We first meet Isabella Graham and Travis Jones in book #1, Six Months in Montana, when Isabella is dumped by boyfriend Christian Ford, who also announces that he's marrying someone else in two weeks. Sure, it's a marriage of convenience, but Isabella is usually the one who does the dumping.

Christian's best friend, Travis Jones, feels for Isabella, but is secretly thrilled that she's now available as he's had a secret crush on her since grade school. Isabella however, only sees Travis as her bossy and often annoying, attorney. As a high-powered real estate broker, she has a business relationship and friendship with Travis and that suits her just fine. Romantically, she has her eyes set on someone else, Aidan Summers, who has just moved home to Beauville, MT and is the complete opposite of Travis.

Aidan is blond, and soft-spoken, and a successful artist. He also doesn't seem to have a clue that Isabella is interested, and she intends to do something about that. But, Travis has other ideas.

Isabelle also has to contend with a new realtor in the office. Sweet Missy Atwell is a former elementary school teacher and is well loved by everyone in town. Isabella never imagined that Missy could be a threat to her business or her love life and is not happy to discover she is a danger to both when clients start requesting Missy and Aidan seems to show an interest in her as well.

Her 93 year old great uncle Jim advises Isabella to loosen up a bit, to soften her competitive edges and she takes that advice to heart, hoping to win over Aidan and stop losing new clients to Missy.

Continuano le avventure degli abitanti del paesino del Montana in cui Pamela Kelley ha ambientato la sua serie “Dolce e selvaggio Montana”. L’impressione che ne avrete leggendo sarà sempre la stessa dei precedenti romanzi della serie: una sana e tranquilla favola a lieto fine localizzata in un paesaggio reale, tra personaggi che vivono vite comuni e cercano di risolvere problemi che chiunque di noi potrebbe avere. Provando intanto speranze, desideri, molti dubbi, insicurezze e qualche difettuccio.

“I buoni amici, la famiglia e l’amore. Che altro ci occorre?”

In particolare i due personaggi principali li avevamo già incontrati nei precedenti libri, Isabella è la ex di Christian (protagonista del primo della serie, “Sei mesi in Montana”) e Travis è il fratello di Traci (protagonista del secondo, “Un Natale in Montana”). Si conoscono da sempre, sono stati anche compagni di scuola, ma tra amici si sa, è faticoso e pericoloso diventare qualcos’altro… Entrambi sono insicuri come se non si conoscessero affatto. Eppure l’amore si fa strada da solo, senza bisogno di troppe spinte.

“Qualche settimana, una vita… non è quello che fa la differenza. Quando una cosa è giusta, è giusta.”

L’amore è sempre stato e sempre sarà il motore del mondo, e non soltanto per il continuo della specie, ma proprio come scopo per mettere ogni giorno avanti a un altro e vivere insieme le mille emozioni di questa pazza vita. Evviva le favole reali!

Buongiorno lettori!

Sono qui con un'altra lettura che mi ha tenuta incollata al kindle in questi giorni. Che pasticcio, questo Montana! di Pamela Kelley, edito dalla Virgibooks e terzo volume della serie Dolce & Selvaggio Montana.

A differenza dei due romanzi precedenti, questo mi è piaciuto decisamente di più, perché ha saputo coinvolgermi nelle vicende dei due protagonisti.

“È solo che per me non ha mai funzionato in questo modo prima d’ora. È stato difficile per me riuscire a riconoscere che un rapporto così possa essere reale, e soprattutto che possa continuare su questa strada.”

“Quando trovi la persona giusta, è esattamente così che vanno le cose. Lo sai e basta, e stare con quella persona ti sembra giusto, semplice e ti fa sentire meglio.”

Travis Jones è da sempre innamorato di Isabella Graham, ma non ha mai osato rivelarlo ad anima viva, se non alla sua gemella, e non ha mai pensato di farsi avanti, soprattutto non nel periodo in cui lei usciva con il suo migliore amico, Christian.

Adesso ne è passato di tempo e, ormai, Christian è sposato, quindi perché non azzardare a confessargli quello che prova?

Isabella non ha mai considerato Travis più che l'avvocato a cui si affida per il suo lavoro di agente immobiliare, nonostante i due si conoscano da tutta la vita. Con il ritorno in città di un artista di nome Aidan e per cui Isabella ha sempre avuto una cotta fin da adolescente, la situazione si complica. Ma complici degli appartamenti da visitare e qualche cena di piacere, piano piano, tra i due sbocceranno sentimenti che non avevano mai preso in considerazione...

“Tu pensi che le cose fra noi siano troppo belle per essere vere?” Travis la stava scrutando intensamente.

“Sì. Cioè no. Spero solo che restino sempre così,” confessò Isabella.
“Resteranno sempre così. Tu ed io siamo fatti per stare insieme. Siamo una coppia perfetta.”

Questo romanzo penso che sia il mio preferito della serie, per ora. È stato uno spasso leggerlo e immergermi, ancora una volta, in questo scenario del Montana.

