After my best friends fell in love with hot dragon shifters, all eyes turned toward me. Apparently, I might be the final puzzle piece to this new apocalyptic prophecy. Now we have to wait for the mysterious guardian to show up and decide if I’m worthy.
No pressure or anything.
I didn’t have time for romantic fantasies—not when I have a six-year-old girl who needs me. But when the majestic dragon finally showed up and stared at me with haunted pain in his eyes, I knew I was screwed.
There’s no escaping fate.
I had a duty to my friends—to the world—but most of all to my daughter, forcing me to enter into this mating bond arrangement.
It’s not the first time I’ve known sacrifice, but this might just be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
Malachy is cold and unforgiving. He doesn’t want me as a mate. I’m not sure I want him either. The cruel and beautiful beast has given up on life—a luxury I can’t afford.
I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t do everything in my power to help save the Earth. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to make sure my little girl has a future. Even if that means being mated to the monster who wants to watch us all burn…
To Spark a Dragon’s Love is the thrilling conclusion to the Sulfur & Spice series. HEA guaranteed! All three books are stand-alone, dual POV novels that should be read in order for the best experience. Intended for mature audiences due to spicy situations. Join our leading ladies and their dragon lovers as their stories intertwine to save the world from the impending apocalypse. You don’t want to miss this epic finale!

I actually didn’t hate this book, but I liked it way less than the first two books so I’m giving it 2.5 stars rounded up⭐️.
I felt like the romance was off and a lot of the elements that I enjoyed in the first two books were missing for me.
Also….I’m the BIGGEST hater of when the MMC stays away from the FMC because she “deserves better than him” and doesn’t even give her a say in the matter.
What a great ending to the trilogy! This book takes us right into the nitty gritty!! So be prepared to get hot and heavy in the very first chapter :) This last book follows Malachy and Willow, the last of our mated pairs. It's no surprise to anyone that they are mates, the last hope for Earth. But...Earth still demands so much from Malachy as the guardian. And Willow has to stand by and watch as each day he becomes more and more withdrawn and hurt. Finally, his dragon can't take anymore, and the Earth stops calling him. But that's when everything changes. I loved this book! Sure it was full of angst and sorrow. Just seeing how much Malachy hurt and how much his duties took from him, it made it so hard to understand how the Earth could do such things. Poor Willow, seeing the one you love in so much pain has to be the worst position to be in. But she is a strong woman, she is a mother (I love Harper, she brings out such a great personality in Malachy!)and when she has had enough, she let's her rage fly! LOL! I give this 4.5 stars. We go in hot and heavy and it's a spicy adventure on every page! I love Heather Carson's writing, she knows how to bring emotion to her characters and how to bring the HEAT! Malachy is one of her best dragons, he is strong yet one of the most vulnerable men I have read. Highly recommend this trilogy! HEA guaranteed and ummm....is that epilogue the start of another series.....Ms. Carson....?
I am sitting here sobbing, which I guess is what I get for reading someone's diary. I enjoyed this series so much. I will never forget Ember's, Riley, Willow, and Harper.
Wrapping up this trilogy, Willow finally gets her HEA, and Malachy finally gets his love. This book started out HOT and then Malachy promptly pissed me off. Thankfully Willow was able to get him to pull his head out of his ass.
I will never be able to recommend Heather K Carson books enough. If I could just make everyone read them I know they would love them too.
Oh and Heather, if you ever wanted to jot down a Why Choose between Harper and the twins I'd he happy to read it for you. Just a thought. No pressure. 👀
What I love about Heathers work is each couple is unique. It makes it hard to pick which couple you love the most.
Willow and Malachy have an intense connection, but with each being been through so much, putting up walls is so much easier.
This one moves incredibly fast. It’s easy to get sucked in and the next thing you know you’re at the end of the book.
This is the conclusion so be prepared for the unknown Heather takes us on a an insane ride.
