The Mansion Series - Episode 3: The Gift
Hector Sanchez has just finished his MBA and wants to make his mark in the world of business. After working as an assistant for members of The Mansion for the past few years, he’s ready to part ways and strike out on his own. The problem is, The Mansion isn’t ready to let him go just yet.
Stacey Corsair is a former stripper who is stuck in a bad relationship with her boss. She is tough as nails and yet allows herself to be used and abused just in order to survive. She longs to find a man who is truly deserving of her love and devotion. When Hector enters her club one night, she wonders if he is that man.
The Mansion makes Hector an offer he can’t refuse—membership in The Mansion—but requires that he first prove himself in business and then provide a gift to them as a sign of loyalty.
Stacey might be that perfect gift, but is she willing to be trained as a submissive? And will she agree to serve The Mansion anyway? Plus, is Hector capable of giving up the woman he now loves, just for membership?
... You showed me that I was worth more than I believed I was. You gave me hope, opportunity, and love.

SYNOPSIS:
The story is about Stacey Corsair and Hector Sanchez. They meet and the attraction is evident. Stacey was in a relationship, but Hector came along and that changed. He gave her the chance to become a Sub and took great pleasure in overseeing her training.
Feelings got in the way and in the end Hector has to decide if he can really give Stacy up to the mansion or claim her for himself.
The Review:
The Good: This book had a lot of good waiting to be unleashed. The characters were interesting, the plot entertaining. There were parts where we got caught up in the interaction of the main characters and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Bad:
Unfortunately for us we couldn't get into most of the story. This was part of a series and perhaps it was because having not being exposed to the series beforehand. Whatever it was the scenes seemed rushed at times. We had questions that weren't answered in other parts. It all played together to pull us from the book a little too much.
The Rating.
We saw potential in this book and there were times we thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue. Still it just didn't grab us like we wanted.
Stacey Corsair is working at a strip club and surviving by allowing herself to be in an abusive relationship with the owner. Hector Sanchez is making his way in the world of business after completing his MBA, and is on his way to larger success. He steps in when at a strip club with clients he witnesses Stacey's boyfriend hit her. She loses her job and along with it her place to stay. Hector is offered a chance at membership in the Mansion if he can present a gift to them to prove he can excel at dominance. He sees that Stacey may be a submissive and that training her and presenting her as a gift might change both their lives for the better.
Hector came from the streets and worked hard to get where he is. He recognizes similar traits in Stacey and in addition to being attracted to her he does have a desire to help make her life better. Both characters are likable, if a bit underdeveloped, and their sexual chemistry is good. I found some of the dialogue to be a little too formal, but I know that some of that has to do with the rules and traditions of The Mansion. This is a pretty quick read, and I think those who have enjoyed the previous books in this series will also enjoy Hector's story.

This can be read as a standalone; as I read it like that. It was interesting story bout learning to not give up on yourself and to put your trust in the people that your heart tells you too. I enjoyed this book. I plan to go back and read the other 2 previous books so all the characters fall into place.
Hector Sanchez has been working hard most of his life. He didn't let the hard way if life affect his ability to not settle. He wanted to make something of himself. He continued to work hard earning his MBA. He has been working at the Mansion for some time but when the chance of a lifetime to belong to something greater comes along, he knows he must take a chance.
Stacey Corsair has grown up the hard way, stripping her way through life. She has had more abusive relationships than should be allowed but she craves the abuse in some ways. After setting her eyes in a mysterious man, her world is turned upside down. She is given a chance to better herself but also she will be getting the greatest reward of all.
Can Stacey take this chance on a stranger? Will Hector be able to offer his Gift to the Mansion when thrive comes? How will Hector and Stacey deal with the instant attraction and need to please each other?

The gift is Book 3 to a series but can be read as a standalone which is what we did, but probably wouldn't recommend that we felt we were a bit behind the 8 ball we were not sure if the other books entwine with this one, but we are guessing they do.
We liked the book but we felt it was missing really important elements to the story line. We feel it skipped over them parts and if it had have gone into more detail we think it would have been a lot better. All the makings were there but we feel it just didn't deliver all the way but was still enjoyable to read.
Stacey Corsair was a stripper then hostess, she was girlfriend to the boss until Hector Sanchez came along and changed that.
Hector Sanchez gave her the opportunity to become a submissive to the mansion and undertake her training.
In the end can Hector really hand her over to the mansion when he has fallen in love with her?? Will she go?? That part you will have to read to find out!!!
i have to preface this review with a couple of things: 1) i typically do not like bdsm books 2) i do not like serials and 3) i did not read books 1 & 2.
all that being said i gave it 3 stars - it had potential. it felt like pretty woman does bdsm although not too hardcore. the fairy tale romance for a girl down on her luck. i felt the story was a bit short and underdeveloped. the writing was ok...a bit elementary at times.
even though this book can be read as a stand-alone, i felt like i was missing vital information because i had not read books 1 & 2 so i would recommend reading this series in order.
This book was something very different than what I normally read. It took me some time to get into it. But once I did I read it very quick. I'm not sure how to write this review, I enjoyed the story, I felt it was well written and flowed from one page to the next flawlessly. Hector finds Stacey and she feels that he destroyed her life. Only to find out, he gives her a life. If you are looking for a hot, quick read then this is it! And just when I thought the end was coming it twists around and you are surprised by what happens.
I really did like this book, however I felt that some bits were rushed through. The story had a good story and was well developed and made me want to read more. Then the end just fell away for me. It was over to quickly. I was left wanting more.
That said, the attraction between the main characters was intense and they were an enjoyable couple to read about.
For a short story it was well written and drew me in to keep reading til the end.
