Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.

Reread

This is one of my favorite ménage stories. It's MMF so we get some yummy MM action going on too.

Garrett is a bit of an asshole in the beginning but he comes around eventually. And he's a yummy dominant alpha. Talon is nurturing and protective of Kalia. And Kalia is a sweet and kind heroine.

I really wish this author would write more in this series. There's lots of interesting side characters to draw from. But nothing since 2014....

Interesting

A good story, although a bit long and drawn out. I would have likes the menage to have happened sooner. My biggest complaint was the lack of chemistry between the characters. It was an action packed story otherwise.

Shaky

Kalia is alone, pregnant, and miserable. At least, until Talon is thrown into her cell. Not sure seeing him returned from beatings balances out his convictions that his mate is going to rescue them. She's also pretty sure his mate isn't going to welcome the pregnant stray with open arms.

Spoilers ahead.
Kalia is selfish. She gets rescued but never once thinks to ask the crew if they'll save her sisters, too. Her older was married off into a miserable marriage. She was to be given to a sadist. Her younger is still a pawn, only 17, and could be given to the very creep she was to be. But she keeps her mouth shut for months knowing her evil parents could ruin her life. The romance had no foundation. Garret barely even had a handful of growling interactions with her. Talon spent more time mothering her than flirting. And suddenly it's love. Then immediately into bed with a woman 6 months pregnant, still not eating right, and hasn't touched a guy since she got pregnant. Sandwiches are not sustainable meals, show her eating something more healthy. And she goes from fumbling with the gardener's son to taking on 2 guys without a blink. The female ruled planet was awful. The guys there might be brainwashed but leaving the bad guy there was monstrous. Rape is rape, no matter the gender. Prison or just kill him. I don't like him, he treated women like dolls and service objects, but that doesn't mean he deserves to be molested against his will, objects that amount to rape if you aren't consenting to sexy play inserted in him, and basically being a slave the rest of his life. It isn't " turn about is fair play", it's both parties are equally wrong. We won't discuss the obligatory mean girl in Talon's home village. He's already got one mate, neither want her, Talon's got a life off world, she's delusional and an unnecessary addition. And Talon didn't peel her off him when she latched on. Basically, the plot was shaky. You don't leave an enemy at your back. If you want to stop slavery you destroy his operation. Always get information on people asking about you. Lust is instant, love takes time. Don't abandon your family to a fate you were rescued from. And rape is not ok as punishment. Ever.

Awesome story

This book had everything I'd want to read in a love story! Two meet because both were taken . One because he was the mate of Garrett . And Kalia because her father wanted her gone . Then when Garrett finds them Talon refused to leave Kalia because she's also their mate. Not that Garrett will accept it easily. He's stubborn when it comes to allowing someone into his heart . Kalia give them a run for their time she's not one who wants to come between to mates and she is finding it hard not to fall in love with both men . Read and find out all the twists this story takes in the HEA that all three deserve. One yeah Kalia is expecting but the father was murdered by her father as he wasn't who her father wanted for her. He had promised her in marriage to an old man who was cruel and promise Kalia he was going to Amie her life miserable. I promise you'll be glad you purchased this book ! It's worth it . I'm now in tears .

A bit of almost every genre

No plot spoilers
No potential triggers
There are some grammatical and editorial errors that really irritated.
The lack of a decent proof reader in almost every book by the author has become a major issue for me because it speaks of the authors contempt for the reader.
The characterisation is good, if a little trite, the plotline is thin and rushed in some parts, but with quite a lot of lose ends just left hanging.
It's a menage sci-fi alien werewolf hybrid of a book with some sex scenes and some swearing.
If you are a fan of the various genre you would probably enjoy the book, be aware the book touches lightly on all of the different genre so it ends up more of a mish mash.

The princess saviours

This is something else!!! Couldn't put it down!!! Loved it! Laylah is so descriptive and precise, bringing a whole fantasy world to life with an amazing story of a pregnant daughter who's father just wants to use her but faith thankfully has other plans by placing her with one of her mates when she gets taken and held: that's right she has two mates, two strong handsome men who are willing to move the world to keep her safe and loved.

Talon is a sweetie. Trying to convince his hard-headed mate that Kalia is perfect for them just shows how determined a man can be when he wants what he wants. This story contains a grumpy Alpha male, a sexy wolf shifter and a heroine who finds her happy ever after despite everything she does to sabotage her chances.

Good but tough read.

