A grumpy rugby star and his worst enemy bound by a contract. And enough tension to set fire to every pitch in Scotland.
Brodie MacRae’s career is hanging by a thread. Once the golden boy of Scottish rugby, he’s become a walking PR disaster after a gambling scandal sent his reputation into freefall.
Now his future depends on the woman he blames for torching it: Charlotte Harrington.
Charlie is done playing nice. She left her father’s sports empire, dumped her cheating fiancé, and started her own little agency. She never expected to inherit Brodie MacRae’s contract – or the mess that came with him. But if she can’t turn the most volatile player in Scottish rugby into a headline the sponsors can stomach and the fans adore, she’ll lose everything she’s trying to build.
He’s angry, arrogant, and infuriatingly fit. She’s bossy, brilliant, and determined not to sleep with him. And neither of them is willing to lose...
The more time they’re forced to spend together, the harder it gets to tell if they hate each other – or if it’s just easier to fight than admit they’re falling…
For fans of sports romance with off-the-charts chemistry, devastating banter, and grumpy x fiery tension that hurts in the best way.
Beatrice Bradshaw crafts spicy contemporary romances set across Scotland – whisking readers away to glens and windswept coastlines without the need for a plane ticket!
Mr.Brodie MacRae is in some trouble. He should be known for his rugby accomplishments, but currently- he's known for a gambling scandal. He's grumpy and frustrated and well- extremely attractive.
Charlie, the professional PR brought in to fix his dilemma. This isn't their first encounter though. Charlie was engaged to Brodie's arch nemesis... and so the tension begins. Prepare for snarky banter and hot scots.
In this, the ancillary characters shine especially- I want to be friends with them all in real life please!
This is SO good, and perfect for fans of: -enemies to lovers - forced proximity - only one bed - work romance - he falls first
Everything by Beatrice Bradshaw is a hit in my opinion, so be sure to check out her Escape to Scotland series, you'll thank me later.
The tension, the angst, the chemistry in this rugby romance is next level in Tackled By Trouble. Beatrice is such a descriptive writer who takes you on a magical journey featuring Brodie and Charlie. Brodie a rugby player who is getting a second chance with his career and Charlie is his new PR specialist enlisted to revamp his career. These two are so perfect for each other and the way Brodie was with Charlie’s sister was a joy to read. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I received a complementary copy from the author.
I didn’t intend to, but I read two books with the grumpiest football/rugby playing grumps within the same week and I ATE THEM UP. This is my new sub-genre. Give me all your grumpy football/rugby MMCs.
Brodie McRae’s career is in a downward spiral after some very poor decisions and an impossible-to-kill rumor about him betting on rugby. He’s been traded to a new team and he’s just found out his new sports agent is his arch-nemesis’s ex-fiancée, Charlotte Harrington.
Things are looking rough.
But Charlie doesn’t take no for an answer. Despite his current predicament, he’s her highest-profile client and she knows how to fix his image. If he’d only follow her instructions.
Y’all. The genuine hatred and the forced proximity. The way they are magnetized to each other. Ahhh. It’s delicious.
This is a slow burn of a romance until it isn’t. And it’s not just spicy times. These people expose their raw and battered hearts to each other especially Charlie. Charlie whose love for her sister is the most touching thing to witness. And Brodie who gets it immediately. The vibes on this one are pristine.
I was given an eARC of this book by the author @beatricebradshawauthor and I cannot wait until she writes the rest of this new series. These guys (the Scottish Rugby Rebels) are golden!
After a humiliating experience catching her boyfriend (and her father’s client) cheating with a television presenter, Charlie founds her own sports management company, and her biggest client is a bad boy rugby player who was maligned by her ex.
Professional rugby player Brodie has definitely lost money playing poker, but he never wagered on the sport he plays. However, his former teammate - and his current crisis manager’s ex boyfriend - certainly portrayed him as such. Part of his image rehab begins with a charm offensive orchestrated by the frustrating yet nearly irresistible Charlie. As the pair spend time together doing damage control, sparks and feelings fly.
Will these stubborn, star crossed lovers find a way to trust each other with their respective hearts?
This was a very st3amy and fun book, filled with moments of comeuppance for bad actors, a super cute and spunky little sister, and meddling teammates. Beatrice Bradshaw is a gifted writer, evoking sympathy, humor, and heat in a love story set in the world of Scottish professional sports.
