UMMM KATELYN GIRL… I was ready for a spicy, steamy book (which I did get) but I also got FREAKING WHIPLASH from those plot twists 😦
I absolutely loved this book. I think the way I inhaled it, proves that. This book follows Cassi and Nico. They meet one night at a s3x club and later find out that Nico is Cassi’s sisters long term boyfriend. They try to fight their feelings for each other but… well you know how that goes. This book was so freaking good. I absolutely love Cassi. She is funny and witty. Nico is a MAN 🥵 I loved the banter between Cassi and Nico. And the tension between those two… oh my. 😮💨 Like I said, I was fully prepared for this book to be steamy but Katelyn hit us with MULTIPLE plot twists that had my jaw on the floor. The ending had me f*cking flabber ghasted. This book just might be my favorite from Katelyn so far. I highly recommend this book!

I was absolutely thrilled to be selected as an ARC reader of this book. Having adored the first book in the series (One Night Seduction), I couldn’t wait to discover what fate had in store for Cassi on the night of her 21st birthday, and it did not disappoint!
On the night of Cassi Fischer’s 21st birthday, instead of hitting the clubs like most, she and her two best friends plunge headfirst into the shadows of a masked sex club. It’s a single, reckless night to surrender every inhibition and let forbidden desires take over.

Every stolen touch and lingering glance is off-the-charts hot, and when they finally cross the line, it’s everything I’d been waiting for: raw, intense, and utterly addictive. I only wish there had been even more steam (I know I’m thirsty 🌶️), because with chemistry like theirs, a little extra page time would have been pure heaven.
The only aspect that didn’t quite hit the mark for me was the ending, which felt a bit rushed, like the story wrapped up just as I was craving more closure and a deeper dive into Cassi and Nico’s future. I could see what Katelyn was aiming for, and I genuinely enjoyed the elements she included, but an extra chapter or two would have made the resolution even more satisfying.
That said, I adored the story and the deliciously taboo tropes. While I’d never condone cheating in real life, I have zero qualms when it comes to my fictional drama, especially when the “other woman” is as insufferable as Carly. Honestly, can you even call it cheating when Carly is such an entitled nightmare?
I absolutely cannot wait for Naomi’s story (One Night Surrender). If Cassi’s book brought the drama, I have a feeling Naomi’s will be pure chaos, and I am so ready for it.

I do not condone cheating at all but ole girl, Carly that Nico is dating does need a reality check and this might be it. Cassi and Nico have an instant connection, it starts the moment they lock eyes. These two have a night together and go on with their day and then boom they see each other at Cassi’s home. Talk about awkward! Carly(the sister) is a piece of work. Cassi and Nico bicker like an old couple that has been together for years and years. Baby they started playing with fire and it was so good. The chemistry between these two are electric. Cassi has discovered that she kind of likes being submissive in bed and Nico is more than happy to help. 🤭 Someone needs to throw a bucket of cold water on the two because they are hot hot hot! Nico’s nickname for Cassi adorable. Remember when I said Carly was a piece of work well I’m double down on that and adding that she lowdown no good b***h and that’s being kind. When I tell you I was saying omg omg repeatedly at the last 20-30% of the book. I was kicking my feet laughing, I was starring at my kindle in shock at some moment. Let’s just say all parties that caused some issues got what they deserved. Nico’s best friend Jake, love him! I also don’t condone violence but if Cassi wanted to give Carly that smoke I would help her. Nico is like a gentle giant, he will move the moon and the stars for those he cares about but he will hurt you if necessary. Cassi is a sweetheart can be a brat and needs to learn how to bob and weave. I always pick a favorite quote but my true favorite quote I can’t share with you because I think it would be a spoiler. So just know it’s towards the end of the book and Cassi said it. Girl got some act up when needed and I’m here for it. I don’t know how I feel about the ending, it wasn’t overly happy but it was satisfying. I will tell you the last chapters are fu***d up, you will be shook. I sometimes can see certain plots lines coming( it doesn’t bother me, I like to see how it plays out) but this one had me all types of messed up and surprised. Claps and praise to you Katelyn this was a good one!

I read One Night Scandal by Katelyn Taylor, and let me just say… this book had me rolling on the floor. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever read a story where I was somehow okay with everything that happened — scandal, chaos, and all — while still needing time to sit back and process what I just experienced.
First of all, Katelyn Taylor did it again. Truly gave us a contender for book of the year. Following the story of Nico and Cassi was a wild ride, and I don’t even care if it’s just me — they are easily one of my top book couples of the year. Their story grabs you from the start and refuses to let go.
Cassi celebrating her birthday at a sex club and meeting a mysteriously handsome stranger who makes her night unforgettable? Iconic. But waking up the next day only to find that same man sitting across the table… as her sister’s boyfriend? I would’ve crashed out too. The shock, the panic, the what am I supposed to do now?! energy was unreal. I genuinely didn’t know what to feel, think, or do right along with her.
The chemistry between Nico and Cassi is absolutely insane — intense, forbidden, wrong, and undeniably addictive. Every interaction feels like a ticking time bomb, and the tension is what makes this book impossible to put down. It’s messy, scandalous, and completely unapologetic — exactly what you want from a story like this.
If you’re looking for a book that delivers drama, spice, and a forbidden romance that will have you questioning your morals while still rooting for the characters… One Night Scandal is it. One hell of a scandal for sure — and I loved every second of it. 💥📖

