This book was a little bit of a rollercoaster in how I felt reading it.

Start - strong and interested
Mid Start - started to go downhill - almost DNF
Middle - ok, maybe I should stick this out, it’s picking up again
Mid middle - oh no
End quarter - yeah, I am not even really reading this now. It’s lost the plot totally

Good points - the bones of the plot was interesting. The FMC is a psychiatrist in a prison. The MMC is an inmate and also the MC of a biker gang. They both have trauma from family and find an ‘instant connection vibe’

Not the best points -

I like insta love stories, but even this felt very surface level. The 2nd time they’ve ever met in person she’s getting herself off in her office with him while at work….
That juxtaposition didn’t work when her previous character was being shown as an honest, good Dr who would treat all inmates fairly and without prejudice.

The whole ‘side plot’ of her co-worker wanting to date her and then apologising for wanting to date her, while trying to figure out if he was a creep and actually one of the bad guys, then randomly calling her to warn her about an inmate…. I know we’ll probably never speak again, like dude! Just didn’t flow well within the plot.

The ‘outside prison’ plot was really a mess for me. I was confused who was who, what was going on, random ‘leads’ coming from nowhere, random ‘attacks’, random people being introduced for drama but it not really causing any. It felt a little like there had been multiple ideas of where the plot would go and rather than sticking with one or two really good angles, let’s just throw everything in there.

The main characters - while the MMC Wolf remained fairly consistent in his character and attitude the FMC went from clearly smart Dr to ‘giggling’ constantly, ‘yes, hunny’, ‘I have trauma but sure I’ll jump on your crazy bandwagon. Like really as a psychiatrist especially, shouldn’t she have been a little more mature and in tune to everything that was happening around her. If they had made her more of an asset into the ‘drama’ with the club, that would have been more believable than making her come across as some ‘biker bunny’.

Once the spice started it just seemed to go on and on and was replacing any potential plot.

There was a lot of filler. It’s why I almost DNF’d initially. Then it picked up a little before the middle and then went downhill again once they were out of the prison.

The ‘prison’ connection to the FMC was just outlandish. There is no way, no matter how corrupt the system is she would have been allowed to work with inmates with her past and connection to who they were. Totally unbelievable.

I felt like overall the writing came across as very childish. It felt like there were pointless conversations for the sake of putting a certain amount of ‘dialogue’ in the book. There didn’t really feel like there was much character development at all and the overall plot felt like there were too many branches coming off the centre and taking away would could have been a more focused plot line.

This book definitely falls in the grey area of. Yes I read it, I also skimmed a lot, I liked some aspects and hated others, so it was an all encompassing read in that sense I guess.

I was very fortunate to receive this book as an Arc but as always all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. I’ve always been intrigued by the inmate/psychiatrist trope, and this book really plays out that trope well! I really liked Nova’s backstory - it added enough drama to the book to make the plot more interesting in the second half. I appreciated the lack of third act break up in this, I feel like it wouldn’t have made sense - but I did enjoy the bits of insecurity Wolfe had about Nova clearly being out of his league. I liked Wolfe - he’s your classic alpha, dominant, MC president. I appreciated how obsessed he was with Nova and that he treated her like gold the entire book. The book itself felt very fast pace which was nice, it also allowed for a lot to be covered within the plot of the story.

In Death, Love Survives by Angel Anders is a novel that doesn't just promise a romance; it delivers a deeply moving journey of two souls finding sanctuary in the most unlikely of places. While the suspense plot provided a thrilling backdrop that kept me turning pages with bated breath, it was the emotional core of Nova and Wolfe's relationship that truly resonated and earned this four-star rating. Their connection felt less like a trope and more like a carefully constructed haven, where trust and vulnerability could slowly, beautifully blossom amidst chaos and danger.

