Thank you SO much to the author and Luna Literary for the beautiful #gifted book mail and all the goodies along with it!

This definitely tops charts as one of my favorite reads! There is so much depth to these characters. So many layers that get pulled back as Rosay and Graham’s tension ignites. Their chemistry and physical want and need for each other shined VERY bright right from the beginning. I absolutely loved watching their characters let their walls come down for each other.

Rosay is stubborn, feisty and fully stuck in her ways. But she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to take what she needs and say the thoughts in her head out loud. There were so many moments I found myself in tears laughing over her wittty remarks and just all over fun personality.

Graham is the perfect grump to Rosay’s sunshine. His attentiveness and paying such close attention to detail with anything that had to do with Rosay without her evening realizing it was one of my favorite things throughout the story. The way Graham was able to form such deep bonds with Rosay’s dad and the rest of her family so easily makes you really feel how their chemistry was going to play out.

This book had so many HOT moments, but they were done very tastefully and never took away from the plot. This was hands down one of my favorite reads this month and I’m needing more from Tobie!

I would highly recommend to all my book besties who love hilarious rom-com banter, fake engagement done right and the best close proximity and one bed trope!

Absolutely obsessed with this book! I'm always a sucker for a fake dating trope so this elevates it a bit with a fake engagement of two rivals-to-lovers. Add in a family winery and the MMC is pierced? PERFECT.

Rosay and Graham are both phenomenally written characters that are beautiful, funny, and flawed. I love that there is more than meets the eye on both of them. Both have some difficulties occurring in their family lives and both have been hurt in previous relationships, so they end up having more in common than they thought. I love that they also build each other up throughout the book as their relationship grows.

I literally could not put this book down and I can't recommend it enough!

Thank you to Luna Literary & the author for a chance to ARC read & review!

Thank you Luna Literary and Tobie Carter for this ARC opportunity. My favorite read so far this summer! “Her fire meets my gasoline, and I'll be damned if she hasn't blown my world to pieces.” 🔥💓 that Graham yearning for Rosalina is more than I can handle - Excel sheets by day, freak in the sheets by night and I am here for it! Forever going to think of these MCs and this book while I enjoy a glass of wine 🍷

Oh. My. Goodness. This book was so cute and so good! I loved every second of reading this one! I am a total sucker for a solid rivals to lovers, and this one did a great job of it!! I loved Rosay so much, and seeing her reclaim her sense of self and her strength through her work, and also doing what she could to rebuild her relationship with her family! And I loved being able to see her family getting to know her better and meeting her halfway on that journey! She was such a fun character, and I really adored getting to see her flourish! And Graham made it all that much better with his quiet support of her, right along with his steadiness! The way he stepped up over and over to defend Rosay and even to support her dreams was just so wonderful to see! And I loved getting to see her family, her siblings and parents felt like very real, rounded out characters! I loved how they all interacted and meshed together! Overall this was so good and I'm so glad I got to be part of its journey!! 5 stars; 3.5 chili peppers

This story is a nice, simple beach/pool book, easy to follow, you know what to expect, and you’ll get it. The writing style is easy to understand, plot is focused on the romance between Rosay and Graham, with aspects surrounding their circumstances that are repeated throughout the story, but overall don’t really feel as heavy as they should be? There isn’t a real conflict during the story, so if you like easier flows to romances this could be up your street!

Nothing about the story particularly stood out for me. It took me a while to feel the connection between them, with a few interactions just feeling awkward. I didn’t necessarily resonate with anyone or drawn in by anything.

Overall, the story is an easy read, I won’t remember it past writing this review, but I didn’t have to force myself to finish it. Thank you to Luna Literary Agency and the author for this ARC ❤️

“Wine in a Million” by Tobie Carter is the ultimate book-slump cure. A fast paced, high heat, idiots-to-lovers, fake dating romance - perfect for your summer TBR.
As tried and true as these tropes are, sometimes romance novels can get a little stale, but along comes Tobie Carter to give a fun, fresh voice.