This was a different side of a cheating trope, that I was NOT expecting but I'm sort of all here for. Katelyn.... you dirty amazing woman! These 2 books so far are wildly imaginative, forbidden and Spicy as all hell, and I'm holding onto my panties to see what happens in Naomi's books- so much to look forward to 😉
Now- One Night Scandal- sisters on and off again boyfriend, bandage kink to literally bond over, hidden secret, age gap (oh this one is good) and he's gotta be a billionaire.
Cassi- a sweet yet not so innocent 21 year old, and her young age shows in this book and some of her worst decisions. She's a fiery red head and draws the immediate attention of Nico, and their ONS is the turning point to their lives- EEEEKKKK! It's hot, spicy and leaves you desperately wanting more! Nico is charming, possessive, broody and a bit of an asshole, but we love him.
Ariana and Naomi- the besties show face a few times, each portraying their own issues and life problems which makes things interesting.
Now, be warned- there's cheating, some good and bad decisions and things spiral hard, fast and out of control- what more can you expect from a Scandal? But it was a really great read that I couldn't put down, I got enamoured with the plot, the characters, and everything in this book even though this is the first cheating trope read I have read of this calibre.

First and foremost: Carly is a bitch and Alec is a dick. Second, I do not condone cheating of any kind and Nico and Cassie were in the wrong. But again Carly is a real piece of work and frankly, she should have taken a long long look in the mirror to see how she could improve on herself instead of pulling the crap that she did when she found out about her sister and her boyfriend. Again, I do not condone cheating of any kind.
Anyway, Nico and Cassie have that burn fast and hot romance where you feel like it’s new relationship energy before you realize that it’s actually everything you didn’t know you needed. One rules, his kingdom and the other just skates by doing anything and everything that she wants because neither have to answer to anyone except for themselves. I really enjoyed seeing a character that is a switch as opposed to a Dom or a sub as switches are also fairly common in the community. Cassie fits that role perfectly and I love how they first met.

There was no denying Nico and Cassi’s chemistry throughout the book. I absolutely loved their banter and Cassi does not let up on him one bit.
A blast from the past shows up in Cassi’s life and though there are some feelings, she can’t help to be drawn to Nico, their interests are too alike and they consume each other’s thoughts. Though their relationship is not without its ups and downs, especially with the elephant in the room Carly. But once Nico sets his eyes on Cassi there is nothing he won’t do to keep her.

Oh my god, the last 20% was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and twists, I’m still recovering now
I devoured this book in less than 24 hours, I absolutely loved Nico and Cassi, their relationship was everything I needed and more, from their first meeting to the very end it was amazing, I loved their enemies to lovers style banter and the back and forth was exactly what this book needed
I know the cheating trope isn’t everybody’s cup of tea but it was executed so well in this book, and quite frankly I don’t hate it when the other partner is a complete and utter psycho who had a taste of her own medicine(iykyk😉)

Katelyn, what in the heck did you do to me with this book!! I devoured this in one sitting and that last 20ish percent had me flying through this story! That chemistry between Nico & Cassi is so HOT and I was loving every minute of their night together at the club. But when he shows up at her family’s house the next day with her sister, both of them realize just how messy things are. While there is cheating involved, honestly I couldn’t have cared less because her sister is insane and definitely does not appreciate what she’s been given. So buckle up for a wild ride and some delicious spice!

I just want to thank Katelyn for the opportunity to be on her street team in exchange for reviews on her books. My first series by Katelyn was the Gallows Hill series and I was hooked.

The tension in this book was crazy and I loved Nico's possessiveness. Katelyn always delivers on the spice and the plot twists and this book was no different. The only things that I will say is that I was expecting more rope play than what we got given how the book started and my overall rating was a bit lower because of the cheating.

The banter between Nico and Cassi had me kicking my feet, Cassi was amazing. She was thoughtful and kind, but could sass right back at you.
When they finally gave in to their feelings *phew* it was HOT HOT HOT. Not only did they have sexual chemistry but they had chemistry as a couple.
I loved how possessive Nico got with Cassi, he was fully willing to risk everything to have her, and he showed it.
The ending threw me completely. I was not expecting that. Whilst Nico and Cassi did get their HEA (sort of), it was 100% tainted by fucking Carly.

Finished it in less then a day.. yes, I love everything that Katelyn writes, so this was another treat for me.. very interesting, taboo, hot and messy, and also very raw and emotional.. OMG when Katelyn Taylor said scandal she meant absolute scandal! If you don’t like the cheating trope well…. Katelyn makes it amazing so read it anyways! The spice was absolutely spicing but the anxiety I was feeling while reading about the forbidden was amazing. I absolutely fell in LOVE with Nico (does Katelyn ever really give us a bad MMC tho?) and Cassi was such a bada**. I loved her spunk and don’t mess with me attitude.
