Everyone in Rockhead Point watched in fascination as the Barnett brothers found their women, and their happily
ever afters.

But I’m not a Barnett.

I don’t need someone else’s family legacy to help me find my woman, because I already know exactly who she
is.

My best friend is everything I’ve ever wanted, but she’s put me firmly in the friend-zone and I have no idea how to
get out of it.

I refuse to force her to want me, but maybe she just needs a little push to realize she already belongs to me.

Bringing her to Rockhead Point where the normal rules don’t apply seemed like the perfect idea, but once she
gets to town she feels even more out of reach.

When it looks like friends might be all we’ll ever be, I open a door and change everything.

Day and night become separate worlds for us, but I’ll stop at nothing until she’s mine twenty-four seven.

Forget the Barnett family legacy. Now, it’s all about the myth of the Montana Mountain Protectors.

This author is always recommended for j/p obsessed H but I'm coming to realise she may not be for me

How can the H want her, thinking she might be his one but still fuck OW? How hard is it to let the H stay celibate? Like seriously why are we to believe that men can't stay without sex but women can???

This author gives a ton of warnings about her heroes being OTT j/p but the biggest warnings should be they can't keep their dicks in their pants. Second try from her and as much as I love me a j/p alpha male I may have to give up 😭

It wouldn’t take much to find some company for the night. The bar in town is still open, and this close to closing time, the women that’ll still be there are the ones that will happily invite me into their bed for the night. But easy pussy lost its appeal months ago when I realized my fascination with Parker wasn’t going away.
That’s not to suggest I’ve been a monk this last year—I haven’t—but when I realized I felt nothing but a physical release once the sweat had dried, bar hookups just became a bit ugly.

Cuteness!!!

I loved all previous mountain men and jumpers but at times can cringe that way too over the top or just uncomfortable- but this went more on the regular side. Still possessive but not as crazy! Loved it! Did not like that Parker was a little too holding or pushing Danny away, but still loved that the FMC was a daddy’s girl that lived in his garage so that was a nice flashback to my own story growing up. Loved getting a glimpse at the Barnetts and seeing the tables turn. Loved it!!

I had never been more frustrated with a couple more, an MMC than I was with Danny. Also, i was annoyed that Danny knew he wanted Parker, and it wasn't shown, but he mentioned he messed around with ow. 🙄🙄🙄

This man just assumed things and when he finally told Parker he wanted her she was his he left her because she didn't say anything she never said she rejected him she was just confused then when she tried to say something he cut her off and leave.
What happened to Gemma men?? Danny didn't feel obessed he was more push-pull push pull. In every scene they had.

And Parker girlll. She was giving mixed feelings to. She enjoyed the sex but just because she's a mechanic, she didn't wanna do public affection? I'll be honest I rather read about Henry and his love interest, which is Danny's friend. The only other thing I liked was the secondary charas. And them telling them hey do it this way. Which could've worked.

Saftey-she does go on a "date," but the guy is gay and turns into one of her bffs

No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary charas, drama, sexy times, no virgins

✨ARC Review✨

First I was obsessed with the Barnett brothers and now I am absolutely devouring the smoke jumpers👏🏼

This book is Danny’s book and if you had read Oz’s book previously you will know that Danny has an gamer friend named Parker👀 Now Danny and Parker actually starts off as friends, they lived in the same town together previously but never really interacted and then Parker caught Danny’s eye and reached out to play some online games together and the two created a strong friendship and kept each other very updated in their lives and of course they both gradually fell for one another🥹

Parker quits her job as a mechanic and this is where Danny sees his opportunity to have Parker closer to him. He gets her an interview with Penn and Bay Barnett as these two brothers own a mechanic shop. I mean Parker pays for her flights offers her a place to say, he was very persistent that she was coming to Montana😂.

Now what’s different in this books from the rest of the other books is that even though Parker is Danny’s woman, he wants to make her fall for him and want him completely with him having to resort to the Barnett methods😂 But while Parker is already falling for Danny she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship for just a fling, which is totally understandable. Parker is also insecure feeling that she’s not the type of person that Danny would go for when it was clearly not the case as Danny wanted to worship the ground she walked on.

We had a lot of push and pull between these characters, while Danny was still the typical alpha male, with the “mine, mine, mine” and “my woman” he still gave Parker her space and wanted her to come to him when she was sure that it was in fact him that she wanted.

