Aurora finds herself having to go to Medford after her uncle died; she was left his bookstore, among other things, to deal with. When she gets there, her car breaks down and she is helped by the Grady brothers who just so happen to own a mechanic shop and offer to help her.

Aurora is already not in the mood to deal with the brothers as she, isn't exactly please to be here in the first place as she didn't have much to do with her uncle and she has a job waiting back home that she worked hard to get and is now having to take time off work to settle up her uncles estate.

Strange things start to happen fairly quickly with a strange comment from someone, or all the things the lawyer says that Aurora is going to have to deal with legally, it starts to stress her out a lot and thats where the first encounter with Mason happens. This first encounter with Mason does set everything in motion between Aurora and the brothers, and on a fairly fast pace.
'We also have almost like a cozy Mystery vibe going on as well with someone trying to lay a legal claim to the bookstore her uncle left her. Someone is very clearly trying to run her out of town, although that becomes pretty obvious who it is pretty quickly because this person is not just harassing Aurora but also the Grady brothers and most of the town. And there was also a mountain of debt that the bookstore was in, and all of this was just driving Aurora's head in.

And just when I think my life couldn’t get messier?
Two pink lines say otherwise.

❤️Mason: Youngest brother, cocky, always joking around
❤️Ethan: The oldest and grumpiest, has an intense personality
❤️Owen: The quiet one, who seems happy to listen.

I loved returning to Medford in this book. First, you have to know this is a why-choose. While you absolutely can read this as a stand-alone book, there are characters in here that you meet in Stuck with My Brother's Firefighter Besties, which is set in the same town.

I loved all the personalities of all the brothers and enjoyed seeing the relationship grow between all four of them, even if it was very fast-paced. There were a few times, though, that Aurora did or said things that I thought Come on, girl, you really can not be this stupid. But other than that, I enjoyed this book. I also like that you get to see Aurora not just develop a relationship with the brothers, but you see her make friends in the town as well, especially with Lila, who you meet in the other book, who happens to have 3 partners. I enjoyed seeing Aurora finally come out of her shell a bit and admit to herself that maybe the life she had workeed her ass off for wasn't the life she wanted she had just convicned herself that it was and maybe just maybe this life in Medford is worth it.

This book isn't just all spice, it has emotion and sweetness, but also genuine connections and not just the relationship with Aurora and the 3 men, but also Aurora making friends and learning that Medford might just be what she needs. I also loved the cozy mystery vibes it gives off as well.

Final verdict?
This is a spicy, sweet why-choose that had me wanting more. I highly recommend this book.

I received a free copy of the book via Booksprout, and the following review is entirely my own voluntary and honest opinion.

Lacey Day's latest novel is the second in the “Men of Medford” series, and as the title suggests, we stay in Medford – the small town where the residents are as loyal as quickly gossip gets spread. This time, the story revolves around a young woman, Aurora, who is forced to put her big-city career on hold to take over her late uncle's bookstore. The building is not exactly in saleable condition, and it's in legal trouble, too, as a greedy lawyer is doing everything he can to get the store – and other local businesses – into his hands.

In her predicament, Aurora can count on the help of the three local car mechanics, the Grady brothers. Together, Ethan, Owen, and Mason carry on their father's workshop, and although they have different personalities, all three quickly become close to the protagonist. Mason's flirtatious, slightly cheeky style tries to turn Aurora's world upside down, Owen's quiet, caring nature slowly builds her trust in them, while Ethan's stern and protective presence sparks deeper emotions. The dynamics of the three men work well, and while some of their traits clearly set them apart, they do blend together a little at times – a little more individuality would have suited them well.

Romance remains at the heart of the story, laced with passion and erotica, but the development of relationships is more nuanced and easier to follow than in the first part. Aurora's character is more believable and thoughtful, but when the story takes a new turn – she discovers that she is pregnant and the father is one of the Grady brothers – her character also feels a little underdeveloped. The decision whether to return to her old life or to build a new home and family in Medford, although exciting, gives the story a slightly clichéd twist.

A genuinely enjoyable moment in the book is the return of the characters from the first part. The reappearance of Lila, Jaxon, Colt, and Ryan not only evokes nostalgia but also reinforces the unity of the world of the series. It's good to see that the story threads of the past are not lost, but are naturally woven into the new novel.

“Stuck with my Mechanic Daddies” is a likeable, dynamic story that is certainly more polished than the first part. While there are still some rushed or less developed parts – the pacing of the endgame in particular could have been more balanced – the development of emotional layers and character arcs is encouraging. For those who enjoyed the first volume in the series, this book will also be a pleasant read. And for those who join in now, they will find themselves immersed in a spicy yet emotional story of three caring men and a determined woman trying to find what it really means to find a home.