If you love strong women that are supported by their men, strong women that have a friendship stronger than even mates in some cases, mates, apocalypse, dragons, shifters, spice, women that aren’t afraid to handle power tools, oh and don’t forget a little girl named Harper is not afraid of dragons and steals theirs hearts. This trilogy is for you!
You do need to read the first two to understand what’s going on.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a fun series. The premise of dragons taking care of earth and an impending apocalypse was great.
The final book was Willow and Malachy’s story and it is angsty and tragic. The world is still ending as Earth literally destroys Herself. Various supernaturals are fighting but it’s the dragons who run the show. The other couples from the first 2 books have prominent roles. There is so much tension but there is a happily ever after.
This one was my favorite out of the 3 for sure! Loved the push and pull between our FMC and MMC. Harper definitely made the whole thing much more humorous. The guardian thing was excellent but I do wish we’d had some dragon babies (love dragon babies) but that’s ok.
*** Received as an ARC in exchange for an honest review ***
I have throughly enjoyed this series and was very excited to see how the author wrapped it up with a glimpse into the future of the characters. I feel like this one was more a comfy soothing wrap up compared to the other two and it made it so cute in its own. I really loved the more unique FMC perspective to bring more connection to more types of readers. Great story and cannot wait to read more by this author!!

How I love me a tortured, self loathing, and self sacrificial man who actually deserves the world. And he’s a dragon who likes cookie eating? Don’t mind if I do.
Heather Carson writes like she's winking at every romance trope - turning them into a big, messy, delightful love letter that never stops being fun.
ETA: my husband has pointed out there be spoilers below. Reader beware 🏴☠️
This book throws you straight into the action - the stakes are sky-high from page one. Malachy has been guardian for so long he's lost all hope, convinced he's a failure, while Willow is ready to sacrifice whatever it takes to save the world for her daughter. The problem? She buries her own wants and needs so deep it nearly breaks her.
Willow and Malachy spend most of the book spinning in circles, making assumptions, and not communicating. To the point where there's some meta commentary poking fun at it, which is one of my very favorite things about Heather's writing.
Eventually our two heroes get their act together (finally) and save the world, but the real villain is inside the house. It's their messy, martyr-y emotions.
There was also plenty of humor sprinkled throughout, especially with Harper. Despite being in a dystopian setting, these books are fun and lighthearted.
The ending was pretty much perfect and I liked how the apocalypse was handled, but I wish we spent a little more time on the resolution and less on the angsty journey to get there.
The epilogue with Harper was a great touch, and I loved seeing a glimpse into her future. I'd happily read a whole trilogy with her and the bears someday.
This was my favorite of the 3! Loved Willow and Malachi’s story so much. Both super likable characters, drowning in loneliness and sense of duty. The beginning was emotional and tough in places (only because when an MC pulls back but doesn’t tell the other why, it always hurts!!) but we needed that space and time to get to know these two and also appreciate the determination in Willow to be there for Malachy. And to go on the journey with Malachy in realizing he was deserving of love and happiness.
The only reason it’s not 5 stars was I wanted more! Willow’s childhood is hinted at but never explored (it sounded interesting!) and her first marriage isn’t explored as much as I was hoping, especially with Malachy. I wanted to actually experience them bonding and falling in love through those shared stories and maybe similar experiences but we don’t really see it. The same for Malachy’s childhood. We get tidbits in book 2 and a little here about how awful it was, but that trauma wasn’t really explored as it relates to his relationship with Willow, nor do we get the joy of seeing him work through it and choosing her/happiness. It would have made their story richer to see some of those quiet moments play out between them.
In short, this was a great read with lots of depth for shorter standalone, and I nice wrap up to the trilogy. Also loved the possible hinting at a future spin off series…?? 😏

If it wasn’t that I had such high hopes for this book after book 1 and 2 being so cute and light hearted for the most part I probably could have pushed through but couldn’t do it. I’m sure he redeems himself after being actually insufferable the entire beginning of the book but I don’t care to stick around and see it bc he wasn’t even the problem she was.