The tension, teasing and the spice were absolutely on point as always. But then again they always are in Gemma’s books.😮‍💨

Also I absolutely adored Henry, he worked in the Barnett garage alongside Parker and the two became instant friends🫶🏼

Also without giving away a spoiler we got a Barnett tradition switcheroo in this book, and I was absolutely here for it👏🏼

From the interactions of two characters we can definitely see who the next flame jumper it is that’s gonna fall under the Barnett spell and I seriously cannot wait👏🏼

Thank you so much to the author for providing this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

Whew, this was a swing and a miss for me. This story took an unwelcome departure from the basic setup of all of these books. Man sees woman, main claims woman, man bulldozes woman into loving him. Danny (MMC) and Parker (FMC) were a bit of a frustrating mess.

They start off just as friends and over 2000 miles apart. Danny finally manages to get her to where he's at and from their they proceed to do a painfully awkward dance of push and pull. They take two steps forward and then two steps back leaving them in a weird friends with benefits limbo. I was ready to move past that after the first encounter but we are made to relive it several times over before they finally get on the same page but even then there is a lingering doubt until the end.

It also puts Parker on the backfoot of having to prove her love to Danny which I found very off putting. Talk about a major turnoff when all the previous books had unrepentant bulldozing cavemen in them.

They have numerous unsatisfying encounters involving sex toys before finally having sex around 62%

No virgins
No condoms
No OW/OM drama
No cheating
No breakups once they are FINALLY together
No separation

Safety - I think this is safe. No OM drama but H does thinks she's on a sorta date with OM at one point but the guy she's "out" with is gay.

❗️DNF @ 65%❗️
Star Rating: ⭐️
Spice Rating:🌶🌶🌶
❗️Safety up until DNF point is below❗️

📌 Reason for DNF: I got tired of the back-and-forth. MMC would confess his feelings and then leave when FMC just stood there. FMC felt that she wasn't good enough for MMC, so she wouldn't acknowledge his confession even though she was "in love" with him. They'd hook up that same night and then repeat the process all over again.

📌 Safety: Sexual Harassment at Workplace (on-page)

📌 No Cheating/Sharing (thus far)

📌 MMC hasn't been with anyone in a few months but has had hookups and such.

📌 FMC has had a healthy sex-life prior to MMC.

This book sucked.

It did not read or feel like a romance book at all, yes there's heaps of smut scenes that are hot to read but even that can't save this book. They're supposed to be best friends and this is supposedly a friends to lovers book but Danny certainly didn't act like he knew Parker.

*Spoiler*
He would tell her he has feelings for out of the blue not even wait a minute to let the information sink and literally leave and walk away, but he's mad at her for not immediately jumping for joy at the fact he likes her, because yes in his head he's saying he loves her but only telling her he likes her but also in his head comparing the fact that he's never been rejected before and how other women would of jumped at the chance to be with him.
When he does tell her he loves her he again walks away because she doesn't react quick enough and god he made me want to pull my fucking hair out!

Parker is also irritating but I felt less irritated with her because when she decided she loved him she actually committed to showing and letting him know she loved him.

Also I felt like the book ended really abruptly and not like any of the other books in this book universe as she literally had to trick him into getting married, the epilogue sucked and we don't actually get to see them be a happy couple at all as the entire book is miscommunication and him thinking about how other women would never of rejected him (bleh)

Also I get this is a series but not every freaking book needs to have the next books couples in it like let us enjoy the current story instead of forcing multiple other future storylines.

"I need to make her see me as her man, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen."

Oh my days... Gemma, you have done it again. I can honestly say i think this one may be my favourite of her Montana Mountain Protectors and probably even out of all the Montana Series - Looking at you Granger, think you've officially been demoted by Danny.

Things to expect:
✨ friends to lovers
✨ curvy fmc
✨ forced proximity
✨ INCREDIBLE spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. I mean no repetitiveness, straight nastyyyyyy bedroom action. It was different from what i've been reading lately and i absolutely DEVOURED those scenes (the mirror scene specifically still has me like 😯 🤨😏).
✨ obsessed mmc.
✨ mine mine mine and you guessed it! More mine.

Truly this book was even better than i anticipated. It was a slight change in pace to what we've typically come to expect from the Men in the Montana Men series but still very authentic/True to the overall feel of the town/series.

"I’ll lay the entire world at your feet if you tell me that’s what you need".