The book skillfully navigates the difficult waters of past trauma, using the "protector/protegee" dynamic not as a simple plot device, but as a vehicle for profound healing. Witnessing Wolfe's dominant and protective nature intertwine with Nova's strength and resilience was a powerful experience. It was refreshing to see the story unfold without the predictable third-act conflict, instead allowing the couple's bond to be tested and solidified by external threats, proving that their love was truly meant to survive. The chemistry between them was palpable—a slow-burn magnetism that pulled me into their world completely. It’s a testament to the author’s writing that I found myself rooting for their happily ever after with such fervent hope.

For anyone seeking a romance that is as emotionally layered as it is exciting, this is an excellent choice. It's a testament to the fact that even in the darkest of circumstances, love can be a fierce and beautiful force for survival.

This read was so unexpected. I had an idea of what I was getting into but wow, this one came at me from left field and I loved every minute of it. Wolfe is certainly a charmer but our girl Nova wasn't going to take it. They ended up trauma bonding while they were still Doctor and Patient but when that damn broke? Fire. Plus the added fun of trying to find out who was after them and why was a ride. Overall, if you love, kind of taboo, super heartwarming love while still being spicy, this one is for you!

In Death, Love Survives by Angel Anders includes references to therapist x patient, motorcycle club, open door spice, and opposites attract.

I would recommend it to those who like open-door spice, but that's about it. I know people do it every day, but I couldn't understand someone being willing to act on something that could potentially discredit their occupation and prevent them from using their college degrees again.

Trigger Warnings: trauma, violence, grief, mental health struggles, murder, incarceration, explicit content

Angel Anders delivers a dark and emotional romance that pulls you in from page one and doesn’t let go. In Death, Love Survives introduces us to Nova Fletcher, a prison psychiatrist still haunted by a traumatic loss from her teen years, and Wolfe Walker, a notorious motorcycle club leader convicted of a crime he swears he didn’t commit.

From the prologue, Anders hits you right in the heart 💔—the raw tension and tragedy set the stage for everything Nova carries into adulthood. Fast forward to her work inside Roper State Penitentiary, where she crosses paths with Wolfe. Their first encounter? Electric ⚡️. He’s dangerous, magnetic, and infuriating all at once—and Nova’s instincts tell her there’s more to him than the “monster” label the system has slapped on him.

I loved how Anders wove together romance, suspense, and deep psychological layers. The prison setting added gritty realism, and the push-pull dynamic between Nova and Wolfe had me hooked. Their conversations blur the line between therapist and patient, forbidden yet intoxicating. It’s a love story born out of darkness, but with threads of healing, resilience, and trust. 🖤

What I enjoyed most:
✨ The raw, emotional prologue that set up Nova’s backstory.
✨ Wolfe’s complexity—charming, dangerous, but layered.
✨ The slow-burn chemistry that felt both forbidden and inevitable.
✨ The way themes of trauma, survival, and mental health were handled with care.

What didn’t fully work for me:
⚖️ At times, the pacing leaned heavy on introspection and medical detail, slowing down the romance tension.
⚖️ Ryan’s subplot was predictable, and I found myself wishing for even more focus on Wolfe/Nova’s evolving connection.

Overall, In Death, Love Survives is a dark, emotional romance with heart-thumping suspense and a swoony, complicated love story. If you like your romances with edge, grit, and a touch of danger, this one deserves a spot on your TBR. 📚🔥

This story follows Nova starting her life after such a tragic night with her parents. Now she all alone and finding her ground in adulthood. She is now a doctor of psychiatry and works at a prison. She’s very closed off and lives a very quiet life until a new inmate comes into her prison and let’s just say there are sparks between them when there shouldn’t be.

Wolfe walker, novas new seat prison inmate to learn more about his story. He claims he is not guilty and for some reason nova has a gut feeling that he’s telling the truth. Now nova is invested in finding out who Wolfe is and why someone is trying to pin this murder in him. But in the days that she is researching the why, there’s more to the story and who is involved and those said people try to through her off course and get her to not help this inmate. But the corruption that takes place within the system of how Wolfe got here there is a happy ending.

Wolfe gets his day of justice and asks nova to join him in this new life but that’s not without more fear and people trying to get to Wolfe and nova and then bring them.