Rosay and Graham were just incredible to read; their chemistry is pouring off the page, the banter is fresh and sharp, and their love story is one that doesn’t get old.

The vibes of this book were immaculate, the characters were three dimensional, the vineyard setting for their relationship lends the book a certain je ne sais quoi. Charm and character oozed from this book, allowing the reader to be sucked into the world. The writing was fantastic, and yet so easy to read. I absolutely flew through this book, finding it harder and harder to put down.

TW: open door scenes, parent in cancer treatment, grief of parental loss (not cancer patient), mention of cheating (not MMC or FMC), anxiety, erotic asphyxiation, anal play, squirting

Wine in a Million checked every box on my romcom wish list: the hilarity of fake dating shenanigans, red-hot chemistry, emotional layers that tug at your heart, a dose of sharp, and a witty banter that had me grinning throughout the entire story.

The story kicks off with a delightful comedy of misunderstanding—Rosay’s family mistakenly believes she’s engaged. Rather than clearing up the misunderstanding, she chooses to play along, making a bold decision to attend her sister’s vineyard wedding with a "fiancé" by her side. That’s where Graham comes in—her strikingly handsome yet perpetually grumpy boss. Despite his reluctance, he agrees to step into the role of her fake partner, lured by the promise of some valuable career connections.. You know where this is going—tension sparks and begins to crackle almost immediately.

From the very first page, Rosay and Graham had a dynamic that sizzled. Their sarcastic quips, quick-witted exchanges, and playful-but-edgy jabs were nothing short of perfection. Yet, what truly stayed with me were the tender moments that balanced it all: their conversations, the way they supported each other when it mattered, and how their walls slowly came down as they uncovered bits of each other’s hearts. It’s a love story built not just on fiery passion but also on raw vulnerability—and I was 100% swept away by it.

Rosary was a protagonist I loved. Despite her fierce personality, she carried emotional scars that gradually unveiled her more vulnerable side—it honestly made me want to hug her. Her relationship with her family felt a bit unusual, and after finishing the story, I couldn’t help but wonder why her father never made the effort to visit her in her own space and let her go. That said, I’m glad things eventually worked out between them and even with the other family members. I can’t help but wonder if we’ll get to explore more characters from this world in the future.

And then there’s Graham. Oh, Graham. He perfectly personifies the emotionally reserved cinnamon roll archetype. Tough on the outside, impossibly gooey inside. His subtle acts of care for Rosay—whether picking up on small emotional cues or hesitantly opening up his guarded heart—completely melted me. Watching him navigate his repression to become someone who can love deeply? Absolutely swoon-worthy.

I have to give a special shout-out to the setting—Tobie’s descriptions of the Hill Country wine region were so vivid, I felt like I was right there. I could almost taste the rich wine, feel the warm breeze weaving through the grapevines, and see the fairy lights twinkling overhead. The vineyard didn’t just look pretty on the page—it felt alive, adding warmth and soul to every moment.

That said, not everything was flawless for me. Towards the end, some emotional beats felt rushed, and I wish those moments had been given more room to breathe. The scenes with the proposal and Rosay’s family uncovering their deception, in particular, felt overly abrupt. These moments leaned on clichés like forced eavesdropping, which came off as more exasperating than meaningful.

But you know what? These hiccups didn’t overshadow how much I adored this book. The chemistry between Rosay and Graham was spicy. Their relationship evolved, marked by and genuine trust. There were no ridiculous insta-love clichés or annoying third-act stumbles—just a heartwarming blend of growth and connection.

Tobie’s writing style is warm, funny, and emotionally insightful in all the right ways. This was my first experience with her work, and now I’m eager to explore more of her books. I’m particularly curious to see if she’ll extend this series—especially from the father’s POV. His story stood out to me, even with its bittersweet tone. I couldn’t help but wonder why he remarried when he still speaks of his late wife with such profound, aching love.

