Thumbs up! One of the best book I have been reading this year! It will not let you sleep :)
Everything is here: suspense, mystery, investigation... the story is easy to read and very emotional (sensitive readers may skip some lines as some murder scene are a little bit too detailed).
I could totally detached myself from what I know about Jack the Ripper and get charmed and amazingly surprised by the absurd end! Great end! and after all why not... imagination should never stop!

Disappointing Effort

Of the numerous books I've read about the Ripper, this is the least plausible of them all. Then, of course, there's the inept rendering of Holmes and Watson!

A masterpiece of suspense and mystery, “Jack The Ripper: Newly Discovered Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” by Holy Ghost Writer is a new take on an old story line as Sherlock Holmes tries to hunt down one of the world’s most dangerous serial killers, Jack the Ripper. Holmes’ unique point of view is ingeniously imaginative, giving us a glimpse of his brilliant mind as he tries to unmask the murderer before he’s assumed to be the man behind the crimes once the killer starts framing him. Using both historical facts and fiction, the novel is full of unexpected turns that will thrill readers.

We witness Jack the Ripper’s first victim, a prostitute who has a young daughter, as if we were right beside them, which is to say that the author creates characters with deft strokes and precision, even when they are minor figures. The narrator shows us her dreams in a harsh economic downturn in London in the late 1800s. We are allowed to see her daughter’s wish to leave their seedy neighborhood before the murder so that readers can sympathize and shriek with horror as Jack the Ripper stabs the woman more times than needed, leaving her in a back alley in a pull of blood. This woman is a random person whom Jack the Ripper targets, but she has a life--and is brought to life--by the author in just a few pithy pages.

A cat and mouse mystery, we follow Sherlock Holmes, along with Doctor Watson, as they try to find the killer while the killer himself tries to frame Holmes with each murder. The Ripper teases Holmes to go to the seedy underworld of London with him, making Holmes feel unsafe even in his own home. Yet Holmes nevertheless keeps on trying to nab the serial killer.

While Jack the Ripper and Sherlock Holmes have been characterized many times before, ”Jack The Ripper: Newly Discovered Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” still draws us in as the author gives us fresh glimpses into the lives of the people who struggle to survive in a depressed, stark world before they become victims.

This is hysterical fiction, fiction that thrills and disturbs us as the Holy Ghost Writer describes the gory killings with elaborate detail. As such, this book is not for everyone, and yet it’s firmly set in place as a classic suspense novel as it offers an inexorable ending full of all the twists that readers expect from the best mystery stories.

Detective Extraordinaire at play

It has been quite a satisfactory read with all the riveting thrills this book has to offer. With the suspense right in place and Holmes greedily lapping on to this case like any other before that, this can be a compelling read especially for one who doesn't know much about the heinous ‘Jack the ripper’.
The writer has offered us a fair share of the malevolent details in the treatment of the crimes with his own signature twist to it. With a bevy of suspects at hand, Holmes HAS to hit right on the nail, for Whitechapel is undeniably in such a ghastly, bloody mess. Even a sneeze from the ‘ladies who tend to the night for a living’ can prove fatal if they aren't vigilant enough, for the murders are literally grotesque!
Did someone catch the look of doom across Holmes’s face while he retrieved a cigar cutter from the body of one of the victims? Why did the murderer seek the prostitutes by large? Was it vengeance for a relationship gone horribly wrong or just plain rankling of an unwanted, unloved lonely soul? In order to get your answers to these questions and more, you simply have pick this one.
To read this fictionalized (although the author has not attempted to thwart the facts) account of ‘Jack the ripper’ is deliciously immerse in the grueling acts of a twisted passionate mind at play. With elaborate details on the proceedings of his devilish acts, not to mention the Detective Supremo hot on the trail, one simply cannot resist, particularly if this is your cup of tea. And if you aren't familiar with Jack the ripper and if you devour the mystery genre then you can take my word on this one. Perfectly wretched, this one is!