Sam who is also another inmate in this prison is the one who took the lives of novas parents and almost ended her too but he didn’t and now he’s out for revenge, he’s working with the inside and the judges to make Wolfe disappear but before this can happen Wolfe gets out and then coincidentally there is a prison break weeks after Wolfe gets out. But why is Sam after Wolfe and Nova? Why does he work with the judge and the warden to make Wolfe disappear, and if not for Nova and his lawyer what would have come of Wolfe and where would he be?

This is a terrible start to a sweet girl but then she finally finds herself in life in the most strangest situation and is it scary for her yes but it also is well worth it.

I had high hopes for this, however, I did feel it fell a little short towards the end. There was a lot of emphasis on Wolfe and Nova inside the prison, but when they were both outside the prison it all seemed rushed. There was no mention of dynamics between Nova and the other club members. Other than the interaction in the lingerie shop, there were no previous club girls getting their claws out, and nobody else with an 'old lady' that took her under their wing.

I really enjoyed the beginning of the book, but it started to lose me. By the middle it started picking up again. Towards the end it felt a little rushed.

The plotline was very good, instant connection, both had a traumatic past, good girl and bad boy.

The execution is where it fell a little short. If the book had been longer then it may have been a little more believable, like their session where he wanted to watch? I think that was their 2nd session, maybe if it had been a few months, or even a few weeks of sessions it would be a little more believable. Also, for being an honest person, she didn't seem too conflicted over what she had done.

The doctor that had shown an interest in her was also a little odd. It didn't seem to serve a purpose.

When he was released and she rode off into the sunset with him is somwhere else I was lost. The stop on the way to his home seemed to be added for the sake of adding a sex scene, and all of a sudden, she's calling him hunny?

I wanted to really love this book with the synopsis it had but for me, it fell short.

This is a totally forbidden and insta lust turning to love and opposites attracts tropes.
I don't usually read reviews before hand but I did for this. I feel like I read a totally different book to them. Anyway I love a good Forbidden romance.
Nova's life was destroyed 10 years ago and she is just living a mundane life. She uses the goodness in her to help inmates with therapy. She believes everyone deserves help with MH, like that about her.
Wolfe is sentenced and is one of the new inmates in Roper State Penitentiary. He may be the Prez in the MC but he was convicted for a crime he didn't do. He is a powerful man and knows what he wants. When he sees Nova he immediately feels something.
Nova wasn't expecting Wolfe as the paperwork were all hush hush. She feels something is off but the chemistry she feels towards him Is leaving her confused.
They can't cross that line but with each session things are heating up hotter.
They somehow manage to get up to Spicy moments. I love the feeling of being scared of getting caught and the fire burning in the session.
When he is released, he wants her to join him. Will she be able to leave her career and life behind and dare to live in the wild?
A lot of drama and suspense of someone attacking Wolfe's business. Somehow Nova's past is mixed in with Wolfe's present.
I loved the alpha in Wolfe but also the gentle and caring side of him towards her. I also enjoyed seeing Nova finding herself and being free.
Great Off Limits, drama, suspense, actions, love and very hot spice.

Nova is a therapist at Roper State Prison with her own shadowed past one that's kept her lonely and closed of from everyone until the newest transfer Wolfe Walker he's been accused and convicted of some bad things and he would be the first to say he's lived his life on the edge of the law but this time around he's been framed he just has to hope his lawyer can get him out what he never expected was to meet the love of his life Nova they shouldn't fit there complete opposites but there connection and there passion can't be stopped but when Wolfe gets out Nova has to decide live the life she's always lived or take a risk on Wolfe. But there's still the past that effects there future death is stalking Nova and Wolf will there love survive whats to come.