Last but definitely not least: the mirror scenes. Because, wow, they deserve their own spotlight. Thanks to Graham, I’ve officially developed an obsession with those fiery, tension-packed moments featuring mirrors. Seriously, how did we not get a scene with Graham and Rosary in his room? Just picture the charged energy and the unspoken sparks. That would’ve been everything, and I can’t help but wish it had been written!

So, if fake dating shenanigans are your thing, or if you adore the classic grumpyxsunshine dynamic intertwined with office drama and a generous dose of spice, treat yourself. Pour a glass of wine, settle in, and get lost in this story. You might just find yourself intoxicated by love before you even realize it. Cheers!

Big thanks to Luna Literary Management and Tobie Carter for the eARC

Wine in a Million was such a fun read! This rom com comes complete with a chaotic fake engagement, simmering chemistry and so much tension! I really enjoyed how it mixed humor with real emotional moments. And of course, I found myself rooting for the couple the whole way through.

Rosay is the black sheep of her family — not just because of her pink hair and no-filter mouth, but because of years of feeling like she doesn’t quite belong. A miscommunication (slightly far-fetched but forgivable for plot purposes) convinces her family that she’s engaged, and rather than correct them, she sees it as a chance to prove she’s “got it together.” Enter: Graham. Her hot, grumpy boss who agrees to play the part of doting fiancé in exchange for a career favor.

Their chemistry? Spicy but surprisingly sweet. *small spoiler* There’s a scene where Graham helps Rosay dye her hair pink again (after she tried going blonde to fit in) that honestly made my heart ache a little.
He’s the typical grump and understandably guarded given his tragic backstory (crappy ex, sick dad, emotionally scarred childhood).

I loved the winery setting especially since it tied beautifully into Rosay’s family legacy and the book’s title. The wedding-weekend timeline made for great pacing (even if it felt like the longest weekend ever), and I appreciated the emotional layers with the seemingly complicated family dynamics, grief, anxiety, and the pressure to prove yourself.

Bonus points for:
💍 No third-act breakup!
🍷 A supportive stepfamily
💬 Banter that had me grinning
🔥 Just the right amount of spice
🎬 And a desperate need for a mirror scene epilogue in Graham’s apartment 👀

While it’s the fourth in a series, this reads perfectly as a standalone. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves fake dating, grumpy/fiesty, and a messy-but-loveable heroine trying to find her place.

TW/CW: While the all the triggers and were approached with sensitivity and the overall tone was feel-good and light hearted, the book includes themes of parental death, cancer, infidelity, and anxiety.

"She doesn't remember it, but I've never been able to forget meeting the tornado of a woman who shook my world as an executive at a start up."
"I stare at him, unsure whether he was dropped on his head as a child or if he's simply looking for a reason to annoy me."

Aww thanks so much to the author and Luna Literacy for the e arc and physical arc! This is my second read by this author, and her writing continues to capture me and hold me close! I really enjoyed this story a lot, this story is filled with funny moments and sarcastic banter between Rosay and Graham. The snarky remarks they said to one another was extremely a toe to toe match that I enjoyed reading. This story is an absolute quick, spicy, fluffy read! I highly recommend it a lot!

Rosay and Graham's chemistry was already high and off the charts from the very first page. Which I think heightened their connection as well. I like how they slowly warmed up to one another, and was able to talk to one another and be honest about their feelings. Their similarity feelings regarding getting back into the dating scene was relatable and extremely fleshed out. The depth of their characters is what made them whole, and their honesty with one another as their feelings progressed made me smile. To the overthinking if the other liked them and to the courage they both developed to tell the other how they feel. I loved every second of this!

I absolutely loved loved that the setting of the story takes place in a winery and vineyard area. The way the author used descriptive writing to detail the different wine cellars, outside areas, and more to really paint the picture of the peacefulness of a vineyard / winery was stellar and a breathe fresh of air.