I was generously furnished an advance reader copy from the author, and I’m pleased to share my honest review.
I am so thankful to have connected with Beatrice Bradshaw, and given the opportunity to read and fully enjoy her latest novel Tackled by Trouble.
I love a good enemies to lovers romance, add in a brooding, stubborn 6ft plus rugby player and a feisty FMC that holds her ground you have a delicious, heartfelt romance that I couldn’t put down. Well actually, you had me with stubborn, brooding 6ft plus Scotsman 🤭
I loved this one and can’t wait to read more from this author.
“Tackled by Trouble” is the first book in the “Scottish Rugby Rebels Seres.” For fans of sports romance with off-the-charts chemistry, devastating banter, and grumpy x fiery tension that hurts in the best way, this book is for you! Brodie McRae’s career is spiralling out of control and to top it off, he is traded to a new team. When he thinks everything cannot get any worse, he finds out that his new sports agent is his arch-nemesis’s ex-fiancée, Charlotte Harrington. He blames Charlotte and her ex-fiancé, Callum Fraser, for the lies that have been spread about himself and his supposed activities.
Until seven months ago, twenty six year old Brodie MacRae, Glasgow’s golden boy and star fly-half with the Knights, life has turned upside down. Now he is in Edinburgh, standing in the front of Elite Edge Sports Offices to meet his new agent. “Now I’m trudging through puddles to meet whatever suit inherited my contract when they bought out Henderson Sports Management because apparently, I’m a commodity.”
Sitting behind the desk is no other than Charlotte Harrington herself. Needless to say, he is less than impressed, and she knows how to wind him up! “One perfectly arched brow lifts. ‘Always the charmer.’ She leans back, fingers lacing together. ‘Please, be a good boy and sit.’ Her voice is baiting me. She’s expecting me to snap, waiting to sink her teeth in when I do.”
In reality, they both need each other. Brodie needs Charlotte, aka Charlie, to resurrect his image and his career. Charlotte needs Brodie to launch her new company, away from her ex and her father. Together, they need to make this work! Let “Operation Charm Offensive” begin! “Community outreach. Carefully managed interviews. Promo tour. Social media overhaul. Sponsorship meetings with brands that align with a ‘redemption narrative.”
The more time they spend together, the more they are attracted to each other. This book is everything you expect from a alpha male and sport’s romance! I’m very happily hooked - I did not want it to end! Once I started reading, I could not put this book down! At times you will laugh, you will cry, get angry and frustrated - most of all, you will love the twists! This book will charm “the pants off you” and leave you going back for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story.
Once again Beatrice does not disappoint! This is a lovely book that will keep you hooked! It has fun, laughs, intrigue, twists that you do not expect, and physical attraction. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story, with all the ups, the downs, the friendship, the heartaches and most of all, what love can overcome 💗 From page to page, chapter to chapter, from cover to cover - you will enjoy this beautiful story! This book will not disappoint! Highly recommended 😊
AAAAHHHHHHH! OMG, I did NOT expect to enjoy this so much the way I do. Seriously, I was screaming and twirling and reading it in one go.🫶
Would've been 5 stars had I not been so uncomfortable by the spice😭. But that's a me-issue, and I've not read a lot of 🌶 before and also because I'm inexperienced and have no idea how this works😔🤟 #I'mjustagirl
I also deducted 0.25 for the writing, which was a but too simplistic and plain. But it did read fast.
Let me start by saying that as a rugby player myself, the rugby aspects were written absolutely perfectly 👌. Like props to the author💕🏉 I will definitely be using some sentences because they were golden! Genius!
"The sight of her hits like a blindside tackle."
"The weight of his words digging in like studs to my ribs."
"My head throbs, as if I just took a boot to the skull."
"The story drags like a muddy scrum."
"The thought hits me like a tackle to the chest."
Also, the storyline and the characters? Loved every little thing about it. Brodie is just that guy, and like Charlie, I'm head over heels for him. Man had me swooning and giggling💕. And Charlie is just a baddass queen, I loved her sooo much! She was so strong and funny. She stood her ground, and I admired her. Loved their chemistry and loved them together.❤️
The duo-pov was so fun, and I liked reading about both their thoughts. That made everything just better.
This is one of my comfort reads right now. I'll be reading the next books soon.
