After reading the Invitation, I am convinced Roxy Sloane will be my go to author whenever I am in need of a good Erotica book.
If a story has a gorgeous Alpha male who happens to be British, then more than likely it's going to be a five star read for me. This one hit the mark for me!
JJ and Ash are out celebrating as they are graduating from Law School. For the past three years they have been the best of friends, and have kept it strictly platonic. BUT, both have have been secretly in lust for each other. JJ is the poor girl from Chino, whose trying to become a hot shot lawyer so that she can take care of her mom and sister. Ash is practically British royalty and comes from old money.

This is a super short but intriguing sexy read. MBA graduate Ashton Pierce, Ash and law student Justine Jenkins, JJ have had two years of being great friends while watching one another go home with different conquests each night.

They had decided to be friends because neither was interested in any other type of relationship but those two years of sexual tension have taken it's toll on both of them. On the eve of Ash’s last night in the states they both want to explore what could be sexually between them and so the Roxy Sloane delivers some pretty hot sex scenes.

The story ends three years in the future with an interesting gift being delivered to Justine.
Overall, it’s hard to rate fifty pages that were pretty much sex between Ash and Justine over the course of one night. I liked that Ash is British but he doesn’t say anything in this story or phrase anything that gave the feel that he was from Britain. However, it was an entertaining read and the possibilities for next book are endless.

Nope... you need to have me on the edge of my seat, squirming and wondering what will happen next and then gasping for air because I cannot breathe, the action is so good and hot.
This author did not disappoint. She had the tone and flair needed to pull this off. The guy sounded like a guy... not what a woman thinks a guy should sound like... and she created a ballsy gutsy woman who was as much of a dating whore as he was. They had bonded over this and remained friends-only over the 2 years they knew each other.
They are graduating. Her, law school; him, an MBA program. Their last night together sets up the no- holds-barred-free-for-all between them. AMAZING. Everything they both wanted and more.
Everything a reader would want.... and wanting more.... which brings me to the conclusion of this review... because there is more.... and it will be in serial form.

Well I have to say, that was one hell of a prequel!
The story revolves Justine 'JJ' Jenkins and Ashton Pierce, close college friends who have for the past two years fought their mutual attraction, in order not to ruin their friendship. With either no stranger to the casual hook up, early on they decided not to go there with each other. Now with Graduation upon them, Ashton's future holds returning to England and family obligations and JJ working hard making good use of her Law degree but not before spending their last night together. And what a night it is!
Cut to three years years later, having flown into New York to work on case JJ arrives at her temporary apartment to receive a mysterious invite.

Ashton and Justine met as law students and found out they have a lot in common...including their conquests. Vowing to never cross that line with each other, they become best friends. After graduation, Ashton is leaving for home in England and unbeknownst to each other, they have both decided to make their last night unforgettable.
This is a really quick fifty page sex-fest so be warned! ;) Things get down and dirty really fast but I really loved the passion they both had for each other. It definitely helped getting both their POVs.
I liked seeing this side of Justine. We got to know her as Keely's (from the Seduction series) lawyer friend and she came across as a pretty tough cookie.
The story moves three years in the future with Justine arriving in New York to work on a big case. She's staying at one of Keely's apartments when a mysterious package arrives!
I thought this was a good introduction to the series. I like the promise of things to come. Can't wait to read the next book to see where it goes from here!

This is a really quick fifty page sex-fest so be warned! ;) Things get down and dirty really fast but I really loved the passion they both had for each other. It definitely helped getting both their POVs.
I liked seeing this side of Justine. We got to know her as Keely's (from the Seduction series) lawyer friend and she came across as a pretty tough cookie.
The story moves three years in the future with Justine arriving in New York to work on a big case. She's staying at one of Keely's apartments when a mysterious package arrives!
I thought this was a good introduction to the series. I like the promise of things to come. Can't wait to read the next book to see where it goes from here!

WOW! Just...wow!
I can't believe a 50-pages-long book was THIS GOOD...and holy hell...THIS HAWT!
2 years. For 2 long years, Ashton "Ash" Pierce and Justine "JJ" Jenkins have tried being "just friends" while always secretly fantasizing about each other. You see, when they first met, they decided that they could always find random people to share a bed with...but they can't always find someone so similar and familiar to them, someone that they can share their secrets with and talk to freely, with no filters, someone that they can actually be friends with. So they make a pact and never cross the lines.
Not until now, that is...

This book was pretty perfect!
1) It was fast-paced, but not rushed. Some authors can't see the difference between these, apparently, but Roxy Sloane pulled it off with this one!
2) It had some VERY amazing sexy steamy stuff... My breathing couldn't get even for the entire hour that I was reading this!
As easy as it looks, writing erotic scenes is a hard job, people. There's a very thin line between sounding stupid and being actually hawt while writing these. Just sayin'.
3) It wasn't all "SEX SEX SEX AND SOME MORE SEX" though. There were other fun things in between those scenes and that fact made me love this book even more! Let's remember again that this book is just 50 pages long. We all know that if an Erotica is that short, the probability of it having some real conversation and an actual plot is quite low. This one though...this one had pauses to the "woohoo" parts and some action going on in the background.
4) I love dual POVs. It gives you a chance to get to know both of the characters and see how they feel about each other, how they think and what kind of person they really are. So this was also a big plus for me.
5) Lastly...the characters.
Ash was very funny and sweet sometimes:
"I never joke about panties."
...and at other times, he was this classic Alpha male:
"You're mine," I growl, possession crashing through me. "Never forget it, JJ. You've always been mine."
JJ was not one of the "whiny and terribly annoying almost-a-virgin female MCs" that we have become accustomed to. No, she is a strong young woman who knows what she wants and doesn't hesitate to get it. And more importantly, she knows she doesn't live in a fairy tale.
...he's the one guy who knows me better than anyone -- which means he could hurt me more than anyone too.
I really liked her, which is a very rare occurrence with Romance books, unfortunately.
The book ends with a "THREE YEARS LATER..." and we're left with a pretty big mystery. Gosh...I can't wait for Book #2!

WOW! What a steamy 50 pages that was! We needed to install Kindle wipers for this one! JJ and Ash were so unabashed in their want and need for each other, so sexually compatible – they were a breath of fresh air! We felt it – the passion and connection translated right from the pages over to us. Yeah…freezer moment!

And then I found out that the protagonist, Ash, is BRITISH and I was so disappointed that I didn't have an audio version of this book, with Ash reading for me with his sexy accent.
This book was very short but I am glad that the female protagonist wasn't annoying. Indeed, she really knew what she had to do ;). You're so lucky, JJ.
I can't wait to know what will happen next. Hope books 2 and 3 will be as hot as this ;)