This is absolutely the Ghostwriter's best-written historical fiction novels. If you were aloof to the historic mysteries of Jack the Ripper, you would believe in an instant that it was indeed a novel written for Sherlock Holmes instead. The story of Sherlock is seamlessly interwoven, and Ghostwriter's on-going tie-ins to the Order of Monte Cristo and other secret societies are cleverly brought up. As if Jack the Ripper wasn’t thrilling enough, the added storyline from his/her imagination takes it a step further. A truly brilliant murder mystery, perfectly suspenseful. You’re on the edge the entire story, wondering how Sherlock will dodge the threat and solve the case, as he always does. An excellent, exciting weekend read!

It will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper in one book, what a great concept! The author took two of the worlds most know people and turned them into one great book. It's full of suspenseful mystery as you read about people being murdered and Sherlock Holmes piecing together the clues that are left behind for him. I love how I couldn't predict the outcome which makes for a more exciting time of reading! This was the first book I've read from this author and I can't wait to read more. Definitely worth the time of getting lost in this book!

A Thrilling murder mystery unravelled by the Master Detective

“Jack The Ripper” by Holy Ghost Writer is exquisite in more than one way. First of all, it is perfect murder mystery with all the ingredients of a pot-boiler Hollywood film (in fact this story can turn-out to be a blockbuster – any takers?). Secondly, The Holy Ghost writer has taken up the supreme challenge of bringing to life an icon in the genre of Mystery Novels- Sherlock Holmes. This is a no mean task, considering the fact that we are used to reading Sherlock Holmes mysteries from the mighty pen of legend Arthur Conan Doyle. I read this novel with oodles of suspense and a tinge of apprehension, as well. But after gobbling up the last page, I can now confidently say that Holy Ghost Writer has achieved stupendous success in resurrecting the master detective Sherlock Holmes. Hats off to my favourite author!

This is a fast paced murder mystery with one event following another in quick succession. Even before, Holmes can gauge the motive behind the murder of Mary Ann Nicholas, another brutal murder of Annie chap man stares large on his face. What more, the murder sends an unveiled threat to the detective himself making him feel unsafe in his own. This unsettles the great detective, but as is characteristic of him, he battles his way to nab the serial killer. The narration of this novel is smooth and descriptive. There are scenes where the author takes pains to minutely describe the gory butchering performed by the murder on his victims. It gives a feeling of accompanying Sherlock Holmes. The highpoint of the plot is that suspense is not diluted even in a single scene.
“Jack the Ripper” by Holy ghost Writer is a sumptuous treat to the murder mystery novel enthusiasts.

I have been a fan of Holy Ghost Writer for quite awhile now, and have read numerous books and stories published by this mystery author. I have found each to be enjoyable, always a quick, entertaining read that ended far sooner than I liked. In this book, I decided to do something I have never done before. I chose to read the reviews others had written BEFORE I read the book, to see what others thought. I was shocked to see a handful of negative, critical reviews. It made me want to read the story myself, to see if this story was really what they made it out to be. Luckily, as I began reading I found myself transported in to the setting, captivated by the characters, and drawn in to the plot by the stylized writing of HGW. While the author may not write in the advanced, professional style of some of the classical writers of old, the stories penned and published are still good, they still entertain, and they are still intriguing and full of suspense, plot twists, and surprises. I was pleased with the storyline, with all I read, and I would definitely recommend the book to others who are interested in the genre, Jack the Ripper, and/or Sherlock Holmes. I don’t believe it would disappoint. It is indeed different, but not in a disappointing or negative way. It is a fun, entertaining, keep you on the edge of your seat read you won’t want to put down.

Catch Me If You Can

Holy Ghost Writer had made a marking imprint with his work "Jack The Ripper", he maintained the suspense till the end. The story of the book is based on crimes committed by Jack The Ripper, the description of each murder brings the picture before your eyes. When Jack "challenges" Sherlock Holmes with the phrase "Catch Me If You Can", brings in the brilliance of the story, thanks to HGW who made these events within the story, a memorable one. The way the narration goes in with the investigation by Holmes, was written without any boring element and keeps the reader glued to the book to see if ever Jack the Ripper would be caught. Dr. Swanson, who also got an important character in the book was nicely depicted.