Tackled by Trouble by Beatrice Bradshaw is Book 1 of the Scottish Rugby Rebel Series. I absolutely loved the fact that this was based in Glasgow/Edinburgh and also was in the Rugby field. Immediately, I chuckled, with the temper/grumpyness of Brodie, our angry scotsman, coming through on the pages, and then Charile our Fiery FMC! You could literally feel the hate between our two MCs at the beginning. Now, don't be put off with the swearing. As you go through the pages, you can see how it fits the character, and It's how some of us Scots can be 😂
One of the things i love about Beatrice Bradshaws books is that we get taken on a journey with the characters, through humour, emotion, chemistry and well written/placed spice ( and boy was there chemistry/spice between them), and Tackled by Trouble was no different!
I loved Charlie's character, a strong intelligent FMC who could hold her own with Brodie, but also had to learn to trust and let people in again.Brodie who had a major chip on his shoulder, comes across as theee grumpiest/angriest man ever, but Charlie breaks down those walls, and we see a softer side to him who will do anything for those he cares for.
I can't wait to see what's next in book 2 of the series and hope we get to see a little bit of Brodie and Charlie as well!
Now off to find my very own rugged, grumpy, caring Rugby man.... I live in Scotland surely it shouldn't be that hard 😂 👀
My first read from Beatrice after a rec from a very good friend & definitely not my last! I just loved it! There’s: plot, spice, humour & very sturdy thighs! 😉
Brodie MacRae is fighting his way out of the hole caused by a gambling scandal. Charlie Harrington, the woman he feels is partly responsible for that hole is now, his new agent. Despite their obvious dislike for one another, there’s simmering sexual tension & only so long before one of them breaks.
I so enjoyed the plot. How both MC’s past’s had an impact on where they were & the dynamic between them. Plus, the green fingered secrets that unfold.
The side characters, I also adored. Theo, basically Charlie’s work wife & bestie. Team mates: Scottie, pink haired Finn & his unicorn sleep mask & Jamie. Plus, sweet Hannah, Charlie’s baby sister who’s full of fun & enthusiasm! Such great banter between all!!
So , cue some very typical British phases (loo, kn0bhead, jiffy, sh!t brickhouse 👍🤭) & give this a go because I highly recommend it!!
Everything about this book was incredible. Fully-developed, relatable characters portrayed with gritty honesty. Sparkling, stay-with-you prose. A love story that was messy and raw and everything. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.
Man the book title fits this story to a “T”. The main characters kept being tackled with trouble. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming watching them cope and work it out. I enjoyed their journey to a HEA.
I know basically nothing about rugby. But I do know Beatrice Bradshaw's books, and as always, this one sizzles.
In this book we meet Brodie MacRae, a scandal-ridden rugby player fallen from grace and Charlie Harrington, a PR specialist with something to prove as she assumes Brodie's contract. As they push through their own past hurts, they collide into love (that's probably the best rugby metaphor you're going to get out of me!).
I loved how Bradshaw managed the simmering chemistry between these two. I feel like a broken record saying this because I think I say it in every review of her books but the banter is chef's kiss!!
She sets up this series perfectly--blending side characters in just enough where they add to the story without overtaking it. Yet I'm left wondering about certain side characters' lives, but it sounds like some of them will eventually get their own books in this new series.
You can't go wrong with a Bradshaw romance. She's quickly become one of my no-brainer one-click authors.
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book.
Brodie and Charlie. He is an amazing Rugby player with bad publicity prior to being traded to a new team. Charlie was his enemy's girlfriend - can he trust her as his new Agent? Good world building. He falls first. She is in an awkward position as his Agent - will she lose the respect it has taken years to build? It's like Ginger Rogers - she does the same steps, but backwards and in heels! She is not taken as seriously since she is a woman.
if you love grumpy mmc and sports romance - this book should be on your tbr. Fun read with well written spice! I wish we got a bit more from the lead characters but the book was fast paced and a quick read which I always love reading.
I wasn’t sure at first. The profanity felt like a lot, and the opening pages came at me full tilt — pure grump, pure attitude, pure chaos. But then I realised that was the whole point. Brodie MacRae isn’t here to be charming. He’s here to snarl, slam doors, and wreck his career one spectacular PR disaster at a time. And the swearing? It’s all part of that rage-soaked armour. Somewhere along the way — maybe as he softens, maybe as I did — I stopped noticing it. Or maybe it wasn’t there anymore, because Brodie was changing.