I loved how this story started the tension the prison vibe the different characters the always wondering if Nova and Wolfe would get found out and I just new who the bad guy was but it was interesting how the author revealed it my only hick-up with this book was the first half was so interesting but the last half seemed rushed or like the book needed a couple of more chapters to really let you know what happened to all the characters I mean I get that the bad guy had a majore grudge he was also unhinged but I guess I just wanted more drama in the end more suspense.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

In Death, Love Survives was one of those books that pulled me in quickly with its premise. A prison therapist and a dangerous yet magnetic inmate? The tension was there from the start, and I loved how Nova’s calm, methodical exterior clashed with Wolfe’s raw intensity. Their chemistry built fast, maybe too fast at times, but it was undeniable.

What worked for me was the atmosphere; the prison setting added this electric sense of danger, and Nova’s own trauma gave her decisions more weight. I also appreciated that Wolfe, despite being an alpha biker type, treated her with respect and obsession in equal measure.

The first half had me absolutely hooked. The angst, the push-and-pull, the forbidden edge; it was addictive. The second half did lose a little steam for me, though. Some of the outside-the-prison drama felt rushed and a bit scattered, like the story was trying to cover too much too quickly. I wanted a slower unravelling, especially when it came to Nova’s shift from careful professional to someone willing to risk everything.

Still, I finished the book feeling invested in Nova and Wolfe’s messy, all-consuming love. It’s not perfect, but it delivers on tension, spice, and the kind of ride-or-die romance that makes you root for a couple even when they’re making questionable choices.

If you like Forbidden Attraction, MC romance vibes, and characters who are scarred by their pasts and find light in each other, this is definitely worth the read.

Nova Fletcher survives a near death experience when she is a teenager, now she is a psychiatrist working in a prison. Notorious motorcycle club leader Wolfe Walker has entered her prison and she is assigned to his case. Nova knows that she cannot fall for an inmate, but the way that he looks at her, the way that he talks to her, and the way that he looks, she can’t help but feel a pull to him. Wolfe asks her one question, and now Nova finds herself in a dangerous world, where she does not know if she belongs…. if she can survive.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I read it in less than 24 hours. Yes, what was happening with the motorcycle club was interesting and I wanted to know who was behind attacking the club and going after Wolfe, but I’ll be honest, that’s not why I was engrossed in the book. Wolfe and Nova is what kept me glued to this book.

Were these characters a little over the top? Sure – his grand professions to her about his feelings, caring for her, his possessiveness were so constant and repetitive.. but I was here for EVERY moment of it! This an insta-love/lust story, which I don’t normally like. I do wish there was more talking between the two to establish more of a romantic connection between them. But otherwise, I did love these characters together.

I really love the title of this book and what it means – it’s really brilliant.

Please read the trigger warnings before reading this book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This book deals with an inmate and a psychiatrist. I have never read a book before by Angel Anders. So I wasn't sure what to expect. This is the story of Wolfe and Nova. Nova is a psychiatrist in a prison and Wolfe is an inmate in the prison she works at. He is also a member a biker gang. Now here is the instant love of this book that I found a little hard to believe. Or it was very surface level. You don't do what she does in her office the second time they are ever around each other if you have a deep connection to someone. They basically trauma bond over the families they had and what they endured in their childhood. We do get the back story of Nova in this book. The first of this book flies by but in the middle I had to lay it down. Read something else and then pick it back out. I am not a person who does not finish a book. I will suffer through. I think it was the time out of the prison that I just couldn't like no matter how hard I tried. They are also in danger and have to figure this out. Overall it was great at the start and I was invested and then it just lost me. I so wanted to love this book. I have only read one book about a man in prison and someone who worked there and I loved it. So this one I thought would be great. However, I was disappointed.

This book was 🤌🤌. This was my first book by Angel Anders to dip my toes in, and I don’t regret it at all. This book was not only a MC Romance, but it shed light on trauma and mental health. While it touched on trauma and mental health, those weren’t the sole focuses of the story, but there were reminders that those two things played a part in how the FMC came to fall for the MMC.

I will say that the spice does kick early on. Somewhere around chapter four or so, and it comes and goes from there. So, the spice is there, but it doesn’t take away from the story at all. You still get to know what’s going on in the background when the two main characters aren’t all over each other.