Also the mirror.. Very interesting. Graham the man that you are! Looks like a cinnamon roll, will put Rosay through the mattress lol :)

Rate : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre : Contemporary Romance

Thank you so much to Luna Literary PR and the author for the ARC! I’m so grateful and I loved every second of this book!

Wine in a Million follows Rosalina ‘Rosay’ Wilmington, who ends up telling her family that she’s engaged when in reality, that’s far from the truth. Enter Graham Miller, her grumpy boss and pain in her backside, who offers to help her in exchange to network and save his career. As lines blur and emotions bloom, will they make fiction a reality?

I adored Rosay and Graham so much, their buildup and their relationship was gorgeous that I was sucked in! I could feel their love through the pages - it was that good!

One aspect I loved was how Graham’s infatuation was written, the gradual build up of Graham realising he’s falling in love was to die for! He was the literal embodiment of an ideal book boyfriend (and a bonus of being a CEO)!

I also appreciated the way the author didn’t shy away from their backstories and revealed their backstories in such a natural way that it even helped the relationship grow. I was so invested in their lives that I got a little emotional closer to the end of the book.

I even adored the side characters - mainly Winnie and Kieran - and I’m obsessed.

Tobie Carter is a new to me author and I have to say, I’m going to have to dive into the backlist because I utterly loved this book so much. There was the right amount of tension, emotion and chemistry in this book that I just needed to read more as I went on!

If you love fake engagement, boss x employee, one bed trope romances, this is for you! I cannot wait to read more by this author!

I absolutely loved this book! It has so much depth and character development that it almost feels way too real. The way the two understand and support each other without being asked to is just amazing. I love their relationship, especially the banter and the witty remarks.

The only reason the book didn’t get the whole 5 stars was cause I kind of lost the plot towards the end, like when Graham tells Rosay about his real feelings and proposes her for real, it feels a little unreal, plus I still didn’t understand how Rosay’s family learned the truth. Like, if someone asked you to leave the room because they wanted to talk, why would you stay by the door to eavesdrop?? Isn’t that like breaching someone else’s privacy? That is not what family is supposed to be like??

Also, I hated how Winnie sprung the entire double wedding thing on Rosay without consulting with her first. And that too on the said day itself? It felt very overwhelming, and I understand why our girl felt like an outsider her entire life.

But, apart from these few things, the book is absolute love. The way Graham stands up for her and picks up on every one of Rosay’s cues is so cute. I also liked how their relationship developed slowly, with plenty of tension before finally giving in to their feelings. The chemistry felt intense and authentic without being rushed. The balance of laugh-out-loud moments and emotional beats made this a satisfying read.

Wine in a Million gave me everything I love in a romance ! Laughs, tension, emotional depth, and characters that felt real. This story had me giggling one second, and clutching my chest the next. The tropes were executed perfectly (fake engagement + forced proximity lovers, you already know I was obsessed), and the buildup between the characters? 🤌🏻💋.

There’s something about Tobie Carter’s writing that brings me so much comfort her books feel like spicy Hallmark movies with real emotional stakes and characters you truly root for. The chemistry in this one was magnetic, the banter on point, and when the tension finally boils over? Whew. Totally satisfying, emotionally and romantically.

What really made this story stand out was the heart. These characters are layered, vulnerable, and incredibly easy to connect with. Watching them open up, support one another, and navigate their insecurities was beautiful. Their connection is not just romantic it’s genuine, and you feel it on every page.

Also, Texas pride supremacy: H-E-B, Whataburger, and Buc-ee’s got their moment, and I loved. As someone who lives near where this is set, I felt the vibes.

I laughed, I blushed, I got teary and I already want to reread it. If you love heartfelt romance with spice, humor, emotional growth, and a love story that feels earned, this book is everything.

At this point, anything @tobiecarter.writer writes, I’ll read. Her books are pure comfort and full of heart and I’m already counting down to whatever comes next. 💕🍷

I was blessed to be in the ARC team... I have never and I mean never read a better romance book... Let's break it down.