“Dignity is overrated anyways” is a line she says and I would say that perfectly sums up her character
After she believes she’s gonna have a happy mating like her friends and he completely breaks her heart she continues to pursue him even though he has the personality of a brick wall and is so emo and self hating the entire book. Don’t get me wrong I understand why he was like that and he could have easily had some character development I just don’t understand why after him treating her terribly SHE had to be the one to pursue HIM without him putting in any effort she doesn’t even get mad at how closed off he is. Especially compared to the first 2 books where the MMC were actually good to the fmc I just thought this couple looked so bad on paper next to them.
***Arc's review *** Probably some spoilers **be aware **
Soooooooo, it is what it is, this book was like a warm blanket for me , Sooo comforting and empowering I just couldn't get enough of it really How everything came together was soooo amazingly done I wouldn't imagine it any other way How they healed each other, stood up for each other and worked on understanding each other to nurture the growth of theire relationship
Super duper recommend for anyone who wanted to cry and laugh and then cry and laugh some more while also sympathizing with the characters and maybe also disagreeing with theire actions, this book is definitely for you I SUPER DUPER recommend it
Thank you dear author for this amazing journey, I really did enjoy it fully. Can't wait for more
Bye -Bye 👋 see you somewhere 😄😄😉😉
Ps: English is not my first language, please forgive me if I made any mistakes Stay safe 💚💚💜💜💙💙

I’m not a fan of the suffering hero and Malachy (MMC) is the most suffering of heroes. Willow (FMC) is a great mom but also very self-sacrificing. (As a mom myself, I get it.) She’d do anything for Harper, her daughter, even step up to do her part to save the world. The book was too short in the sense that there are characters introduced (Sabine, a creepy female vampire) that really serve no purpose. What’s the point of acting like demons and vampires are going to wage war on the dragons and leave that basically unexplored?
There was a lot of potential and it fell a little flat. But the love story was pretty good. A little annoying at first how much Malachy wasn’t into actually falling for Willow, but when he finally got over it, the story really took off. It was cute to see him step into more of a dad role for Harper.
Overall, not bad. I’m not sure if this ties the trilogy up as well as I’d like, but it does the job.
Oooo Malachy… I was ready to throw hands! After both him and Willow paired up I cringed a bit at how rude he was being, it wasn’t until a quarter of half way he chilled out and was much more barnacle. Willows insecurities (like the other girls) were valid. I can’t speak at being a mother, but her body dysmorphia compared to his “Greek god stature” was legit. The moment Harper was kidnapped and Malachy went all beast mode, that was the time I felt cheered for him. I plowed through this series in the best way possible. The ending was adorable as hell with Harper as a teenager writing in her diary. The very last note from the author twisted at my heart. I’m INCREDIBLY upset this was the end of a trilogy. I want so much more, I want to know how there are all doing if earth truly healed or not with her vents though Harpers eyes now 😩😭💙🙏🏼 Heather, thank you, the series was beautifully written, fun, engaging and the characters were top tier.

The trilogy is complete!!! Woohooooo! Thank you to Heather K. Carson for the gifted review copy, I’m so grateful.
Malachy and Willow are so perfect for each other, even if they were both too stubborn to let the other in at first. Harper really sold this one for me, she’s just such an awesome kid and I love how much she brought to the story. Malachy was such an awesome girl dad! Willow was so fierce, even when people wrote her off for being the quiet one. The passion between the two MCs was amazing!
I really enjoy the pace of these books, sometimes I get so deep into long fantasy romance that it burns me out. These never do that to me!! I’m stoked to see what comes next for this author.
This is the BEST of the trilogy!! It wrapped everything up perfectly!!
I thought this was a really unique concept. The beginning of the apocalypse, the dragons are the only ones who can save the earth. Leave it to Carson to come up with something completely original!!
The characters are so complex. They completely touched my heart and made me feel so much for them. The characters showed monumental growth and I was so pleased with how they were able to grow from their pasts.
I’m really going to miss this world. I know Carson will come up with something new for us to become absorbed in. Her stories always make me forget the stresses of life while I’m reading them - thank you for that, Heather!