Ad essere sincera, ho sempre avuto un debole per Travis, già nelle precedenti storie; averlo come protagonista principale ha soddisfatto la mia curiosità. Travis è adorabile; un uomo che ha sempre saputo cosa volesse ma, per diverse ragioni e per i tempi sbagliati, ha continuato ad esitare, quindi sono stata felice che finalmente abbia avuto il coraggio di confessare il suo amore.

Discorso diverso, invece, per Isabella che, nei primi due romanzi, ci viene descritta quasi come una donna snob e calcolatrice. Sinceramente? All'inizio, quando ho capito che la nostra protagonista fosse lei, ho avuto paura di non riuscirci a stabilire neanche il minimo contatto emotivo. Timore che è stato smantellato un po' alla volta durante i capitoli.

Isabella è stata la vera rivelazione di questa storia e sono felice di averla letta! Lo stile dell'autrice è molto semplice, anche se tanto descrittivo. La narrazione, come sempre in terza persona, non è una delle mie preferite, ma in questo romanzo non mi ha minimamente infastidita, tanto ero presa dai due protagonisti.

L'autrice ha già buttato qualche indizio su chi sarà la protagonista del prossimo volume e io non sto nella pelle al pensiero perché Anna ha saputo stuzzicare la mia curiosità. Se amate le storie leggere, romantiche e con un pizzico di gelosia, questa serie potrebbe darvi delle soddisfazioni.

I am having so much fun writing this story. If you've read Six Months in Montana, you already know that Isabella is very different from the heroines in the first two books. She's a bit of a diva, used to getting her own way. She's also beautiful, though somewhat full-figured as she likes to indulge in good food, yet she doesn't drink at all, and has no interest in or talent for cooking. She is the queen of take-out. She is a hard-worker, driven and extremely competitive, maybe too much so, which is something she is advised to work on by her great uncle Jim, whose opinion she values.

I was inspired by Gone with the Wind, as I wrote this. Isabella reminds me of the willful and misguided Scarlett. Like Scarlett, Isabella has a crush on someone who is so wrong for her, artist Aidan Summers, but she can't see it. She also can't see that the perfect guy for her, her Rhett Butler, Travis Jones, is right in front of her. She also has to contend with a sweet, bubbly new realtor, Missy Atwell, who is a surprising threat to both her business and her love life as Aidan seems to be interested in Missy.

I purchased a copy of the novella Montana Sweet Western Romance Series, Book 3:Mischief in Montana: Isabella and Travis's story by Pamela M. Kelley and this review was given freely.
Complex, ever changing and heartwarming with wonderful characters. Attorney Travis Jones tries to fulfill his childhood love for friend and realtor Isabella while fending off unwanted female attention and watching Isabella seek out the attention of returning friend and artist Aidan. A seamless blend of old and new characters with two sweet romances where the couples intermix but eventually find their one true love.

What an absolute gem this book is! A clean romance that will have tears falling and hearts melting throughout, this book gives us the story of Travis and Isabella. Even though there seems to be numerous hurdles that these two have to clear before they manage to find their happy ever after, some in the form of nasty competition, some real and others perceived, and of course, timing. But it would appear that love trumps all, maybe. If you enjoy a clean romance with a HEA, this is one book you won't want to miss. The author has a beautiful writing style that allows for an easy to follow plot with wonderful characters that will warm your heart.

Not my cup of tea...

I've read the series before, but am just now reviewing. I really love the characters, but I feel like very little happens over long periods of time. Each book's time span is several months, but there's no real conflict or drama.
I feel, at times, parts of the stories are wordy and drawn out.
I'm into more suspenseful and darker books, so that's probably the reason I couldn't get into the stories. I did find them entertaining enough to finish the series, so I do recommend giving them a try.

Sounded like a cute read, but so far at chapter 10, roughly half way point, the H and h are still not together (what!!!). Is this romance or suspense? H is into the h, we know from his POV but he does absolutely nothing about it. I was about to DNF but it's just a personal habit to finish something I started.

It did get better when the couple finally started dating, but overall a boring read.

This was the first book in the series that I have read. It was not great. Isabella was annoying as hell, the plot was choppy and there really wasn't a lot of romance. The supporting characters were stereotypical yet bland and mostly unnecessary and the plot while typical took the weirdest path to make it to the end.

I won't read anymore in this series.

A little disappointing

Not a bad book but not overly exciting. Seemed a little juvenile. A lot of the sentences seemed short and incomplete. The first book was still better than the next two.

Wonderful

Two friends for a very long time. He was the shy guy when they were younger. She was out going. The timing for them never seemed right. Then someone can into both of their lives and theory took the leap.

I didn't realize when I picked up this one that i had read book 1. But I missed book 2. It took a bit of time to get into this one, but I gave it a chance and ended up hooked. I'll keep my eyes open for deals on the other books in the future.

Sweet, clean and quick