The book has lot of twists, listing out the suspects and excluding members who cannot be Jack, the Ripper was interesting. The final plot to nab Jack, The Ripper was the excellent piece of work. Whether Jack, the Ripper would be caught or Sherlock Holmes had to meet the defeat, marks the rest of the final climax, but I felt that last climax was a real surprise and didn't expect, I felt that was the real success for this book.

Overall, I would say, it is a fast page turner with more suspense elements and interesting story line.

I am one of these people who relishes in reading a book with such intense mystery. I am also one of those people that is fascinated with Jack the Ripper. I find myself watching episodes of real crime and becoming so engrossed in these old school killers. Why? How? What went through their minds.

So when I was told of this book I immediately purchased it. What more do you want from a novel with characters as Sherlock Holmes, a character and a mystery in his own right and a story of Jack the Ripper. I was hooked from the very first page.

The book is a cat and mouse tail of a detective trying to find the killer. But in this twisted and somewhat haunting story there is so much more to it than you first think. Sherlock, through dark streets surrounded by hollow and dysfunctional characters gets caught up in the reality of a true monster.

The holy ghost writer captures just enough terror and suspense to give this book the perfect ingredients.

This book is not for just anyone, it is for those people who are intrigued by the mystery of a ghost. Sherlock's character is eccentric as ever but his fear into the unknown is real. As for the Ripper himself, well he will always be the greatest mystery of all.

A Chilling Thriller

The book "Jack the Ripper" is packed with thrilling suspense and a monstrous serial killer.

Jack the Ripper, the serial killer, claims his first victim, Mary Ann Nichols. The gruesome murder got the attention of the brilliant detective Sherlock Holmes. However, there were other murders that took place in London around the same time. But Holmes was dead sure that Mary's murder was not linked to the others that had occurred.

His belief came true when a widow named Annie Chapman was brutally murdered in the same way. Holmes knew in his heart that both women were killed by the same person. He decides to reveal the identity of the cold-blooded murderer.

Dr. Watson, Sherlock Holmes's best friend, helps him in his mission. He works doggedly to verify stories told by witnesses.

The story took a strange turn when evidence links Sherlock Holmes to the murders. But it was not easy to defeat Holmes. He leaves no stone unturned to uncover the real identity of the serial killer.

Holy Ghost Writer creates suspense throughout the story making it more exciting. The book keeps the readers glued on to the story till the end.

Jack the ripper is an extremely interesting murder mystery! This book will sure to remain in the reader’s mind, of those interested in reading crime novels, as a master piece.

The main characters were not new to anyone, who is familiar with Sherlock Holmes' mysteries. But, it's still appreciated that the author has maintained the same feel towards the characters in his novel. While reading a book I always think of possible climax but with this book I was completely wrong as I didn’t expect such a climax. Hat’s off to the author for bringing out an appealing and fulfilled climax.

The writing style is good and the narration is excellent. The scenes are very clear and detailed. We get a feel of traveling with the characters.

The suspense and the thrill were kept to the brink every time when Jack committed the murder. The plot laid down by Sherlock Holmes to nab Jack was the real highlight of the story, the murder scenes at times was disturbing, and I recommend viewer discretion. Yet it all part of class of writing style of Holy ghost writer.

I am sure this book will take a place in everybody’s library for long time. Expecting more from HGW

To Catch The Culprit

The story "Jack the Ripper" by Holy Ghost writer has an interesting plot,it is one of the best murder mystery. The main character Sherlock Holmes is a known personality for many and the author had nicely depicted him in the best possible way. The murder event in the story is horrifying to some extent and yet enticing. Two other characters that remains in my mind is of Dr. Watson and Julie. Of course, Jack the murderer, cannot be left out since the entire story circles around him. It is more like watching a game, when we read this novel, the game between Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper.