*these are a bit spicy, so if you hate that forget this one *
This was a great ending (although I wish there were more for these characters—the next generation, perhaps). It was a good mix of new character development and new plot patterns, while still Maintain ing what I loved about the first two. The book also managed to leave me wondering until the end if I was even going to get a happy ending, even though I trusted the other would give me one—and, it wrapped it up slickly, without leaving it feeling rushed or over simplified. Really skillful writing and a great trilogy.
Vampires, bear shifters, witches, and the end of the world, what next? DRAGONS!
You are going to regret picking up this series if you don't have a free weekend because its just too fun to put down. I read all 3 books in a Friday night and all day Saturday and got pretty much nothing done that I had planned to do. Good point is its only a 3 book series because I now have to catch up on all the stuff I ignored. Can't wait to see what Heather Carson has in store for the next series.
i was totally enjoying this series right up until the end. bit of a cop out. i get the part about girls lifting each other up but the end just seemed like an after thought and i was truly hoping for some kind of battle with the vampires. this bit seems to have been skipped over too. i love the guys. i love girls. all the development between the 3 couples was great but that as an ending ... really?

It was okay. It kept rehashing the same things. It lacked humor. It didn't follow through on any of the characters that were introduced. It didn't grow the romance of the characters. They just kept having sex and complaining about their lives. I got tired of reading it and only finished it because I didn't feel like looking for other options and I kept hoping it would get better. It was disappointing and instead of uplifting it left me feeling blah.
This was so disjointed and felt unfinished. The premise of this book was promising, but execution was not good at all. Romance between the two main characters was bland and undeveloped. Huge chunks of the book felt missing/abrupt transitions. This book really needed some more editing for cohesiveness, and it would have been good--a prime example of "show not tell" not being followed here.
Disappointing final book to this trilogy. The first two books were really good. This one just seemed like the author was bored with it and wanted it over. About 2/3 of the way through, I kept waiting for something to happen, for the whole thing to start to come together, for the mystery of the tattoos to be solved. It doesn’t do much of that. Read fast because it was short, mostly, and I kept wishing for more to suddenly happen… and it didn’t. ((sigh)) Bummed.
The “Sulfur and spice” trilogy was such fun and exciting to read. The story is full of magic, danger and romance that keeps you turning the pages. The characters are easy to connect with and each book just gets better.A great series for anyone who loves a mix of fantasy and love stories.
Halfway through I thought this was going to be a 4 star book. I got impatient with the FMC. I’m delighted to share that both the character and the plot exceeded my expectations. I only have one editing error to complain about. When entering a new building, there’s a comment about the foray. I’m sure that should be foyer as nobody was planning an expedition at the time.
damn, what a ride. I really enjoyed this series. Willow's and Malachy was definitely my favorite (but I enjoyed all their stories!) maybe because I became a mom not too long ago. Overall not a lot of spice in this series but the story is beautiful and they can be really funny 🤣 especially Harper and her innocence!
Seriously didn’t want this series to end !! What a fantastic story this has been , getting the feeling the characters are a part of real existence is premium reading. A great story , love them all and Harper I’m hoping you get a story of your own perhaps with a cameo of this family that’s built now . Highly recommend this series!!
I loved loved loved this as the ending to this trios story! Seriously love the author and her writing style. Love the characters and everything that makes them them. I would LOVE to see Harper’s story because omg her personality is amazeballs. I cannot recommend this series and author enough!
I loved the older heroine presence in this series and this was a great slow build up. The build up for end of the novel was a little too slow for my liking but it was a great story over all and some good spice
While I preferred the first two in the series, this one made me feel a lot more emotionally. Her pain felt like my pain. Overall though if a series has kept my interest enough that I read all the books in it, it gets 5 stars.
The mom should have been able to have another child. Ridiculous considering the “magic” element and the “ healing magic” posed by the author regarding Dragon Venom. So stupid to put that in the story but ignore the possibilities. What a downer. Very sad.