Let me preface by saying that I like/love everything Ms Roberts has written. I was excited about this book. Great concept, great characters, great steam. But parts of the story I had to fight my way through.

I'm probably not in the right headspace. Its GOOD!

Coming Together

Kalia, Talon, and Garrett are so wonderful!! Each from different worlds, they fly across the galaxy to figure out why there are kidnappers after them. I love the connection between these three! I wish there were more books in this series!

Great book

Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.

Someone is going to die a painful horrible death if Garrett has has anything to say about it as they have abducted his mate Talon and that's not something he'll allow to go unpunished. No one messes with his mate and lives.

Locating Talon's whereabouts, Garret and his team swoop in and free Talon who, while showing signs of abuse and starvation, will recover. Talon, however, refuses to leave his prison without bringing along the female who shared his cell. A female who is obviously pregnant. What has his mate been up to?

* * * *

This was one of those books that I just happen to see promoted on one of my facebook feeds. Loving sci-fi erotic romances and paranormals I just had to check it out. Oh, and it was a m-m-f menage? SCORE !!!!!

This read had all the core ingredients that should have made it a five star for me. Aloof mysterious alpha male who was mated to a sexy, mischievous, affectionate, tough as nails shifter mate meet up with a female who will complete their triad if only one of them wouldn't be such an arse about it. Include some mystery-adventure-suspense action to shake things up and I'd call it a winner.

For the most part it was as I enjoyed the story line and core romance. I can actually see myself grabbing the follow up installments as I really liked this one. However. Some work needs to be done in the actual world building and relationship dynamics as it lacked the emotional elements I look for in a romance themed book. A case where the author told the story without showing the story.

I was repeatedly pulled out of the pages when incidental information just wasn't there to support things. A mysterious pregnant woman comes into the picture who may be your mate and no one questions if the father of her child is living or dead or already her mate? Mmmmmm. Someone has a habit of getting lost and no interventions to place a tracker or such? Also, pregnancy does have changes more than swollen ankles and morning sickness.....
Inquiring minds needed to know.

For the fans who look for adult content in a book. Roughly, the first three fourths of this story is PG rated. Nothing to get your panties in a bind over. The last fourth does include m-m-f scenes that have a D/s quality but to my disappointment the 'tell me' approach was a bummer. Totally appreciate any tab A fits in tab B and slot E goes into slot B scenes but wanted the emotionalism and descriptive action to support that.

I totally appreciated the action-adventure-suspense flow to this book. There are definite surprises in store for the reader as the person or persons who were holding Talon and Kalia want them back. The question is why and to what extent will they go to make that happen. Yuppers. Totally loved the different scenes as they unfolded. Would have been more of a fan if there had been more depth and/or complex complications thrown in though.

Cast of characters. This was a definite positive and the primary reason I will be checking out future installments. Loved the brotherhood team of Ace, Griz, Siren, and Doc who surrounded Talon and Garrett. Additionally, I do hope that I haven't seen the last of Preston. This team of men could kneel at my feet any time they want. :D

I definitely feel this series has potential so would encourage fans of sci-fi erotic romance to check out this read to encourage the author to stick with it and publish a follow up. In Worlds Apart I feel like I was promised a chocolate chip cookie that was never made or delivered. I'm hoping to get that in the next installment.

Kalia makes one decision that alters her entire life. Meeting Talon in her cell is a bright spot and she can only hope he is serious about taking her with him when his mate shows up. Garret is not looking for a third but she grows on him. Will they accept her unborn baby?

Kalia is so strong. Slightly unrealistic being kidnapped so many times. I like that Garret seems cold but he’s always there to save her. Talon is so sweet - he wants Kalia but he doesn’t want to ruin what he has with Garret. Loved this trio.

This book is a great read

I really enjoyed reading this story. The perils they went through were very engaging and original to other stories I have read. The heroine had a couple of TSTL moments which I found frustrating as I liked how strong Laylah wrote her otherwise. On the whole I recommend this book and I definitely highly recommend this author.

Enjoyable

This is the second time I've read this story. Love Sci-fi romance, pregnant heroines, shapeshifters, and big tough guys who love their mates. Bad guys get punished in the most delicious manner.

Schizophrenic dialogue. Too much use of "darlin.'" Sketchy narrative. Despite all that, I kept reading it for the plot.

The shifter bit is extremely low key and not much a part of the story. Interesting premise, uneven implementation. The sex is a bit more raunchy than I often like.
