the present day, my heart got more hooked because I could feel and see the imagined characters and events so clearly in my head. I'm shocked that Lia is able to push back with Silas as much as she's allowed. I think that adds to the spiciness of their relationship. It's not just about him finding his mate, there's more intrigue revolving around the packs and another threat. There's action, danger, adventure and some hot, hot, hot romance. Loved it! Great read!.