Rosay (FMC), a very strong woman, who has been through a lot in her life, she knows how to stand on her own two feet, speak her mind, is a little fireball and knows what she wants but needs that little push to do it because she doesn't want to let her family down after what happened in her past.

Her family is lovely, supportive, understanding and that made my heart sore to the sky. I LOVED her dad so so so much, kindest soul in the book.

Now Graham (MMC), ahhh that man stole my heart. What can I say about him? He went through hell with what his ex did, what he is doing for his dad is phenomenal and because I went through the same with my mom and made me relate in all the good ways. Usually I avoid books with parents who have cancer but this book didn't trigger me, it made me smile and laugh at the relationahio Graham had with his dad. He supports Rosay, he is charming, funny, sexy as hell with his pee-pee pierced AND tattoos, I mean this author wants to kill us for sure. The sex scenes were well written and even though it didn't know have that many scenes that I have read on other books, it was the perfect amount for me, and I like my sex scenes a lot🤣.

DO read this book, don't be afraid to dive into it and love and learn the characters. All characters are top tier even the side ones, lots of laugh, the humor was well written.

Spice: 4.3/5
Plot: 5/5

Wine in a Million by Tobie Carter delivers exactly the kind of heartfelt, spicy fake engagement romance I was hoping for. Rosay’s struggle to prove she has her life together to her family felt real, especially with the pressure to show up at her sister’s wedding with a fiancé. The setup with her grumpy but secretly soft boss Graham as the fake fiancé is classic but executed well, with a lot of humor and genuine warmth.

What stood out most was the dynamic between Rosay and Graham. Their banter is sharp and funny, but underneath you feel their vulnerabilities, with both of them dealing with complicated family histories. I liked how their relationship developed slowly, with plenty of tension before finally giving in to their feelings. The chemistry felt intense and authentic without being rushed. The balance of laugh-out-loud moments and emotional beats made this a satisfying read.

The spice level is definitely high, so if you enjoy romance with plenty of heat alongside emotional depth, this will hit the mark. Plus, I loved the absence of a typical breakup drama at the end! Just honest, healthy communication.

Overall, this book grounded me and reminded me why I love romance stories. It’s a great pick for anyone who likes fake engagements, workplace tension, and characters who are imperfect but lovable.

Thank you to the author and Luna Literary Management for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Flashing your boss over a video call? yeah sure, no problem... just go about your day. Telling your family you're actually engaged to your boss and and him willingly offer to be your fake fiance... That is the recipe for an absolutely adorable feet-kickingly sweet romance story.

Rosay is such a sweet down to earth FMC who absolutely needs her grumpy boss Graham to pull her back down and realize just how amazing she is. The chemistry and banter between these two had me absolutely squealing. I just loved how easily and naturally these two played off each other.

If you're looking for the perfect grumpy x feisty pairing, with past ex healing,  unresolved family drama with major emotional wound healing and a love story with no third act break ups and plenty of spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️, this is the book for you!

This book has something for everyone:

🍷A Fake Engagement
🍷A Grumpy boss with a heart of gold.
🍷A Feisty FMC with a semi checkered past
🍷Mutual Healing
🍷Resolved family drama
And so much more!

Favorite Highlights:

"Control. I have it in spades. Except for when it comes to this beautiful, ball-busting woman who challenges me at every turn."

“How are we going to manage four days together without killing each other?”

“Oh, you’re so dramatic. Every grump needs a sunshine.”

"There’s not a single drop of water on the earth that could satiate the thirst this man has created inside me with this revelation."

This book? Served fake dating on a silver platter and sprinkled in the kind of banter that had me grinning like a fool at 1am.