The story is fast moved and has many twists. Especially the chapter 12, Plan in Review and Chapter 13, Gripped in Fear, are the most interesting as the story takes a different turn in these chapters. I felt the description of suspect, in couple of chapters, lags the pace of the story slightly, but it does not stretch the storyline. The final chapter is unexpected, hats off to the author. I look forward to read the author's other books. It is a real treat for crime book readers.

I consider Jack The Ripper as one of the best historical fiction novel's I ever read. It is a must read! A real masterpiece of mystery and full of suspense. The story line is about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson trying to solve a crime mystery and wanted to catch the main culprit, Jack, who is responsible for all killings. But as the story proceeds, it becomes more complex and find it difficult to nab Jack. The most interesting aspect is the murder scenes, Jack kills not for any gain but just for killing. He has a passion to murder and when innocent lives taken out forcibly, he feels the thrill. And when Jack pose a challenge to detective Holmes, the story takes a different turn. The author had maintained the suspense until the end of the story.

Though the main story deals with SH and Jack, other characters are equally given importance. That makes the readers feel nice while reading the book. There is no heroism but all about intelligence. The investigation part is well written and appealing, climax is unprecedented. Overall, I would say Jack The Ripper, is a non-stop thriller

Thanks,

Kathy

I had watched few Sherlock Holmes movies but the experience I received after reading the book “Jack The Ripper” is better than the movies. The book has all elements to make one glued to the story until it gets over. It has a series of crimes, committed by Jack the Ripper, for just for fun. The narration of the murders was so elaborate and it may not be suitable to all readers, especially the younger ones. The scenes in the story are so perfect and natural that it comes before our eyes. One after other, the crime number increases, and Jack pose a big challenge for the police department. Sherlock Holmes, along with Dr. Watson is involved with solving the case and unraveling the mystery.

The investigation by Sherlock Holmes, along with Dr. Watson and zeroing out the culprit is intelligently written. On the other hand, Jack, giving chances to Sherlock by trying to fix him in each murder gets applause. Finally, whether Jack gets caught, will Sherlock Holmes able to catch Jack forms the rest of the story. Nobody could think of the climax given in the story, it needs a special appreciation. I love reading HGW books and look forward to read his other works.

Jack the Ripper, the coldest case in history!

What happens when you pit the worst serial killer in history against the world’s best detective, Sherlock Holmes? You get a truly fantastic mystery novel, Jack the Ripper ~ Newly Discovered Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Sherlock Holmes with the assistance of Dr. Watson heads back to Scotland Yard to help in the investigation of the murders, after reading of the first murder in the newspaper. As the death toll rises so does the pressure to solve the crimes and put an end to the terror gripping London.

From a massive list of suspects, Sherlock Holmes uses various investigative techniques, his sharp mind and… well you really need to read it to the last page to find out if he solves the crime or if Jack the Ripper escapes. Mystery lovers, those interested in the greatest unsolved serial killer in history ~ Jack the Ripper and anyone that enjoys Sherlock Holmes will find this a good story with a new twist to Jack the Ripper.

One of the best of the Ghost writer’s novels! Well written, thrilling, intriguing. I definitely recommend reading to anyone who likes historical fiction, murder mystery, and good ole Sherlock Holmes.

The story immediately draws you in with Mary, a woman with youthful dreams lost in the harsh world of London in the late 1800’s. You get to see a glimpse of her life and horror as she becomes the first victim of Jack the Ripper.

The author leads you through the victims, their lives and untimely endings, and the brilliant mind of Sherlock Holmes with his dear friend Watson as they unravel the mystery of who the serial killer stalking their town is.

The ending has an unexpected twist Suspenseful from start to finish!

"Yet another thriller of Sherlock Holmes. The story starts with explaining a little girl's lonely life and the profession she chose for her own living. She gets killed for no reasons. Thus starts the investigation of the great Sherlock Holmes. The killer starts his game of serial killing. The attitude of the killer is explained through his brutality shown in killing.   Descriptions about each murder were breath-taking. The suspense thus doesn't stop here. There is a trap laid for Sherlock by the killer, raising lots of question on why he is targetted. The climax of the story is really an unexpected ending with sudden twists. On the whole, Jack The Ripper is a good time passer."
