About the author

Cami Checketts is a USA Today Bestselling author of over a hundred clean romance novels. Her journey began on an Idaho dairy farm daydreaming book ideas on her bike or tractor and landing herself in the hospital numerous times for head wounds. She settled down after college (retired the bike at least) to raise four crazy boys and write down all those fabulous ideas. Cami's life is busy but she thoroughly enjoys rarely living in reality.

What an incredible journey this was for Emily and Nelson.  A journey of faith in God, trust in each other and putting love first after God. 

Emily had a tremendous love for God and for Nelson. She made a vow to God to protect the children first but she was doing it under her own strength.  Her heart was focused on being selfless, which is noble, but her spiritual immaturity prevented her from trusting God's path. 

Nelson is a strong man who also has a deep faith but let's pride stand in the way.  I can't help but feel his pain though and stand behind his desire to avoid further damage to his heart. 

As God is known to do, he uses all things to the good of those who love him. The love of God is clear there in both Emily and Nelson. This journey, Though full of pain, matured them both and brought about their happy ever after. 

This was a fantastic story. It was hard to put down, so, I didn't.  Well written, superb characters and heartwarming love.

What an enticing tale of Nelson & Em! The adventure they embark on in their story is filled with intriguing moments that are so unique. The suspense, mystery, adventure and beauty that surrounds them all are what makes this book special. I couldn’t stop reading it and finished it in a few hours. Can’t wait for the next adventure that Cami comes up with.

Nelson and Emily

This is an exciting and romantic story. So much adventure, danger, friendship, and romance. There is definitely some angst and some tension, plenty of drama. I enjoyed getting to know Emily and Nelson. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Sweet Romance

Nelson is a sweetheart that got blindsided eight years ago when his girlfriend dumped him and married another man. Because he had money. Nelson became a multimillionaire, but gave up on her, even after her divorce. I was very much not impressed with Emily’s pursuit of security for children. Mainly, because there are so many ways to help children and still be in a relationship where you put your partner first (after God and Jesus Christ of course). I didn’t blame Nelson for his thoughts about her loving money. I was definitely surprised when the danger showed up! I’m glad things worked out well.

Another great story in this series. Nelson is still hurting and trying to keep his emotions under control. Lots of baggage between Nelson and Emily from their past. I loved how protective Nelson is towards Emily while doing his best to keep some distance between them. Great characters and just a little bit of suspense. I loved the ending and can’t wait for Rockwell’s story.

Nelson is another amazing book by Ms Cami Checketts. Nelson has loved only one girl in his life but she walked away from him for a guy with money. The fact she wanted the money to feed poor children did not make it any better in his eyes. Emily was that girl. Now she is divorced and his friend Brandon has set him up to go on an adventure with her. Has she heard about his wealth and decided to come after him? Will the danger they face pull them even farther apart?

Nelson and Emily's journey is one of faith, trust, and second chances and is filled with angst, betrayal, and tension. Nelson struggles with pride while Emily has to learn what's more important: money or love. This faith-filled story does include some danger, and I loved the character arc and maturity of Nelson and Emily 8 years later when they are paired together for an adventure. Can't wait for Rockwell.

Heartwarming story!

Nelson, A self made multi millionaire, never stopped loving Emily. Emily grew up in poverty and was hungry so many times. She wants to start centers for children like she was growing up. She excepts an adventure that would pay one million dollars if she completes it. Now the suspense begins.

I love how the characters from different series keep intertwining in Cami’s stories. Even though they are fictional showing the Christian faith and the love of God helps to keep me reading. Nelson and Emily found their second chance but love was always first

So far, this is my favorite book in the series. I fell in love with Nelson. I did get tired of the author reiterating how Emily would choose money over everything else. I felt like I was being beaten over the head with it. Can't wait to read the last book of the series!