Wine in a Million had everything I crave in a romance: fake fiancé chaos, a deliciously grumpy boss (who’s basically emotional sourdough—crusty on the outside, soft on the inside), and chemistry that practically sizzled off the page. Rosay is doing her damn best to prove she’s got her life together—and what better way to do that than showing up to her sister’s wedding with a pretend ring and an annoyingly attractive boss in tow? Iconic, honestly.

Let’s talk banter. Because Tobie absolutely nailed it. Rosay and Graham’s verbal sparring was sharp, funny, and laced with this simmering tension that had me kicking my feet. But what really got me? The quiet moments. The layered vulnerability. Two characters with messy family ties just trying to figure out how to show up for each other without losing themselves in the process. The slow burn is *chef’s kiss*—no insta-love nonsense here, just tension, growth, and a whole lot of heat.

And best of all? No dramatic third-act breakup. Just two adults communicating like actual humans. Wild, right? 🙃

If you're into fake dating, office shenanigans, emotional softies in disguise, and spice that doesn’t play, you’re gonna want to pour yourself a big glass of this book. 🍷

Massive thanks to Tobie Carter and the legends at Luna Literary Management for this steamy, heart-squeezing ARC. I adored every minute

This was such a cute and sizzling romcom that's great for summer!

When Rosay needs to bring her non-existent fiancé to her sister's wedding, her boss, Grumpy Graham, steps in. From their first interaction together, Rosay and Graham have chemistry - the banter, the sarcasm. It was just so well done. I appreciate good banter because the more I read, the clearer it becomes just how difficult it is to translate good banter onto the written page - often it falls flat. Not here! Banter, chemistry, and what turns out to be a genuinely sweet (and scorching) relationship with Graham. I'm sold.

It isn't all fun and games though. There is a complicated family dynamic with Rosay's father as well as Rosay feels like the odd one out in her family. That dynamic is what kicks this whole book off with the miscommunication about a non-existent fiancé.

I didn't realize this was 4th book in a series of standalones (The Wordplay Series), which is great because that means they don't have to be read in order and you're not missing out in this book by not having read the others. That being said, I enjoyed Wine in a Million so much that I want to read the rest of the books in the series and see what else Tobie Carter has written!

Loved this book and the characters. This was a fun and easy book read. Tobie is new to me, so I haven't read her previous books but I am definitely interested now.
Enemies To Lovers ☑️ Workplace Romance ☑️ Fake Relationship ☑️ Opposites Attract ☑️ Hilarious Banter ☑️ He is pierced ☑️Lots of spice ☑️
I don't think I need to say anymore haha.
Graham had worked hard for his success but thanks to his ex he is fighting to get that status back. He is a bit grumpy at the start, which is understandable and he loves to rile up Rosay.
Rosaline (Rosay) comes across as tough, guarded, spitfire and only mean when it comes to her boss Graham. But she has a big heart and really cares for everyone with so much love. Her past is just as difficult and complicated as Grahams.
Misunderstanding has led her family to believe she is engaged to a Graham. Now they're all looking forward to meet him at her sisters wedding.
Graham needs something and this fake fiancé deal will benefit him greatly.
They may have bickered in the start but the way the peel each others layers and see the real them, was work of magic. I truly felt all their emotions and compassion.
Well let's just say that invisible line got burnt by their chemistry. Rosa's family banyer was great. Loved all the banter and love shown between them all, including Graham.
A lot of emotional topics and they both supported each other through it all. They were meant to be together from the start.

Loved it!

I absolutely loved Rosay and Graham! Rosay works as a VP under Graham and are constantly bickering and fighting over small things like when Rosay ruined his Xerox machine!

Rosay has been through some though times since she as a teenager, after her mom passed away she got caught up with the wrong crowd and made a few mistakes. So appearing to be perfect with her family is a big thing for her. When Winnie, Rosay sister calls her to tell her she’s engaged, she mistakenly understands that Rosay is engaged to and to Graham. During a moment of weekend Rosay asks Graham to be her fake finance. As soon as they get away from the office, sparks begin to fly between them, both of them start to realize that they are there for each other and support each other through small actions and gestures.