Lets start with the MMC, Danny. This man was a breath of fresh air in this series and honestly, i did not think i'd enjoy that as much as i did. BUT boy did i love him.
Let me break him down:
- This man is dominant but not restrictive.
- Possessive, jealous AND obsessseddd, but somehow makes that seem healthy? Like that was so hot of you Danny, do it again.
- He was nastyyyyyyyyyy in the bedroom and down bad for our beautiful fmc Parker.
- He matched her energy and elevated it.
- He loved her enough for the both of them and was sure about them even when she wasnt.
This man makes you side eye your real life partner bc some of those bedroom scenes?? Masterpeices. Give me 10 of them.

Now onto our dear Parker. This is is a great fmc. I think Gemma truly did paint a perfect picture of a woman falling inlove with her best friend and being terrified of losing the only person she has who truly loves and supports her, for her.
Parker was:
- hesitant but resilient.
- Owned her sexuality and confident in it.
- A kick ass woman in male dominated industry and is a FANTASTIC one at that.
- Truly showed up for those when it mattered in this book.
- Loved him enough to push through her internal struggles to be what he needed.
I LOVED HER. typically the push and pull of a friends to lovers trope frustates me to no end but this one was done right and i could have read a whole trilogy about this couple.

If you're looking for a lighter read with honestly more smut/relationship building than plot (no shade, thats EXACTLY what i wanted) and the intensity of a darker romance, this ones it.
Gemma perfectly tempered her characters in a way to balance the story line and the raunchiest of raunchy smut and made this one a favourite of mine.

SAFTEY:
> Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5
> Spice level: 🌶🌶🌶🌶 🌶️/ 5
> Main Characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5
> Side characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 - i loved their little input on Danny and Parkers relationship.
> Tropes, themes & triggers: Praise kîŋk / degradation kink / elements of BDSM / friends to lovers / forced proximity.
> Angst: Little to no angst, depending on your tolerance.
> OW/OM/Cheating: none.
> Ending: HEA (Happily ever after)
> POV: Dual

Please note: I received a complimentary copy & am voluntarily leaving a review. However i did enjoy the book enough to purchase my own final copy!

Let me just preface this by saying that I jumped into this series without reading the first three books, but I have read the Barnett Brothers series and was obsessed. I am absolutely tickled pink that she is basically using "Barnett" as a verb & I freaking loved it! This one could still be read as a standalone, or out of order from the series and I don't think you'll ruin anything for yourself if you want to jump around.

I would easily argue that this book has a bit more back and forth angst between our FMC and MMC than we typically see in a Gemma Weir book. When asked about Weir's Mountain Man series, I usually say to people that if you can't suspend your feminism and reality for a hot minute, then this isn't the book for you. But I think this one might almost be a bit tamer than what you might be used to seeing if you're coming off of the Barnett Brother's books. But please don't let that deter you, this was the spiciest slow burn to boot, too! And we expect no less from Ms. Weir.

Rename this book Miscommunication

This one is a favorite for me so far in the spin-off series. Danny is the sanest MMC, let's be honest, but I do think he overreacts in multiple scenes. Instead of trying to get an answer or waiting a moment for Parker to process, he immediately goes into rejection mode AND LEAVES. Parker does tend to freeze up when it's truth time. "Don't you want to be with me?" Parker:🫥 LIKE SAY SOMETHING GEEZ!

Though I really liked Danny & Parker together, miscommunication is my least favorite trope, and it drove me crazzzzy! I kept thinking, "Get your sh*t together!" the whole second half of the book.

I'm very excited about Henry's book - Omg, it's going to be off the charts hot 🔥 🥵 I just know it! Also, who is Knights girl? I feel like he's mentioned in every book, but nothing comes of it. When do we get his book?!

Enjoyed it a lot!

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: best friends to lovers
Angst: 😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Overall, I'm enjoying this series and I liked Smoulder the best so far. Still has the over the top to the point of ridiculousness, but this one had more a much better smexy time to plot ratio than the last one. I enjoy the hot scenes, but these are far too long to just be smut, lol. This one also had an opposites attract element with her being a short, curvy mechanic and him a tall, athletically inclined hottie that I really enjoyed.

It was an OK read

Love this Author's work, but this book was just OK to me. I felt it lacked in the romance department. The h had sexy time with herself for 65% of the book. didn’t feel the intense connection that this author usually writes between the couples.

I love Gemma Weir. If you’ve read my reviews you know this.

