This is what an AI program this horror sounds like

I rarely do not finish a book but this over made it to a whopping 32%. I wanted so much to love it, but its very apparent someone fed a prompt to chatgpt and it fed this drivel out. There is no pacing. Everything happens in about a day. The sentences make no sense because a sentient being did not write them. Worse,no one proof read it after either. There were multiple grammatical and plot errors that were so glaringly bad they ripped you put of the story, which isn't strong enough on its own to sustain the onslaught of bad writing dome by a computer.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the characters are unlovable because there is no character building or arc. Just repeated lines that are directly in opposition. Is the main character the shy girl who gets walked all over or she determines self-possessed woman who will never get walked all over we will never know because she is both according to the story. Also, the woman said, or, the man said Is used so often that you get completely lost in the dialog And unfortunately this is a very dialog driven story. In fact most of it is dialog as there's almost no description at all in fact.

Another Excellent Story

Marie Wilkens has come into her own as an author. The little glitches from her earliest books are all gone in this book. It's a solid story, with good character development, good pacing, and even a bit more reach into the occult, which appears to be well-researched. Bravo!

Was a quick easy read. I could imagine what the main character and her friend were going thru. Will look into Marie Wilkens again.