When Winnie suggests they do a double wedding Graham is all for it and finally confesses his love for Rosay. Unfortunately Graham receives a phone call that his dad is in the hospital and has to run to see him, but he ultimately comes back and proposed to Rosay with her mom’s ring!

I just loved them together and lived how Tobie incorporated so much Texas culture in her book! I love HEB too!! I hope Preston and Avery get a book next!

I don’t know what exactly Tobie Carter put into this book, but I need more of it immediately!! This book was the perfect escape that I had been needing. I loved Rosay and her pink hair (cheers to being pink hair girlies!) and I loved watching Graham unravel the longer he was around Rosay outside of work. As Rosay proclaims- they are the perfect grumpy-sunshine duo!

I looooove a fake engagement and this was so good. All the casual intimacy adding up to the moment they both caved was amazing. And as someone who lived in San Antonio for four years- the casual references to life there really heightened the setting as a character- HEB supremacy is a real thing!

I’ve been feeling out of it the last few days, but this book just grounded me and reminded me of all the good things I love in romance. Rosay and Graham were hilarious and warm, and I enjoyed every moment in this story. I need more of Tobie’s books ASAP!

Thank you to the author and Luna Literary Management for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Wow! This was my first time reading Tobie Carter, and she did not disappoint.

Rosalina and Graham were just so cute! They made enemies to lovers into a romcom for the ages.
Their banter was hilarious, and the intensity of their connection was too hot to handle.

I knew it was coming, but the slow burn of having these two semi-rivals, was just such a tease.

I had so much fun reading about Rosay (Rosalina), learning about the hurdles she made after her mom passed and her dad remarried.

Graham is also no stranger to childhood hurt and hurdles, as his mom up and abandoned him and his father at a young age.

While fake engaged to the CEO or the VP of the company you work at wasn’t on either of their bingo cards, realizing their banter and bickering was just lust hidden behind rivalry, their weekend get away for Rosalina’s sisters wedding has everything turning upside down and hidden feelings coming out.

Thank you so much to Tobie Carter and Luna Literary Management for the opportunity to read Wine in a Million in advance of its release. This review is my true and honest opinion of the book.

📕BOOK REVIEW📕

Happy release day to the author 💕

This is my first book by the author, and what a lovely treat this was!

Graham and Rosay are work colleagues who quite frankly, despise each other. They enjoy winding each other up. However, Graham is harbouring a crush and he’s more than to oblige being her fake fiancé after her family seen to think she’s engaged to a man named Graham.

I devoured this book. I literally couldn’t put it down. I loved every single page. It was really funny but also quite emotional. Graham and Rosay have their own worries and reasons to be better people, and together, they just became this beautiful couple, who share more in common with each other than they originally thought.

Their chemistry was outstanding. I gobbled it all up like the little desperate woman I am 🤣
Graham and his delicious mouth was just hot as heck. Rosay was incredibly beautiful and smart, and I adored her. I also loved meeting her family, and Graham’s dad at the end made me LOL.

I would love to read some more of the author’s books as I really found myself enjoying her writing style, and her descriptions of the setting was lovely.

This book pulled me out of a mini-slump. It was excellent. Rosay and Graham work together, her as a VP, and him CEO. After some miscommunication, Rosay needs a fiancée for her sister's wedding, and Graham needs to Network. The perfect recipe for a fake engagement. Naturally, these two have the workplace tension and banter down perfectly, but oooo that banter and chemistry are so good! Getting a glimpse into both their heads thanks to dual POV we know they're inevitable.
Three of my favorite micro-tropes happen in this book. 1. Question game to get to know one another. 2. Accidental peeks 👀 3. He washes her hair..... even goes as far as dying it.
Overall a quick, spicy read. The spice was HOT. There was a few moments in this book that in my opinion were some of the best scenes I have read for said deeds occurring. Where some authors glance over the details and things just happen, Tobie conveys the sensations and build-up. The descriptors described everything perfectly, and imo insinuated the author either did her research or experienced them first hand 🤭
I'll definitely be checking out more of Tobie's work.