Nova—the FMC—never truly escapes her past until the end of the book, but she has Wolfe—the MMC—right by her side the whole way. Their level of affection is sickly cute, imo. They’re open, unapologetic, and loud about it. Wolfe is possessive in all the right ways. Not toxically so. He’s not controlling in the least bit.

This book was definitely opposites attract at first, but I think… Eventually, they level out and mold perfectly into each other.

It was a great read. I loved it. It’s one of the few MC romances I’ve read, that I loved the raw—unapologetic—love in.

I can’t wait to check out more from Angel Anders. She wrote this book beautifully, imo.

Thank you Angel Anders for an advanced ecopy of this book!

Honestly loved! It did give me low key Harley Quinn x Joker vibes but without the psychosis 😂 Wolfe is very much possessive and persistent about being with Nova though (aka Dr. Dollface 🤭) She’s the psychiatrist in the penitentiary that Wolfe just got transferred to, and it’s an immediate connection between the two!

It’s a fast burn with medium spice, and all the feels ❤️

Such a fun read, loved the pace, wasn’t too fast, felt like we got all the important bits of the story and weren’t missing anything - although now that I’m thinking it I do still have a burning question 🤔🤔🤔🤔 oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️ still enjoyed the read! No/low angst, even given the circumstances! He’s an MC Pres, and half the book takes place at the prison the other half basically at the MC. Nova developed a lot as a character and comes into herself ❤️ loved that she found joy after the rough life she’d had ❤️ Wolfe is the obsessed MMC who’s world revolves around her 😂 we don’t get too much of his background, but he does open up some with her.

The spice! Defs hot 🥵 defs anywhere BUT a bed 😂😂 except for a few times. That should be a game 🤔 how many scenes where it wasn’t a bed 😂 oh and how many where it was outdoors!!

❤️❤️❤️❤️

This book had me HOOKED from the first chapter. It was so intense and grabbed my attention immediately; I absolutely needed to know what happened.

The first half of the book was amazing. I loved getting to know the characters and see how they interact with one another. I enjoyed the gap in time from the mind blowing first chapter to where the story begins. You could feel the angst, the passion, the tension. You could feel the atmosphere at Roper. You could get in the minds of the characters and their dynamics with each other are clear.

The second half of the book fell slightly flat for me. I feel like Nova did a 180 super quick. I would have liked to see more of a gradual shift. I also think the dialogue became less meaningful than in the first chapter. Things seemed to be just back and forth with less emotion behind the conversation.

I feel like the first half of the book was very detailed, well-paced, and did amazing work setting the story. The second half felt rushed, lacked some of the detail I would have liked such as relationships that formed (romantic and friendly) as well as character development.

I just Loved this book, point blank period !! Ive enjoyed so much discovering Angel’s work and this is hands down my favorite! Read it jn just a few hours

The setting, the plot, the background context that slowly kept giving us insights into why everything made sense …
And guys we have to take a moment to appreciate Mr Walker here! This man is Hot & the kind of man look for - maybe minus the prison sentence

The circumstances in which he meets Nova are far from romantic and this could have gone so many different ways. But who Angels made Wolf out to be is just chefs kiss - you want to keep reading and find out what’s happening next.

Deep down this story is about finding love in the most unexpected and places, the uncertainty and trust that needs to be established & that leap of faith true love requires.

Real life doesn’t always work out the way you want it to but these stories keep my mind & my heart sane. Be in dark, sweet or fantasy - this is why we read these stories & Angel Anders never disappoints!

Thank you for keeping in your world and for writing Nova & Wolf’s story 🖤

Till the next one

With love

Forbidden love, older man, Motorcycle club. Lovedddd it allll.

This book caught my attention immediately in that first chapter. Wolfe Walker is that man.