Charlie Harrington is everything Brodie doesn’t know he needs. She’s fiery, sharp, and completely over being underestimated. But now she owns Brodie’s contract, and like it or not, she’s responsible for salvaging what’s left of his reputation. They clash. Constantly. And every snarky exchange is loaded with more tension than the entire Six Nations put together.
Their chemistry? Unreal. The kind of slow burn that doesn’t so much simmer as boil over the second you let your guard down. There are promo tours, camera crews, and one hotel room that pushes their barely-holding-it-together dynamic straight into the danger zone. The banter scorches. The glances sizzle. And when it finally snaps — you’ll feel it in your bones.
And look, I won’t lie — my weakness has always been a rugged, whisky-loving rugby man with a chip on his shoulder (ifykyk). So of course Brodie MacRae had me in a chokehold. It was inevitable.
I didn’t race through this in one sitting. I savored it. Every snarky exchange, every moment of tension, every carefully built piece of emotional payoff. It’s spicy, yes — but it’s also beautifully character-driven. Beatrice Bradshaw knows how to write heat, but she also knows how to write heart.
And the setting? Honestly, that pushed it from great to unforgettable. With scenes scattered across the Scottish central belt, it felt like this book was unfolding just outside my door. The Stirling scenes hit hard — especially that library moment. I genuinely had to stop myself from grabbing my car keys. I almost wanted to start stalking the libraries in town, just in case!
By the end, I had that rare feeling — the kind that only comes with a truly immersive book. That sensation of lifting your head and blinking at the real world like, How is it a summer Sunday in Bathgate when I’ve just spent Hogmanay in Brodie MacRae’s place? It got under my skin. It lingered. It made everything around me feel a little more muted for a while.
I've loved every Beatrice Bradshaw book I've read and then when you throw in Rugby, I'm 100% sold. As soon as I read the blurb for Tackled By Trouble I knew I would love it and I wasn't wrong. I devoured this read, instantly loving both Brodie & Charlie.
The tension, angst, heat, chemistry and banter was addictive and pure magic. I loved the Scottish setting and sprinkling of very Scottish slang. Two things I love are a redemption story and a growth story and Bradshaw nailed both here. I loved seeing Brodie’s true self emerge, which was far from the hot-headed loose cannon he was portrayed as, he was a gentle giant who cares deeply about those he loves, a plant-daddy (this sent me down an Instagram rabbit hole 👀) and has a talent for reading to little kids & making his Nonna's spaghetti meatballs. Charlie's growth was so good to see, breaking out of the shadow of her father and arsehole ex and coming into herself, which was a tough, successful, funny, passionate powerhouse who is full of heart.
This was a fun, spicy, banter filled read with plenty of depth and two characters that were coming into their own individually but also brought the best out of each, the brilliant side characters added a little something extra especially Hannah, oh she's just adorable.
I throughouly enjoyed this read and can not wait for what comes next in this series.
🏈 Tropes
- enemies to lovers - rugby player x sports agent - Scottish setting - forced proximity - only one bed - work romance - he falls first - plant daddy - bossy MFC
I received an advanced copy for the author, all thoughts are my own.
4.25 stars 4.25 spice - Brodie is a professional rugby player caught up in a gambling scandal. He moves to a new team the Stirling Rebels to get a new start. He’s dark, brooding, and angry. He meets his new PR agent Charlie and realizes she’s the fiancée of the player who created the scandal. Except Charlie dumped her fiancée, quit her job and moved after being cheated on. Now they must come to an uneasy truce in order to work together to save both of their dreams.
I really liked Charlie. She’s strong, intelligent, loyal, kind, and charming. She puts Brodie in his place, but also believes in him unconditionally. Brodie is a bit more problematic. He’s very angry all the time and becomes very self destructive. But he’s also a big softie who cares deeply about the people he loves. I didn’t really understand why he didn’t try to bond with his teammates more.
The spice is spicy. There’s also quite a bit of Scottish cursing. If either of those things both you, this might not be for you.
I really liked Theo and Hannah. I liked how Brodie stepped up for Hannah. I didn’t like that we never clearly found out who leaked Brodie’s story. I would have liked more resolution or payback to Callum and Charlie’s dad for being horrible to her.
I read a prerelease ARC and wasn’t paid for my opinion. I’m a sports romance girlie, but this was my first rugby book. I’m here for the ruggers. I also loved the Scottish locale. I can’t wait for Theo and Finn’s book. Overall, I enjoyed this book very much. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a unique sports romance with a sunny leading lady and a grumpy bear protagonist.