4.5 ⭐️ Such a heartwarming read that will have you giggle, blush, and let a few tears slip too. Watch feelings blossom between a CEO and one of his top VPs. Full of snarky banter, and heated stares that leads to an imaginary line being demolished when they decide to fake an engagement for their own benefits.

Graham is giving top tier book boyfriend energy. He’s caring, attentive, protective, he can cook! And let’s also mention that he knows how to step it up with the hand necklaces and mirrors. Although he may be a grump, that grump can be a softy, especially for his Pinky. *melts*

Rosay gives the perfect amount of boss lady with a heart of gold. Feisty and confident with her iconic pink hair. With a bumpy past, she doesn’t let that hold her back from owning her place as a financial VP and supporting kids with math tutoring. I wish I had her as a tutor back when I was in school.

These two may think their oil and water but let’s just say, they’re the perfect blend together.

Read if you enjoy:

🩷 fake engagement
🍷 boss / employee
🩷 one bed
🍷 grumpy X feisty sunshine
🩷 no 3rd act breakup

Rosey feels like an outsider in her family. Despite her success at her current job, she’s unfulfilled and constantly trying to make up for past mistakes. When her sister gets married, she impulsively announces her engagement to a guy named Graham. To make matters worse, she’s constantly at odds with her new boss—you guessed it, his name is Graham. Graham has his own problems. He was brought in to help turn the company around, but he’s under increasing pressure from the board to close new deals. When Graham discovers that Rosey has to return home for a family wedding attended by several potential clients, he offers to go as her fake fiancé.

This story was so much more than you expect. It’s way more than just a typical fake fiancé tale. Rosey is dealing with serious issues that shape her into an adult, while Graham is under immense pressure. Despite their attraction, they don’t fully connect until they spend a weekend together. The story starts off strong and keeps you hooked from beginning to end. The premise is intriguing, but the characters are so relatable that you can’t put it down. Definitely a must-read and a great addition to your TBR list!

From the moment Tobie announced that this would be a fake engagement, I was sold and needed this book in my hands immediately. This is the third book I've read by Tobie Carter and I continue to enjoy her writing style and the stories she has written. Wine in a Million follows Rosay, black sheep of the family, and Graham, grump CEO and Rosay's boss. The two of them have very misconstrued opinions of the others for no other reason than miscommunication. I loved the banter between the two of them and especially how easily Rosay is able to get under his skin. I loved Rosay and her resilience and continuing to put her best foot forward when she could have easily gone a different path. Graham was so attentive and knows every little detail about Rosay despite putting on a front that he dislikes her for the sake of his job and maintaining his composure. Overall I would recommend this for anyone wanting a book with a fake engagement, simp of a man, and some forced proximity in a family wine vineyard. Thank you to the author and Luna Literary for the gifted eARC and physical ARC. All opinions are my own.

This book gave me everything I want in a workplace/enemies-to-lovers romance—with a generous pour of fake dating, sharp banter, and the kind of emotional payoff that leaves you smiling long after the final chapter.

Rosay and Graham work at the same finance firm—she’s a VP, he’s the CEO—and they are not friends. When Rosay needs a fake fiancé for her sister’s wedding, Graham volunteers, not out of kindness, but to do some strategic networking. What neither of them expects is how real it starts to feel.

Graham is peak book boyfriend energy—attentive, emotionally intelligent, and so supportive of Rosay. He sees her for who she truly is and helps her reconnect with that version of herself, outside the expectations of family and career. And Rosay? A strong, witty, relatable woman navigating the complicated terrain of love and self-worth.

This is a heartwarming story about vulnerability, authenticity, and falling for someone who meets you exactly where you are. If you love fake dating, mutual growth, and characters who actually communicate? Check this out!