Nova is so buttoned up and sterile in the first few chapters I almost saw her as kind of boring. Once Wolfe starts to get under her skin, she comes alive. I realized that she has put herself in that box and Wolfe lets her out. Their chemistry is undeniable. The spice amount is perfect and with just enough heat for these two. The brothers in the club are amazing too and I was really worried someone was betraying them but I was so glad to learn it was just the suspected few. The action was great and let Nova fully heal while giving Wolfe a last hurrah, so to speak.

The ending was ✨️chefs kiss✨️ and made me so happy for them.

The only note I have is needing a little more from them. I feel like we didn't get much meat from Wolfe's backstory and I would have liked to have more emotional scenes with them.

This is the second book by Angel Anders that I have read thanks to Grey's Promotions. Thank you so much and I can't wait to read more from you!

What’s it about?
Nova Fletcher works as a therapist for Roper State Penitentiary and keeps to herself and her routines. When the infamous MC Club leader, Wolfe Walker. gets transferred to her prison, he begins to awaken feelings in her that our forbidden. As their mutual attraction grows, Wolfe offers Nova a chance to change her life but taking his offer puts her into a new dark and dangerous world.

My thoughts:

With a somewhat predictable plot, the pacing was quick, and I read the story in a day. Nova and Wolfe are interesting characters with dark backgrounds, and Nova also has a traumatic past which I felt the author could have explored more. I love the way Wolfe falls instantly for Nova and knows she’s it for him. The portrayal of Nova as confident and able to handle Wolfe’s lifestyle is refreshing, and I like that the FMC is strong and resilient. If you’re looking for a quick and exciting read with an MC that will burn the world for the FMC, add this to your TBR.

This book was good! I was an ARC reader for this book and it is my honest opinion. This is the second Angel Anders book and my first of this specific trope of the psychologist/prisoner story. I thought it was well done! In my mind I had visuals of a Sons of Anarchy situation but I actually liked the MMC Wolfe even more. He was instantly swoon worthy for me. The FMC Nova was unexpected for me. She had some trauma to get through but was a strong chick. This read is pretty quick so there wasn’t quite as much character development as I’d like to see especially with our main supporting characters like Caleb and Daisy. I also would have loved more backstory development as well. I’m normally a romantasy reader that tends to have a lot of focus on work building and prophecies and magic systems. This book didn’t have any of that so I was easy to read and get straight get to the plot which is nice to have some sometimes. Overall it was a refreshing book that wasn’t overall complex but had an engaging story line and characters that were fun to read about. Would definitely recommend!

At first I was a little confused because I usually don’t read books with such cliche-ish titles, but then I read the blurb and was like… right, that’s why. Because I’m a sucker for the patient x therapist trope! It’s taboo as heck and has so much tension and fiery attraction. I enjoyed this book a lot, it was thrilling and intense. I admit I enjoyed the start more, where they were in a prison setting, because of the more forbidden love and taboo elements but all of this was great. And I’m all for the “he falls first” trope because it’s hot, he’s very hot. Especially when he asks her how she gets herself off during their second session. Then the second half takes a turn and we’re in a motorcycle club setting, which I also loved because I love my biker boys. The plot was good here but none of the plot twists truly shocked me. I loved both characters but I wish we knew more about Wolfe’s backstory (we only get a little bit), and he’s portrayed as such a villain by others, but we don’t really see his morally grey side. And I also loved Nova, she’s an interesting and lovable character. My one problem is that she does something that should have gravely affected her wellbeing, and it’s mentioned once before it’s dismissed like it never happened? Maybe to move the story along faster or whatnot. I also mentally cringed every time they said “in death love survives” because it was a little too cheesy but I got past it. I did enjoy reading this and loved Nova and Wolfes story. I give this a 4/5

💗ARC Review💗
4⭐️/5🌶️

This book had me questioning my morals, my taste in men, and whether I should be concerned about how fast I fell for a convicted felon with intense eye contact and poetic threats.

The first half? Chef’s kiss. The tension between Nova and Wolfe was criminal—and not just because one of them literally is. I was fully ready to risk it all, become a prison therapist, and develop some highly unethical workplace relationships.

