This is a board book, but it is for early readers and not toddlers. The book contains numerous facts, and cut outs of various whales and dolphins. I suspect it is made from heavier stock because boys and girls will want to look at the marine mammals all the time.

I am a big fan of books that make science fun. This book does that. It's not done as a story, it's non-fiction and interesting. I think it's out of print, but readily available through many second-hand sources. Ours came from a used bookstore.

Strongly Recommended, especially for classrooms.