Back in Medford—and wow, what a return. When big-city marketing exec Aurora is forced to take time off work to settle her estranged uncle’s estate, she’s less than thrilled to be heading to the small town of Medford. But when her car breaks down and she’s rescued by the three Grady brothers—who just so happen to own the local mechanic shop—her life takes a sharp and unexpected turn.

Aurora is in no mood for small talk, let alone small-town charm, especially not when the bookstore she’s inherited is drowning in debt and the local lawyer starts hinting at legal drama. Then there’s the mystery of someone trying very hard to drive her out of town—blackmail, threats, and sabotage included. But it’s her first encounter with Mason, the youngest Grady brother, that truly sets everything in motion.

This story is a why-choose romance featuring three very different brothers:
Mason – the cocky, playful charmer
Ethan – the grumpy, brooding protector
Owen – the quiet, steady listener

Despite a whirlwind pace, their connection with Aurora feels emotionally grounded. Yes, there’s plenty of steam, but there’s also heart, humor, and a cozy mystery vibe that kept things interesting. The plot deepens as a money-hungry developer targets the town and Aurora’s bookstore, creating real stakes beyond just the romance.

And just when things couldn’t get more complicated? Two pink lines. Yep.

I loved seeing Aurora grow—not just in her relationships, but in how she finds a found family in Medford. Her bond with Lila (from Stuck with My Brother’s Firefighter Besties) is sweet and supportive, offering a glimpse into a community where poly love is accepted, and dreams can be rewritten.

While I occasionally found myself frustrated with Aurora’s decisions (girl… really?), I was ultimately rooting for her. The blend of small-town charm, romance, mystery, and spicy tension makes this a compelling read.

Stuck with my Mechanic Daddies
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Synopsis:
The last thing Aurora planned was to have to return to Medford, but when her uncle leaves her the bookstore, that's exactly what she has to do. Putting her life on hold, Aurora returns only to find herself broke down before she ever lands in Medford. As if that wasn't with it's own issues, she runs into the Grady brothers.
Mason , Ethan, and Owen immerse themselves into every part of Aurora's life from the get-go and Aurora soon finds herself trying to ignore the small town gossip when she finds herself with a baby on the way.

My thoughts:
Aurora has a huge chip on her shoulder before she ever lands in Medford. She has no plans to keep the book store or set roots in the town. She wants to go in, clean it up, and get out as fast as possible so she can get back to her life. I don't like the chip on her shoulder, however, it does set the stage for the book. I think Lacey laid this book out very well and with precision timing. The boys introduce themselves to Lacey one at a time and win her heart slowly.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes slow burn, reverse harem, romance, spicy small town, why choose, and forced proximity. I can't wait to read the next book!

New to me author. Cute little small town why choose romance, with a "surprise" pregnancy.

I put the surprise in parenthesis for a reason, lol. The FMC was banging 3 dudes for weeks and even in the first encounter with each of them, there was NO talk about birth control or using condoms. They didn't even have the "i'm clean" talk, etc that usually occurs in these books. Soooooo honestly it really shouldn't be a surprise when she ends up with a positive pregnancy test.

I also don't mind multiple partners, I read why-choose so obviously BUT I don't like not being upfront about having those multiple partners. When she slept with the second brother, or even before the third, there should have been a moment there like "Oh, by the way, i've slept with both your brothers". Instead, they found out from each other, not from her.

I like the small town coming together aspect of the book. If you are looking for a quick, easy, spicy time, this is for you. I will probably pick up another in this series but it's not at the top of my TBR. More like a palette cleanser after reading something darker, etc.

Lacey Day does it again with another fantastic reverse harem romance in the 𝑀𝑒𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑀𝑒𝑑𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑑 series.

Aurora’s life is turned upside down when she inherits her uncle’s bookstore. Stranded in Medford with a broken-down car, she meets the Grady brothers. Sparks fly, and Aurora finds herself tangled in the sheets with all three of them and unsure of everything she thought she wanted.

Medford may be a small town but its hiding big secrets. This isn’t just a fight for love, but a fight for the town itself. Packed with heat, tension, and unexpected twists, this story is a page-turner.

Oh my goodness, that extended epilogue🥵🥵🥵

If you loved 𝑆𝑡𝑢𝑐𝑘 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑚𝑦 𝐵𝑟𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟'𝑠 𝐹𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝐵𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠 as much as I did, you’ll enjoy the familiar faces. Lila and Aurora's friendship adds more even heart to the story. Both books can be read as standalones, I highly recommend reading both for the full experience.

Aurora is a big shot marketing exec in the city but when her uncle dies and leaves her with his bookstore in a small town she has to go to settle his estate but finds a lot more than she bargained for with three men she’s attracted to and a money hungry developer trying to threaten her into selling.