Smoulder felt like a complete departure from what Gemma writes and how she portrays her MMCs and her FMCs for that matter. I was missing the intensity, obsession, possessiveness and all around red flag behavior from Danny. Parker acted like she could do without Danny in her life or maybe just do without like everything but self deprecation. She seemed so boring most of the time with her hang ups.

I honestly was just super disappointed in this story. I wanted classic Gemma and I got a softer version here. I NEEDED the bulldozing and sneakiness haha.

Hopefully the next book will get back to the Barnett style bulldozing.

After being severely let down by Oz, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book. But I was pleasantly surprised and also confused by this book.

A first - a man who doesn’t wanna pull a Barnett! Of all the jumpers we’ve met thus far, I do think Danny fit the bill to be the one to do this. He is also the first man in this universe to actually already know and have an established good friendship with his love interest. So at times, I liked seeing that he wanted her to like him on her own terms rather than just forcing his way in.

Many people may take issue with this, but I actually appreciated the way Weir actually broke her own formula for this story. I think it shows she’s not afraid to stray from her own tried and true style and it made for an interesting different experience. If you did happen to enjoy the OTT, growling, mine mine mine of her men, you’ll probably be severely disappointed though.

Also slight spoiler, but I also like this book hints that some of these men aren’t just going to find their woman, but rather man as well. I liked knowing we were gonna get some diversity as well as also having Parker be a plus sized woman. I also liked that she is a woman who is both feminine but also loves her job as a mechanic. This book definitely felt like the biggest departure from the usual norms of her stories and these were the parts I liked the most.

But with the good comes the bad…

Honestly my biggest issue with this book would be how repetitive it seemed to get after a while. So much of their interpersonal conflict seems to revolve around neither of these two know how to say what they mean or mean what they say. Miscommunication in books is a normal trope and I don’t always hate it, but in this context, I felt like I was seeing the same argument take place over and over again. Danny says Parker kept sending mixed signals but so was he? Like he wants her to prove it to him but then keeps walking away anyway?

All this back and forth didn’t really give us time to see their chemistry, so at times I even wondered why they even liked one another so much.

I also felt this book had the most abrupt ending? We get no real sense of them being happy and even when we do, it’s over before it starts and it just feels really rushed through.

This is also a side pet peeve, but I am starting to notice some editing and continuity errors especially in this book. The book says Nero is dating Cora when his girlfriend is named Tori…and Lulu and Penn having all girls despite the book referencing her second twin pregnancy mentions her having boys? These are small errors that aren’t significant to the plot, but I do think if the series is expanding, keeping all the prior details straight should be taken care of.

Overall, I don’t hate this book, I actually liked that the author was willing to experiment, but some facets definitely fell flat for me.

***spoilers - whole story***
Parker (Parks) is a female mechanic. Her and her dad worked on cars growing up. When he passed, she tried to keep his shop open but was unable because no one wanted a female to work on their vehicles. So she got a cr@p job at a chain shop and the guys treated her horribly. She finally has enough and she quits.
Danny is a smoke jumper and is obsessed with Parker. He sort of st@lked her for a few months on social media before he found a way to talk to her… via online gaming. He was never into gaming before but did it for her. They became fast friends and even best friends. They talk daily, sometimes multiple times.
When Danny learned she quit he tries to get her to move to Montana and work at the Barnette’s Shop. She shits him down many times but eventually caves. Danny is excited he can finally make Parker his.
Parker really likes Danny but she feels she is way out of his league. Which causes many misunderstandings. Danny tries heavily to flirt with her but she brushes it off thinking he flirts with everyone, he can’t want her.
He comes in her room at night to “help” her O!!! A few times. The confesses he wants her but she says nothing, because she can’t believe it is real. He takes it wrong and storms off. But he doesn’t give up.
Eventually he tries again and she again says nothing but tries as he walks away. He ignores her. He goes on shift for 4 days and she tries to text and call him but he ignores her. When he responds it is short. She tries to send him a pic of her “t0y” drawer but he doesn’t seem interested.
**side plot is the Barnettes’ shop has a temp office worker, Henry, who is 22 and g@y. Anders, one of the jumpers, is obsessed (can’t wait for this book)**
When he gets back from shift, he finds 2 pics of Parker.
They go back and forth. Danny trying to claim Parker. Parker not believing Danny could want her.
Finally they both give in and Parker surprises Danny with a wedding.