Due to a PR fail, rugby player Brodie is given another chance of re-branding his persona and his career with his new manager, Charlie. All sounds perfect. Except, Brodie hates Charlie as he is convinced she played a part in his downfall. Not giving him an option, Charlie forces Brodie to look at his life and make some changes before it’s too late.
Rugby ✅ Grumpy Brodie ✅ Scottish rugby player ✅ Meatballs ✅ Reading to children ✅ Captain of rugby team ✅
And those 👆 are a just a few of the things I loved about this book. I’m British, of course I love rugby. Have I been obsessed with finding rugby romance novels? Yes. You know I have.
I am obsessed with Charlie and Brodie. They both have their own hang ups, but they way they supported each other through it all was just 🥺🥺 I loved how blooming grumpy Brodie was and Charlie was an absolute boss at not giving in to him and showing him what’s what-she was top tier.
I think best I loved most though was seeing how Brodie grew as a character, especially with his team, who I think needed his change. I loved the characters, especially when they didn’t put up with his nonsense.
Can I just shout out first of all about this cover ,about this woman and her rugby playing lover. She’s a stunner, she’s loud she’s brash she’s proud ,she also owns his ass ,his contract is in her hands so she’s quite happy leading him a dance ,a cadence if you will. Brodie is built like a stack of hay ,his big strong arms like he hoists her up eh? He can carry her off ,to the bedroom or boardroom her choice . Trying to prove she’s the best in the business ,without no funny business. Her ex ,and Brodie’s rival did her wrong so is this Charlie’s redemption song . Owning his nemesis ,him dancing to her tune ,is this bliss ,shouting woohoo! This Scottish Rugby Rebel romance is heaven sent a proper rugged romance . She was saving face at the same time as having a real good time. Charlie Harrington and Brodie Macrae’s story blew me away. Hot stuff by Beatrice Bradshaw ,her finger on the pulse of impulse reading ,well look at that cover ( I know I mentioned it already ) phwoar , but oh to be in Brodie’s embrace . The premise was full of promise and delightful storytelling synonymous with this great Scottish and proud of it author. Written extremely well and the characters are great with their own trait and nuance . An awesome romance read ,I devoured with greed.
Tackled by Trouble by @beatricebradshawauthor Release Date: 27th May 2025!!
Firstly thank you so much Beatrice for the ARC offer. You had me sold when you mentioned Stirling, but hands up never have read any sport romance before.... i think this may change cause this was an amazing start!!
The MCs absolute distain for each other was feet kickingly brilliant. I loved no matter how low the comment was from one, the other had one so much lower! The tension was..... tensing, but I knew by 15% in that I was going to love this read.
Charlie is in sports PR, she's recently started her own business and is ready and waiting to PR the hell out of Scotlands Rugby Nightmare but top player.... one problem, he hates her....and I mean hate.
Brodie is not happy with his new agent but after his career going down the drain, being dropped from his team and being labeled a nightmare in the paper.... he is going to have to suck it up and work with her.... eventhough she had a part to play in his downfall.
The tension, the humor, the digs.... the forearms.... 😂
This was a brilliant read and I'm so excited for everyone to be able to grab it next week!!
This is the first of a new series based around Scottish Rugby. Charlie can't believe how much life has changed. No more working for her father. Now more living in London. No more fiance. Now she's starting over in Edinburgh and has opened her own management company. What she wasn't expecting was to end up having her ex's arch rival. Brodie can't believe his reputation is in tatters and his place in the rugby world has vanished. Now he's hoping to start over with a newly formed team. That is until he meets his new manager and it's non other than the woman who blew up his life, reputation and career. Can they actually work together and rebuild his career. This compelling story shows how not everything is what you think, and sometimes risking everything is the only way to prove yourself. I loved everything about the very spicy rugby story. The characters are so believable and the team mates show how to build a team you have to commit and believe that there is NO I in team. I really can't wait for the next in this series.
4.5🌟 stars Author Beatrice Bradshaw creates such dreamy male leads and Brodie the bad boy rugby star is one of the best! He starts the story an angry, heavily cussing athlete who's been rejected by his Glasgow team's management and his teammates because of a rumor campaign instigated by a rival player. Yes, he's been wronged but he's gruff, grumpy and hateful to Charlie, the female lead, who he assumes played a major role in his downfall. Yet, page by page, his rough, gruff edges smooth down and his good qualities shine through as he grudgingly works with Charlie to rebuild his reputation and get him back in the game as a major player, though on a fledgling team. His stint reading to tiny tots was adorable!