If you’re into why choose with three brothers then this is the book for you. I personally don’t love the brothers aspect, feels a little weird, but other than that it’s a fun story. Love the bits of suspense and mystery and tension for whether the town will be able to overcome the developer’s trying to buy them all out. Good spice and quite a bit of it. Surprise pregnancies happen a lot when you don’t have a single conversation about protection, I still don’t love the trope but it is compelling in this instance. I like this little town a lot, I’ll have to go back and read about the firefighters. Looking forward to more.

This story revisits Medford and Lila (and her brothers firefighter besties).
Aurora gets to see a poly relationship, and luckily for her, it’s been a little more normalised. When she chats with Lila, she’s intrigued.
But… it still doesn’t stop separate hook-ups, leading to tension between the brothers.

This one was a little darker - blackmail, intrigue, and threats dominated. The spice was… whew…
I love the found family aspect for Aurora. It wasn’t just Ethan, Owen and Mason.. it was Lila, her boys and everyone else in town. She finally found somewhere to belong, where she could chase her dreams.

Of course, HEA, and the story finishes off in the best of ways.
I’m intrigued… who’s going to have the next story?.

When Aurora inherit her uncles bookstore in Medford it’s the last place she ever wants to be but the day she rolls into town her car breaks down and there she meets the Grady Brothers, Owen, Ethan and Mason are all good looking men and they are the last people she wants to deal with, but circumstances Dictate otherwise.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and found it to be very spicy and full of drama and action but eventually Aurora‘s life is turned upside down. There is blackmail and threats and intrigue and there is a lot going on. But the heat factor is through the roof and the romance. There is a happily ever after for all involved.

Aurora, Mason, Ethan, and Owen.

A good RH needs a fine balance in delivery. This story lacked that balance. She has a physical relationship with each one but no communication. To me that is along the lines of cheating or just plain deceitful. Then they advanced to a physical relationship with the whole group. What lacked was good conversation/ relationship building. There was more shown of Aurora building relationships with the girls instead of her men. The first great conversation between the group was in the last 15% of the story. This story just lacked for me. Did not engage the reader to be invested in the main characters. The whole issue of the “weird” things happening in the MMC shop was very anticlimactic.

Aurora inherits a bookstore in a small town. Upon going there, her car breaks down and the local mechanics take it in to fix it. Due to it being a Jaguar, it will take time.

Each man, Ethan, Owen, and Mason Grady, spends a night with Aurora. The longer she stays, the more things that pop up to sabotage both her bookstore and the auto shop.

As time goes forward, she finds that she's pregnant, who is behind the incidents, and gets fired from her job in the city.

I loved the mystery behind the story. I loved the men taking care of her without being cavemen about it. The mutual love and the respect wonderful.

If you enjoy a good RH, a bit of mystery, this one's for you.

Aurora and Her Guys . . .

Aurora’s uncle dies and leaves her his bookstore. So she heads for Medford to fix it up. But her car breaks down and she has to leave it with the mechanics. While there, she enjoys herself with the Grady brothers, Mason, Ethan, and Owen. The guys help her fix the bookshop and strange things seem to be happening. Will she have to look into an odd mystery to find out what is going on here? Will she end up finding her happiness in the small town and moving here? And what will her guys say when they discover she is pregnant? Yep, this place is starting to feel like home already!

Another wonderful read about the men of Medford. Aurora , meets Mason, Owen and Ethan all brothers. They are all want her so why not just share. This book had the mystery, the humor and the spice needed to keep it entertaining and keep me reading. The brothers are all so different yet the same. I love how protective they (the men of Medford) are of the women they love. Another winner in my book by Lacey Day. This one is a stand along BUT, you will see some characters from the other books that you might want to go back and read about. You won't be disappointed.

Fun RH romance

A good storyline with a slow-build RH romance with 3 mechanic brothers, with action, a broken car, a book shop, romance and love.

When Aroura inherited a book shop her plan was to sell it and get back to the big city. But when her car breaks down on the way into town she's helped by the Grady brothers.

Though she finds them annoying she can't deny her attraction for them and with the book shop throwing up more issues than she anticipated, and the men happy to help with more than just the car, she has some life changing decisions to make.

This one had me flipping pages fast. The setup? Wild, but it worked. Aurora’s prickly attitude grated a bit, but watching her get tangled up with three very different brothers made it hard to look away. There’s spice, there’s heart, and there’s just enough small-town drama to keep it from getting too soft. The pacing’s choppy in spots, and yeah, the whole “let's all share her” thing could’ve gone sideways, but it didn’t. The mystery added some grit, and the town had that cozy feel without being cloying. A few lines got repetitive, and some scenes felt rushed, but I was still locked in. It’s a hot, messy, chaotic ride and I’m not mad about it.