This book follows Danny, another of the smoke jumpers, and his online/long-distance gaming bestie, Parker. Danny has been obsessed with Parker since seeing a picture of her ages ago. He has spent the past year trying to get her to visit him, so when Parker quits her job in a mechanics' garage due to misogynistic BS, Danny takes the opportunity. Thanks to Barnett's, he is able to get her a job offer in Rockhead Point, which means she will finally be within reach for him to make her his.

Still chasing the over-the-top and cheesy enjoyment factor from this author's Montana Mountain Men series, I keep not finding it in this one, unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, these books deliver the spicy times I expect when reading a book by Gemma, but they just aren't hitting the spot for me, and I can't fully articulate why. The elements of a possessive alpha male main character were there, but not as in-your-face as some of Gemma's other male leads, and Parker's insecurities were maddening. For someone who claims to know she is pretty, she sure doesn't act like it, and the way she talked down about her body constantly was ridiculous because, from the description of her, her "curves" were literally T&A... she isn't truly plus-sized from what I could gather. 🙄

This is the second-to-last book in this series that is currently out. I'm not sure if more are planned or not. But I read this because I didn't just want to skip to the last book, as that is, I believe, Gemma's first dip into MM, and as someone who reads a fair amount of MM, I'm interested to see how the dynamics she has at play in these books will play out in that kind of romance. 🌶🌶

"She doesn't want me,'' I protest
"So, make her want you, he replies like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"How?" I ask, stupefied
"I don't know. Seduce her, demand it of her, convince her. Pick a Barnett and try their version of crazy until you find the one that works."

4.75⭐️ -’I’ve never had a type before, but I do now. It’s her, she’s my type.’
-‘because even though she might not know it yet, she’s already mine.’
-I know I’ll never want anything but her for the rest of my life. I just need to convince her to feel the same way.’
-she’s mine. I feel it so completely that my soul doesn’t understand why we’re giving her the option to stop what’s happening between us.’

Oh my god, Danny 🔥🫠
I absolutely loved this man!
He was actually perfect!
I loved the pining from afar and the bestfriend-trying-to-get-out-of-the-friend zone vibes!
I love how we see early on that she feels some type of way about him… and then it jumps to his pov and he completely turns it all around by always wanting her. Ooft!
This book was completely unique to this world, in that he went about things a lil different to his friends….
There were no kidnappings, no secret pregnancy schemes, no forced weddings… he was honest and upfront with her and laid the ball in her court. That’s not to say he didn’t fight for her, because he did, just in his own way 😏🌶️
While I didn’t always understand where the FMC was coming from, I did (overall) like her! Her badass mechanic vibes were a fun addition to the group of girls.
I knew I was going to love Danny, I even said so in my last book’s review. I still think Buck is my number one, but Danny has taken second spot. And um, the way Anders’ and Knight’s stories were set up? God I’m excited. I’m actually really looking forward to the first MM in this universe too! Gemma also announced in the acknowledgments that this mountain world is going to keep expanding, so that’s extremely exciting 🤣🫶🏼🎉
Overall, loved it!

Smoulder is following Danny and Parker. If you have read any of the Mountain Man series or any of the other 3 Mountain Man Protector series then you know what you're getting into. I was actually happily surprised that Danny handled his relationship and Parker seeming reluctant to be with him differently than the other guys in the series. I think that was a good call on Gemma's part. Now don't get me wrong this is Rockhead Point so there is plenty of “mine” happening, and claiming going on but Danny doesn't bulldoze or “make” Parker fall for him. He wants her to want him not to give her no other choice. It was refreshing to get something a little different but still have the same feeling of the Rockhead Point craziness. We also get introduced to a new character and a little peak at a future relationship. Knight also makes an appearance and talks about his person which I think is a character we have been introduced to in a previous book and I'm crossing my fingers it's who I think.

Not great but pretty good.

The smut is always top notch with Gemma Weir’s books but I felt zero chemistry between the characters in this one.

Danny wasn’t caveman enough and Parker was dull.

It honestly felt like Gemma wrote this book to specifically appease the readers that complain about the OTT caveman men because Danny was all growly “mine mine mine” in his head but did nothing OTT like the rest of the men. In fact, Parker was the one to plan a secret wedding and trick him. And the whole time Danny was saying how much he DOESN’T want to take the Barnett caveman approach and instead wants her to want him… even though the caveman approach is what made all of us fall in love with this world.

I’m really looking forward to Knights book and from the way he talks he’s going to be the biggest OTT caveman we’ve yet to see and I’m praying I’m not wrong.