But the second half felt a bit like I was speeding toward a cliff in a stolen car—thrilling, yes, but also a little rushed. I wanted more time to sit in the chaos, soak in the consequences, and see those final dominos fall with a bit more depth.

Still, Nova and Wolfe’s chemistry? Electric. The darkness? Delicious. The drama? As addictive as forbidden fruit served in a holding cell.

Would I go back and do it all again? Absolutely. Just maybe at a slightly slower pace.

Thank you Angel Anders and Grey's Promotions. I was given this book as an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

Okay, so I just finished In Death, Love Survives and wow! I really enjoyed this one. The whole vibe gave me motorcycle gang / Sons of Anarchy energy … not exactly the same thing, but it definitely had me tempted to hit play on some old episodes for the gritty, dangerous mood.

The story follows Nova, a prison therapist who’s still carrying scars from a near-death experience, and Wolfe, the new inmate who immediately brings a whole storm of tension into her world. My younger sister used to work as a prison nurse, so I connected with the setting on a few levels. It felt authentic in a way I didn’t expect. But then you’ve got Nova lusting after an inmate, which cranks up the heat and danger like tenfold.

What really hooked me was watching these two characters wrestle with their own demons and desires. It wasn’t just about the romance (though, trust me, the spice was hot as promised) it felt layered, like I was watching a psychological thriller. At one point I honestly felt like someone was about to pop up behind me, lol. That tension kept me flipping pages nonstop.

The prison backdrop, the forbidden love angle, the push and pull between light and dark … it all worked together to make a story I could not put down. I’m not familiar with Angel Anders yet, but after this one? I really hope they keep writing more, because I’ll definitely be picking it up.

Happy reading friends,

In Death, Love Survives ARC Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
🌶🌶🌶🌶

“Etiam in morte, superest amor.”

In Death, Love Survives is a fast past, gritty, forbidden, and SPICY ride.

I was invested from the first page by Nova's tragic story. In an effort to heal what's broken, she becomes a psychologist for the state penitentiary.

When Wolfe, the leader of a local motorcycle club, is transferred to the penitentiary and assigned to Nova's treatment program, there is an instant and undeniable connection.

They fall hard and fast while navigating broken pasts, trechary, suspense, and danger. I get serious Sons of Anarchy and Criminal Minds vibes, and what a combination it is!

If you want a fast-paced, right to the spice story that weaves revenge, love, redemption, and insta love all into one, this will quench that desire.

I truly enjoyed the fast-paced read and the polarized yet magnetic connection between the FMC and MMC.

Thank you so much to @greyspromo and Angel for the opportunity to read!

I received this book as an eARC and it was definitely a mixed experience for me. The premise hooked me right away—Nova’s near-death experience and her quiet life as a prison therapist set the stage for a fascinating and dangerous connection with Wolfe, an inmate who draws her in against her better judgment. There were moments when the chemistry between the characters was intense and compelling, and I enjoyed the moral questions it raised about love, trust, and choices.
That said, the pacing felt uneven at times, and I found myself losing interest where the story slowed down or became repetitive. Some plot turns worked really well, while others felt a little too predictable or dramatic. In the end, it was one of those “grey area” reads for me—I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. I liked some aspects, disliked others, and overall it left me with mixed but memorable feelings. I would recommend it based on the premise though.

After experiencing a life-changing trauma, Nova finds a new purpose working as a therapist in a high-security prison. When Wolfe—a charming, mysterious inmate and president of a notorious motorcycle club—becomes her newest patient, she’s forced to decide between the safety of her current life or the wild unknown that comes with being with him.

This story had so much potential, and I was really drawn in by the Sons of Anarchy vibes—I totally pictured Wolfe as a Jax Teller type, which made the premise even more exciting. That said, the insta-love element just wasn’t for me. I personally enjoy more build-up and tension between characters, and the pacing here felt a bit rushed, especially when it came to the romantic development and spice.

While it didn’t quite hit the mark for me, I know readers who enjoy fast-paced, steamy MC romances might find it a better fit.