“Stuck with My Mechanic Daddies” by Lacey Day

-A spicy, suspenseful and explicit romance with heart, heat, and a heroine who finds her place.i received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Aurora finds safety—and steam—with three caring mechanic brothers in a small town. Mystery, sabotage, and secrets threaten her dreams and the lives they’ve built. The found family warmth balances out the darker twists of blackmail and betrayal.
I love “Page Turner” as a name for a bookstore.

Aurora, try’s to fight the inevitable but then she finally learns that you can have a home made somewhere that you never expected. Coming to Medford to sell an inherited book store called the Page Turner, she thinks will be cut and dry. Well that was clearly wrong of her to think. Stick on the side of the road before even getting to town she meets the Grady brothers Owen, Ethan and Mason.

This book is full of twist and turns blackmail and a snake in the grass but he doesn’t win. The Grady’s and Aurora come out on top with the whole towns support in tow.

I loved the way the author integrated a bit of suspense along with romance in this book. The characters were strong, yet also had just the right balance of softness to them. The plot was very well thought out and executed and the pace was spot-on!
I really enjoyed the fact that Ms. Day gave numerous little hints as to whom the "bandit" was without really giving it away, and kept it interesting on many different fronts.
Definitely an extremely pleasant treat to read!.

Overall, this book was written so well and absolutely beautifully! I loved everything about it. This is a easy read with great characters and I'll definitely read more of Lacey's books. Overall it was a great contemporary romance! This story was fun, quick pace and had a ton of fun interactions between each other. I absolutely loved everything about this story. It was beautifully written, had a great original storyline and wonderful characters. I loved not only the main characters, but so many of the side characters. I couldn’t put it down until the end!

I liked the plot...

But the story was infuriating. Where were the police, the security system for a business. A desperate person breaks into and tried to burn down an old and closed book store. They had time to do all that before the next of kin got there. Nothing was ever mentioned about closing up her apt. or getting her stuff.
How did they get video of lawson breaking into other businesses?
I had so many questions? Not all were answered in the story. I should have given it 4 stars because writing a book is hard. And I did like the happy ending.

I had a hard time with this one. I really wanted to like it, but the fact that they were brothers made it hard. It gave me a real incest vibe. If they were friends, I feel like it would’ve gone a whole different way.
I also had a hard time with the storyline. I felt like it was really rushed because it was more focused on the relationship between Aurora and the brothers, and not as much as the backstory of the bookshop and the issues within that.
Not awful, but not my favorite.
I would be willing to give Other books by this author a chance .

I loved Aurora, Ethan, Mason and Owen's story.
A slow burn romance, until it isn't then it is dynamite & fireworks.
I couldn't put this down, pulled in by the mystery just as much as the heartwarming romance. With humour too what more could a reader want.
I enjoyed this second book so much that I have been and bought the first story:- Stuck with My Brother's Firefighter Besties.

Medford Problems

Returning to Medford was not what Aurora wanted to do but inheriting her uncle's bookstore and debt was what she got. Running into the Grady brothers was just the icing on the cake in more ways than one. The intense attraction between them was bound to be ignited and consequences be found. It was a story where blackmail, sabotage, legal trouble and threats collide. It was a great read!.

Feels like it took a long time to get nowhere… and even though the situation was serious with her uncle’s bookshop, Aurora seemed to be very unmotivated to do anything about it. I also would have preferred for the brothers and her to all talk about what kind of relationship they were getting into before they started having sex. It felt really awkward because I never really believed they were cool with the direction of things. Communicating could have solved a little of that.

Slightly Misleading

This was a decent read. It kind of felt more like a mystery with a side plot of romance than romance with a side plot of mystery. Also, the promotional blurb I read mentioned pregnancy. I love a good, unexpected pregnancy trope. However, she didn't find out about the pregnancy until the book was over half finished and didn't even tell the guys until the book was basically over with. Just felt a little misleading.

Great plot and story. The first half felt like it was dragging on. There were some things that just didn’t make sense when reading and some missing details that just made the flow falter. At the half way point it felt like we suddenly needing an actual plot so they put that in for a few chapters and then went back to the smut for a bit before finishing the plot. It just didn’t flow nicely to me and made it hard to finish.

Even though I had problems with the first book in this series, I gave this one a go because I that's what I usually do when there is a series. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get really into this one. I did appreciate that the other women and friendships exist in this one. One small complaint I have was that the book begins in February, but then at most a couple of weeks later the town is having a Fall festival. It didn't change the story really, but that sort of inconsistency is distracting.

Fun Read

This was a quick read filled with suspense, humor and so much heated chemistry! What started as a means to an end for Aurora turns into an adventure to see if she gets her happily ever after with three brothers. Is that possible? This story started with me thinking this character was a little too negative but then I guess when you don’t have anything but negativity then you project it. Read their story and find out. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!