Chemistry and romance was 3 ⭐️

This series is just as engaging and addictive as others from this talented author!
The MMP guys are just as dominant and intense with their women as the Barnett brothers were, when they found their forever loves.

Parker and Danny have an easy friendship, but for Danny - it's definitely not just friendship!
His inner "caveman" rises to the surface the minute she is in his space, and their chemistry is steamy and intense.

I suggest reading this series in order to avoid spoilers. I really enjoyed this couple and how they found their HEA. The seriously OTT, questionable behavior (found in the other stories in this series) wasn't as pronounced in this story, but Danny's possessive behaviors are very entertaining.

I look forward to reading the next one in this series, and encourage you to enjoy this author's works.

Simply put? A dud. Like the author said, Danny is definitely not like her other mountain, fire rescue men. With that being the case, the constant miscommunication and hot and cold between him and Parker was EXHAUSTING. I just wanted him to grab her and force her to realize what was going on. And Parker? She drove me crazy with her insecurity and double stereotype. Constantly saying she's looked down on for her trade and no one can like or take her serious when that's all she wants; then turns around downgrades Danny because he's a good looking guy...like cmon now be for real. I was so ready for their story to be over, and honestly, the only good thing this had was the setup for Anders story and more on Knight as well. Danny and Parker would have been better off being in the background playing their video games instead of playing stupid head games with each other.

MY THOUGHTS:
At this point, books by Gemma Weir is my self-confessed crack when nothing is getting my interest. And I was so glad that this book came up at the right moment. Delicious to its core and so different (in a very endearing way) from the other books in the series. Parker and Danny have been friends but unbeknownst to each other, both are harboring feelings for each other. And when she moved to his town, all special kind of possessive behavior, which I devoured occurred! Shoutout to the ending too because it's a chef's kiss!

Many stupid and over the top moments and has some editing errors. On page 252 of the kindle version, it says that Nero’s girlfriend is named Cora when it’s actually Tori. I read it only because I’ve already read the first 2 books and was already invested in the universe (could not get through the 3rd one). It was cringey at a lot of the parts and the spicy scenes were ok. I think the book is just meant to be a fun, smutty, light read but I feel like the quality of this series has seriously tanked since the first book. I enjoyed the first book in the series a lot, but every following book hasn’t lived up to it. It’s all very repetitive and uses over the top writing to keep the reader engaged. I think the author can do a lot better IMO.

It's always a good, fun, and sexy read with Gemma. Think I'll always read what she writes.
I really liked Danny he was fun and sexy, Parker was cool, I liked her sexual confidence and her career choice also, I did become increasingly more annoyed by their complete lack of communication skills to the point of pure frustration, I wanted to scream.
That can always be a tricky line with friends to lovers, not wanting to "ruin/lose the friendship" and how far to push that before they cave... Parker had absolutely no ability to communicate her feelings.
Be very interested to read Anders and Henry.... and I'm patiently waiting to see who Knight has hidden away.
I want BABIESSSS, and that man plans get to get a woman pregnant, and I need it, lol.

Good Read

If you love super protective, totally obsessed and intensely alpha MMCs then Gemma Weir’s books are totally for you. I absolutely love the characters that she creates and the world they live in. I love the little hints that have been left in this book as to what comes next and I’m super excited for them to be released. The story itself was totally different than the other books in the series. It still had to growly alpha male but I loved how everything came together and fell into place and that ending was just brilliant. I would 100% recommend reading this book.

I was so excited for Danny’s book after reading Flame (Oz & Etta). However, the push and pull of the hero (Danny) is so frustrating it’s hard to believe that this is supposed to be an OOT possessive alpha male. Danny lacks confidence, commitment, communication, dominance, possessive traits and so much more. The entire book felt like a child have a temper tantrum and unable to communicate or follow through on what he’s “suppose” to want. He spends little to no time with the FMC and when they are together he seems to enjoy watching & assisting rather than taking complete control. Utter disappointment.

Holy moly!!

Holy moly!!! Parker and Danny’s story really has put me through the emotional wringer!! Frustrating, hot, beautiful, obsessive, whiplash!!! Lol! All of that and more!! Throw in the Barnetts and Danny’s team and its craziness in all its glory.
But what a read!! Danny and Parker have been friends for a while and he is ready to move himself from the friend zone but will Parker see him as anything else?
Parker wants it all and more but is finding it hard to let go and full trust what is going on right in front of her.
Gah!!! My damn nerves!! Lol! But what a read!