And it takes a 'mo, but when the sensual heat between them erupts, it's all go, steamy yes, but romantic too.
(Loved the cover too)
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
ARC Review: i was contacted by the author after she saw i liked similar books and asked if i wanted to read it, and im so glad i said yes!! this book was just what i needed, a sweet, short, and spicy rugby romance, with the bonus of being set in scotland! i really like charlie and brodie as individuals and as a couple, they work very well! brodie is the perfect calm for charlie’s high-strung nature, and she brings the order to his life. the writing had me whipping through this book, it was succinct yet well-explained, it didn’t feel too wordy nor rushed. the pacing was great, the tension was thick, and the romance was so cute. i loved how brodie was almost instantly obsessed with charlie and how he communicated to her. i wish it was longer, i would’ve loved more chapters of them together out in the world but im sure we’ll see that in the future books! thank you so much for the ARC!
I couldn’t wait to read this new series written by Beatrice Bradshaw. She is one of my favorite authors where the story always takes place in Scotland. I love Scotland and love me a strong man from Scotland!!
I enjoyed the banter between Charlie and Brodie. Their enemy to lover story is one of my favorites so far. I absolutely loved Brodie and his soft side that he shows Charlie when she needs it the most. Brodies soft side to Hannah and the impact it has on Charlie. I enjoyed that they both had fault and they both owned up to their issues in the end.
The story development and character development for the series was great and makes you want to read the next one. I know I definitely can’t wait for the next story to be released about Theo!
This book is what happens when you set Ted Lasso in Scotland and give it Outlander vibes. It’s an enemies to lovers romance with a sports redemption arc. Despite their genuine hatred of each other, our eventual lovers’ futures are tied up in each other, forcing them to work together for the common good.
You’ll get instant attraction, a sparkly cowboy hat, secret dating, only one bed, a secret plant Instagram account and some uniquely Scottish humour (“you’re about as easy to love as a pair of wet socks”). It’s a slow-ish burn book with a door that lost out to a rugby scrum.
If you want a good sports romance where he falls hard, with beautiful descriptions of Scotland, add this book to your TBR.
Only One Bed Forced Proximity Enemies To Lovers Rugby Player X Sports Agent Work Romance He Falls First
🌶🌶🌶
My first rugby romance and I loved it! The angst, chemistry, banter and spice are top tier! Brodie comes across as a grump but he's really a big softie when it comes to Charlie (and her sister) and who doesn't love a plant daddy? As a fellow rugby fan I loved the mention of not only the All Black's but South African rugby as well - the two teams I support (SA my home team & NZ my adoptive team). This is the first novel in the 'Scottish Rugby Rebel' series and I cant wait to read more, especially Finn's story (hopefully).
Rugby playing Brodie finds out his new agent is none other than the women he partly blames for leaking lies to the press and she now owns his contract.
Charlie is determined to build up Brodie’s image her new business is relying on it.
Full of banter, flirting and lots of laughs this book is a great read, I’ve read other @beatricebradshawauthor books and this is just as good as the others I’ve read.
A go to romance author for me, great characters and a really good storyline and spice too 😍
Thank you @beatricebradshawauthor for a copy of this ebook I cannot wait to see what you write next
This was sexy and fun, but also hit some issues about being a famous athlete head on. Brodie is the stubborn, hardheaded rugby player and Charlie is his new pr manager. She also happens to be the ex fiancee of his nemesis. What could go wrong?
They hate each other, that's what! Charlie finds Brodie infuriating and he finds her irritating, but as they work together to bring back his image, his rough exterior slowly crumbles. Charlie realizes that Brodie may be more than a client and that terrifies her.
They're both headstrong, and not great at communicating their feelings, but thankfully they have good friends to call them out on it. Their chemistry is explosive and worth fighting for.
I ADORED the banter - the spice was swoony, the dislike was tangible.. and I have a burning desire to learn more about rugby so I can thirst while also understanding the game lol!
If you like: - FMCs who will stop at nothing to prove to everyone (and themselves) that they can bounce back from setbacks while rehabbing one of the most abysmally reputed players in the league - MMCs who are layered .. like onions lol - adorable little sisters who will steal the heart out of your chest before you can say 'pink sparkly cowboy hat' .. snatch this up for a delightful read!
