Genevieve Mattevi is the author of When the Moon Rises, a spellbinding debut that blends emotional depth with page-turning suspense. A lifelong storyteller and lover of all things bookish, Genevieve writes stories that linger—twisting fantasy, romance, and thrill into something uniquely her own.
When she’s not writing, she’s probably curled up with a good book, dreaming up her next plot twist, or spending far too much time thinking about fictional characters. She believes in the power of stories to transport, transform, and connect us all.
As a friend of the author I may be slightly biased but also just genuinely this is a great read! Even if you’re not a huge fan of mysteries like this (I am not) it still had me turning pages and continuing to read!!! Even before she made the final copy it has been amazing! Genevieve great job!
Omg. there are no words to declare how AMAZING this book is. its one of those books that you have to process what you just read for over 10 minutes. i actually love the vibe of Austin. he is so sweet and relatable. i love how he helped out Luciana he is so sweet. this book left me kicking my feet and crying. the plot twists made me want to throw my shoe out the window they were so amazing. the best part of this book was that my friend wrote it so i appreciate it even more. im in love with this book and i cant get over how good it was.

It’s my own book so I’m a bit biased 😌, BUT I think it's pretty great. I worked so hard on this book, so of course I would hope that it's good. This book is my baby. Go read it -_-
This book was amazing and fast-paced, which I like. In the beginning, everything was going downhill. The mom dying. The dad gets in a car crash. Then later in the book, She meets Austin, runs away in the woods, gets kidnapped by her DAD then gets experiments done, and after all that she gets out of there and is paralyzed, then austin and her kiss one last time and then she dies. This book again was amazing. When it said her dad was the murderer I literally sat up and threw the book onto my bed. Overall, I think that she did a very good job considering this was her first book.
